• At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,
we strive to give knowledge leadership in a wide
and diverse range of research and teaching
programs including : Anthropology, Archeology, Art
history, Classics, Communication, Criminology,
Cultural studies, Drama, History, International
Relation, Journalism, Languages, Linguistic,
Literature, Media’s studies, Music, Political science,
hiliosophy, Sociology, and the World Religion.

obver time. Indeed, it is possible to make a
persuasive case that they matter more than ever.
That is why th disciplines that make up HASS are
critical divers of the Univesity’s mission to generate
‘knowlwdge leadership for a better world.

• The Humanities stream has a variety of subject taht
can give you exciting career opprtunities. Choosing
humanities after class 10 will pave the way for
some exciting new career options.
5. WHAT ARE THE SUBJECTS GENERALLY
OFFERED IN HUMANITIES?
• English, History, Geography, Political Science,
Psycology, Sociology, Fashion Studies, Hindi or
Sanskrit. Students who wish to pursue mass
media, journalism, studying history, geography
and other liberal arts should opt for this stream.
The subjects are wide ranging and give the
students an insight into human cuktures,
behaviors, evolution and so dforth.

have envolved. After all, it wa the huanities that have
vigorously defended free and independent thought,
when for centuries governments treated scholarship
with suspicion. Inside the mini republics of learning
established in the oldest faculties of arts and
humanities, knowlwgdgw flourished as revealeed truth
made way for justified beliefs. Later, as the social
sciences developed, the power of privilege was eroded
by ideas of progress, fainess, and equality.
