Given the changes in atmosphere and various weather and atmospheric events on various stages,
we will be looking at including various map wide effects that slow or stop towers due to events
on the stages. The major events we are currently thinking about are blizzards, lightning storms,
and volcanic activity. Blizzards, on stage 1, can cause a slowing or complete stop of towers and
enemies found on the stage as mobility can be locked down or limited to prevent damage to
central machinery. Lightning storms, on stage 2 and 4, can cause short term damage to what is
hit, and possibly power fluctuations in mechanical foes and towers causing a stall in the unit
/tower s work. Volcanic activity, on stage 4, can be distant and result in the falling of hot flakes of
debris and ash. It could also be a lockdown or clearing of parts of the level dependent on how we
feel we need to balance the game at those points. Another possible effect would be, on stage 5,
meteor showers and other objects falling onto the surface causing damage or alterations to the map
itself.

Dealing With The Contract Renewal Negotiations
Joe has received an invitation from Bill owner of Peninsula Hotel Chain, for him and his wife to
come enjoy the weather and to catch. Joe didn t immediately accept the invitation, because in
some way, he was feeling a bit intimidated by the remark Bill had previously made concerning,
the proposed reduction being offered by the competitors. Joe is undecided at this point into he
should accept the offer, or pass. It also appears that Joe Company is aware of the relationship
between Joe and Bill, something they have not tried to intervene, because of the pass contract
negation Joe reduced the price and won the bid however, it was not without consequences for him.
I feel the predicament Joe is facing, is will this invitation border on conflict of interest, and if so
how can I ethical continue with the contract renewal negotiations? How should Joe respond to Bill
s invitation? We have come to understand that Joe and Bill have had an excellent working
relationship, which has been going on since the previous year. During this time a contract was
agreed upon, Joe and Bill maintained a social relationship as well. It was not till recently with
contract renewal has the business aspect affected their social interactions. Again, I believe this will
and have caused friction; both men are professional and should continue to represent their company
best interest, I had previously mentioned that Joe should consult with the team or decline the

Examples Of Dehumanization In Night By Elie Wiesel
Elie Wiesel uses Rhetorical question and Metaphor to demonstrate the effects of dehumanization.
Wiesel uses a Rhetorical Question to demonstrate that dehumanization causes people to not care
whether they live or die. For example Eliezer states that it would not matter when he died: Here
or else where what difference did it make? To die today or tomorrow, or later? The night was
long and never ending (Wiesel 72). This quotation demonstrates that it did not matter when he
died because he knew it was going to happen and Eliezer was careless. The use of the words die
today or tomorrow, or later implies that No matter what day it is either way he will eventually die.
Wiesel uses a Metaphor to demonstrate that dehumanization causes people to

Fastball s Loss Of Self-Confidence Skills
The reason I am writing to you, all involved with the league s management, is for you to alter the
position you take on pushing the players harder and making them be able to play competitively. I
ask you, respectfully, to contemplate about how many valuable players we have and how to bring
out their full potential. It appears to be that the players are lacking motivational and many skill
causing them to suffer defeat in many of their games.. Envision that you are in the last inning of
the game and the opponent has chance to up your score. You want to make sure the hitter doesn t
make contact with the ball and to make your team proud of you. You know that the batter is
unable to hit curve balls, but you can t throw one. You lose your self confidence and throw a
fastball hoping he would miss it. Unfortunately, they hit and score, and your team return home with
another loss in their hands. People start leaving the team thinking they have no chance in ever
winning a game or even being a good player. This is a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

our temper and be able to persist. This trait proves to be useful in later years when they go for job

children fear that competition and try to hide from as much as they can. So it is your responsibility
to push on them and make sure that they realize there is nothing fear and anything can be done if

Exploring The Role Of Hearing Loss In The 1940 s
Hearing serves a crucial benefit for understanding the world around us. During the 1940 s, Dr.
Ramsdell realized that hearing serves four crucial function; symbolically we are informed or
entertained, aesthetically hearing is naturally pleasing, warningly we are alerted or prepared,
primitively we are aware of our surroundings [1]. The earis typically divided into three sections,
used to simplify the hearing process. The first section, or the outer ear, is composed of the auricle
(skin covered cartilage), the auditory canal, and the tympanic membrane (the outer layer of the
eardrum). The middle ear section contains the eardrum, tympanic cavity, and the ossicles. These
ossicles are three small bones often referred to as malleus (hammer),... Show more content on

According to HearingLoss.org, more one in every five Americans suffer from some form of
hearing loss, that s about 50 million Americans. By the age of 65, 1/3 of all Americans suffer
from hearing loss [5]. Because of the large size of affected patients, developing and improving
hearing correctional methods is an ever growing and advancing field of study. While there exist
several solutions to a wide variety hearing problems, we are going to discuss Middle Ear
Replacements in this report. Middle Ear Implants and replacements aim to correct sensorineural
hearing issues. Often times, patients will elect to receive a middle ear implant instead of dealing
with the expense and hassle of traditional hearing aids. Recently, the FDA has approved a middle
ear transducer implant called the Vibrant Sound bridge. The Sound bridge operates by connecting a
Floating Mass Transducer to the incus (anvil) bone. This transducer is connected to external audio
processor that is discretely attached externally above the ear. When the external processor receives
a soundwave, a signal is transmitted to the internal transducer. The transducer then vibrates in such
a way that mimics natural middle ear amplifications

The Influence of the US and USSR in the...
During the period following World War 2.The new Zionist movement of Jews immigrating to the
Middle East to establish a homeland for all Jews in what was now Israel after being displaced for
many years. This led to conflict between the Arabs and the Jews about who had rights to this
homeland, with both the Arab Muslims and the Jewish Israelis having biblical claims to the cities
in the Middle East. This conflict was further fuelled by both the USA and the USSR as they were
trying to spread their sphere of influence by supplying aid in the form of weapons, ammunition and
support to gain access to valuable resources and water ways. However their involvement was not a
direct factor leading to the conflict between Israeland the Arab states but rather prolonging it by
supplying tools of war.
To begin with the USA had strong interests in the Middle East due to its resource rich lands and
strategic importance in the world and would secure these aims by aligning themselves with
Israel to land a foothold in the Middle East. The USA had strong interests in the Middle East for
two main reasons the first being oil. The USA has always put its sources of oil on a priority. So
when the Middle East became unstable the USA s first goal was to secure its source of oil.
Secondly was the strategic location of Middle East being the link between three continents and
home to the Suez Canal a vital shipping route from the Mediterranean to the Red sea. The USA
also wanted to solidify the capitalist

The Crucifixion By Brecht Durer Analysis
Brecht Durer once said, What beauty is, I know not, though it adheres to many things. Brecht
Durer was a German painter, print maker, and theorist who was born on May 21, 1471 and died on
April 6, 1528 in Nuremberg, Germany. His extensive work in printmaking established his reputation
in Europe, making him one of the leading artists of the Renaissanceperiod. A print is a work of art
made up of ink on paper and existing in multiple examples. Durer s woodcut prints often depicted
religious subjects and revealed technical skills that had never before been seen. Woodcut is a
technique in printmakingwhere the artist carves images from a piece of wood. Then it is covered
with a thin layer of ink so the carved parts remain ink less. His woodcut piece, The Crucifixion,
was made in Nuremberg, Germany in 1498 during the Northern Renaissance period. This print is

After Christ was captured, he was flogged with a lead tipped whip and mocked for being the

nine o clock in the morning, he was crucified. There was a darkness that fell across the land from
noon to three o clock. When the darkness vanished, Christ called out to God, saying My God,
my God, why have you forsaken me? The viewers were confused, as they thought he was calling
out to a prophet to save him from his fate and they decided to see if the prophet would come.
However, the only thing that happened was Christ cry as his soul was leaving his body and

