Running is an activity that the applicant enjoys and believes contributes to personal and professional development. It started as a way to stay fit and lose weight, but the applicant soon enjoyed it for its own sake. Running provides health, stress relief, energy, confidence, and a connection to nature. It also challenges the applicant physically and provides satisfaction. Running improves cognitive abilities, teaches patience, discipline, and persistence. It allows the applicant to focus and think creatively. Running also enables meeting new people and learning that hard work can be rewarding. 4. How did it start?
I started to run in December, 2013. The first reason was
to stay fit and to loose some weight. However, after
one month I started enjoying running itself.

Researchers led by Dr. Bruce Spiegelman at Dana-
Farber and Harvard Medical School have found that
a specific molecule called FNDC5 released during
endurance exercise improves cognition and protects
the brain against degeneration(Cell Press journal Cell
Metabolism, October, 2013)

8. Running teaches me
patience and discipline
Since I set the days and time for Running, it develops
my discipline. Besides, Running shows me that the
results of the training do not appear quicky. Moreover,
you should slowly increase the amount of time you
run, if you do not want to be injured. Thus, I run day
after day knowing that eventually, over time, I will
achieve bigger goals, and I just have to be patient.

persistent
Every training increases my stamina and shows me
that no matter how hard is to run or how much I am
tired, I should not give up. If I set the goal, I shoud
reach it. There is no other way!
Running inspires me to achieve new aims and teaches
me to never give up on my dreams.

While I am running I usually stay alone with my thouhts
and nothing disturbs me. Thus, Running helps me to
stay focused and to find creative solutions to my
problems. Sometimes I even create some ideas about
my future business projects.

I am a member of different groups and communities
connected with running. In these communities I can
meet people who share my passion for running and
ask for advice or share the experience.

Life is a long-term distance. If you want to succeed,
