Fluence Announces Investment (USA) from Qatar Investment Authority to Accelerate
Growth and Global Deployment of Grid-Scale Energy Storage Technology
Fluence, the leading global energy storage solutions provider, announced that it has entered into a definitive
agreement with the Qatar Investment Authority pursuant to which QIA will commit to invest $125 million
in Fluence through a private placement transaction. Consummation of the transaction is subject to the
satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including regulatory clearances. QIA's investment brings
another strong financial partner to The AES Corporation and Siemens joint venture, further supporting
Fluence's mission to transform the way we power our world for a more sustainable future. Fluence intends
to use the net proceeds from the private placement to further accelerate development of its product
offerings, particularly digital products, and deployment of existing products in more markets globally. AES
and Siemens will remain major shareholders, each maintaining an approximately 44 percent stake
following the completion of the transaction and will continue to support Fluence's long-term growth. QIA
is one of six founding members of the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Fund Initiative, which is building
climate change into financial decision making, and the proposed investment further highlights QIA's
growing focus on the development of green technologies. Fluence's mission and technology-driven offering
aligns with QIA's investment philosophy and QIA's other recent green technology investments. With
countries around the world setting increasingly ambitious targets to cut carbon emissions, Fluence is
helping accelerate the adoption of renewables and is allowing utilities and power producers to incorporate
renewables at scale. Its innovative technologies provide storage solutions for energy produced by wind
farms and other renewable sources – a critical factor in the move towards a low-carbon economy.
Executive Commentary
"We believe the global problem of climate change can only be tackled by leveraging the combined
capabilities of technologists and investors from around the world," said Fluence's Chief Executive
Officer. "We see energy storage as the linchpin of a decarbonized grid and adding QIA to our
international shareholder base will allow Fluence to innovate even faster and address the enormous
global market for large-scale battery-based energy storage."

Ameren (USA) Missouri takes largest step yet toward net-zero carbon goal with
acquisition of its first wind energy center in northeast Missouri
Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation, has closed on the acquisition of the
company's first wind energy center, a 400-megawatt (MW) project in northeast Missouri.
The purchase of the High Prairie Renewable Energy Center in Adair and Schuyler counties
is the first of two planned investments in Missouri-based wind generation, which will add
700 MW of clean energy to the grid. The High Prairie Renewable Energy Center is the first
of many renewable energy additions anticipated by Ameren Missouri. The company recently
released plans to invest approximately $4.5 billion in 3,100 MW of renewable generation by
2030. This includes $1.2 billion for the planned acquisitions of this energy center and a 300
MW energy center in Atchison County, Missouri. The wind facility was constructed by an
affiliate of Terra-Gen LLC. The energy center consists of 175 wind turbines that are among
the most technologically advanced in the state. Ameren Missouri anticipates the energy
center will produce enough energy to power the equivalent of 120,000 homes in 2021.
Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and
the company's electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission
is to power the quality of life for its 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in
central and eastern Missouri. The company's service area covers 64 counties and more than
500 communities, including the greater St. Louis area.
Executive Commentary
"This is just the beginning, as Ameren Missouri lays the foundation for a
transformational advancement toward more renewable wind and solar generation in the
coming years, cutting carbon emissions and driving job creation and economic growth,"
said chairman and president of Ameren Missouri. "Ameren Missouri is committed to
clean. Expanding Missouri-based wind energy generation helps us move toward our goal
of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050."

