How To Write A Conclusion Essay
Crafting an essay on the intricacies of writing a conclusion essay may seem deceptively simple at
first glance, but delving into the task reveals the multifaceted nature of the endeavor. The
challenge lies not only in conveying the fundamental principles of conclusion writing but also in
articulating them in a manner that engages and enlightens the reader.
One of the primary complexities stems from the need to strike a delicate balance between
summarizing key points and introducing fresh insights. The conclusion should not merely rehash
the body of the essay but should rather synthesize the information cohesively, offering a new
perspective or a sense of closure. This requires a keen analytical mind to distill the essence of the
essay and present it with clarity.
Furthermore, grappling with the challenge of avoiding redundancy while reinforcing the main
arguments demands a nuanced approach. A conclusion should feel like a natural culmination, not
a repetitive recapitulation. Achieving this finesse involves careful consideration of the language
used, ensuring it remains concise and purposeful without being overly verbose.
Another layer of difficulty arises in the task of crafting a memorable conclusion. The concluding
paragraph is the last impression the reader will have, and as such, it should leave a lasting
impact. This necessitates a certain level of creativity and rhetorical finesse, elevating the
conclusion from a mere summary to a thought-provoking reflection on the essay's themes.
In the process of writing about how to write a conclusion essay, one must also grapple with the
challenge of catering to diverse audiences. Different essays may require different approaches to
crafting conclusions, considering factors such as the subject matter, tone, and intended
readership. Adapting the writing style to suit these variations adds another layer of complexity to
the task.
In conclusion (ironically), writing an essay on how to write a conclusion essay is a task that
demands more than just a cursory understanding of the subject. It requires a nuanced grasp of
rhetorical strategies, analytical thinking, and the ability to tailor the conclusion to the specific
nuances of each essay. Aspiring essayists embarking on this journey must navigate the intricate
terrain of language, synthesis, and creativity to produce a conclusion that truly resonates with the
reader.
If the intricacies of such essays become overwhelming, it's worth noting that there are resources
available. Similar essays and much more can be explored or even ordered through platforms like

Taking a Look at Acid Rain
Acid rain or acid deposition occurs when atmospheric pollutants, namely sulfur
dioxide and nitrogen oxides, combine with water vapour present in the atmosphere.
(Morgan, 1999, p. 3) Acid deposition is a broad term which includes any precipitation
that has a pH deemed to be acidic. When these pollutants, released from the burning of
fossils fuels or the smelting of metal, enter into the atmosphere they combine with
moisture before falling down to Earth. (National Geographic, n.d.) A chemical
reaction then occurs converting these reactants into sulfuric and nitric acid which in
turn will create rain that is acidic. (Petheram, 2003, p. 15) Prior to this, several
reactions must first occur. Sulfur, which is found in nature in a solid state, must
transform into sulfur oxide gas. (Morgan, 1999, p. 35) Sulfur dioxideis often found
from industrial emissions and electricity generation. (Jakuboski, 2011) While it can
be found in nature, it is not found in nearly as conspicuous amounts as it is from
human pollution. In nature it is formed by bonding sulfur oxides with oxygen in the
atmosphere, transforming the sulfur oxides into a gaseous state. Sulfur dioxide gases
will then oxide to create sulfur trioxide. Finally, sulfur trioxide will chemically bond
with moisture in the atmosphere to form sulfuric acid. (Morgan, 1999, p. 34)
Nitrogen, however, remains a different story altogether. Nitrogen monoxide, which
enters into the atmosphere as emissions from vehicles and
Stop And Frisk At The Court Case Of Terry V. Ohio
As crime rates rise, police must come up with new methods to counteract these
increases. Many of these methods come with pros and cons that may affect the way
the public views Police officers and law enforcement in general. Some of these
methods may seem like a violation to people s rights, even though they may be
constitutional. One of these methods known as Stop and Frisk is one of the most
widely debated topics in America when it comes to dealing with Policeactions and
Constitutional rights. Stop and Frisk is the practice by which a police initiates a stop
of an individual on the street based on reasonable suspicionof criminal activity. The
Stop and Frisk policy was adopted from laws in a number of different courts in
America. Under Stop and Frisk, a police officer has the power to stop, question, and
frisk suspects with reason. These questions may determine whether the suspected
person should be detained and investigated. The constitutional requirements of stop
and frisk practices were bought up by the Supreme Court during the court case of
Terry v. Ohio. Before this case, it was illegal for Police Officers to stop someone
and frisk them unless they were being arrested or have a search warrant for that
person. After various cases that tested the constitutional rights of Americans such as
Sibron v. New York, Peters v. New York and Terry v. Ohio, the Supreme Court cane
to the conclusion that police officers can frisk someone without having
The Best Places For Find European Stocks
1. The best places to find European stocks
The stock market may have found its legs within the United States, but its true
spiritual home is without doubt within European borders. European stocks for the
past 100 years have found great success within European exchanges, with several of
them bringing investment opportunities closer to the people. If you are someone who
holds an interest in European stocks, then the following are the exchanges that you
need to place focus on.
