followed by measuring dioxygen uptake. The rate constant of oxidation reaction
showed a linear dependence on catalyst concentration and saturation kinetics in both

have been determined using Michaelis Menten approach. A mechanism has been

I believe Frances Zefferilli s version of Shakespeare s Hamlet, made in 1990, is one
of the best versions of the play to be put onto screen. The film, starring Mel Gibson
as Hamlet, and Glen Close as Queen Gertrude, takes a different look to the play.
Zefferilli explores the physiological stability of Hamlet very well, especially in Act
3, Scene 4. My interpretation of that scene in the text was different to the one given in

committing this crime, plays an important role in framing the theme of Wolff s work.
Wolff uses literary strategies such as imagery and extreme detail to pull the reader
into the story, lock in their attention, and relate the symbolism and emotion of what s
happening. These devices have a great effect on the story. In my opinion, the most
important analyzation from Bullet in the Brainis Anders himself. His thoughts and
actions come from a deep dwelling inside him and mean much more than the
superficial words, which structure the story, relay. From the beginning, Wolff
reveals the intelligence and personality of Anders by labeling him as, a book critic
known for the weary, elegant savagery with which he dispatched almost everything
he reviewed (Wolff, 1995, p. 200 206). This is relevant throughout the story as he
continuously degrades other characters with his smart, sarcastic wit. His bold,
irritable sense of humor does not dwindle in the least even at the realization that
the bank he s currently in is being threatened by two armed robbers. It becomes
clear that Anders has no fear of dying when he has to hold back laughter at the
poke of the barrel of a gun pressed to his side. It s not until after the bank robber

Shepard being murdered, and how he became lost in the wake of the movement that

his final thoughts. That is one bit of information that is impossible for someone to
find out no matter how he researches. A person s final thoughts are the most
complex because they are the accumulation of all of one s life and decisions. One

wanted to do differently. The little details are often the most challenging to gather,
and even when they are gathered they can still be difficult to understand. The

Melba Beals Character
Melba Pattillo Beals is the main character in this book. She was fourteen years old
when she attended Central High in Little Rock, Kansas with eight other black
students. While Melba attended the high school, she was spat on, slapped, and
several sickening insults would be shouted at her. These actions led to Melba to
not even fight back but to simply just say thank you and walk away. This was one
of the factors that built up her courageous attitude that stuck with her throughout

I am going to look back at a situation on my unit in the operating room (OR) where I
implemented a change using some of the distinguishing characteristics authentic
leaders posses according to Maria Shirey in 2006. I have worked in the OR for 13
years and have witnessed many changes take place, both good and bad. Our
situation was unique because staffing coverage must be 24 hours due to our level 1
trauma status. The RN s brought forward the current system used for scheduling
during holidays was unfair with no apparent pattern. It was very random with many
of the same RN s working the majority of the holidays. Nurses comments ranged
from, Why am I always on the major holidays, I never get to spend the holidays with
my family, and the same people are getting the holidays off, why is that?
Management overlooked the fairness for covering the schedule. Holiday coverage is
reduced to two teams and a charge nurse which consists of five staff members,
allowing more staff to be off. Everything was status quo to management until it was
mentioned at a staff meeting with much dissatisfaction.
I was asked by my manager to lead a committee of RN s. She chose the staff to
participate on this committee. The goal was to propose a new system for holiday
scheduling that was fair and systematic. My leader was empowering her staff to
make positive changes; she was encouraging creativity by motivating her followers
(Grossman Valiga, 2013).

procedures are helping, but even with the increased security, there were around 50

Differences between male and female have long been recognized and investigated
to serve as a mean to distinguish between the two sexes. Although the disparities is
undeniable, factors that cause these differences are still a controversial topic as to
whether they are caused by biologically or because of the social perception placed
on the two genders. In this paper, I will try to analyze the differences between male
and femalein: physical strength, cognitive ability, communication and mating and
suggest some daily and administrative application of these dissimilarities.
Physical strength is among the most visible differences between sexes, which is
mainly caused by biological factors rather than social ones. Male and female are
dissimilar in appearance, athletic ability and longevity. Sex hormones account for
most of the differences in appearance (breasts and wider hips in women) and
athletic ability. Research show that testosterone gives men the ability to build larger
muscles and larger hearts. It also supports the production of red blood cells, which

slavery, the government has started to create programs to help certain people and
families overcome other rising issues. The government has been successful in

People would suggest that the government has affected society in a negative way but,

Metamaterials have been a subject of increasing interest due to their ability to
manipulate the flow of EM waves. We analyse the mechanism by which
metamaterials are able to exhibit this property which is exploited to develop the
Harry Potter esque invisibility cloaks. We briefly discuss the whole new branch of
optics called Transformation Optics developed for this purpose, and comment on the
extent to which these materials can cloak.

Metamaterials are artificially designed materials which have properties that cannot
be found in natural materials.[1] They were first theoretically proposed by
Veselago in 1968 as materials having negative permeability and permittivity. This
is why these are also known as Left Handed Materials (LHM) or Negative Refractive
Index materials (NIM). The first discovery in this domain was done by Sir Pendry
et al in 1996, who discovered a wire medium with negative permittivity. This was
followed by other significant discoveries like negative permeability by Pendry in
1999 and LHM by Sir Smith in 2001.