UGI (USA) to Acquire Mountaineer Gas Company
UGI Corporation (NYSE: UGI) announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Mountaintop
Energy Holdings LLC, owner of Mountaineer Gas Company (“Mountaineer”), the largest gas local distribution
company in West Virginia for an enterprise value of $540 million, which includes the assumption of
approximately $140 million of debt.
• Highly strategic and complementary investment in a single-state utility adjacent to UGI’s existing utility
footprint.
• Enterprise value represents approximately 1.4 times projected 2021 rate base.
• The acquisition will increase UGI’s regulated utility rate base and customers served by nearly 14% and 30%,
respectively, and is consistent with its strategy to focus growth investments on natural gas and renewable energy
solutions opportunities.
• Accretive to adjusted earnings per share (“EPS”) in first full year of operations.
• Supports all financial targets and commitments including long-term 6% - 10% EPS growth and 4% annual
dividend growth.
• Mountaineer offers a secure platform for growth with predictable, regulated investment opportunities over
the next several decades to improve the safety and reliability of the distribution system, serve new customers on
the system, decrease methane and greenhouse gas emissions (“GHG”), and build on a long history of providing
excellent customer service.
Mountaineer serves nearly 215,000 customers across 50 of the state’s 55 counties. The customer base is
approximately 90% residential, with the remaining 10% comprised of commercial and industrial customers.
Mountaineer is fully regulated, and its system has nearly 6,000 miles of distribution, transmission, and gathering
pipelines.
Executive Commentary
“We are very pleased to announce this important transaction and expand our core utility operations in the
mid-Atlantic region,” said President and Chief Executive Officer of UGI. “The transaction is immediately
accretive to adjusted EPS and provides us with an opportunity to support our customers in West Virginia
with a long-term commitment to ensure safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible natural
gas services. Our existing Utilities business has shown the value of this long-term commitment to system
enhancement and we expect to make a similar commitment in West Virginia. We see significant investment
opportunities to continue, if not accelerate, the replacement of over 1,500 miles of bare steel pipelines and
expand the reach of natural gas in West Virginia to both unserved and underserved areas. These investments
will improve the safety and reliability of the distribution system and align with our environmental efforts to
lower methane and other GHG emissions. We expect Mountaineer’s rate base to grow by a compound
annual growth rate of approximately 10% - 12% over the long term.”

Cranking Up the Savings Through Energy Efficiency (USA)
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
7
Solution Description
While winter weather is in the forecast for parts of southeast Texas, it doesn’t have to add a chill to your bill. Instead of cranking up the thermostat during the cold weather months,
take some free or low-cost steps to make your home more energy-efficient to help save money on your utility bill. With many customers still working or taking on other activities from
home due to the pandemic, managing and conserving your energy usage is more important than ever. Remember, heating and air conditioning can account for more than 50% of a
home’s energy usage. Setting the thermostat to 68 degrees during the winter months is an easy way to reduce your energy usage. Every degree above 68 degrees can increase your bill
by about 3%. So, if you crank it up to 78 degrees, for example, you could add 30% to your bill.
Adjusting the thermostat is not the only way you can help keep your heater or other appliances from going into overdrive; you also can:
• Seal air leaks. Install weather stripping around your doors, windows and any location where there may be a path between the inside and outside of your home or business.
• Conserve hot water. Wrap your electric water heater with a water heater blanket that can be found at local home improvement stores and set the thermostat to 120 degrees or
medium.
• Keep all doors and windows closed. Constantly opening doors and windows will let out the warm air, forcing your heater to work harder to keep the room at the set temperature.
• Ensure fans are turning the right way. Fans should be run at a low speed clockwise during the winter. This helps keep the cold air from blowing down on you.
• Keep the air circulating. Do not block heat registers or air returns with curtains or furniture.
• Leverage the sun. During the day, open your curtains and blinds to let in the warm sunlight. Close them at night to reduce heat loss.
• Check out energy-efficiency programs. Visit the Entergy Texas Entergy Solutions page for energy-saving solutions and energy-efficient products.

Solution Description
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) is progressing plans for a battery at Eraring Power Station in NSW, with an overall capacity
of up to 700 MW and a dispatch duration of 4 hours, making it the largest battery project currently under consideration in
Australia. Origin has issued an Expression of Interest to suitably qualified firms to supply and install the large-scale battery.
A Connection Enquiry has also been lodged with NSW transmission network service provider TransGrid to connect the
battery to the national grid via the Eraring substation. Origin Executive General Manager, Energy Supply and Operations,
Greg Jarvis, said deploying a battery at Eraring supports Origin’s decarbonisation objectives and recent NSW energy policy
announcements. Following selection of a preferred supplier, achievement of the required permitting, and establishment of the
network connection, as well as Origin Board approval, the operational capacity of the battery is expected to be deployed over
three phases, with the first phase expected to be reached by late 2022. Eraring is Australia’s largest power station, supplying
around a quarter of NSW’s energy needs and is Origin’s only coal-fired generator.