London Stock Exchange
Found deep within the heart of London, the London Stock Exchange ranks as the 4th
largest stock exchange in the world and certainly has age and experience on its
side. Founded back in 1801, it s located next to the historic St Paul s Cathedral and
is an international market in almost every sense of the word. At last count there were
more than 3,000 brands from 70 different countries present and accounted for. What
helps make the London Stock Exchange such a haven for European stocks is the fact
that it is open to both upstart and already established markets. The Alternative
Investment Market (AIM) opens its doors to lesser known names and gives them a
platform to openly promote themselves to traders. If you are looking to invest in
European stocks the London Stock Exchange represents a great place to start.
Deutsche Borse
Germany is considered key financial house within Europe, so it is no shock to see
that various European stocks call the country home. Germany s leading stock
Global Warming And Its Effects On Society
Another important fact in Global warming is known for causing more natural
disasters such as floods, wildfires, heat waves, tropical storms, and etc. (Jones,
2010). This seems to me to come into place as common sense if temperatures
escalate, glaciers will melt and as a conclusion, it will possibly make the oceans rise
causing erosion.
Therefore, stated in the article Greenhouse Effect, enlightened numerous lower
regions, mainly experiencing warmer temperatures in their climates (Losev, 2014).
By reading this article I absorbed that it s just not any country, it seems to happen to
underdeveloped countries that have the main effects because they are not dominate
(Kuczynski, Vidal, Li etc., 2011). I have considered that a dominant society compared
to none dominate culture will have the resources to stop these harmful chemicals into
their society before it causes harm to their nation and then into others. Another critical
factor of climate change is pollutions and pollen. As stated by the authors, the rising
temperatures can lead to an extensive season for individuals, meaning extensive
allergy issues (Todea, Suatean, Coman etc., 2013.).
In the article, Melt or Grow? Fate of Himalayan Glaciers Unknown, scientist has
stated that global warming is like a snowball effect, people care, but then reinforce
greenhouse gases, which have been shown to make our earth warmer (Harris,2012).
The effects of warming temperatures are actually taking a big chunk out of our
The Role Of Ruth In The Giver
The LORD bless him! Naomi said to her daughter in law. He has not stopped
showing his kindness to the living and the dead. She added, That man (Boaz) is
our close relative; he is one of our kinsman redeemers (Ruth 2:20). This scripture
exposes Boaz as a candidate to be the kinsman redeemer of Ruth and her deceased
husband s family. From the land of Moab, gleaning in the fields of Boazand to the
threshing floor the story finds its purpose in Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. While
there are so many influential figures in the Bible, I argue that Boaz is of great
importance because of he becomes the kinsman redeemer, he acts in redemption, and
the lineage of Ruth and her deceased husband is carried on all while foreshadowing
Christ and things to come.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boaz has met the qualifications to become the kinsman redeemer, he is blood
relatice of Ruth and he was willing to redeem. Boaz was a male relative of the same
kin, so this made him a possibility to be the kinsman redeemer. Boaz wanted to
redeem the property of Elimelech (Ruth s deceased husband) and Ruth so that it
would restore honor to the family. This was also a gracious act because it saved
Ruth from almost certainly a life of poverty. This shows that the gracious nature of
Boaz makes him an influential figure in the
The Odyssesy by Homer
Epic heroes are usually great leaders and accomplish great deeds and undertake
journeys or quests that usually take place in a wide setting such as the world. The
epic hero is a larger than life person who embodies the highest ideals of his culture
and time period. Also, this type of heroes experience human emotions, yet is able to
master and control these human traits to a greater degree than a typical human. All of
these standard traits were set by Odysseus, the epic hero from the Odyssey, written by
Homer. Odysseus embodies the characteristics of the Greeks at the time such as
Curiosity, sharp intellect, cunningness all throughout the Odyssey to set the standard
for epic heroes for future generations to come.