Arctic Tern Research Papers
The Arctic Tern The Arctic tern is a seabird that belongs to the tern family, Sternidae. The species
spends the northern summers in the colder regions of Eurasia and North America. It migrates to the
southern hemisphere during the northern winter. The Arctic tern breeds between May and July in
the Arctic and subarctic regions of Asia, North America and Europe, as far south as Massachusetts.
The Arctic tern has the K reproductive strategy because it only lays two eggs a year, each with a
high probability of survival into adulthood. The population size generally stays the same and equal
throughout the age demographics, a common characteristic of K reproductive strategists. The
community of the Arctic tern contains a wide range of species, as... Show more content on

It s all about survival. When the Arctic tern enters the southern hemisphere, summer starts over
and temperatures stay mild and within the tern s range of tolerance. Most Arctic terns spend the
first month of their migration in the north Atlantic ocean eating and collecting energy for the
long trip ahead. Some migrations have been over 44,000 miles long round trip, with the birds
rarely stopping for rest and food. The specific reason these animals migrate so far is widely
unknown, although it is assumed for survival or breeding purposes. Some scientists suggest that
it s because of the rich [polar] feeding grounds that they travel so far. If the migrations performed
by this organism were to stop, the population would decrease rapidly because the temperatures in
either one of their habitats will drop so low that they will be outside the Arctic tern s limits of
tolerance and the birds would freeze to death. Arctic terns also provide a great source of pest
control when they eat insects and worms during their migrations. This would then be lost if the
Arctic tern stopped migrating. The Arctic tern has an annual mortality rate of 18%, according to
a study in the Farne Islands. Over 50% of the species will live past their 30th birthday, with an
average lifespan of 20 years, an anomaly for birds, who normally live between 2 and 5

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy And Post Traumatic Stress...
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Post traumatic Stress Disorder Millions of people suffer from
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and struggle to find an effective treatment option. Many
people have the misconception that only our veterans have this condition but in actuality over 8%
of the Unites States population have this mental illness. Researchers have been trying to study and
determine what the best treatment options are. Patients can get confused and frustrated in trying to
find a treatment that will fit their needs and gives them the best opportunity and chance of recovery.
Research has indicated that drug therapy has limited results when used without therapy and may
only treat symptoms (Wright 2013). Although many... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Patients may also be hesitant to talk about the original event especially in the case of rape or
sexual abuse. General Practitioners (GPs) often are not well trained in this type of mental
illness and are not aware of treatment options. And many patients suffer from co morbidities.
(Wright, 2013) One of the biggest obstacles in treating PTSD is the high prevalence of co
morbidities. Co morbidity is the presence of two or more chronic diseases or conditions in a
patient. A study conducted in Australia found that at least half of the people with PTSD have
moderate depression, while generalized anxiety disorder was present in a 40% of men and 22%
of women sufferers. (Wright, 2014). This study also found a close link between PTSD patients
and substance abuse; it was found that over 30% of people who suffer from PTSD also suffer
from substance abuse. (Wright, 2014) Co morbidities can make treatment very difficult since it s
not the PTSD alone that may need treatment; it s a series of issues. For example, a patient with
PTSD who also suffers from substance abuse needs two different kinds of treatment. Multiple kinds
of treatment may take more time and effort in order to get multiple conditions under control. Ideally
a patient needs to find a provider who can help with all his/her mental health conditions and a
treatment that addresses them holistically. In

Comparing Gilgamesh And The Biblical Flood
For centuries skeptics have questioned the authenticity of a great flood that covered the Earth. First
mentioned in the Genesis account, a great flood has also been reported in other ancient writings
such as the story of The Epic Gilgamesh from the Sumerian civilization. Ever since the Gilgamesh
text finding in the mid nineteenth century, questions have arisen about the connection these stories
could have with each other. The question is if one has historical truth and the other is based on it,
or if both stories were drawn from the same mythology. However, deeper comparison of
Gilgamesh to the Flood of Noah shows that it is extremely unlikely that the Biblical account of the
flood is taken from the Sumerian text. While the two narratives similarly depict a global flood, the
contradicting details of the stories and opposing world views indicate that the account of Noah is
not reliant upon the story of Gilgamesh. Due to this fact, the differences and similarities between
the Epic of Gilgameshand biblical flood can be perceived by analyzing the plot details, the main

Genesis describes the Earth flooding for forty days and forty nights, along with the flood waters
from the deep covering the face of the Earth. Genesis 7:11 describes this phenomenon by saying
how, all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens are opened
(Gen. 7:11). There is a more significant amount of water being supplied to create the flood in
Genesis than there is during the six day rain episode in the Epic of Gilgamesh. This would
logically allow the Earth to be fully covered in water. A simple 6 day rain is not able to cover the
entire earth that the devastating flood of the bible requires. In comparison to the biblical account,

Peng et al. (2008) articulates a framework in which firm resources and capabilities are viewed as
one of three antecedents of a firm s international business strategy (the other two being industry
based competition and institutional conditions and transitions). Thus, the current literature sheds
light only on how the capabilities of MNEs enable them to formulate appropriate strategic choices
that match their resources with opportunities in their external, that is, their global, environment.
However, mechanisms that ensure successful implementation of the chosen strategies remain
unclear. While we assume that MNEs should be able to establish appropriate structures to match
their strategies, research has shown that there is a lot of incongruence between MNE strategy and
structure (Duysters and Hagedoorn 2001). Effective Global Strategy Implementation 181 Based on

however, not everyone knows or has accesses to the Red Cross. Communication varies throughout

and still does to this day. Only 12 teachers have been known of being prosecuted for doing this, and
many more are said to be still doing this to poor defenseless children. In order to have better health

Breastfeeding Should Not Be Allowed In Public Essay
Breastfeeding is a complete natural way nourishing a baby from infant to toddler. Breastfeeding
was completely normal until the 1950s when formula was introduced. People around the world
have different opinions on breastfeeding in public (Hannan, Benton Davis, Grummer Strawn, 284).
There are many people who prefer a nursing mother to hide in the bathroom or sit in her car while
nursing, rather feeding her baby when he or she may get hungry, It is not always convenient for a
mother to hide when she has a hungry, fussy baby in her arms. They feel breastfeedingis not meant
to be done in public. However, breastfeeding is not illegal and should not be portrayed in a manner
of indecency or exposure.
Mothers nursing their children in the United States, Australia, Europe Asia and Africa have
varied legal rights while nursing in public. The United States have limited federal laws in the 49
states but each state also has their own laws to govern breastfeeding in public. Many mothers who
nurse will carry a copy of the breastfeeding laws with them for those who try to unjustly act
against them. The laws apply to the federal government building and in public areas. In some

The Process Of Making And Changing Laws Varies Throughout...
Mid Term #2 Prompt 1
The process of making and changing laws varies throughout regions, cultures and religions. This
trend applies to all religions, no matter how similar they may appear. Take for example,
Catholicism and Judaism; religions that share common traits in beliefs, customs and law. These
similarities may lead people to believe their legal process of legal change is also cognate, but that
is not the case. Although their process of legal change may appear as similar, the key differences
are highlighted through the legislators and the necessity of deriving law from an authoritative text.
The factors that affect these differences relate to the structure of the organization, the governing
body, and the purpose behind the creation of religious law in each system. Judaism s and
Catholicism s legal process are alike in many different ways. For example, although rabbinic
responsa and papal decretals seem completely different in definition, they share common
characteristics. Responsa is defined as the answers to questions submitted by someone having
communal authority to someone having greater communal authority ( Law and religion in Judaism ,
46) The community asks questions regarding law, and the rabbis, an authoritative source, reply
with a binding answer. On the other hand, papal decretals are laws and rules issued by the pope.
The denotation of these processes sound completely different, but their similarity lies in the nature
of papal decretals. The majority of

