Research Paper On Frankenmuth
Frankenmuth is located in Saginaw County, Michigan. It is actually located within a township of the
same name, but it is politically independent and self sustained. Frankenmuth is one of the largest
tourist attractions in Michigan simply because of all the things a person can do there. It has shops,
historical significance and much more. The name Frankenmuth is derived from Franken, which refers
to the Province of Franconia and muth refers to courage, which collectively means the courage of the
Franconians. Frankenmuth is also considered a sister city of Gunzenhausen, Bavaria. Frankenmuth

It is basically the traditional Bavarian cuisine. Most of the famous restaurants there are family style
meals. The most famous of all these restaurants is Zehnder s. It is the oldest restaurant in
Frankenmuth. The hotel was opened in 1929 after William and Emilie Zehnder were in financial
trouble. They had to sell their 80 acre farm and take a loan to buy the hotel they wanted to buy. Then
they redesigned it to look like George Washington s house. They soon turned into a huge success and
now they even have a waterpark, rooms for staying et cetera. And their most popular dish was
obviously the chicken family dinner. Frankenmuth is also home to one of the most famous Christmas
stores, Bronner s Christmas Wonderland. It was founded in 1945 and since then has grown into the
largest Christmas store in the world. It covers 27 acres of land and has about everything that is related
to Christmas, but the store only covers 7.35 acres of land. It was designed with Alpine architecture in
mind and two 17 foot Santas and a 15 foot snowman greets visitors everyday. The store was founded

In fact it may resemble the line at the airport a day or two before Christmas! You need some clues on
how to identify it.
So, here s what you re looking for. A whole new breed of teaching, (or coaching) is hitting internet
marketing by storm. It s called Fixed Term Membership or FTM. You can learn just about anything.
So, what does it mean? It means that for the first time ever, you can now take a course on just about
any subject you can imagine. A course with a beginning and an end.
So what? Well, of the thousands of courses out there, most are membership sites which by their very
nature, don t have an end. They go on forever .
And since there is no beginning or end, you can t measure success or failure. (Except for the
membership site owner.) She can measure her success by how long she can keep you paying, month

FTM, on the other hand, the new kid on the block, is highly structured. There is a starting point,
(usually newbie friendly); a progression of classes, (often weekly lessons). You know what your goals
are. You re led by the hand and shown how to achieve them. You know when the course will be
finished. As I like to put it, a good FTM will take you from mystery to

However, it should be noted that the probability that the zoning change will be approved, given that
the market research study predicts rejection, is only 0.05085. Hence, there is a high probability of
0.9492 that the zoning change is indeed rejected, given that the market research predicts rejection. In
such a scenario, whereby Oceanview conducts market research and rejection of the zoning change is
predicted, it is faced with an expected loss of $387,900.75 if it proceeds with the bid, and an expected
loss of $15,000 if it does not. Hence in this case, it will not focus on maximizing profits but on
minimizing loss. Hence it should not bid if market research predicts rejection, as this decision is more
likely to keep its loss at a minimum. To decide whether to employ market research, Oceanview should
consider the value of the market research information. If it conducts market research, the expected
value of its payoff is $28,992.50 higher than otherwise. Since the value of the market information is
positive, Oceanview should conduct the market research as it brings benefits. Hence, the optimal
strategy for Oceanview will be to conduct market research. If approval is predicted, it should then
proceed with the bidding, whereas if rejection is predicted, it should not bid. This will allow
Oceanview to either maximize profits, if approval of zoning change is predicted, or to minimize
losses, if rejection is predicted.

John Winthrop A Model Of Christian Charity
John Winthrop, was the leader of the second Puritan group to enter the New World, called the
Massachusetts Bay Colony. This group of Puritans had a much different goal than their Separatists
Puritan counterparts, their objective being to go abroad and set up a superior Church, that the Church
of England could then model its self after. Therefore, Winthrop gave a sermon before they reached
their new homeland that would govern how everyone should treat one another for the sake of their
goal and for the successfulness of the community itself. This sermon was called A Model of Christian
Charity , and through it was how the colony formed its structure. Within this sermon was specific laws

Absence of Evidence, or Evidence of Absence? A paper on Animal Consciousness nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;
nbsp; nbsp;Consciousness is a difficult term to grasp; so much so, that many scientists will not even

consciousness must include certain aspects; specifically cognition, self awareness, memory, and
abstract thought. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Lesley J. Rogers describes consciousness as, related to
awareness, intelligence, and complex cognition, as well as language. Consciousness may be

able to recognize different objects by color, shape, and material. He was even able to eventually
distinguish between concepts such as bigger, smaller, same, different, over, and under. When asked to
identify objects, Alex correctly identified, on first try, 80% of all objects presented in over 200 tests
(45). He was also able to correctly pair different labels together to fit a certain object; for example
color and material. After only two years of training, Alex was able to communicate with contextual
and conceptual use of human speech. He could identify, request, and refuse a set of objects for play or

