The Human Factors Research Group conducts interdisciplinary research connecting various fields like biology, psychology, sociology and engineering to design technology with human factors in mind. Their research domains include healthcare, military, aviation and air traffic control. Current research projects include studies on watch/phone displays, tabletop computer displays, communication in healthcare, and multimodal interfaces for unmanned aerial vehicles. The group also investigates topics like emotion and touch interaction, virtual environments and emotion, tabletop interfaces, and air traffic control communications to improve human-technology interaction.