KIUC and AES (USA) to Join Forces on Solar Pumped Storage Hydro Project
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
17
Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative signed agreements with The AES Corporation for the development, construction, and operation of the
cooperative’s solar pumped storage hydro project, also known as the West Kaua‘i Energy Project. A power purchase agreement was also executed
and filed with the Hawai‘i Public Utilities Commission, WKEP is an integrated renewable energy and irrigation project with several key
components: renewable energy production via hydropower and solar photovoltaic generation, coupled with pumped hydropower and battery
energy storage to shift most of the project’s output into the nighttime peak. This project will offset the use of 8.5 million gallons of fossil fuels
annually and supply irrigation water delivery to support diversified agriculture on state-owned lands. The project will also rehabilitate the existing
Pu‘u ‘Ōpae, Pu‘u Lua, and Mānā Reservoirs and the related ditch system infrastructure. In addition, historic diversion structures in Kokeʻe will be
modified to restore and increase flow to the Waimea River in compliance with the instream flow standard established by the Waimea Watershed
Agreement and adopted by the Commission, The project is expected to meet roughly 25% of Kaua‘i’s electricity needs, and will also support the
grid with long-duration storage capability. The pumped hydropower will provide twelve hours of storage daily, compared to the conventional four-
or five-hour storage from existing solarbattery facilities. This long-duration storage capacity will allow the island to run on 100% renewable energy
for prolonged periods without sunlight and will provide additional grid stability by balancing intermittent solar with firm hydropower.

Iberdrola (Spain) and Mapfre join forces: the insurance group's sales network
will offer energy products
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
18
Iberdrola and Mapfre have reached an agreement whereby the insurance company's sales network in Spain, which consists of nearly 3,000 offices, will offer customised
products that are 100 % renewable from the energy company. This is the first alliance of this type between an insurance company and an energy company in the country. The
products initially included in the agreement are electricity and gas plans for private individuals and SMEs (Tailor Made Plans), and value-added services such as Home
Electrical Protection and the Gas Maintenance Pack, although this could be extended in the future to other solutions. The agreement, which was signed by Raúl Costilla, General
Sales and Business Director of MAPFRE IBERIA, and Alfonso Calderón, Iberdrola's Retail Director for Spain, also provides for Iberdrola to make support channels and
preferential attention available to MAPFRE, both for the insurance company's customers and for its commercial agents, in order to resolve doubts or incidents during the
contracting process or afterwards. MAPFRE's network will also be able to prescribe Iberdrola's self-consumption and sustainable mobility solutions, such as Smart Solar and
Smart Mobility, respectively. With the signing of this agreement, the collaboration between the two companies extends beyond the ties that linked them until now: Iberdrola as
MAPFRE's energy supplier in Spain and customer of its corporate insurance programme. In addition, MULTIMAP, a company of the MAPFRE Group, provides the boiler
repair and maintenance services that Iberdrola offers its customers. The agreement, with an initial duration of three years, is in principle subscribed to at national level, but
neither company rules out extending it to other markets where both groups operate. For Iberdrola, the agreement reinforces the company's retail strategy through a
market-leading partner, and diversifies its marketing channels for high value-added products, such as the Tailor Made Plans, with which customers personalise their services
based on their consumption habits and are supplied with 100 % renewable energy, helping to prevent CO2 emissions into the atmosphere; and maintenance services on a
preferential basis. As well as prescribing new solutions aligned with responsible consumption, related to self-consumption and sustainable mobility with green energy.

Naturgy,(Spain) Vodafone and the start-up FuVeX join forces to review electrical
installations with long-range drones controlled by the mobile network
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
19
Vodafone, Naturgy and FuVeX announced they have partnered to r evolve review wirings using drones controlled by the mobile network beyond
the line of sight to make the first such pilot flight. This is possible thanks to the fact that the State Agency for Aviation Safety (AESA) has granted
the first authorization for drone flights beyond the line of sight on power lines at the national level and the collaboration of ENAIRE, a public
business entity attached to the Ministry of Development. However, this authorization still has operational limitations and for this reason the three
companies are working within the framework of the European project RIMA (Robotics for Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance) to promote
the European industry of long-range drones. In this way, the revision of the thousands of kilometers of Naturgy power lines may be replaced in the
near future by drones controlled remotely from the Naturgy offices. Vodafone, Naturgy and FuVeX have committed to operating the first
long-range drone flights next year, to begin the inspection of all Naturgy's power lines. This project places the Spanish industry at the forefront of
Europe in the control of drones via mobile network to monitor the status of power lines remotely and safely far beyond the current limitation of
500 meters. To fly in a safe and controlled way, it is necessary to have robust communication systems such as 4G and 5G, and technologies such
as RPS (Radio Positioning System) that allow the drone to be positioned and controlled at all times. RPS technology allows a very precise
estimation of the drone's position through its SIM card, providing an alternative source to the traditional one based on GPS coordinates.