Describe the impact of World War I on the Labor Movement in the United States. Describe at least
three aspects of this period that affected union activity. Be sure to give reasons and examples to back
up any claims made. The first seeds of the union movement in the United States can be traced back to
a few decades before the World War I. The economy of the country was slowly turning capitalist and
the affluent society gaining a strong hold in key decisions regarding employment in established
businesses across the States. This had resulted in the emergence of political groups (Organized Labor
World war, 2007)which were predominantly leftist or socialist in their orientation. Some of them
included organizations like the Socialist Party and the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). These
movements gained popularity amongst the lower classes of society through the messages that they
consciously trickled down the lines about their objective of creating a democratic society which would
be controlled by the working class which would not have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However Gompers shared President Wilson s concern as Germany began their submarine invasion
about the possibility of German supremacy. This resulted in the AFL changing their stand diabolically

labor movement in supporting the war and he was proved right as he was appointed to the Council of
National Defense, an organization that helped the country prepare for the war. Gompers formed alabor
subcommittee within the council that created a panel of representatives from business, labor, and the
government research into strategies for better industrial coordination and to draw up guidelines on
wages, hours, and mediation in war related industries. This can be seen as the framework upon which
the labor movement in the country has been built

Essay on Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
In 1818 a novel was written that tingled people s minds and thrilled literary critics alike. Frankenstein
was an instant success and sold more copies than any book had before. The immediate success of the
book can be attributed to the spine tingling horror of the plot, and the strong embedded ethical
message. Although her name did not come originally attached to the text, Mary Shelley had written a
masterpiece that would live on for centuries.
Nearly 200 movies have been adapted from the text since the birth of Hollywood. Most recently
though (1994), is Kenneth Brannaugh s rendition entitled Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. Although
Brannaugh makes a spectacular attempt to emulate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book is written as a frame narrative, but this sort of presentation is almost impossible to reproduce
on screen. Robert Walton s letters to his sister, and the monster s long autobiographical narratives were
both omitted from the film for this reason. A big asset to narrative voice is the reader acquires a more
thorough impression of the charter s thoughts and feelings. Without the use of this literary tool,
Brannaugh had to rearrange scenes, add dialect where there was none before, and depend on the
superb theatrical ability of the actors.
The movie starts off very true to the text with Walton s ship becoming logged in the ice in the arctic.
Despite some minor changes, the film follows the book pretty closely until the death of Frankenstein s
mother is described. In the novel, she contracts scarlet fever after caring for Elizabeth, and died
calmly...her countenance express[ing] affection even in death (Shelley, 72). In the movie, she
collapses while dancing with Victor, and soon after dies while giving birth to his brother William. This
scene is filled with screaming, blood and gruesome images as the mother dies in a fit of pain and
agony. Victor runs into his mother s room and is met by the site of her covered in blood and lain
strewn on a broken chair. He then proceeds to throw himself on top of her and cry bring her back, oh

Levels of Decision Making
There are three levels of decision making within a business:
Strategic
Strategic decisions are made at a high level, for example, CEO or owners. These decisions are long
term and will affect the future direction of Ice Queen. These decisions may occur once the company
has conducted a SWOT Analysis to look at their strengths (internal), weaknesses (internal),
opportunities (external) and threats (external). Once Ice Queen has evaluated these, they can then
begin to make strategic choices to improve on these results. These choices maybe to explore other
products, mergers or expansion of the company.

Research Paper On Infant Baptism
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as
a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5) I ran across a post on social media the other day that asked for
your greatest church fail. Not in the vein of what have you done to close a church, or what did you do
that turned out to be a bad ministry. These were humorous posts. te times we did something in church
we wished we hadn t. One of my favorites involved a young lady who high fived a man who had lifted
his hand as she walked by. Not realizing he was in a moment of praise lifting his hands to the Lord.

Before I go on, please know I am only speaking from my tradition as a United Methodist. And as a
United Methodist I want to stress there is nothing magical about infant baptism. It s perfectly fine to
wait until one if of an age of accountability. But that being said, let me share why I am a proponent for
infant baptism. It s at infant baptism we find ourselves being terribly Wesleyan in our theology.
Wesley stressed Prevenient grace, the grace that goes before . Wesley asserted none of us come to
Christ on our own. God moves first wooing us, drawing us near. Often we ar oblivious to the entire
thing, much like the baby. At infant baptism we say in some way we can t understand God loves you
more than we ever will. Our love pales in comparison to the love God has for you. Now lets think
about that for a moment. The baby, other than being cute, as done nothing to earn Gods love. It doesn t
even know what s going on. And yet even though the baby can give nothing back, God pours His love
upon this child in a unmemrited way. That s

report. The visualization of The Campaign is a health care system that promotes high quality care, in
which nurses contribute to their practice to their maximum potential. These efforts are harmonized
through an initiative of AARP, the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), the AARP
Foundation, along with the RWJF (Center to Champion, n.d.). The powerful forces behind The
Campaign are Action Coalitions that function at the local levels as well as at the state levels. In this
capacity, The Campaign can form strong, grassroots networks full of diverse stakeholders that work
diligently in order to transform health care through nursing (Center to Champion, n.d.). The Florida
Action Coalition has a focused objective to promote the goals of the IOM report recommendations and
transform health care at the state level through nurse led innovative solutions. Each state identifies and
develops initiatives to promote and further support the IOM goals. Florida has developed the Florida