Out of all of Odysseus traits, his cunningness and ability to be an articulate speaker
is one of the more prominent traits that shines throughout his journey. Through the
odysseys many bumps and battles Odysseus demonstrates his cunningness and
quick thinking at every page. When Odysseus says, My name is Nohbody: mother,
father, friends, everyone calls me Nohbody (Homer 9.360 361). Odysseus shows his
deceptiveness by naming himself Nohbody in future plans of escaping from
Polyphemus. In this situation, Odysseus cunningness helps him to escape and get
back on track to his journey back to Ithaca. The following demonstrates another
example Odysseus persuasiveness: My quiet Penelope how well I know would seem
a shade before your majesty, death and old age
Rheumatoid Arthritis Essay
New criteria for identifying rheumatoid arthritis (RA) earlier in the disease
progression was developed by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR)
and American College of Rheumatology (ACR) in 2010 to allow for earlier
intervention and treatment strategies therefore improving outcomes (Aletaha et al.,
2010; de Hair et al., 2012; Villeneuve, 2013; Wasserman, 2011). This paper will
explore prevention and treatment strategies for Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA).
Rheumatoid Arthritis Prevention Strategies
RA prevention strategies include the implementation of conventional and biologic
disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) (Bykerk Massarotti, 2012,
Heidari, 2011). Conventional DMARDs also known as traditional DMARDs are
intended ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
DMARDs are considered the foundation of treating RA with an aim to achieve
remission, where the patient does not exhibit any signs of the disease within the
body, with early DMARDs initiation demonstrated to be cost effective (Arthritis
Foundation, n.d.; Heidari, 2011; Wasserman, 2011). The early initiation of DMARDs
has shown to reduce progression of radiologic damage such as joint erosions by 60%
(Luime et al., 2016; Wasserman, 2011). Luime et al. (2016) reported treatment
initiation should begin within three to four months of the onset of symptoms and
benefits are dependent on how early treatment is initiated.
In 2015, the ACR conducted a systematic review of the literature evaluating the
benefits and risks of treatment options and established a guideline for initiating
treatments for early diagnosed RA patients defined as having RA symptoms or the
disease for less than six months and for established RA patients defined as having
RA symptoms or the disease for greater than six months or having met the 1987 ACR
RA classification (Singh et al., 2016). Physicians should not consider the guidelines
as prescriptive but a tool for discussion with the patient to determine an appropriate
treatment course considering the patient s wishes and the decision should be shared
between the physician and the patient (Singh et al., 2016). Treatment strategies are
based on each RA patient and are dependent upon disease severity and tolerance of
medications. Typically, a RA patient
Persuasive Essay On Security
Imagine attending a large scale event with the responsibility of a family to look
after. After putting all trust into the security and emergency responders, a
catastrophe, like the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, happens. During the bombing,
three people died and more than 260 were injured (Barlow 1). Recently, in Las
Vegas, an elevated shooter fired down on music festival goers. He killed 58 people
and injuring hundreds (Hudgins 2). Securityat major events should be tightened
because citizens would feel safer, it would prevent many deaths and injuries, and it
could make terrorists think twice before attending.