Pros and Cons of Government Intervention Essay

This specific report addresses the pros and cons of how much government intervention in the
marketplace is necessary and appropriate. This report will cover four authors, Cunningham, Green,
Friedman and Pertschuk. The authors have written extensively on consumerism and the protection
thereof. This author s goal is to break down some of the theories, which authors seem akin in their
beliefs and which authors views are bipolar opposites. Green states there be only should be two
types of government regulations 1) economic regulations and 2) health and safety regulations. He

Friedman views the consumer as strong and is totally interested in efficiency. He does note
however the FDA had done a good job of keeping us from harmful medication. The Cunningham s
objective of their research was to determine how many individuals in various sectors of society
know about the consumer protection laws and their rights as consumers. These were included, but
not limited to false advertising, false retail advertising, credit regulations, credit cards, labeling,
truth in lending and deceptive retail practices. These authors view the consumer relatively weak
due to a lack of knowledge. They also feel the low incomes are no match for the sophisticated
marketer. There these authors are interested in equity. The most important implication derives from
the lack of information demonstrated by all income segments of the consumer sample. This
situation suggests that what is needed is not more and tougher laws, but rather more information
made available to ore individuals concerning their rights as consumers. The present research has
demonstrated that one other variable is important: with the exception of a few areas of the law,
both consumers and attorneys know very little about their rights as consumers. This was
particularly true in areas such as door door selling, false or deceptive advertising, false or deceptive
retail practices. More and better information concerning consumers rights must be provided to

Criminal Justice Policy Analysis
The assumption one may hold regarding policy making in criminal justice is that individuals are
well informed about conviction rates as well as arrests, which influences changes in the criminal
justice system. However, such assumption raises doubts on the severity of punishment. Further,
perceived probability of arrest is related to subsequent criminal behavior. Such an argument is
based on the belief that people with lower perceived probabilities of arrest are more likely to get
involved in crimeduring subsequent periods.

ensuring that the policy made does not affect them negatively.
Perceptions Compared to the Definitions in the Readings
According to the readings, the definitions of policy making and policy analysis are detailed with
a focus on why, what, how, and when they can be applied to the policy process. However, one
may give definitions that are general and majoring on the overview of the terms. However, the text
provides clear relationship on policy making and policy analysis and how they work together.
Additionally, the definitions provide a clear beginning point for the application of the terms in real
life in addition to supporting facts that the terms may be defined by an individual who is not
conversant with the criminal justice field.

The Concept Of Compassion By Using Walker And Avant s (...
The concept compassion is heart felt and used by many to cover a subjective feeling.
Compassion is experienced by people across the world in healthcare and in many aspects of life.
It is well known in many disciplines, and has been deemed a quality in which nurses possess in
their profession. The idea is one that is familiarized by many, but is not clearly defined in nursing
education or practice but has been the foundation regarding the high quality of care nurses are
thought to contribute to the medical world. The purpose of this concept analysis is to understand
the experience of compassion. By using Walker and Avant s (2011) eight step guideline for
concept analysis on compassion, this analysis will provide examples and definitions resulting in
an explanation of the importance of the concept related to nursing practice. To gain a better
overview of the concept compassion, an extensive search using EBSCOhost Academic Search

Analysis Of The Poem The Wife Of Bath Essay
Analytical Essay on the Wife of Bath.
By Chaucer s time, the antifeminism tradition was very strong and had grown up. Her faith on
marriage is surprising to men, especially during that period of time. She is a skilled woman, and
knows how to defend her views on marriage and sex, in which she blows the idealistic of
antifeminism by interpreting the bible to her benefit. And, when someone in authority disagrees
with her, she relies on her experience. Wife of Bath Tale provides insight and understanding of the
women change and their view mainly in matters of family, marriage, authority and marital affairs.
The Prolog is double the size of her Tale, a lot of information about marriage is given, the position
of women in the society and their quest for control and authority. Wife of Bath can be said to be a
very progressive woman (Minnis, 2008). To start with, her own Prolog has been displayed being
twice the size of Tale. The length Prologue is a clear indication of how much she is being
focused upon and holding a lot of attention and control in the whole Tale. Wife of Bath shares her
information showing that she is a woman of progress and activities as well as the change in her
Tale. She announces about herself that she has already have had five husbands near the holy
grounds of the church place. Giving information and description of how she has mastered the art of
engaging men and handling them in bed and love affairs, The Wife of Bath does not see anything

Reaction Paper On Oppression
Oppression is a topic not discussed as often as it should, maybe it is the fact that it is so real that
it makes people uncomfortable, or it is that people are scared to know that they have been
oppressors at some point in their lives. I like to think that people would try to become better if it
is pointed out that they are doing something wrong. Nevertheless, that is not true for all people, I
believe that most would be willing to re evaluate their lives and make better choices. The lack of
education and acknowledgment of this oppressive cycle is making it harder to prevent it from
recurring. From the government, corporations, and people benefiting from being oppressive, this
cycle will continue until it is forcefully broken by the majority of the population. The discourse
surrounding oppression is viewed relatively negatively in a sense that the general population
looks down on oppression, however, this discourse is unwilling to realize and acknowledge the
history and the institutions that are to blame for this cycle. In this paper I will discuss my
understanding of oppression, power and privilege in relation to oppression, as well as how this
understanding will impact my personal and professional future. The definition of oppression is
something that is complex and can be described in many ways. Some more generally than others,
although all have aspects of what oppression means to them. Oppression as I understand it, is when

Analysis Of The Song Drifting Through The Waves
Amey Kamat Writing 151 Prof. Domitteo November 13, 2014 Drifting Through the Waves
Water has been a main factor through human histories life. Our human body is composed mostly
of water. Water helps our body by regulating the body s temperature, hydrating the body, help
clean the body and help lubricate your bones. People don t know that you can use water for other
purposes such as water rehabilitation. So to top it all off the Song waves by Mr. Probz was a
great edition to this paper. The song Waves is about how a guy that recently broke up with his
girlfriend and he s having trouble forgetting her. At the beginning of the song Mr. Probz wakes up
on a beach right in the shallow part of the water. To me it symbolizes that the beach and water are
there to help patch his wounds by forgetting his girlfriend. So with that water rehabilitation is
mainly used to help build back your strength, endurance, posture, mobility, and many more. Water
rehabilitation is used for major or even the simplest injuries. Injuries and injured parts of your body
tend to use water rehabilitation are ACL/MCL strains, arthritis, chronic pain, neck, shoulder, back,
strokes, knees and neurological disabilities. There have been many athletes that have used water
rehabilitation or aquatic rehab to help rehabilitate their body from major injuries. Aquatic
rehabilitation is one of the most useful types of rehabilitation and can be much more relaxing then

Less Funded Future Leaders of America
How do we fund our schools for the proper education? How do we support our educators to give
the best of their ability for the children? There is a saying You get what you give. If this is to be
true, I would very much like for my daughter to receive the best education with me supporting the
schools as much as possible. I have attended every one of my younger sisters PTA (Parent
Teacher Association) meetings, and befriended all of my daughter s educators to be as involved
in her education as possible. I was conflicted with the lack of school funds epidemic. Since I was
younger our priority to do any extra curriculum that involved the school was to build a fundraiser
and seek sponsorship. This was understandable since our learning curriculum were funded by the
state and was top priority to any spending means. Today Texasschools are attempting to survive the

Break Someone s Heart For Christmas Research Paper
The Time I Decided to Break Someone s Heart for Christmas It was in the middle of December,
close to Christmas. I was with my girlfriend, who is my current ex, and we were breaking up. It
was bitterly cold kind of windy freeze that wasn t necessarily very harsh but still crawled
throughout your skin and shuddered your bone when you weren t prepared. I didn t feel cold
though, I didn t feel anything really but at the same time I felt everything. I could feel the very
pressure coming for the grey and white, sunless overcast sky forcing down its vast emptiness
upon me. I could smell the wind lightly rolling around carelessly, and I breathed it into my heart.
But worst of all my internal perception of my environment was focused so entirely on the