NRG Energy(USA) Savings Topped List in State of Distributed Energy
Resources Study
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
20
Energy cost savings topped the list for customer needs when considering distributed energy resources in a recent study by
NRG Energy, Inc. in collaboration with Smart Energy Decisions. The goal of the State of Distributed Energy Resources Study
was to better understand DER energy trends with the nation’s largest electric power users. In the study, nearly 87 percent said
cost savings was an important factor when asked what the key driver was for considering DERs. Other significant drivers
included environmental and sustainability matters. Achieving renewable energy and sustainability targets were also some of
the other top influences for developing long term distributed energy plans. Meeting emission reduction goals increased 17
percent from 2019 to 2020 as a driver of deploying DERs. To meet corporate sustainability goals, customers deploy renewable
energy resources in their micro-grid. This leads to freedom to access energy on their terms at a cost-efficient rate and when
they need it. The study interviewed more than 100 large electric power users regarding their energy plans and how DERs fit
into their overall strategy.

Origin Energy Limited (Origin) has announced a farm-in with Buru Energy (Buru) for seven permits covering 20,000km2 in Western Australia’s prospective Canning Basin. Under
the agreements, Origin secures a 50 per cent equity share in five permits with Buru Energy, and a 40 per cent equity share in two permits with Buru and Rey Resources (Rey) in
exchange for carrying $12.3 million of their share of work program costs. The total estimated spend by Origin over a two-year period is expected to be approximately $35 million
inclusive of a two-well drilling program and seismic work. Origin also has contingent options to carry an additional $10.6 million of Buru and Rey’s costs over a four-year period.
Origin has the option to assume operatorship for any significant gas development, as well as any carbon capture and storage development. Origin Executive General Manager
Integrated Gas, Mark Schubert said, “We are excited by this opportunity to take an interest in one of Australia’s material onshore exploration and production basins, at an attractive
entry cost where significant work has already been undertaken, giving it a short timeline to value. Origin will now hold positions in three large prospective onshore basins – the
Beetaloo, Canning, and Cooper-Eromanga – giving us exposure to conventional and unconventional gas plays and what we believe are the most prospective shale formations in
Australia. Our interest in these seven permits lies in the strength of the gas resources following extensive analysis of the basin, and the longer-term potential for carbon capture and

For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
22
Tenaris, Edison and Snam have signed a letter of intent to launch a project aimed at decarbonizing Tenaris's seamless pipe mill in Dalmine through
the introduction of green hydrogen in some production processes. Tenaris, Edison and Snam will collaborate to identify and implement the most
suitable solutions for the production, distribution and use of green hydrogen at the Tenaris mill, contributing their skills to invest in the best
available technologies. The project looks to generate hydrogen and oxygen through an approximate 20 MW electrolyzer that will be installed at
the Dalmine plant and to adapt the steelmaking process to use green hydrogen instead of natural gas. The initiative may also include the
construction of a storage site for the accumulation of high-pressure hydrogen and the use of oxygen, locally produced through electrolysis, within
the melting process. The development of the project would significantly reduce CO 2 emissions related to electric arc furnace steel. After the initial
test, the three companies will evaluate whether to expand the collaboration to other stages of the production process therefore extending the use of
hydrogen. The project is part of the broader "Dalmine Zero Emissions" initiative, launched by Tenaris together with Tenova and Techint
Engineering & Construction, to integrate green hydrogen in steelmaking from the electric arc furnace steel and in the downstream processing of
the Dalmine mill. This would be the first application of green hydrogen on an industrial scale in Italy's steel sector.