Jesus Seminar Critique
One critique to the Jesus Seminar was the motives behind their work. The media often portrayed the
group to be comprised mostly of former Christians, attacking hardest on the group s leader Robert
Funk and cochair John Crossan. Critics went as far to describe their meetings as having the air of a
village atheists convention (Powell, 110). Such an allegation gave rise to the popular belief that the
motives of the scholars were to get revenge on institutionalized religion for not being accepting to
them. I believe the media was too quick to judge the motives of the scholars by attacking their
backgrounds. Just because their work was controversial doesn t mean it was subjective with
underlying personal vendettas. It seems unlikely that a group ... Show more content on

The most rebutted aspect of the work done by the scholars was their idiosyncrasy to equate
unverifiable with unauthentic. Most scholars who study the elements attribute to the life of Jesus stand
on common ground when it comes to the realization that many of the sayings and deeds associated to
Jesus in the Gospels lack sufficient evidence to establish authenticity. However, to many scholars
insufficient evidence means an element cannot be verified, and therefore should not be deemed as
historical. In contrast, the Jesus Seminar went beyond this scope and maintained that Jesus did not say
or did not do things that cannot be authenticated by evidence. For example, it is widely accepted that
there is very little evidence to support whether or not Jesus was born from his virgin mother, Mary. As
a result, this element of his life has just been something that one would believe on the foundation of
religious faith rather than historical science. However, the Jesus Seminar applied a post Enlightenment
historical scientific view to this element in order to determine authenticity. Under this assessment,
they determined not only what is confirmable but what also is scientifically possible. Therefore, the
scholars deemed the virgin birth as non historical, concluding that Jesus had been conceived through
normal sexual intercourse between a male and female because it fit the paradigm known today. This
stance held by the Jesus Seminar turn[s] a corner in the traditional understanding of the relationship
that faith and philosophy bear to science and history (Powell, 115). For this reason, I reject the
integrity of their work. I believe faith and philosophy should be kept separate of science and history,
unless the two aim to support one another. Rescinding concepts of faith simply because they do fall
within current scientific boundaries is illegitimate. The major flaw of the Jesus Seminar is their

is cotton. The south used to rest on the labor of slave, but now slavery is abolished. Although the south
is in a dilemma, the north is helping to get the south back on its feet. According to Marshall Harvey
Twichell the north has decided people could deduct school taxes and educate their children, if they do

made me very unpopular with the white people, who rightly looked upon it as a distinctly Northern

Ancient Solar Architecture Essay
Ancient Solar Architecture
Passive solar design and architecture may seem like a distant dream in our fast paced modern world,
but in reality it s more of a modern revival of a style of energy efficient building that has been around
for millennia. What once seemed to be common sense ideas for designing a house that could both
keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter has somehow been forgotten since we started to
overuse the planet s resources on our own comforts. When heating a house took lots of effort it was
the wise choice to design a building that could use the energy provided by the sun in the most
advantageous ways. Unfortunately, in my opinion, since all we have to do now to heat our house is a

Not only is it the actual building either that needs to be thought about, but also the shape, style and
location of the external features that can be used for shading and other purposes. Again, this is not a
new idea. In 1 B.C., Vitruvius, the chief architect of the Roman Empire said, We must begin by taking
note of the climate in which buildings are to be built if our designs for them are to be correct . One
type building seems appropriate for Egypt, another for Spain, one still different for Rome, and so on
with lands and countries of varying characteristics. Some civilizations even used solar architecture for
purposes other than for heat. The Egyptian pyramids were able to oriented to track the position of the
sun. There were many temples that had shafts that could be opened on certain days like the solstice to
allow light beams down to an altar . This is very impressive considering that the exact angles of the
sun s rays had to be calculated and then the shafts had to be accurately constructed in order to perform
as designed. This principle also demonstrates how solar architecture doesn t have to be entirely for
heating and cooling. The design of solar homes can be very pleasing to the occupants. They are often
more open and well lighted, and they give the feel of being more connected to nature since the house
actually changes as the outside world changes.

