All Non-Tower Crane Lifting Operations are to be temporarily suspended on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis across all projects until the following 10-point checks (which you should already have in place) of each piece of plant and equipment (Including there of subcontractors and ATC hired plant) have been verified: • A Lifting Plan or similar for each type of lifting equipment (to be submitted to HSE Department) • A Risk Assessment for each type of Lifting Equipment (to be submitted to HSE Department). • Appropriate lifting training documents (multi lingual) for each type of lifting machine, to be provided to the logistics team, supervisors (of all types and levels) involved in lifting including operators, riggers and flagmen. • Verification that lifting tackles are safe, in good condition, ID tagged with #, date and fit for use. • Verification of Operator Credentials (Third party operator certification, ATC or Supplier training records, driving license). • Vehicle registration documents. • Verification of Equipment by Third Party fitness certifications and internal inspection records. • Internal Inspection Records (Use operator Pre-use Safety Checklist) • Vehicle Repair and Maintenance records. • Inspection & Verification of Tire Pressures, Tilt and Load Indicators on all equipment (where appropriate) to ensure they are functioning. • After the vehicle and operator are cleaned , the check sheet signed off the the vehicle can be returned to full service V/a a progressive , vehicle by vehicle Return to Work Permit.