Iberdrola has obtained a positive Environmental Impact Statement for the photovoltaic plant in Puertollano which will supply energy to the first and also the largest green
hydrogen production plant to be launched for industrial use in Europe. The renewables project, with 100 MW of installed capacity, brings together several innovative
elements, both from a technological point of view and in terms of storage capacity:
• The installation will have bifacial panels which have never been used before in company projects and which allow for greater production since they have two
light-sensitive surfaces, meaning that the installation will have a longer useful life;
• The plant has been designed with cluster or “string” inverters, which improve the yield and allow better use of the surface area;
• The project will have a storage system, which will facilitate plant management. The battery system (with a power of 5 MW) will have a storage capacity of 20 MWh.
• With a total investment of 150 million EUR, including the photovoltaic plant, the storage system and a 20 MW electrolyser, the project will create 700 jobs.
The project is planned to come into operation in 2021 and, once this happens, it will prevent the emission of 39,000 tCO2/year and the clean energy generated will be
used to produce green hydrogen for the Fertiberia group's plant in the town, thereby making it the first European company in its sector to be able to produce green
fertilisers. The Puertollano green hydrogen plant project will be the first in an ambitious initiative, developed within the framework of the alliance between Iberdrola and
Fertiberia to place Spain at the forefront of green hydrogen in Europe, with the installation of 800 MW of electrolysis by 2027 and a total investment of 1.8 billion euros.
During its construction, the complete project could promote the generation of 4,000 jobs through 500 local suppliers.

Amid one of the greatest periods of need in U.S. history, PSEG and the PSEG Foundation announced Monday that they
are donating $1.5 million to nonprofits in New Jersey and Long Island that support those hit the hardest by the
pandemic. The impromptu holiday donations will help 14 nonprofits provide services addressing hunger,
unemployment, mental health and health care needs and general poverty. Organizations addressing domestic violence,
substance abuse and child neglect are also included as recipients. The latest donating brings PSEG and PSEG
Foundation to the $5 million charitable donation mark contributed since the onset of the pandemic. The $1.5 million
donation is bolstered by another $2.5 million commitment to pandemic relief organizations in April and a $1 million
Powering Equity and Social justice Initiative in June. Newark Working Kitchens which provides meals to at-risk
Newark residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the recipients.

Southern California Gas Co. announced that the City of Compton, the City of Anaheim and the City of Palmdale have been selected as recipients of the utility's
2020 Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Planning Grant program. Each of the three local governments will receive a $50,000 grant to support local planning efforts
to help prepare for and recover from climate change risks such as extreme heat, wildfires, drought, subsidence, sea level rise, flooding and mudslides. The Climate
Adaptation and Resiliency Planning Grant Program is a shareholder-funded initiative that has awarded $400,000 over the past three years. An advisory panel of
planning and sustainability experts from the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability (LARC) and the American Planning
Association-California Chapter (APA-California) reviewed the project submissions and selected the recipients. The City of Palmdale plans to use this grant to
update the City's FEMA-approved Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) with a specific focus on climate risks. These funds will allow for the City of Compton
to update the safety element of its General Plan and LHMP to address current and projected climate change impacts. These changes will be reflective of the issues
the population of Compton currently faces such as extreme heat and high levels of pollution. The City of Anaheim is committed to using this grant to address
climate resiliency in a way that supports forecasted economic and population growth while recognizing the differing properties of its diverse community. Their
Climate Action Plan focuses on three challenges that the community is currently facing: wildfire, drought and extreme heat. Recipients were judged based on their
proposal's emphasis on addressing vulnerabilities in disadvantaged communities; collaboration among various agencies; and benefits beyond resiliency, such as
public health, air quality, reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, and the economy.

Yangtze Power will increase its horsepower to withstand the cold and protect electricity, the power supply shortage caused by the new round of cold wave, the Yangtze River
Power Three Gorges, Gezhouba, Xiluodu, and Xiangjiaba cascade power stations added 21 units with a daily power supply of 590 million kilowatt-hours, and enough
horsepower to receive power The regional stability is escorted in winter. At 6 o'clock on January 5, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a blue cold wave warning,
and the temperature in the central and eastern regions will generally drop by 6°C to 8°C. After the “crushing” of the previous round of cold waves, the “base temperature” in
many places was lower. After this round of cooling is superimposed, the lowest temperature will be the lowest since this winter. Affected by this, the demand for electricity in
the power receiving areas of the cascade power stations of Yangtze Power continues to increase, and there is a large power supply gap. In order to maximize the peak power
generation capacity of cascade power stations, Yangtze Power actively cooperated with grid dispatching requirements, optimized and adjusted the operation mode of cascade
power stations, temporarily suspended the construction of the stilling basin downstream of Xiangjiaba, postponed the original scheduled unit maintenance plan of Gezhouba,
and went all out to withstand the cold and protect electricity . On January 7, 64 cascade power stations were operating at peak peak, 21 more than before the cold wave (January
4); peak output reached 33.76 million kilowatts, an increase of 13.52 million kilowatts from the previous period; peak shaving capacity reached 16.29 million kilowatts,
compared with An increase of 9.13 million kilowatts in the early stage; an average daily output of 24.63 million kilowatts, and a daily power supply of nearly 600 million
kilowatt-hours. The peak output, peak shaving and daily power generation all hit historical highs in the same period. In the future, Yangtze Power will closely follow the changes
in power supply and demand, rationally arrange the elimination of equipment shortages, optimize unit operation methods, increase equipment inspections, and actively leverage
the advantages of multi-database coordination and coordination peaks, and go all out to ensure the warmth of the people during the winter. .