The Era Of America After The Antebellum Period
It is believed that the beginning of a task is often the most important as well as the most difficult,
because it consists of discovering the basis to success with a greater chance of failure. The
establishment of America after gaining independence from Great Britain relied heavily on the
foundations set during the antebellum period, which is often classified as the period of time before
the civil war. During such vital time in American history came a number of fundamental Supreme
Court cases. The outcome of various cases significantly shaped the future of America into the
country we know today. Perhaps some of the most important cases include Marbury v. Madison,
Gibbons v. Ogden, and Dred Scott v. Sandford. McCulloch v. Maryland is possibly the most
prominent Supreme Court case throughout the antebellum period that occurred in 1819, even
though different interpretations of the Necessary and Proper Clause have led to many controversies
regarding its meaning and the potential supreme authority of congress, this landmark case
established that the federal government has certain implied powers under the constitution.
Primarily, individuals who supported the National Bank argued that the bank was essential in
regulating the money distributed by state banks. However, many states wanted nothing concerning
the National Bank in their precincts in fear of state banks being rundown. Citizens that opposed
claimed that Congress did not have the power to establish a National Bank and

Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes
Contraction and Spread of Streptococcus pyogenes
Abstract:
Streptococcus pyogenes is a very common bacteria found in humans. It is very transmissible and
can be caught through the air via coughing or sneezing. This form of Strep. illness is referred to as
Streptococcal pharyngitis, also known as Strep. throat, which can complicate into Scarlet Fever. It
is also possible to be infected through abrasions of the skin, which can result in cellulitis, impetigo,
or even necrotizing fasciitis. Aside from human to human contact, these bacteria can also be found
in unpasteurized milk. There is no vaccine for Streptococcal infections, though antibiotics such as
penicillin still work very well against them.

It is also very transmissible through shaking hands, and handling something that a person with
infected with pyogenes has touched. These are the most common ways to contract Strep. throat.
(2,3)
Also, contraction is very possible through the skin via abrasions both small and large. This type of
infection would be contracted from exposure to other people harboring the bacteria, bacteria in the
air, or bacteria on the injured person. Being infected this way can rarely result in necrotizing
fasciitis. It is also very possible, albeit very rare, that Streptococcus pyogenes can be transmitted
through food, most notably milk and its products. This form of infection is usually caused by
improper or lack of pasteurization of the milk. The bacteria that are responsible hardly ever come
from an outside source, and are usually present within the cow when infected milk is produced.
However, these two other methods of transmission are far less likely than the usual human to
human respiratory infections. (6,2,1)
After the bacteria are first taken into the body, there is an incubation period of between one and five
days. During incubation the bacteria are very capable of infected others without the host having any
knowledge of an infection. This is important in the spread of Strep. infections, which will often
occur through contact between children while at school. It is no mistake that the

Nietzsche s Essay On The Genealogy Of Morals
The Genealogy of Morals
Friedrich Nietzsche, born in 1844, was a German philosopher, cultural critic, poet, and Latin and
Greek scholar who has greatly influenced Western philosophy and modern intellectual history. He
was well known for his writings because of their attacks on society. Nietzsche s writings have
influenced many authors and philosophers.
The Genealogy of Morals consists of a preface and three essays interrelated. These essays are used
to get Nietzsche s point across that morality in not all genetic, but that society plays a big part in
one s moral code. In his writings, he uses examples that fit each attack on society.
In the Preface, Nietzsche states that the Russian novelist Dostoyevsky is the only person who has

Nietzsche defines guilt and punishment as a form of a debt owed and a way of securing debt. The
rise of slave morality gave these moral concepts present meaning. However, bad conscience is our
tendency to see ourselves as sinners which originates from the development of society to inhibit our
animal instincts for aggression and cruelty and to turn them inward upon ourselves. If humans did
not have a conscience, they would do whatever they want to without thinking.
The concept of guilt is related to the concept of debt. If an autonomous individual inflicts pain on
another individual as result of anger, they will feel that they would owe the individual for the pain
they caused. (debt) The individual might choose form of punishment that the autonomous
individual must endure. Nietzsche states that punishment is just a way to secure payment.
In his third essay, What do ascetic ideals mean? Nietzsche Brings to light the meaning of ascetic
ideals. He explains the meaning through three different perspectives, the artist, philosopher, and the
priest. From the artist s perspective, the ideal means nothing or too many. Nietzsche selects
Richard Wagner a German composer as example. Artist s always require some ideology to
motivate themselves. Therefore, we should look to philosophers if we are to get closer to finding
out the meaning of ascetic

proper target intervention. The steps followed in needs assessment include the following:
performing gap analysis, prioritizing the activities according to their importance, identification of
the causes of opportunities and performance and the ultimate identification of solution and growth
opportunities (Unrau et al, 2007). Determining the role of the outcome in the evaluation will help in

Cloning And Its Implications On Human Cloning
Cloning and Its Sociobiological Implications
Picture this: walking down a street and seeing someone who looks exactly like you. They do the
same things as you, act the same way you do, and are exactly alike in several ways. But have
people ever considered the consequences of human cloning if it becomes permitted? Human cloning
might seem like something out of a science fiction novel, but it may someday be possible with
advances in science and technology. This will result in the creation of several ethical and moral
issues for those in the field of genetics. Cloning of a human is a great accomplishment in itself; in
fact, it can be deemed as an achievement of which people could have only dreamt of in their
dreams. Cloning can be considered a trite in the field of medicine as it has a lot of benefits such as;
curing cancer, reversing heart attack, and curing genetic diseases, etc. Although, potential of
medical accidents in cloning is grossly overstated, the cloning of human beings should not be
prohibited.
The cloning era established its root when a sheep named Dolly was manufactured in 1996. She
was cloned using somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). Since in her case the nucleus was removed
from a mammary gland cell she was named after Dolly Parton (Smith). Even though Dolly s birth
was a milestone in the engineering of animals for food and medicine, many people were disturbed
with the thought of human cloning, hence; religious, political, and scientific leaders condemned

Marketing Theories Applied, And Calculations Essay
Marketing Theories Applied, and Calculations Return on Investment with Social Media
Marketing While these mobile opportunities were enticing, Ms. Bornstein still had to make a
business case to Suliteanu. It would be necessary to define key metrics to measure the success
of social media, video, and mobile for 2011 and beyond, as part of her long term strategy for
Sephora s online media spending. To measure its return on investment, Ms. Bornstein reviewed a
Third Party Social Media Evaluation Framework (Ofek Wagonfield, 2012, Exhibit 14). Using
this framework, Ms. Bornstein could measure the current investments Sephora was making in
its social media and make three key arguments in her proposal. First, Sephora successfully
generated a wide range of interactions with its social media (See Appendix, Exhibit 1).
According to the third party, consumers could be sorted into three categories based on their
levels of engagement: Advocates, Followers, and Searchers. Using a conversion rate, Sephora
can see clearly that its social media participants turned into buyers. Ms. Bornstein must direct her
attention to these metrics as they provide the most straight forward return on investment
numbers for Sephora s social media outlet. Second, Ms. Bornstein already knows the value of its
Facebook followers. Sephora entered the Facebook scene in 2008 by creating a Facebook Fan

