All of our fellow men are scared of them as they are trying to snatch our liberty and taking away the right of following our traditions and rituals from us. They are thirsty of exercising their illegitimate powers. I am still thinking what if these are all the signs from the Gods and we are being tested. At the same time, I know that they are taking our advantage. I am totally confused. I will do anything to protect our empire but I am scared.

Dear Diary,
Today was quite a weird day. The morning was not strange for me though as I woke up
and had my usual breakfast. After that, I went to the temple to join the sacrifice that we
frequently have. Everybody was carrying out their daily routine activities when all of a sudden,
we came to know about the great Gods that just entered our empire. They came from the
direction of the sunrise with flashes of lighting and thunder and we thought that the lords have
arrived (Díaz del Castillo & Carrasco, 2008). The seemed indestructible and strong. As a warrior
who has witnessed many attacks and wars, I have never seen anything like this ever. They had
enormous white wings that floated on the sea. Everybody looked appalled and we tried to fight
with them. So we were ordered to throw spears at them but just as we thought, they didn’t die.
We, despite being strong felt weak enough today as we didn’t succeed in defeating them. The
reason they attacked us is that they considered our rituals abnormal and brutal. They are crazy as
they clearly misjudged us. They think our sacrifices are illogical and we should stop them right
away (Tucker, 2016). How dare they call our sacrifices odd? This is something that we gift to
God. How can we not thank the one who provides us with numerous blessings?! Nobody has the
right to tell us that our religion is wrong and they are the right ones as they themselves were
wearing clothes that they make by killing animals (profile, 2016). I think that’s the part of their
Spanish civilization. How is that justified? They are trying to force us to switch our religion to
Christianity (Hassig, 2006). I fear the day when they will start assassinating our fellow men
when we will not follow their orders as I have already witnessed their brutality. They are trying
to take advantage of their strong position. The warriors are equipped with more dangerous
weapons as compared to ours. They had weapons that we don’t even know the names of. One of
the weapons they had was so terrific that it could pierce the armors (Restall, 2003). The Spanish
were sheathed from head to toe with a metal shell (profile, 2016).