Dominion Energy (China) Files Construction and Operations Plan for Coastal
Virginia Offshore Wind Project
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Dominion Energy announced the company has filed with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management the required Construction and Operations Plan to build the
2,640-megawatt Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind commercial project, the largest planned offshore wind farm in the United States. The COP includes information
about the construction, operations and conceptual decommissioning plans for Dominion Energy's proposed offshore wind farm to be installed within a
112,800-acre Commercial Lease Area located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, which Dominion Energy obtained in 2013. Information about onshore and
support facilities is included in the COP as well. Through this filing, Dominion Energy shows, among other things, it designed and sited the CVOW commercial
project in a manner that protects natural resources, the environment and human and wildlife health; uses the best available and safest technology; and does not
unreasonably interfere with other uses of the Outer Continental Shelf, such as commercial and recreational fishing, commercial shipping lanes and military training
maneuvers. Data based on the results of the many surveys of the lease area – geophysical, geotechnical, biological, cultural, socioeconomic – are also included in
the filing for BOEM's review, which will take approximately two years to complete. Offshore wind generation is a major component of Dominion Energy's
comprehensive clean energy strategy to meet standards mandated in the Virginia Clean Economy Act and to achieve the company's net zero carbon dioxide and
methane emissions commitment by 2050. The company earlier this year completed the construction of CVOW's first phase – the two turbine, 12-megawatt pilot
project, which is located adjacent to the Commercial Lease Area. The two turbines are operational while the project undergoes BOEM's technical review before
officially entering service.