It can then be deduced from the above statement that, there is a connection between the two of them
and this connection has a capacity to melt the snow, though both parties are unstable, and
emotionally distant from each other, but whenever Shimamura sees Komako he loves her.
Likewise, when both are apart, then winter comes again, which brings coldness, then isolation sets
in them. The togetherness brings warmth and intimacy, while the distance apart between them
brings sadness, loneliness which indirectly makes the word Snow Country to be a metaphor.
Therefore, what is happening in Snow Country as a place externally, reflects what is happening in
these characters internally. Moreover, Snow Country happening internally in the lives of these
characters, especially Shimamura and Komako, is revealed in many ways. For instance, Komako
falls in love with Shimamura, but it is expected of a geisha not to have any serious, extended
romance with her guest. An affair of the moment, no more. Nothing beautiful about it. You know
that it couldn t last (22). Nevertheless, she broke into tears because Shimamura disappointed her
when he came the first time. ...he had not written to her, or come to see her, or sent her the dance
instructions he had promised (15). This is purely emotional and

Citizen Kane And The American Dream
Citizen Kane and the American Dream No one can sum up a man s life into one word. This was a
thought intriguingly an idea in the film that still resonates today in our society. Citizen Kane
(1941) is an important film that reflected society s false belief of the American Dream during its
time. The film was directed and starred by Orson Wellesand tells a story of a man name Charles
Foster Kane, who had everything and who lived an ideal life that everyone wanted to have.
However, having many fine possessions of things and a great deal amount of money at his
disposal, did not make him happy. The film reflects on Mr. Kane s life before his death and his
legacy. Citizen Kaneshows how during the era, people wanted to have financial security,
happiness and to gain material success. Although the American Dream is still something people
want today, Citizen Kane shows how attaining the American Dream was something less of a
dream during its era. The film also show the changes of the American Dream from dream to
myth and explores the dark side of the held belief. The term American Dream was first coined in
1931 by James Truslow Adams. The term is defined as, anyone in America can gain wealth and
status as long as he or she worked hard, regardless of their social status. For instance, in one of the
most significant scene, it showed a young Charles Foster Kane playing outside in the snow with his
sled, while his mother watches him from inside the boarding house. In this

Resident Evil 6 Research Paper
Resident Evil 6, its a hard one to start with, as all know the game features 3 campaigns that feels
like 3 different types of genres all packed in tightly together, you dont have to play them in any
particular order, though the story do cross over with one another same time, different characters,
different area and the worse part of them all different gameplay with different enemies, i will try to
explain with out spoiling any story for the few that didn t play this game.
Leon Campaign: With his new partner, pay attention how hard they try at scaring you with the dark
settings of the game and less ammo with some difficulty, they brought back the creativity of

This campaign felt like the best one out of them all.
After completing the game you will unlock the Ada campaign, like Resident Evil 4 and the Ada
campaign showing how she helped out Leon and Ashley, or Resident Evil 5 and the Jill campaign
showing how she made it out, this one is no different, it short, but consist of enough to show you
what Ada was up to while you were unfolding the story.
The Ada campaign also felt like the hardest campaign, not particularly fun at least it was not for
me, all in all we have the same classic zombie enemy is mostly in the Leon campaign with some
in the other campaigns, with the zombie dogs other then that, all the enemies you will fight
against is freaking weird, especially the boss fights, that ranges from a man that turns into a giant
beast dog and then finally into a giant T Rex, not to forget about the giant shark like thing in a
sewer like area, the only boss fight that feels fitting on this tittle is the one in the campaign of Jake
the Ustanak which is basically a walking tank, you will fight him in multiple occasions well mostly

Narrative Essay About Disneyland
My summer was really great this year, we went to Disneyland for my brother and I s birthday. It
was a really long drive to get to the Disney hotel that we were staying at, but it was totally worth
the wait though. While we were driving we saw a bunch of beautiful and fascinating things. We
left earlier in the Morning so we got to see the sunrise, and let me tell you, it was amazing, one of
the prettiest things I had ever seen. We stopped by a few places at the beginning of our trip so
we could pick up some snacks to eat on the way. My brother, Kristopher, fell asleep within the
first hour we were driving. I was listening to music, looking out the window, and snacking on a
small bag of Takis. My dad surprised us on the way when we went to go eat pizza from Little
Caesars. I know that doesn t sound like much of a surprise but I absolutely love Little Caesars
pizza. I probably like it more than most people to be honest. We finished most of our pizza
taking the leftover pieces with us back to the car. I was feeling pretty tired so I dozed off while
listening to Shawn Mendes. I woke up to a louder song blasting through my headphones. I
turned down my volume and switched the song. I checked my Google Maps and it said that we
were about halfway to the park. After than I checked my Snapchat and opened a Snap from
Gabby. The bright pink words across a picture of her and her sister read, Can t wait to get to
Florida! I quickly take a picture of myself with my Florida, Lifeguard

Descriptive Essay On Bohttac Garden
A long, cement paved path led me to a green well painted gate, which separated the tranquility of
the Botanic Gardens, which lay on the east side of the rowdy University of California Riverside
Campus. On a mission to learn more about the Gardens and all it has to offer, I scheduled to meet
up with Pam Ferre, an Administrative Assistant, who knew a significant amount of information
about the Gardens. We agreed to meet up at Schneider House, but as I walked through I lost
myself in the beauty that nature here had to offer causing me to lose track of the asphalt road that
should have directed me to our meet up destination. The UCR Botanic Gardens is composed of 40
acres, of which thriving plantand animal species call their home. Knowing how enormous the
Gardens are, I cell phoned Pam instead of struggling to find my way through the several
footpaths. Finally, we gathered at the turtle pond where Pam approached me with a smile,
dressed in a flowing white blouse, round black sunglasses, and stylish hiking sandals, an outfit
fit for the 100 degree weather. Underneath the canopy of the Sequoia Sempervirens, trees which
towered several feet high, we sat on a stone bench. From our point we overlooked a pond in
which three medium sized turtles rested on a small log which had fallen from a tree near by. As
the birds chirped soothing tunes above us and lizards zigzagged across the dirt path Pam began to
tell me about UCR s Botanic Gardens. Well, my first question is for you Pam.

The Relationship Between Revolution, State Reform, And...
The relationships between revolution, state reform, and industrialization came in a succession
form. The ideas that were brought to light during the revolutions later defined how the states
were reformed. The reformed states would later take on industrialization. During the American
and French Revolutions some ideas were brought up that later defined the state formations. The
idea of popular sovereignty allowed for states to become more democratic. This idea to allow the
people to have some authority over the sovereign was brought about by John Locke. People
wanted freedom, individual freedom to be exact. In terms of political and legal equality, the idea
was that all individuals would be equal under the law. State reformation began through acquiring
independence. Independence was acquired by means of war and conflict. There was later
American, Haitian, Brazilian, and Mexican independence. For the Haitian Revolution, a slave
revolt broke out and was led by a man named Toussaint L Ouverture. Mexico became independent
due to Napoleon invading Spain and weakening the royal control of the colonies and the
independence movement led by SimГіn Bolivar. Pedro the King s son agreed to an independent
Brazil. Industrialization began through new inventions and use of material. Coal replaced the use
of wood. Some of the new inventions included the fluttering shuttle, spinning mule, water driven
power loom, steam power, and different modes of transportation. Social classes were formed,

International Trade As A Tool For International Business

Therefore companies are able to benefit through e commerce by overcoming capital and
infrastructure limitations (Daniels, Radebaugh, Sullivan, 2015). Furthermore, there are additional
benefits of using Websites like alibaba .com such as being an improved mechanism for trade by
making information readily available and inexpensive. Therefore by creating a direct service to
international traders, gives companies the opportunities to grow in addition to an even playing
field among competitors. Although there are a good deal of benefits associated with international
trade using the internet there are still some things to watch for in which companies looking to use
websites like alibaba.com for their trade needs should look for. For example, Alibaba s reputation
among US consumers has been poor, including an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. The
low rating is due to Alibaba s failure to respond to 79 complaints against its businesses, including
Alibaba.com and AliExpress, BBB s ratings report said (Whitehouse, 2014). Over the last three
years the BBB has received 240 complaints about Alibaba with about half with problems pertaining
to product and service (BBB, 2016). Furthermore, as stated in (Meltzer, 2014) there are barriers