Ancient Egyptian Greek and Roman Stele Essay
Ancient Egyptian Greek and Roman Stele Just as we use tombstones to mark graves and
commemorate our dead, so too did ancient civilizations. One way to do so in the ancient world was
through the use of steles. A stele is a stone slab, usually decorated in relief and inscribed, that honored
the death of a person. Three of the ancient cultures that had implemented the use of the stele were the
Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. In comparing an example from each civilization, it is possible to see
the evolution of the stele from one period to another and the different influences each civilization had
on a single element.
The Egyptians had many ways to honor their dead, including the stele. Wealthy Egyptians, especially

The Greek grave markers of the 3rd 1st century BCE are almost wholly restricted to the East Greek
World. The most common type is tall, with architectural elements, and a big figure of the deceased
with small attendants. Another type, a short and broad rectangle, depicts the deceased at a feast the
Death Feast or Totenmahl reliefs. (Rothermel 354)
The Western Asia Minor Funerary Stele is one Greek stele that falls under these distinctions.
(University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology) It is from Asia Minor (part
of the East Greek World) during the 1st century BCE. It shows the deceased, a man, lying on a dining
couch under an arch. He is leaning on his left elbow and holds up a funerary wreath with the right
hand. It is said that the woman on the left is his wife. She appears to be thinking, probably of her dead
husband. There are also two attendants, one on either side of the arch, and a table in front of the
deceased loaded with food. This stele has all the distinct characteristics (mentioned previously) of the
grave markers from the eastern part of the Greek Empire. The architectural elements (the arch), an
image of the deceased (the man on the couch), the broad rectangular shape of the stele, and the Death
Feast are all present within this stele. (Rothermel 354)

Research Schedule 9. References 1. Problem Definition FiWi (Fiber Wireless) networks are designed
using the wireless networks such as WLANs and fiber networks like PONs (Passive Optical
Networks). Therefore FiWi networks having advantages of both users mobility support as well as high
bandwidth. But the major problem with this networks is as the number of mobile user s increases,
queueing delay is increasing in FiWi s Optical Network Unit (ONU). There are number of methods
recently proposed for minimizing this queueing delay for bandwidth allocation. However, this
methods are only working on PONs and WLANs and hence not considering the state of ONU.
Therefore performance of FiWi networks is poor in terms of throughput and queuing delay. For any
kind of FiWi networks improving its performance in terms of throughput is very vital. This can be
possible by presenting the efficient queueing delay minimization method for FiWi networks. This is
main research problem for this domain. 2.

According to Yasser Ali (2015) when the high intensity exercises are completed, the amino acid levels
in the muscles are at their lowest for 4 6 hours after training. The body needs more than 24 hours to
restore the content it was before training, and the protein works as a catalyst for the performance of
athletes where he plays an important role in increasing glycogen storage in the liver, which have a
helper effect in carrying increased training intensity. (21:55)
Anthony Barnett (2008) asserts that oxygen is very vital for the growth and regeneration of all cells in
the body, Without it cell destruction can occur, A person cannot survive for a few minutes without

Sports Illustrated Magazine Analysis
The magazine I chose to analyze was the November 30th edition of Sports Illustrated, Lights, Cam,
Action. This magazine is dominantly about male professional and collegiate level sports, with the
occasional article about a female. Being that this edition was published in November, the middle of
football season, the main sport that is featured throughout the magazine is football. Although football
is the main focus, other sports such as track, wrestling, soccer, basketball and others are featured in
various articles. The article length in this particular magazine vary, but the average is usually around
two pages. Cam Newton is the star of this edition, with his picture on the cover, and a five page spread
of him in the magazine. He is portrayed as a hero, which would make any Carolina Panthers fan happy
(Pg. 32). The reading level in this magazine is not too challenging, but may be difficult for some. This
magazine advertises typical products that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has no advertisements or articles that are purely aimed at women and only features a woman once.
The editors do not waste their time writing about women s sports and leagues because they know men
are not interested and believe that women s sports are inferior to men s. Though the magazine is
gender biased, I believe it can be read by a wide range of males. I think the most popular age group to
read Sports Illustrated is 30 to 50 year old men. People who read this are not poor nor rich, but middle
class. The readers have a decent amount of education, because they have to be able to read some of the
lengthy articles, and they live in urban and suburban areas. To be interested in this magazine, you must
be an avid sports fan and contain prior knowledge about the sports featured. People who read Sports
Illustrated magazine are men with some misogynist views against women and believe that they are
superior in the sports

Natural History Of Zebra Mussels
Natural History of Zebra Mussels
Invasive species aren t anything new in Minnesota; however, over the past 500 years, more than 4,500
species have established populations in the United States (Benson, 2015). Zebra mussels (Dreissena
polymorpha) are one of those invasive species. Named because of their zebra like stripes, these bi
valve mussels live between 4 5 years and grow to about 50 millimeters. Zebra mussels are native to
western Russia near the Black and Caspian Seas. Construction of canals aided their spread throughout
Europe between the 1700s and the 1800s (Jensen, 2009). By the 1830s, zebra mussels had spread
throughout Europe and Britain. Some researchers caution drawing too many comparisons between the