Southern Company has published a Sustainable Financing Framework ("Framework"), making it the first large cap utility holding company
in the United States to do so. The Framework, published on January 4, 2021, allows the Southern Company and its subsidiaries to issue
sustainable financing instruments and allocate the net proceeds to investments in eligible green and social project categories. These include
projects related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, access to essential services (such as education and telecommunications), and
employment advancement and development opportunities. The Framework aligns with Southern Company's sustainability goals and its
transition to a net zero-future. Southern Company was one of the first U.S. utilities to set bold, industry-leading goals to reduce greenhouse
gas emissions from its system and has set a goal of net zero emissions by 2050. Dedicated to being "a citizen wherever we serve," the
Framework also aligns with Southern Company's social initiatives. Eligible social projects under the Framework include the procurement of
products and services from diverse suppliers, education assistance for minority populations, as well as economic advancement and
development opportunities for underserved employees, communities and students. The inaugural bond under the Framework, a $400 million
green bond, was issued on January 8, 2021 by Southern Power Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Southern Company.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Fluence Announces Investment (USA) from Qatar Investment Authority to Accelerate Growth and Global Deployment of Grid-Scale Energy Storage Technology Fluence, the leading global energy storage solutions provider, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with the Qatar Investment Authority pursuant to which QIA will commit to invest $125 million in Fluence through a private placement transaction. Consummation of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including regulatory clearances. QIA's investment brings another strong financial partner to The AES Corporation and Siemens joint venture, further supporting Fluence's mission to transform the way we power our world for a more sustainable future. Fluence intends to use the net proceeds from the private placement to further accelerate development of its product offerings, particularly digital products, and deployment of existing products in more markets globally. AES and Siemens will remain major shareholders, each maintaining an approximately 44 percent stake following the completion of the transaction and will continue to support Fluence's long-term growth. QIA is one of six founding members of the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Fund Initiative, which is building climate change into financial decision making, and the proposed investment further highlights QIA's growing focus on the development of green technologies. Fluence's mission and technology-driven offering aligns with QIA's investment philosophy and QIA's other recent green technology investments. With countries around the world setting increasingly ambitious targets to cut carbon emissions, Fluence is helping accelerate the adoption of renewables and is allowing utilities and power producers to incorporate renewables at scale. Its innovative technologies provide storage solutions for energy produced by wind farms and other renewable sources – a critical factor in the move towards a low-carbon economy. Executive Commentary "We believe the global problem of climate change can only be tackled by leveraging the combined capabilities of technologists and investors from around the world," said Fluence's Chief Executive Officer. "We see energy storage as the linchpin of a decarbonized grid and adding QIA to our international shareholder base will allow Fluence to innovate even faster and address the enormous global market for large-scale battery-based energy storage." • 7. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Ameren (USA) Missouri takes largest step yet toward net-zero carbon goal with acquisition of its first wind energy center in northeast Missouri Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation, has closed on the acquisition of the company's first wind energy center, a 400-megawatt (MW) project in northeast Missouri. The purchase of the High Prairie Renewable Energy Center in Adair and Schuyler counties is the first of two planned investments in Missouri-based wind generation, which will add 700 MW of clean energy to the grid. The High Prairie Renewable Energy Center is the first of many renewable energy additions anticipated by Ameren Missouri. The company recently released plans to invest approximately $4.5 billion in 3,100 MW of renewable generation by 2030. This includes $1.2 billion for the planned acquisitions of this energy center and a 300 MW energy center in Atchison County, Missouri. The wind facility was constructed by an affiliate of Terra-Gen LLC. The energy center consists of 175 wind turbines that are among the most technologically advanced in the state. Ameren Missouri anticipates the energy center will produce enough energy to power the equivalent of 120,000 homes in 2021. Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and the company's electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for its 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. The company's service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities, including the greater St. Louis area. Executive Commentary "This is just the beginning, as Ameren Missouri lays the foundation for a transformational advancement toward more renewable wind and solar generation in the coming years, cutting carbon emissions and driving job creation and economic growth," said chairman and president of Ameren Missouri. "Ameren Missouri is committed to clean. Expanding Missouri-based wind energy generation helps us move toward our goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050." Mountaineer serves nearly 215,000 customers across 50 of the state’s 55 counties. The customer base is approximately 90% residential, with the remaining 10% comprised of commercial and industrial customers. Mountaineer is fully regulated, and its system has nearly 6,000 miles of distribution, transmission, and gathering pipelines. Executive Commentary “We are very pleased to announce this important transaction and expand our core utility operations in the mid-Atlantic region,” said President and Chief Executive Officer of UGI. “The transaction is immediately accretive to adjusted EPS and provides us with an opportunity to support our customers in West Virginia with a long-term commitment to ensure safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible natural gas services. Our existing Utilities business has shown the value of this long-term commitment to system enhancement and we expect to make a similar commitment in West Virginia. We see significant investment opportunities to continue, if not accelerate, the replacement of over 1,500 miles of bare steel pipelines and expand the reach of natural gas in West Virginia to both unserved and underserved areas. These investments will improve the safety and reliability of the distribution system and align with our environmental efforts to lower methane and other GHG emissions. We expect Mountaineer’s rate base to grow by a compound annual growth rate of approximately 10% - 12% over the long term.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 6 Key Financial Highlights

  • 13. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nib Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Cranking Up the Savings Through Energy Efficiency (USA) For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 7 Solution Description While winter weather is in the forecast for parts of southeast Texas, it doesn’t have to add a chill to your bill. Instead of cranking up the thermostat during the cold weather months, take some free or low-cost steps to make your home more energy-efficient to help save money on your utility bill. With many customers still working or taking on other activities from home due to the pandemic, managing and conserving your energy usage is more important than ever. Remember, heating and air conditioning can account for more than 50% of a home’s energy usage. Setting the thermostat to 68 degrees during the winter months is an easy way to reduce your energy usage. Every degree above 68 degrees can increase your bill by about 3%. So, if you crank it up to 78 degrees, for example, you could add 30% to your bill. Adjusting the thermostat is not the only way you can help keep your heater or other appliances from going into overdrive; you also can: • Seal air leaks. Install weather stripping around your doors, windows and any location where there may be a path between the inside and outside of your home or business. • Conserve hot water. Wrap your electric water heater with a water heater blanket that can be found at local home improvement stores and set the thermostat to 120 degrees or medium.