Quaid e Azam made it clear to the mission that the Muslim lion s share regions ought to be

India has never been a symbol of unity of Hindu Muslim civilization. It is not possible for the
British Government to create homogeneity between Hindu and Muslim culture and civilization as
the two systems are distinctively opposed to each other. There is no way other than the partition of

The most dynamic individual from the mission was Sir Stafford Cripps who straightforwardly

Suggested Answers to Discussion Questions
1.1The value of information is the difference between the benefits realized from using that
information and the costs of producing it. Would you, or any organization, ever produce
information if its expected costs exceeded its benefits? If so, provide some examples. If not, why
not? Most organizations produce information only if its value exceeds its cost. However, there are
two situations where information may be produced even if its cost exceeds its value. a. It is often
difficult to estimate accurately the value of information and the cost of producing it. Therefore,
organizations may produce information that they expect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

1.4How do an organization s business processes and lines of business affect the design of its
AIS? Give several examples of how differences among organizations are reflected in their AIS. An
organization s AIS must reflect its business processes and its line of business. For example: *
Manufacturing companies will need a set of procedures and documents for the production cycle;
non manufacturing companies do not. * Government agencies need procedures to track separately
all inflows and outflows from various funds, to ensure that legal requirements about the use of
specific funds are followed. * Financial institutions do not need extensive inventory control
systems. * Passenger service companies (e.g., airlines, bus, and trains) generally receive payments
in advance of providing services. Therefore, extensive billing and accounts receivable procedures
are not needed; instead, they must develop procedures to account for prepaid revenue. *
Construction firms typically receive payments at regular intervals, based on the percentage of work
completed. Thus, their revenue cycles must be designed to track carefully all work performed and

The Downside Of Downsizing Analysis
According to the article, The Downside of Downsizing, Caela Farren, points out that companies
no longer have loyalty to their workers; therefore, it is no surprise that workers no longer look
to remain in jobs long term. Farren also believes that companies need to look beyond the bottom
line and see that it is the human factor that makes the company successful (Farren, 2008).
Receiving notice that your position will be impacted by a reduction in force, downsizing, or
outsourcing, regardless of what it is called, it has the same effect and that is a loss of
employment and security. Reports of job loss in 2015 indicate that close to180,000 people have
been eliminated by mass layoffs from large companies. The news reports that there are more cuts
still to come before year end. What is causing all these people to lose their jobs? Bankruptcies,
restructuring, divestitures to focus on mainstay products, and reduction in federal budgets have all
been listed as reasons for the job losses (Zillman, 2015).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biggest difference between these two is that off shoring indicates that jobs are leaving the
U.S. and being assumed by foreign entities. This is the case that occurred to the accounting
employees at the Toys R Us headquarters earlier in 2015. Temporary workers from India were
brought in to learn and document the processes of American accountants. Once these tasks were
completed, the Toys R Us employees in New Jersey were laid off and their jobs were assumed in
India. This was accomplished under a temporary work visa program that was designed by
Congress. However, it was meant to bring foreigners with unique skills to help American companies
grow, not to take jobs away from Americans and move them to other countries (Preston,