If there is some water supplies, closed zebra mussels can survive for longer. Veligers cannot survive
drying; however, if there is a small water amount (like a puddle or pond), they can survive making
some treatment methods like lowering the reservoir levels ineffective. Zebra mussels can survive as
boats are transferred from lake to lake and even in bait buckets that fishermen and fisherwomen use.
Researchers indicate that overland dispersal could have spread zebra mussels from one small inland
lake to another which would explain why so many inner lakes are contaminated with zebra mussels.
Ballast water from a Russian commercial cargo vessel was the main vector for spreading the zebra
mussels into U.S. waterways and regulations have been put into place regarding discharging ballast in
waterways. Education has spread the preventative methods for stopping the spread of zebra mussels
and the legal implications of not following rules are steep.
Minnesota SeaGrant (2009) offers these recommendations about protecting local waters from
spreading zebra mussels:
Aquatic plants and animals should be removed from boats, trailers and other equipment. Spray down
boats and boat trailers before leaving the water access point.
Livewells and bilge water should be emptied
Bait buckets should be dumped onto land (not into the water) and shouldn t be cross contaminated

Rationing During World War Ii Essay
Rationing During World War II
30 March, 2012
Rationing During World War II Rationing is defined as a fixed allowance of provisions of food,
especially for soldiers or sailors or for civilians during a shortage (dictionary.com). In 1942 a rationing
system began to guarantee minimum amounts of things people needed. During World War II, people
couldn t just walk into a store and buy whatever they wanted. Ration books are books that contained
coupons where shopkeepers could cut out the coupon for the person to use. War ration books and
tokens were issued to each American family, controlling how much gas, tires, sugar, meat, silk, shoes,
nylon and other items any person could buy (Rationing on the US Homefront). The Office of Price ...

With the above list of rationed items, each person was allowed sixteen points to use on whatever
rationed item they wanted. Pregnant women, mothers who are nursing their children or children under
the age of five were allowed to pick their choice of fruit, daily pint of milk and double eggs first
(Barrow, 2010). Clothes rationing began two years after food rationing started. During World War II,
there was a shortage in material for clothing. The shortage made people to make due and mend so that
way factory workers could make uniforms, and parachutes for the war (Giullian, 2010). The
government gave each person a ration book for clothes. Just like food rationing, when people wanted
to buy new clothes, all they had to do was bring their ration book to the store and then buy they
clothes they wanted, then you hand over your ration book to the storekeeper and they mark off what
the person got in their ration books. The coupon system allowed people to get a new set of clothing
each year. Coupons were a different color so they wouldn t use all their coupons at once. The
government told the people when they could use their other coupons. At first, each

Henry eventually gets his red badge of courage by getting hit in the head with a rifle. In Knowle s

of boys growing to be men. When Gene was younger the giant tree always gave him chills, because
that is where his friend Finny fell and broke his leg. Finny died because of the broken leg. Gene visits
Devon Boarding School around 15 years later. This time Gene is grown and in his mid thirties. Gene
notices the huge tree that gave him chills when he was younger. This time when Gene saw the huge
tree it seemed not as big as he expected it to be. The tree did not bring as much chills neither. It is easy
to infer that the giant tree brought a little discomfort to him because that is where his friend broke his

Lynching In The Twentieth-Century South
Lynching in the Twentieth Century South During the twentieth century lynching was a form of
punishment exercised frequently in the Southern states. Lynching is the practice whereby a mob
usually several dozen or several hundred persons takes the law into its own hands in order to injure or
kill a person accused of some wrongdoing (Zangrando). In several cases the mob would not really
reason with the people they are punishing, most times there would not be a trial, like there would be if
it had gone through the courts. The mob would dictate whether they were guilty or not and determine
the punishment they would receive. People could be lynched for a crime they did not commit or
because they were affiliated with someone who were guilty of something, and because the mob
assumed they were guilty, they took matters into their own hands and those people would be lynched.

Relationship Between Religion And Politics
In this course, I found the connection between religion and politics the most important concept we ve
studied. With engagement and understanding of politics becoming increasingly important, it s valuable
to study the ways people both interact with politics and form their political opinions and as we ve
seen, religion can play a huge role in both of these aspects. However, the way religious groups engage
with politics can perhaps be generalizing when discussing major religions, seeing as these groups are
often widely diverse and brimming with unique experiences. Therefore, I believe it is just as important
to discuss the political dimension of religion with the social influences of ethnicity, gender, sexuality,
and the interrelations between them. Although the connections between religion and politics may be
controversial to some, it really isn t surprising that they overlap. For many people, religion and politics
are significant parts of their ideology and morals; they both shape ethical decisions and certainly
influence how we view society and the interactions within it. Politics and religion, along with
ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, are important identities that shape how others see us, and how
we see ourselves. Thus, it makes sense that religious beliefs may influence a person s politics or vice
versa. While I believe a mix of these identities, and thus personal experiences, has the greatest impact
on politics, religion clearly is a significant influence

A PERSONALISED INDUCTION WILL ALWAYS BE MORE EFFECTIVE
Always is a metaphor, therefore it is a given and will happen. The title of this discussion leads to the
suggestion that the personalised induction will always be more effective, however, I am inclined to
disagree that this statement is true. Always is a metaphor, therefore it is a given and will happen. In
some clients this may be true, but not always. The type of client, the type of hypnotherapy required
and the state of mind of the client will also have factors to play. A personalised induction allows for a
more personal approach but in many cases this may not be possible.

