Hungary is located in Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Ukraine, Slovakia, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, and Croatia. It has two major regions, Transdanubia and the Great Plain. Ajka is an industrial town in western Hungary, located near Lake Balaton. It was originally a mining town but now has factories in glass, electronics, aluminum, and foundry. The school in Ajka is named after two Hungarian authors and teaches primary, secondary, and vocational education to about 900 students.
