CSAs – Join the Campaign to Create a State Mechanism for Children’s Savings A...NeighborhoodPartnerships
Across the country, the asset building community is abuzz with excitement about Children’s Savings Accounts (CSAs). CSAs provide an opportunity for communities to invest early in the futures of their children by opening a savings account for each child. Evidence is mounting that CSAs are a powerful tool to increase early academic success, success in college and create lifetime savings habits. Oregon communities need a tool like this. Come join our effort to build a legislative campaign in 2017 to increase opportunity for Oregon’s children.

This document discusses Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) and the Oregon IDA Initiative. It begins by explaining what IDAs are, which are matched savings accounts that help low-income individuals save for assets like homeownership, education, or starting a business. It then describes the Oregon IDA Initiative, a state program that has partnered with organizations since 1999 to provide IDAs and financial education. Evaluation findings show graduates of the program have higher savings rates, improved credit scores, and feel more financially secure compared to non-completers. The document concludes by discussing the initiative's impacts and future plans to expand eligible asset purchases.
The free Your Money Your Goals (YMYG) Toolkit designed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) makes it easy and customizable to set client financial goals, choose financial products and build money management skills for social service providers who aren’t experienced with such things. Neighborhood Partnerships is part of a team charged with getting the toolkit in the hands of more Oregonians.
The document summarizes a meeting that discussed the struggles foster youth face transitioning to adulthood. It notes that unlike other youth, foster youth often lack family support networks. The meeting highlighted ways to help foster youth develop support systems and practical resources through community volunteer programs, identifying dependable adults, and clarifying the types of long-term support those adults can provide. The goal is to improve outcomes for foster youth aging out of the system by helping them establish safety nets and a vision for their future.

Create Narrated Slideshows and ScreencastsWesley Fryer
The ability to create narrated slideshows and screencasts and share them online should be a basic skill for digitally literate learners today. In this session we'll explore the reasons why "playing with media" (including narrated slideshows/screencasts) is essential for digital literacy development, and discuss why teachers as well as students should be able to create narrated slideshows specifically to teach, learn, and demonstrate content mastery. We'll view examples of narrated slideshows created by teachers as well as students, and learn about different tools we can use to create and publish these creations online. We'll discuss the "workflow" for students creating narrated slideshows as a class assignment, either at home or in class using a cart of laptop computers, iPads, or the school computer lab.
Blogs are misunderstood by many educators, parents, and administrators as simply personal diaries. This undervaluation is unfortunate. Blogs permit students and teachers to maintain (with relatively few "clicks" and effort) a running record of student learning. Our family learning blog provides a mechanism for our children to "show what they know" with interactive digital stories (using VoiceThread as well as GarageBand-produced podcasts), text posts about books they are reading and topics they are studying, and hyperlinked references to other online resources of interest to them. In this session we will demonstrate and show how a family learning blog can be created to complement assigned homework and in-class assignments at school, and provide a rich digital portfolio of student learning with extends beyond a single school year. Our family learning blog is active on http://learningsigns.speedofcreativity.org.
This document provides instructions for students to create a narrated slideshow presentation summarizing what they have learned, embed it into a blog post, and share it with future colleagues. It outlines steps to create the presentation using PowerPoint or other compatible software, pay attention to aesthetics, record narration, upload to AuthorStream, and embed in a reflective blog post. It also provides contact information for the instructor to ask questions.
A breakout presentation by Wesley Fryer at the 2013 ICE Conference outside Chicago, Illinois. Draw a picture or take a picture, and then record your voice with a website or app which shares your recording with your image. Narrated Art Projects provide excellent opportunities to practice meta-cognition, use nonlinguistic representation to boost student achievement, and improve oral communication skills. In this workshop we’ll view and discuss examples of student-created narrated art, and also create examples together in the session. Websites like AudioBoo and SoundCloud offer cloud-based audio recording and sharing using free smartphone applications as well as browser-based interfaces. Apps like ShowMe and Draw & Tell for iPad can streamline the creation and sharing of narrated art. Learn how narrated art projects can become important elements in students’ digital portfolios.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