Our brain will externalise instructions that it has internally stored and so people should behave and
react outwardly to what they are thinking internally, but we tend not to because of inhibitions. Our
internal world tends to be far more exciting than our external personas therefore by accessing it via
hypnosis we should be able to change this and lead just as exciting an outside world.
Our brains create our mental state, we can think ourselves into a state of mind. For example, your
body may be exhausted during exercise but if your brain keeps repeating that you can continue then
you can force your body to carry on.
In the early 1970s a student of psychology, Richard Bandler and an assistant professor of linguistics,
John Grinder identified that all humans have a series of modalities. All humans have a preference for a
specific sense or modality which we are born with and which is predominant and they use this more
than their other modalities. Each of the modalities has representations in the person s physiology,
language, behaviour and eye movement. Most people primarily define their world in a visual, auditory
or kinaesthetic way; but there are other modalities which include olfactory (smell), gustatory (taste)
and digital/audio (internal dialogue).
Hypnotherapists using this method conduct a preliminary interview to define their client s modality.

Further, MMBC should deploy grass roots marketing like social media for the launch of MMLight to

On Premise Location and New Customers To further decrease the likelihood of cannibalization and to
diversify its location offerings and customer base, the memorandum recommends that MMBC launch
MMLight into on premise locations (such as bars and restaurants). Industry observers remark that the
crucial consumer segment for beer companies are younger drinkers ages 21 27 years who are not yet

The principles underpinning self directed support and how it differs to traditional support is as
follows:
Right to independent living If someone has an impairment they should be able to get the support they
need to live an independent life.
Right to a personal budget If someone needs ongoing support they should be able to decide how the

c. Support plan
Your Social worker will help you do your support plan and then it will be taken to a panel who will
then agree it when they feel it meets your needs.
d. Outcome focused review
An outcome focused review is part of the self directed support process. It is a way of carrying out
reviews that puts the main focus on the results being achieved for the person and his or her family. The
purpose of an outcome focused review is to:
Review progress in using a personal budget to achieve the outcomes set out in the person s support
plan
Share learning about what has been tried and worked or not worked
Identify next steps to achieve these goals
Update the support plan
Make clear if the person s support needs have changed, and
Help the council to check if the person is still eligible for social care.
The outcome focused review process is designed to be used for people who already have a personal
budget. However, it can work effectively for people who have not yet completed the self directed
support process, for example people who have an existing direct payment and those with a traditional
care package.
1.5 Outline the possible barriers to self directed support:
Some possible barriers to self directed support are as follows:
Self directed support is publicised insufficiently.
If the local third sector is not actively involved then practical and peer support for individuals may be
insufficient.
It is not always clear how

some very unhappy people during the French revolution. The question here is why the French citizens

group people attempting to escape the flames that distinctly separate the two parties. The painting is
symbolic of the way in which the English Government was separating itself from its people through
its monopolization of commerce at that time (Johnson, 1993). The smoke and fire coming from the

There is also a caption at the bottom of the page which describes the scenario. According to the print s

image can not be taken literally, but its allegorical suggestion held great significance to the times. The

so technically flawless some viewers could mistake the crudeness of this piece as a result of David s
artistic and intellectual inadequacy, this could not be farther from the truth, in fact, many believe
David did this on purpose. Purpose: Although it certainly angered many of those who benefit from
unjust taxation, this piece was not created to serve the English Government and those alike, but it was
created to serve those who are being unfairly persecuted by any absolute government, for example: the

How Temperature Affects the Degeneration of Proteins in...
Aim: to find out how different temperature affects the protein levels within Fish food (flakes) stuffs.
1. Introduction
1.1. Fish food
Like humans do, fish also need proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals unfortunately
there are not many food which contain all the necessities2. This is tackled by feeding fish a
combination of flake, frozen and fresh food. Frozen food can cause problems for fish if the food is not
defrosted thoroughly as their intestinal lining is very sensitive and does not tolerate cold food very
well. Once the food is thawed properly it can be kept for two days refrigerated but then must throw
away. Fresh food which is given to fish consist of plants, animals, microorganisms, meats and
vegetables with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
H1 : Hotter and colder environments will cause the fish flake to have less proteins in than the normal
room temperature.
Ho : The different temperature will have no effect on the fish flake food.
2. Method
First of all the solution Copper Sulphate (CuSO4) was made into a solution using 2.49g CuSO4 in
100ml of water.
Then 0.52g of the fish flakes was weighed out and placed into the pestle mortar and grinded up, which
10ml of distilled water was then added to make a solution. Once the solution was made it was then
divided equally into five centrifuge tubes and spun for 5 minutes each time in the centrifuge, (the 5th
tube was balanced out in the centrifuge by a tube filled with water).
From each centrifuge tube 1ml was placed into separate test tubes, and then 1ml of CuSO4 and
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) which gives copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2), if the colour changed to
blue/violet then proteins where present within the solution.
A cuvette was filled with distilled water and place within the colorimeter to calibrate it before the
solutions were placed in if there was a colour change. If a colour change was present (blue/violet
protein is present) the solutions was then transferred into separate cuvettes and placed in the
colorimeter. The colorimeter was set at 580nm and then the readings from it were recorded within a
table.
Between each test of the different storage methods the

