Abstract
The concept of green building are now very effective tool to an engineer for construction of a new building and plays a vital role to influence his decision towards saving of water & electricity, providing healthier spaces, and generate less quantity of wastes during constructional period[3]. The quality and quantity of materials are directly gives the output efficiency in respect of the economy as well as positive environmental condition of a green building. But it is often found that total cost of building and total environmental impact values (TEIV) (inside and outside) are not same for all buildings constructed in various places due to fluctuation of market rate from place to place[4]. Thus to define a most economical green building out of n-alternatives, total cost of the building and it’s TEIV are very essential factors for assessment and making rank among them. But it is not a easy job because most of the data are not always crisp or numeric rather linguistic and hedges like ‘high reflective roof coating’, ‘bad orientation’, ‘poor sanitation’, ‘very good environmental quality’, ‘cheap materials’, ‘good drainage system’, ‘heavy rainfall’, ‘high energy consumption’, etc. to list a few only out of infinity. All these data are fuzzy in nature thus evaluation of many objects here is not possible with numerical valued descriptions[1]. All experts’ perception towards giving his decision depends wholly on his neural network functions which fluctuate according to the nature of function of dendrite and axon. Thus every decision-maker hesitates more or less on every evaluation activity which needs to be eliminated. The fuzzy logic has now proved worldwide as a tremendous tool to tackle this situation. This paper presents a fuzzy modelling for selection of most economical green building (GB) out of n-alternatives more precisely.

To support complex tasks in neurosurgery master-slave robotic systems with compact robotic forceps have been developed. Before these systems are inserted in the surgical room, it is necessary to ensure their robust and safe operation. Virtual Reality (VR) simulation may complement this development process by providing a software platform in where the robot control algorithms can be tested without damaging the expensive prototype. In recent years the increase in the computing power along with newer algorithms optimizations enables real time simulation with both visual and physical realism, allowing acquisition of kinematic data for surgical skills analysis, and synthetic data generation for training machine learning algorithms; ultimately interactive simulators provide a safe environment in where neurosurgeons can repeatedly practice without impacting the patient’s health. Despite state-of-the-art simulators, there is little work in simulation of robot-assisted microsurgery. In this talk we present the development of VR simulations for robotic neurosurgery focusing in the micro suturing task with haptic feedback, detailing the methods and current applications. Reducing Low Back Pain in Construction Works; A Fuzzy Logic ApproachWaqas Tariq
In this study, a fuzzy linguistic model was developed to reduce the risk of Low back Pain (LBP) in construction works. The primary objective was to develop a computer-based model for risk assessment capable of generating results which are comparable more efficient than those obtained manually by human experts’ calculations. The expert system used fuzzy set theory to make decisions about the level of risk associated with selected worker. Posture at work, frequency of lift and weight of load were the three constituent elements of input used while the output is risk of LBP. The result of validation shows that there was a strong positive relationship between the calculated human experts’ LBP risk and that of the model with correlation coefficient of 0.934. It can thus be concluded that though conventional mathematical modeling has been a recognized tool in ergonomic evaluation, a fuzzy model system also generate a very helpful results in, minimizing risk involved in construction tasks and, determining effective means of deploying personnel.

As part of the DOE Integrated Research Infrastructure (IRI) program, NERSC at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and ALCF at Argonne National Lab are working closely with General Atomics on accelerating the computing requirements of the DIII-D experiment. Providing Globus Services to Users of JASMIN for Environmental Data AnalysisGlobus
JASMIN is the UK’s high-performance data analysis platform for environmental science, operated by STFC on behalf of the UK Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). In addition to its role in hosting the CEDA Archive (NERC’s long-term repository for climate, atmospheric science & Earth observation data in the UK), JASMIN provides a collaborative platform to a community of around 2,000 scientists in the UK and beyond, providing nearly 400 environmental science projects with working space, compute resources and tools to facilitate their work. High-performance data transfer into and out of JASMIN has always been a key feature, with many scientists bringing model outputs from supercomputers elsewhere in the UK, to analyse against observational or other model data in the CEDA Archive. A growing number of JASMIN users are now realising the benefits of using the Globus service to provide reliable and efficient data movement and other tasks in this and other contexts. Further use cases involve long-distance (intercontinental) transfers to and from JASMIN, and collecting results from a mobile atmospheric radar system, pushing data to JASMIN via a lightweight Globus deployment. We provide details of how Globus fits into our current infrastructure, our experience of the recent migration to GCSv5.4, and of our interest in developing use of the wider ecosystem of Globus services for the benefit of our user community.
First Steps with Globus Compute Multi-User EndpointsGlobus
In this presentation we will share our experiences around getting started with the Globus Compute multi-user endpoint. Working with the Pharmacology group at the University of Auckland, we have previously written an application using Globus Compute that can offload computationally expensive steps in the researcher's workflows, which they wish to manage from their familiar Windows environments, onto the NeSI (New Zealand eScience Infrastructure) cluster. Some of the challenges we have encountered were that each researcher had to set up and manage their own single-user globus compute endpoint and that the workloads had varying resource requirements (CPUs, memory and wall time) between different runs. We hope that the multi-user endpoint will help to address these challenges and share an update on our progress here.

Introduction
The major cause of casualties in a large earthquake in Japan is
overturned furniture or the scattering of facilities in a room.
Therefore, moving and fastening furniture are effective for casualty
mitigation. However, the executing rate of these countermeasures is
not really very high.
One of the reasons is that residents are not aware of the risk of
human casualty in their rooms. One of the other reasons is that
residents can not fasten furniture because of lease contract or
facilities’ material in their room.
The purpose of this study is to develop a smartphone-
based human casualty risk evaluation and
visualization tool.

Marker-based AR is a technology used to acquire spatial information
from camera images.
Markers are registered in advance.
When a computer recognizes the registered marker by using a

System Development
Unity (Unity Technology) is used to develop our system.
Unity is a tool for video-game development, architectural
visualizations, and interactive media installations.
Usually, the creation of a 3D model and the calculation of the
spatial coordinates are complicated; however, we can do that
easily by using Unity.
In this study, a Desire HD (HTC Corporation), which is an
Android-based smartphone, is used as a prototype system.

Conclusion
This system can display overlapping images of a
real-time movie from an attached camera, the
overturning risk area, and the human casualty
severity.
The system visualizes a virtual image of the in-
room conditions due to an earthquake before it
occurs.
It is expected that users will become aware of
the importance of moving and fastening furniture
and which furniture should be the first priority to
move or fasten by using this system.