Partner Ecosystem Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Iberdrola (Spain) and Mapfre join forces: the insurance group's sales network will offer energy products For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 18 Iberdrola and Mapfre have reached an agreement whereby the insurance company's sales network in Spain, which consists of nearly 3,000 offices, will offer customised products that are 100 % renewable from the energy company. This is the first alliance of this type between an insurance company and an energy company in the country. The products initially included in the agreement are electricity and gas plans for private individuals and SMEs (Tailor Made Plans), and value-added services such as Home Electrical Protection and the Gas Maintenance Pack, although this could be extended in the future to other solutions. The agreement, which was signed by Raúl Costilla, General Sales and Business Director of MAPFRE IBERIA, and Alfonso Calderón, Iberdrola's Retail Director for Spain, also provides for Iberdrola to make support channels and preferential attention available to MAPFRE, both for the insurance company's customers and for its commercial agents, in order to resolve doubts or incidents during the contracting process or afterwards. MAPFRE's network will also be able to prescribe Iberdrola's self-consumption and sustainable mobility solutions, such as Smart Solar and Smart Mobility, respectively. With the signing of this agreement, the collaboration between the two companies extends beyond the ties that linked them until now: Iberdrola as MAPFRE's energy supplier in Spain and customer of its corporate insurance programme. In addition, MULTIMAP, a company of the MAPFRE Group, provides the boiler repair and maintenance services that Iberdrola offers its customers. The agreement, with an initial duration of three years, is in principle subscribed to at national level, but neither company rules out extending it to other markets where both groups operate. For Iberdrola, the agreement reinforces the company's retail strategy through a market-leading partner, and diversifies its marketing channels for high value-added products, such as the Tailor Made Plans, with which customers personalise their services based on their consumption habits and are supplied with 100 % renewable energy, helping to prevent CO2 emissions into the atmosphere; and maintenance services on a preferential basis. As well as prescribing new solutions aligned with responsible consumption, related to self-consumption and sustainable mobility with green energy. Description
  • 28. Partner Ecosystem Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Naturgy,(Spain) Vodafone and the start-up FuVeX join forces to review electrical installations with long-range drones controlled by the mobile network For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 19 Vodafone, Naturgy and FuVeX announced they have partnered to r evolve review wirings using drones controlled by the mobile network beyond the line of sight to make the first such pilot flight. This is possible thanks to the fact that the State Agency for Aviation Safety (AESA) has granted the first authorization for drone flights beyond the line of sight on power lines at the national level and the collaboration of ENAIRE, a public business entity attached to the Ministry of Development. However, this authorization still has operational limitations and for this reason the three companies are working within the framework of the European project RIMA (Robotics for Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance) to promote the European industry of long-range drones. In this way, the revision of the thousands of kilometers of Naturgy power lines may be replaced in the near future by drones controlled remotely from the Naturgy offices. Vodafone, Naturgy and FuVeX have committed to operating the first long-range drone flights next year, to begin the inspection of all Naturgy's power lines. This project places the Spanish industry at the forefront of Europe in the control of drones via mobile network to monitor the status of power lines remotely and safely far beyond the current limitation of 500 meters. To fly in a safe and controlled way, it is necessary to have robust communication systems such as 4G and 5G, and technologies such as RPS (Radio Positioning System) that allow the drone to be positioned and controlled at all times. RPS technology allows a very precise estimation of the drone's position through its SIM card, providing an alternative source to the traditional one based on GPS coordinates. Description

The plan, called H2iseO, will make it possible to create the first Italian "Hydrogen Valley" in Lombardy, particularly in Sebino and Valcamonica, equipping it with a fleet of hydrogen trains and related infrastructure, starting from 2023. FNM, A2A and Snam, each based on their own skills, will collaborate in the creation of a production and refuelling system for the new clean energy trains, which will be purchased by FNM and entrusted to Trenord and which will replace the current diesel-powered trains on the railway line managed by FERROVIENORD (a 100% FNM company). Subsequently, by 2025, the hydrogen solution will also be extended to local public transport, which counts about 40 vehicles managed in Valcamonica by FNMAutoservizi (a 100% FNM company), with the possibility of also opening up to freight logistics. The conversion of the railway section to hydrogen represents a first step towards the decarbonisation of the entire local public transport system in the valley, offering opportunities also for private mobility, thanks to the versatility of the filling stations.