Essay On STEM Doesn T Stand For Men
The M in STEM Doesn t Stand for Men
Whether it peaks your interest or not there is no doubt that the STEM field plays a major role in your
society and is very important. Those four letters stand for science, technology, engineering, and math,
and they are the driving force of new discoveries and innovations that lead to new products and
processes that sustain our economy. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science
literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. However, despite the interest I have always
had for science and math, I was never introduced to the field of engineering or even knew that I could
consider a career in anything other than health services until near the end of my senior year of high
school. Growing up, I was always told to be either a doctor or lawyer. Since I knew being a lawyer
was not going to happen, I chose the health field. My mom and relatives would tell me that if I
thought becoming a doctor was too much work, I could always go into nursing or pharmacy, or do
something lighter, like accounting. My mom, like most of my aunts, does not have a college degree
due to factors that she could not control. Being from Vietnam, she was only taught life skills and how
to be a good housewife and a mother. She doesn t think that I will end up keeping and focusing on my
career when I grow up, because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My friend and I were applying to colleges at the same time, so we would swap and edit each other s
essays, and while reading his essay about engineering, the subject caught my eye. I asked him what
engineering was and what they do, since I ve only really ever heard the term by the few people I know
that want to be engineers. After doing some intensive research on the field and the different kinds of
engineering that best suits me, I realized that it was perfect and I decided that I wanted to go into

Political Conflicts In The United States, 1860-1860
By 1825 the population had doubled to 10 million people. Early on the nation was how Jefferson had
wanted it. Farmers remained strong in rural areas. As the 1800 s progressed an increasing number of
Americans were swept up in economic changes of the Industrial Revolution. Political conflicts over
tariffs, internal improvements, the Bank of the U.S. reflected the importance to people s lives of a
national economy that was rapidly growing and changing. By the time the election happened, laws
about voting had changed. White men were now able to vote without having to own land like they
previously were required to. The candidates went from state to state via train rides. Relied on
newspapers across the country. Candidates used town hall meetings,

MIP Politecnico di Milano 1. In an industry where profitable firms are scarce, Emirates has
delivered solid growth and solid financial performance for years. Why? What is behind Emirates
success? Ṝecently, on May 20th 2014, the Air French KLM announced their results showing record
losses. The strategy of alliance between two struggling airlines is yet to prove its success. Meanwhile,
in a complete contrast, The Emirates Airlines have passed a massive order of 32 Airbus 380 super
jumbo jets at the Berlin Air show 2010. Today, Emirates has a total of 140 orders for the Airbus 38010
and is the largest operator of A380 crafts around the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Twice a day, once from 12 a.m. 2 a.m. and again from 6 a.m. 8 a.m., a spike of passengers deplaned
from points west for a two hour window to connect to their east bound flights. These spikes strained
the airport s capacity, but they were essential to allow connecting passengers the widest possible
choice of connections from points east to west13. Emirates growth into new markets produced some
additional peak period hiccups. Strategic Expansion: The strategic move of placing a planning
department to forecast major growth regions and placed orders for the number of new planes it
expected to use. Once the planes were confirmed, the planning team examined the overall fleet, the
available craft currently in use, and how many planes remained. This base was then used to
determine whether to add capacity to existing routes or launch a new route. If case of the former
option, Emirates determined whether to add new service to an existing route or to swap out a service s
existing plane with a larger and newer craft. Emirates relied on only three types of aircraft, because of
which planes could be deployed onto existing routes to supply much more easily to match the demand.
Strategic Alliances with Manufacturer: Existing plane models with Emirates in the end of 20th
century, could only fly distances of up to 14 hours, due to which they were not able to connect to the
key potential