Given the changes in atmosphere and various weather and atmospheric events on various stages, we will be looking at including various map wide effects that slow or stop towers due to events on the stages. The major events we are currently thinking about are blizzards, lightning storms, and volcanic activity. Blizzards, on stage 1, can cause a slowing or complete stop of towers and enemies found on the stage as mobility can be locked down or limited to prevent damage to central machinery. Lightning storms, on stage 2 and 4, can cause short term damage to what is hit, and possibly power fluctuations in mechanical foes and towers causing a stall in the unit /tower s work. Volcanic activity, on stage 4, can be distant and result in the falling of hot flakes of debris and ash. It could also be a lockdown or clearing of parts of the level dependent on how we feel we need to balance the game at those points. Another possible effect would be, on stage 5, meteor showers and other objects falling onto the surface causing damage or alterations to the map itself. 7. Final Game Mechanics (Note: Subject to change during actual development to account for things like balancing and fun factor) (Author: Scott Lump with entire group s input) The mechanics driving our game are fairly simplistic. Joe didn t immediately accept the invitation, because in some way, he was feeling a bit intimidated by the remark Bill had previously made concerning, the proposed reduction being offered by the competitors. Joe is undecided at this point into he should accept the offer, or pass. It also appears that Joe Company is aware of the relationship between Joe and Bill, something they have not tried to intervene, because of the pass contract negation Joe reduced the price and won the bid however, it was not without consequences for him. I feel the predicament Joe is facing, is will this invitation border on conflict of interest, and if so how can I ethical continue with the contract renewal negotiations? How should Joe respond to Bill s invitation? We have come to understand that Joe and Bill have had an excellent working relationship, which has been going on since the previous year. During this time a contract was agreed upon, Joe and Bill maintained a social relationship as well. It was not till recently with contract renewal has the business aspect affected their social interactions. • 4. Examples Of Dehumanization In Night By Elie Wiesel Elie Wiesel uses Rhetorical question and Metaphor to demonstrate the effects of dehumanization. Wiesel uses a Rhetorical Question to demonstrate that dehumanization causes people to not care whether they live or die. For example Eliezer states that it would not matter when he died: Here or else where what difference did it make? To die today or tomorrow, or later? The night was long and never ending (Wiesel 72). This quotation demonstrates that it did not matter when he died because he knew it was going to happen and Eliezer was careless. The use of the words die today or tomorrow, or later implies that No matter what day it is either way he will eventually die. Fastball s Loss Of Self-Confidence Skills The reason I am writing to you, all involved with the league s management, is for you to alter the position you take on pushing the players harder and making them be able to play competitively. I ask you, respectfully, to contemplate about how many valuable players we have and how to bring out their full potential. It appears to be that the players are lacking motivational and many skill causing them to suffer defeat in many of their games.. Envision that you are in the last inning of the game and the opponent has chance to up your score. You want to make sure the hitter doesn t make contact with the ball and to make your team proud of you. You know that the batter is unable to hit curve balls, but you can t throw one. You lose your self confidence and throw a fastball hoping he would miss it. Unfortunately, they hit and score, and your team return home with another loss in their hands. • 6. Exploring The Role Of Hearing Loss In The 1940 s Hearing serves a crucial benefit for understanding the world around us. During the 1940 s, Dr. Ramsdell realized that hearing serves four crucial function; symbolically we are informed or entertained, aesthetically hearing is naturally pleasing, warningly we are alerted or prepared, primitively we are aware of our surroundings [1]. The earis typically divided into three sections, used to simplify the hearing process. The first section, or the outer ear, is composed of the auricle (skin covered cartilage), the auditory canal, and the tympanic membrane (the outer layer of the eardrum). The middle ear section contains the eardrum, tympanic cavity, and the ossicles. These ossicles are three small bones often referred to as malleus (hammer),... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to HearingLoss.org, more one in every five Americans suffer from some form of hearing loss, that s about 50 million Americans. By the age of 65, 1/3 of all Americans suffer from hearing loss [5]. Because of the large size of affected patients, developing and improving hearing correctional methods is an ever growing and advancing field of study. While there exist several solutions to a wide variety hearing problems, we are going to discuss Middle Ear Replacements in this report. Middle Ear Implants and replacements aim to correct sensorineural hearing issues. Often times, patients will elect to receive a middle ear implant instead of dealing with the expense and hassle of traditional hearing aids. Recently, the FDA has approved a middle ear transducer implant called the Vibrant Sound bridge. The Sound bridge operates by connecting a Floating Mass Transducer to the incus (anvil) bone. This transducer is connected to external audio processor that is discretely attached externally above the ear. When the external processor receives a soundwave, a signal is transmitted to the internal transducer. The transducer then vibrates in such a way that mimics natural middle ear amplifications ... • 7. The Influence of the US and USSR in the... During the period following World War 2.The new Zionist movement of Jews immigrating to the Middle East to establish a homeland for all Jews in what was now Israel after being displaced for many years. This led to conflict between the Arabs and the Jews about who had rights to this homeland, with both the Arab Muslims and the Jewish Israelis having biblical claims to the cities in the Middle East. This conflict was further fuelled by both the USA and the USSR as they were trying to spread their sphere of influence by supplying aid in the form of weapons, ammunition and support to gain access to valuable resources and water ways. However their involvement was not a direct factor leading to the conflict between Israeland the Arab states but rather prolonging it by supplying tools of war. To begin with the USA had strong interests in the Middle East due to its resource rich lands and strategic importance in the world and would secure these aims by aligning themselves with Israel to land a foothold in the Middle East. The USA had strong interests in the Middle East for two main reasons the first being oil. The USA has always put its sources of oil on a priority. So when the Middle East became unstable the USA s first goal was to secure its source of oil. Secondly was the strategic location of Middle East being the link between three continents and home to the Suez Canal a vital shipping route from the Mediterranean to the Red sea. The USA also wanted to solidify the capitalist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Crucifixion By Brecht Durer Analysis Brecht Durer once said, What beauty is, I know not, though it adheres to many things. Brecht Durer was a German painter, print maker, and theorist who was born on May 21, 1471 and died on April 6, 1528 in Nuremberg, Germany. His extensive work in printmaking established his reputation in Europe, making him one of the leading artists of the Renaissanceperiod. A print is a work of art made up of ink on paper and existing in multiple examples. Durer s woodcut prints often depicted religious subjects and revealed technical skills that had never before been seen. Woodcut is a technique in printmakingwhere the artist carves images from a piece of wood. Then it is covered with a thin layer of ink so the carved parts remain ink less. The species spends the northern summers in the colder regions of Eurasia and North America. It migrates to the southern hemisphere during the northern winter. The Arctic tern breeds between May and July in the Arctic and subarctic regions of Asia, North America and Europe, as far south as Massachusetts. The Arctic tern has the K reproductive strategy because it only lays two eggs a year, each with a high probability of survival into adulthood. The population size generally stays the same and equal throughout the age demographics, a common characteristic of K reproductive strategists. When the Arctic tern enters the southern hemisphere, summer starts over and temperatures stay mild and within the tern s range of tolerance. Most Arctic terns spend the first month of their migration in the north Atlantic ocean eating and collecting energy for the long trip ahead. Some migrations have been over 44,000 miles long round trip, with the birds rarely stopping for rest and food. The specific reason these animals migrate so far is widely unknown, although it is assumed for survival or breeding purposes. Some scientists suggest that it s because of the rich [polar] feeding grounds that they travel so far. If the migrations performed by this organism were to stop, the population would decrease rapidly because the temperatures in either one of their habitats will drop so low that they will be outside the Arctic tern s limits of tolerance and the birds would freeze to death. Arctic terns also provide a great source of pest control when they eat insects and worms during their migrations. This would then be lost if the Arctic tern stopped migrating. The Arctic tern has an annual mortality rate of 18%, according to a study in the Farne Islands. Over 50% of the species will live past their 30th birthday, with an average lifespan of 20 years, an anomaly for birds, who normally live between 2 and 5 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Post traumatic Stress Disorder Millions of people suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and struggle to find an effective treatment option. Many people have the misconception that only our veterans have this condition but in actuality over 8% of the Unites States population have this mental illness. Researchers have been trying to study and determine what the best treatment options are. Patients can get confused and frustrated in trying to find a treatment that will fit their needs and gives them the best opportunity and chance of recovery. Patients may also be hesitant to talk about the original event especially in the case of rape or sexual abuse. General Practitioners (GPs) often are not well trained in this type of mental illness and are not aware of treatment options. And many patients suffer from co morbidities. (Wright, 2013) One of the biggest obstacles in treating PTSD is the high prevalence of co morbidities. Co morbidity is the presence of two or more chronic diseases or conditions in a patient. A study conducted in Australia found that at least half of the people with PTSD have moderate depression, while generalized anxiety disorder was present in a 40% of men and 22% of women sufferers. (Wright, 2014). This study also found a close link between PTSD patients and substance abuse; it was found that over 30% of people who suffer from PTSD also suffer from substance abuse. (Wright, 2014) Co morbidities can make treatment very difficult since it s not the PTSD alone that may need treatment; it s a series of issues. For example, a patient with PTSD who also suffers from substance abuse needs two different kinds of treatment. Multiple kinds of treatment may take more time and effort in order to get multiple conditions under control. Ideally a patient needs to find a provider who can help with all his/her mental health conditions and a treatment that addresses them holistically. