The site is located along Jalan Lengkuk Keluli in Shah Alam, Selangor near an industrial area and residential neighborhood. It is 60m by 70m in size. Surrounding land use includes factories, houses, and condominiums. The proposal is to build a two-story commercial building with two futsal courts on each floor, as well as a cafeteria, equipment shop, locker rooms, and parking area. The building aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle and provide a place for local residents and the public to play futsal.

INTRODUCTION TO THE SITE
The site is located along Jalan Lengkuk Keluli,
Shah Alam in Selangor. The location of this site is
found around an industrial and is also near a
residential area.
The industrial area consists of a number of
factories. The residential area includes houses and
condominiums. The size of site is 60 x 70m and we
will be using 50 X 50m as required.

INTRODUCTION
- Consists of 2 floors which is the ground floor and the first
floor.
- The ground floor consists of two futsal courts, a cafeteria,
and toilets.
- The first floor consists of another two futsal courts, an
equipment shop and a locker room.
- There are a few car parks outside the futsal court for
convenience.

9. AIM
- Built as a means to encourage and also to provide
a place for people to play futsal with the intention to
lead a healthier lifestyle.
TARGET PEOPLE
- For anyone who likes playing futsal or would like to
try a new sport. It can also be for anyone who is
active in general and for the nearby residences.
BENEFITS
- It will be a proper place for people to play futsal .
- Complete and functional equipments for the
residents nearby and also for the public to use.
- Can be a place to hangout with friends.
IMPACTS
- Increasing amount of traffic due to the increasing
number of people that goes to the area to go to the
futsal court.
- Decreasing number of green plants that provide
oxygen.

As can be seen above, the building occupies the most
space. There is also a driveway that leads to the parking
lots found outside the building. there are also some
bushes and green plants found on both sides of the
building.

11. RATIONALE ON BUILDING A
FUTSAL COURT ON THIS
PARTICULAR SITE
Nowadays, a lot of people in this area are
not actively doing sports, due to the fact that
there is no nearby sports related facilities.
Due to this, I have decided to propose a
futsal court. The reason I chose to propose a
futsal court over other sports courts is due to
its size being compatible to the size of the
site. Also, based on observation, futsal is
becoming a popular sport and in conjunction
to this, it is appropriate that a proper futsal
court is built to accommodate the nearby
residence and visitors of the area.
It will also be placed nearby enough to the
residential area for easier access but also far
enough from it as to not cause too much
noise that will disturb the residents.

12. PROFESSIONS INVOLVED
Architect- An architect is responsible for the design.
They are also responsible for the public safety and
overseeing of projects.
Civil Engineer- A civil engineer is to analyse various
factors concerning a construction job. The civil
engineer must also play the construction project that
will be taking place.

13. Quantity Surveyor- A quantity surveyor will be the
one in charge of managing the finances for any kind of
construction project. They are also to work to keep the
project within the budget.
Interior Designer- An interior designer evaluates and
designs interior living and work spaces to make them
functional and more appealing.

14. SITE OBSERVATION
The sun path is from the east to the west
of the site. Also, due to the site being an open
space, it is exposed to the sunlight.
The land on the site is relatively flat, which
makes it a suitable spot to start a construction
project. The flow of traffic around the area is
smooth due to the lack of vehicles on the road
in this area. The wind flow comes from the
north-east of the site.

15. CONCLUSION
After completing this project, I have learnt the
importance of each profession involved in the
construction industry. I have also learnt more on the
roles of these professions and how it plays a part of its
own to make a particular project a success and flow
smoothly. Furthermore, I am able to explain the need
to coordinate and develop an understanding of
coherent working relations among various industry
players and to improve the communication channels.