However, it should be noted that the probability that the zoning change will be approved, given that the market research study predicts rejection, is only 0.05085. Hence, there is a high probability of 0.9492 that the zoning change is indeed rejected, given that the market research predicts rejection. In such a scenario, whereby Oceanview conducts market research and rejection of the zoning change is predicted, it is faced with an expected loss of $387,900.75 if it proceeds with the bid, and an expected loss of $15,000 if it does not. Hence in this case, it will not focus on maximizing profits but on minimizing loss. Hence it should not bid if market research predicts rejection, as this decision is more likely to keep its loss at a minimum. To decide whether to employ market research, Oceanview should consider the value of the market research information. If it conducts market research, the expected value of its payoff is $28,992.50 higher than otherwise. Since the value of the market information is positive, Oceanview should conduct the market research as it brings benefits. Hence, the optimal strategy for Oceanview will be to conduct market research. If approval is predicted, it should then proceed with the bidding, whereas if rejection is predicted, it should not bid. This will allow Oceanview to either maximize profits, if approval of zoning change is predicted, or to minimize losses, if rejection is predicted. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The media often portrayed the group to be comprised mostly of former Christians, attacking hardest on the group s leader Robert Funk and cochair John Crossan. Critics went as far to describe their meetings as having the air of a village atheists convention (Powell, 110). Such an allegation gave rise to the popular belief that the motives of the scholars were to get revenge on institutionalized religion for not being accepting to them. The most rebutted aspect of the work done by the scholars was their idiosyncrasy to equate unverifiable with unauthentic. Most scholars who study the elements attribute to the life of Jesus stand on common ground when it comes to the realization that many of the sayings and deeds associated to Jesus in the Gospels lack sufficient evidence to establish authenticity. However, to many scholars insufficient evidence means an element cannot be verified, and therefore should not be deemed as historical. In contrast, the Jesus Seminar went beyond this scope and maintained that Jesus did not say or did not do things that cannot be authenticated by evidence. For example, it is widely accepted that there is very little evidence to support whether or not Jesus was born from his virgin mother, Mary. As a result, this element of his life has just been something that one would believe on the foundation of religious faith rather than historical science. However, the Jesus Seminar applied a post Enlightenment historical scientific view to this element in order to determine authenticity. Under this assessment, they determined not only what is confirmable but what also is scientifically possible. Therefore, the scholars deemed the virgin birth as non historical, concluding that Jesus had been conceived through normal sexual intercourse between a male and female because it fit the paradigm known today. This stance held by the Jesus Seminar turn[s] a corner in the traditional understanding of the relationship that faith and philosophy bear to science and history (Powell, 115). For this reason, I reject the integrity of their work. I believe faith and philosophy should be kept separate of science and history, unless the two aim to support one another. Rescinding concepts of faith simply because they do fall within current scientific boundaries is illegitimate. The major flaw of the Jesus Seminar is their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One type building seems appropriate for Egypt, another for Spain, one still different for Rome, and so on with lands and countries of varying characteristics. Some civilizations even used solar architecture for purposes other than for heat. The Egyptian pyramids were able to oriented to track the position of the sun. There were many temples that had shafts that could be opened on certain days like the solstice to allow light beams down to an altar . This is very impressive considering that the exact angles of the sun s rays had to be calculated and then the shafts had to be accurately constructed in order to perform as designed. Zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha) are one of those invasive species. Named because of their zebra like stripes, these bi valve mussels live between 4 5 years and grow to about 50 millimeters. Zebra mussels are native to western Russia near the Black and Caspian Seas. Construction of canals aided their spread throughout Europe between the 1700s and the 1800s (Jensen, 2009). Researchers indicate that overland dispersal could have spread zebra mussels from one small inland lake to another which would explain why so many inner lakes are contaminated with zebra mussels. Ballast water from a Russian commercial cargo vessel was the main vector for spreading the zebra mussels into U.S. waterways and regulations have been put into place regarding discharging ballast in waterways. Education has spread the preventative methods for stopping the spread of zebra mussels and the legal implications of not following rules are steep. Minnesota SeaGrant (2009) offers these recommendations about protecting local waters from spreading zebra mussels: Aquatic plants and animals should be removed from boats, trailers and other equipment. Ration books are books that contained coupons where shopkeepers could cut out the coupon for the person to use. Clothes rationing began two years after food rationing started. During World War II, there was a shortage in material for clothing. The shortage made people to make due and mend so that way factory workers could make uniforms, and parachutes for the war (Giullian, 2010). The government gave each person a ration book for clothes. Just like food rationing, when people wanted to buy new clothes, all they had to do was bring their ration book to the store and then buy they clothes they wanted, then you hand over your ration book to the storekeeper and they mark off what the person got in their ration books. • 36. Relationship Between Religion And Politics In this course, I found the connection between religion and politics the most important concept we ve studied. With engagement and understanding of politics becoming increasingly important, it s valuable to study the ways people both interact with politics and form their political opinions and as we ve seen, religion can play a huge role in both of these aspects. However, the way religious groups engage with politics can perhaps be generalizing when discussing major religions, seeing as these groups are often widely diverse and brimming with unique experiences. Therefore, I believe it is just as important to discuss the political dimension of religion with the social influences of ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and the interrelations between them. Although the connections between religion and politics may be controversial to some, it really isn t surprising that they overlap. For many people, religion and politics are significant parts of their ideology and morals; they both shape ethical decisions and certainly influence how we view society and the interactions within it. Politics and religion, along with ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, are important identities that shape how others see us, and how we see ourselves. Thus, it makes sense that religious beliefs may influence a person s politics or vice versa. While I believe a mix of these identities, and thus personal experiences, has the greatest impact on politics, religion clearly is a significant influence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