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Comparing Gilgamesh And The Biblical Flood For centuries skeptics have questioned the authenticity of a great flood that covered the Earth. First mentioned in the Genesis account, a great flood has also been reported in other ancient writings such as the story of The Epic Gilgamesh from the Sumerian civilization. Ever since the Gilgamesh text finding in the mid nineteenth century, questions have arisen about the connection these stories could have with each other. The question is if one has historical truth and the other is based on it, or if both stories were drawn from the same mythology. However, deeper comparison of Gilgamesh to the Flood of Noah shows that it is extremely unlikely that the Biblical account of the flood is taken from the Sumerian text. While the two narratives similarly depict a global flood, the contradicting details of the stories and opposing world views indicate that the account of Noah is not reliant upon the story of Gilgamesh. Due to this fact, the differences and similarities between the Epic of Gilgameshand biblical flood can be perceived by analyzing the plot details, the main hero,... Genesis 7:11 describes this phenomenon by saying how, all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens are opened (Gen. 7:11). There is a more significant amount of water being supplied to create the flood in Genesis than there is during the six day rain episode in the Epic of Gilgamesh. (2008) articulates a framework in which firm resources and capabilities are viewed as one of three antecedents of a firm s international business strategy (the other two being industry based competition and institutional conditions and transitions). Thus, the current literature sheds light only on how the capabilities of MNEs enable them to formulate appropriate strategic choices that match their resources with opportunities in their external, that is, their global, environment. However, mechanisms that ensure successful implementation of the chosen strategies remain unclear. While we assume that MNEs should be able to establish appropriate structures to match their strategies, research has shown that there is a lot of incongruence between MNE strategy and structure (Duysters and Hagedoorn 2001). There are many people who prefer a nursing mother to hide in the bathroom or sit in her car while nursing, rather feeding her baby when he or she may get hungry, It is not always convenient for a mother to hide when she has a hungry, fussy baby in her arms. • 16. The Process Of Making And Changing Laws Varies Throughout... Mid Term #2 Prompt 1 The process of making and changing laws varies throughout regions, cultures and religions. This trend applies to all religions, no matter how similar they may appear. Take for example, Catholicism and Judaism; religions that share common traits in beliefs, customs and law. These similarities may lead people to believe their legal process of legal change is also cognate, but that is not the case. Although their process of legal change may appear as similar, the key differences are highlighted through the legislators and the necessity of deriving law from an authoritative text. The factors that affect these differences relate to the structure of the organization, the governing body, and the purpose behind the creation of religious law in each system. Judaism s and Catholicism s legal process are alike in many different ways. For example, although rabbinic responsa and papal decretals seem completely different in definition, they share common characteristics. Responsa is defined as the answers to questions submitted by someone having communal authority to someone having greater communal authority ( Law and religion in Judaism , 46) The community asks questions regarding law, and the rabbis, an authoritative source, reply with a binding answer. On the other hand, papal decretals are laws and rules issued by the pope. The denotation of these processes sound completely different, but their similarity lies in the nature of papal decretals. Friedman views the consumer as strong and is totally interested in efficiency. He does note however the FDA had done a good job of keeping us from harmful medication. These were included, but not limited to false advertising, false retail advertising, credit regulations, credit cards, labeling, truth in lending and deceptive retail practices. These authors view the consumer relatively weak due to a lack of knowledge. They also feel the low incomes are no match for the sophisticated marketer. There these authors are interested in equity. The most important implication derives from the lack of information demonstrated by all income segments of the consumer sample. This situation suggests that what is needed is not more and tougher laws, but rather more information made available to ore individuals concerning their rights as consumers. The present research has demonstrated that one other variable is important: with the exception of a few areas of the law, both consumers and attorneys know very little about their rights as consumers. Human cloning might seem like something out of a science fiction novel, but it may someday be possible with advances in science and technology. This will result in the creation of several ethical and moral issues for those in the field of genetics. Cloning of a human is a great accomplishment in itself; in fact, it can be deemed as an achievement of which people could have only dreamt of in their dreams. Cloning can be considered a trite in the field of medicine as it has a lot of benefits such as; curing cancer, reversing heart attack, and curing genetic diseases, etc. Although, potential of medical accidents in cloning is grossly overstated, the cloning of human beings should not be prohibited. The cloning era established its root when a sheep named Dolly was manufactured in 1996. She was cloned using somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). Since in her case the nucleus was removed from a mammary gland cell she was named after Dolly Parton (Smith). Even though Dolly s birth was a milestone in the engineering of animals for food and medicine, many people were disturbed with the thought of human cloning, hence; religious, political, and scientific leaders condemned ... We realized that it is hard to use bottom up approach to invest by looking into a particular stock to invest. Right now, we are trying to use top down approach to invest in our portfolio. Top down approach is a method of analysis that involves looking at the big picture first, and then analyzing the details of sector or industry then towards the company or stocks. • 40. Marketing Theories Applied, And Calculations Essay Marketing Theories Applied, and Calculations Return on Investment with Social Media Marketing While these mobile opportunities were enticing, Ms. Bornstein still had to make a business case to Suliteanu. It would be necessary to define key metrics to measure the success of social media, video, and mobile for 2011 and beyond, as part of her long term strategy for Sephora s online media spending. To measure its return on investment, Ms. Bornstein reviewed a Third Party Social Media Evaluation Framework (Ofek Wagonfield, 2012, Exhibit 14). Using this framework, Ms. Bornstein could measure the current investments Sephora was making in its social media and make three key arguments in her proposal. First, Sephora successfully generated a wide range of interactions with its social media (See Appendix, Exhibit 1). According to the third party, consumers could be sorted into three categories based on their levels of engagement: Advocates, Followers, and Searchers. Using a conversion rate, Sephora can see clearly that its social media participants turned into buyers. Ms. Bornstein must direct her attention to these metrics as they provide the most straight forward return on investment numbers for Sephora s social media outlet. Second, Ms. Bornstein already knows the value of its Facebook followers. Sephora entered the Facebook scene in 2008 by creating a Facebook Fan Page. By 2009, it had 300,000 followers and by September 2010, it had 812,000. Based on the analysis of an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The expression does not mean where snow falls. Though a place, Y. Kawabata, the writer of the novel writes in such a way that it portrays more about loveaffair, human feelings, emotions, loneliness, and a state of a human in isolation. Likewise, the novel reveals how human relationship can be complex and difficult at times to understand. It tells about people in a relationship of love, trying to love, and connect to one another, but difficult to connect. It can then be deduced from the above statement that, there is a connection between the two of them and this connection has a capacity to melt the snow, though both parties are unstable, and emotionally distant from each other, but whenever Shimamura sees Komako he loves her. Likewise, when both are apart, then winter comes again, which brings coldness, then isolation sets in them. The togetherness brings warmth and intimacy, while the distance apart between them brings sadness, loneliness which indirectly makes the word Snow Country to be a metaphor. Therefore, what is happening in Snow Country as a place externally, reflects what is happening in these characters internally. Moreover, Snow Country happening internally in the lives of these characters, especially Shimamura and Komako, is revealed in many ways. For instance, Komako falls in love with Shimamura, but it is expected of a geisha not to have any serious, extended romance with her guest. An affair of the moment, no more. • 44. Narrative Essay About Disneyland My summer was really great this year, we went to Disneyland for my brother and I s birthday. It was a really long drive to get to the Disney hotel that we were staying at, but it was totally worth the wait though. While we were driving we saw a bunch of beautiful and fascinating things. We left earlier in the Morning so we got to see the sunrise, and let me tell you, it was amazing, one of the prettiest things I had ever seen. We stopped by a few places at the beginning of our trip so we could pick up some snacks to eat on the way. My brother, Kristopher, fell asleep within the first hour we were driving. I was listening to music, looking out the window, and snacking on a small bag of Takis. My dad surprised us on the way when we went to go eat pizza from Little Caesars. I know that doesn t sound like much of a surprise but I absolutely love Little Caesars pizza. I probably like it more than most people to be honest. We finished most of our pizza taking the leftover pieces with us back to the car. I was feeling pretty tired so I dozed off while listening to Shawn Mendes. I woke up to a louder song blasting through my headphones. I turned down my volume and switched the song. I checked my Google Maps and it said that we were about halfway to the park. On a mission to learn more about the Gardens and all it has to offer, I scheduled to meet up with Pam Ferre, an Administrative Assistant, who knew a significant amount of information about the Gardens. We agreed to meet up at Schneider House, but as I walked through I lost myself in the beauty that nature here had to offer causing me to lose track of the asphalt road that should have directed me to our meet up destination. The UCR Botanic Gardens is composed of 40 acres, of which thriving plantand animal species call their home. Knowing how enormous the Gardens are, I cell phoned Pam instead of struggling to find my way through the several footpaths. Finally, we gathered at the turtle pond where Pam approached me with a smile, dressed in a flowing white blouse, round black sunglasses, and stylish hiking sandals, an outfit fit for the 100 degree weather. Underneath the canopy of the Sequoia Sempervirens, trees which towered several feet high, we sat on a stone bench. From our point we overlooked a pond in which three medium sized turtles rested on a small log which had fallen from a tree near by. As the birds chirped soothing tunes above us and lizards zigzagged across the dirt path Pam began to tell me about UCR s Botanic Gardens. Well, my first question is for you Pam. ... • 46. The Relationship Between Revolution, State Reform, And... The relationships between revolution, state reform, and industrialization came in a succession form. The ideas that were brought to light during the revolutions later defined how the states were reformed. The reformed states would later take on industrialization. During the American and French Revolutions some ideas were brought up that later defined the state formations. The idea of popular sovereignty allowed for states to become more democratic. This idea to allow the people to have some authority over the sovereign was brought about by John Locke. People wanted freedom, individual freedom to be exact. In terms of political and legal equality, the idea was that all individuals would be equal under the law. State reformation began through acquiring independence. Independence was acquired by means of war and conflict. There was later American, Haitian, Brazilian, and Mexican independence. For the Haitian Revolution, a slave revolt broke out and was led by a man named Toussaint L Ouverture. Mexico became independent due to Napoleon invading Spain and weakening the royal control of the colonies and the independence movement led by SimГіn Bolivar. Pedro the King s son agreed to an independent Brazil. Industrialization began through new inventions and use of material. Coal replaced the use of wood. Some of the new inventions included the fluttering shuttle, spinning mule, water driven power loom, steam power, and different modes of transportation. Social classes were formed, ...
