HVOT tubing is used to protect cables or substrates in extreme environments and under high electrical stress. It protects against erosion from leakage current and provides a moisture proof seal. The tubing is normally used as part of Raychem cable terminations for voltages over 1 kV. HVOT tubing comes in standard sizes ranging from 32/10 mm to 82/29 mm and is made of materials that meet certain product specifications for use in harsh conditions.

Typical Application
HVOT tubing is used to protect cables or similar substrates in areas of extreme environmental conditions and
high electrical stress. The tubing protects substrates from erosion caused by leakage current. The sealant
provides a moisture proof environmental seal to the substrate. The tubing is normally used as an integral part of
Raychem Cable Terminations for voltages above 1 kV.
