Using Insight 360 Cloud to
Gauge Student Understanding
PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL- KENNEWICK, WA
A VOICE FOR ALL
CHALLENGE
Bryan Lawson always keeps an eye out for
new and creative ways to inspire his seventh
graders at Park Middle School in Kennewick,
Washington. As a seasoned educator with
more than ten years of experience, he
understands the classroom challenges
teachers face when it comes to engaging
stud
teacher trying to ask a question and
instruction as he only used a laptop to
create PowerPoint® slides from time to time.
However, that soon changed as he learned
the Kennewick School District would be
making an investment in its students and
teachers.
SOLUTION
Committed to a tradition of excellence in
education, the school district provided the
funds to equip their classrooms with tools
from eInstruction by Turning Technologies.
Bryan had upgraded from a basic laptop to
superior edtech solutions including Insight
360 Cloud assessment platform, a Mobi 360
mobile interactive whiteboard and student
response devices. Hoping to better himself
and his class, Bryan spent a weekend
becoming familiar with the technology. By
Monday morning, he was already using the
devices in class and has not stopped since.
Bryan utilized Insight 360 Cloud to
construct and deliver tailored instruction
that allowed his learners to actively
participate and engage with response
of the technology
the software and that every single student
has the opportunity for a voice and they
to be taught from the front of the class as
Mobi 360 provided the agility to instruct
from anywhere in the room.
CONCLUSION
When asked about if he noticed a change
whole new perspective on teaching and the
opportunity to facilitate students to their
learning as oppose to tell them exactly what
improved greatly as learners were excited
to interact with lessons as well as take
responsibility for their education. The
attention of others as teachers who were
reluctant to try Insight 360 Cloud were
using the software within their classrooms.
In preparation of the new school year, Bryan
worked with his stepfather to build a unique
box set where students could collect their
clickers for the start of class. Moving
forward, Bryan is excited for the unlimited
possibilities of using Insight 360 Cloud for
the school year.
