Rural Children’s Book Bank Project - Periodic Assessment Reportmagicmaji
1. The report assesses a rural library project using the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model, where NGOs and volunteers build and initially operate the library before transferring management to the local school and students.
2. An assessment found some differences between the planned volunteer-run management compared to actual implementation, including shorter volunteer periods and altered operating hours. Management was then transferred to student self-management with modified borrowing rules.
3. A comparison showed changes from volunteer-run to student-run management, including borrowing frequency, operating hours, and borrowing/return procedures and record keeping, to better fit the school schedule. Reasons for the changes are explained.
