ACTION PLAN
I, The general problem or area of concern:
We have to face competition in the market and how will we create competitive advantages to
attract customers.
In fact, there’re many new restaurants opened everyday, so if those restaurants cannot establish
their own competitive advantages, they will not be able to exist in the uncertain and unfriendly
market places nowadays.
Solutions
 Creating customer values are the first thing to attract customers. Thus, promoting products
and services honestly and attempt to bring to customers the best quality at a reasonable price.
 Creating competitive advantages by choosing an appropriate marketing technique to develop
brand development & brand recognition through doing competitor analysis and market
research:
 Introducing our restaurant to customers by using brochures and websites.
 Launching discounting program on the opening day.
Feedbacks from surveys will help us:
 Upgrading the level of service quality
 Creating brand recognition through assessing and analyzing customers’ needs and
attitudes toward our restaurant’s products and services as well as competing brands and
their products and services
 Creating competitive advantages is the solution which will be implemented first to
solve the problem.
12 | P a g e
II, The specific problem:
Recently, Inflation is a difficult issue which affects both organization and customers. Day by day,
it pushes the cost of production to be higher. If the organization cannot find a way to solve this
problem, it will decrease productivity, profits and lose market share as well.
Solutions:
 Increasing profits and reducing loss by passing the cost savings to our customers with our
efficient operations.
 Setting up a regulation of economization as our organizational culture
- Enhancing employees’ awareness and requiring them to economize electricity by turning off
the unnecessary electrical device
- Pricing strategy: To lower the price of this product:
 Planning to cut down the cost of production
 Reducing the levels of supplying intermediaries by directly connecting
some original suppliers and creating close relationships with those
suppliers to get the best prices of materials.
III, Planning schedule
Our expected opening day is February 7, 2012 and we are planning to implement those solutions
2 weeks before the beginning (January 22, 2012).
We will try our best to make sure the problems will be solved radically after 3 months of running
(May 7, 2012)
