The most disruptive and preferred idea is to create a portal for student corporate exchange. The portal would allow companies to list the skills they are looking for in interviews and provide resources for students to develop those skills. It would also contain a list of learnings and skills students could acquire after being placed at a company but before joining, to reduce onboarding training needs. This portal could combine multiple ideas, including connecting students with corporate mentors, allowing third parties to provide company-specific onboarding training, and including links to online courses and videos.

With the current emphasis on the business case for diversityand the goal of an inclusive workplace the diversityaudit is designed to be a capstone assignment that measures where an organization is in terms of its change efforts. Diversity auditsare evaluations based on qualitative and quantitative information about the status of diversity within the organization. Today, many organizations conduct audits to assess their progress in determining the effectiveness of diversity recruiting and retention efforts, measuring the value of diversity training, surveying workers about the success of diversity initiatives, such as supplier programs, employee resource groups and diversity councils. These audits reveal whether a gap exists between what is being done and what the organization should do in terms of diversityand are used as a basis for action planning.
Although this assignment is not as involved as a real corporate internal diversityaudit, the content is designed to provide students with an opportunity to visit a real organization and to gather enough information to evaluate its progress in terms of its diversity initiatives. While the team should make recommendations for improving diversityat this organization in the paper and presentation, because of possible legal ramifications, it is not their role to act as actual consultants.
Dividing up the work equitably and preparing the criteriaand questions for the interview are part of the assignment. Do not expect your instructor to do this for the group.

With the current emphasis on the business case for diversityand the goal of an inclusive workplace the diversityaudit is designed to be a capstone assignment that measures where an organization is in terms of its change efforts. Diversity auditsare evaluations based on qualitative and quantitative information about the status of diversity within the organization. Today, many organizations conduct audits to assess their progress in determining the effectiveness of diversity recruiting and retention efforts, measuring the value of diversity training, surveying workers about the success of diversity initiatives, such as supplier programs, employee resource groups and diversity councils. These audits reveal whether a gap exists between what is being done and what the organization should do in terms of diversityand are used as a basis for action planning.
Although this assignment is not as involved as a real corporate internal diversityaudit, the content is designed to provide students with an opportunity to visit a real organization and to gather enough information to evaluate its progress in terms of its diversity initiatives. While the team should make recommendations for improving diversityat this organization in the paper and presentation, because of possible legal ramifications, it is not their role to act as actual consultants.
Dividing up the work equitably and preparing the criteriaand questions for the interview are part of the assignment. Do not expect your instructor to do this for the group.