Since the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, security protocols have increased
dramatically. The police have established what they call a no drone zone , meaning
drones can no longer be flown anywhere on the 26.2 mile course. Police have also
asked spectators to leave backpacks, blankets, shoulder bags, and coolers at home
(Barlow 1). This gives other attendees a sense of comfort and quickens the security
screening. Runners must go through a bag check before they can pick up their
numbers and can no longer leave their bags at the starting line ( Security Tightens
2). The law enforcement has increased their numbers since 2013. Over five
thousand of them will be deployed along the course, including fifteen from the
BUPD (Barlow 2). An abundance of cameras has been added and they are placed on
practically every street corner ( Security Tightens 1). With all of these
Medieval World Syllabus Essay
The syllabus in correspondence with The Medieval World demonstrates a clear
understanding of course expectations and assignments. The student guideline
identifies a variety of assigned course work, outlines the material that will be
discussed in class, and allows the students to develop their own scholarly interests
and goals for the year. The assignments explained within the syllabus include a hand
drawn map of Europe where students are required to label geographic places and
features that are influential in the Middle Ages. In addition, students will be required
to submit note annotations based on primary and secondary sources. The primary
source criteria will instruct students to summarize the text with the identification of
details it contains. Students will also need to provide the historical significance of the
primary source, connecting the text to a larger picture. The secondary source criteria
direct students to structure pages of notes in a template comprised of significant
information based on the text. The last form of an assignment students will complete
are essays composed of compared and contrasted arguments in relation to primary
sources of assigned articles. All assignment submissions will contribute to a student
portfolio which satisfies the University Senate s... Show more content on

Some examples of the course material that will be analyzed in class discussions
consist of early Christianity, the emergence of Islam, the fall of the Roman Empire,
Barbarian Kingship, and Feudalism. Carolingian Europe will also be examined with
a focus on culture, economy, and politics that are post and present to Charlemagne s
rule. Students will learn to think historically through these topics while enhancing
reading and writing skills. The course will conclude with an explanation of how the

Teenage Drivers Requirements Argument Essay
In 2013, more than 2,500 teenagers died in the United States from motor vehicle
crash injuries. Such injuries are by far the leading public health problem for young
people 13 19 years old (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety [IIHS], 2014).
Drivers are not the only ones at risk. Teenagers who are passengers in others
vehicles make up a startling 87% of the fatality statistic. Lack of driving experience,
disregard for traffic laws, and quick access to full driving privileges contribute to
teen death. To reduce teen driving fatalities, successful completion of driver
education classes provided by public and private schoolsshould be mandatory for all
teenagers prior to receiving their driving permit.
Most teens start learning to drive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the same time, they are the least able to cope with hazardous situations that arise
unexpectedly (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 2014). Again, it is apparent the
blatant disregard of traffic laws directly correlates to teen deaths in vehicle crashes.
Teens underestimate how speeding actually impedes their reaction time when placed
in precarious driving situations. Contributing factors such as wet roads or uneven
pavement necessitates that drivers slow down. Unfortunately, speeding causes them
to overcompensate resulting in many one vehicle accidents resulting in death.
Learning to understand the reasons why one should obey traffic laws begins at home
through observation of adults. However, academic settings such as driver s education
classes are the optimum place for these lessons because their structure provides in
depth training.
Driving gives teens a sense of freedom. They are in charge once their driving
permit is in hand and the key is in the ignition. However, freedom comes at a cost
and too much to soon can be fatal. For example, as reported in an article by IIHS,
The horrific crash that took Tiffany Accardi s life and the lives of four others
prompted Florida legislators to pass a law that phases in driving privileges for
teenagers. (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 2014). This mandate requires
teens to pass a
Behind The Formaldehyde Curtain
Having read three essays over the last five days, I can now sincerely say that the
way an essay is written is as important as its topic, when we think about its effect on
the audience. That s actually why I didn t like Behind the Formaldehyde Curtain
even though it was enlightening me about a pretty interesting topic. The writer chose
the give the information step by step, and it was quite boring reading twelve pages
of concatenated data along with some quotes. Also the sentence: The hands should be
cupped slightly for a more lifelike, relaxed appearance (Brady) made me think about
death, in all the cultures, it is showed as if dying is a good thing rather than bad. Why
do people try to make dead people look better than they really are?... Show more

Judy Brady also used repetitions in Why I Want a Wife such as: I want a wife who
will take care of my physical needs. I want a wife who will keep my house clean
(Brady), to make her ideas more effective, whereas Jessica Mitford used quotes
from experts such as: Mr. John H. Eckels, president of the Eckels College of
Mortuary Science, thus describes the first part of the embalming procedure: In the
hands of a skilled practitioner, this work may be done in a comparatively short time
(Mitford) and Jonathan Swift uses facts such as: The number of souls in this
kingdom being usually reckoned one million and a half, of these I calculate there
may be about two hundred thousand couple whose wives 35 are breeders (Swift). I
believe that using repetitions was the most effective one because it helped creating a
dramatic punch while giving the message to the audience. It also occurred to me that
all three of the novels aroused interest during the time they were written, probably
because the writers opposed the common senses on the topic, instead they presented
their ideas from a different point of
A Theory Of Justice By John Rawls Essay
In my discussion of this piece of text I will attempt to present an argument which
suggests rational individuals behind a veil of ignorance would assent to the two
primary principles of justice found in Rawls A theory of justice . I will also analyse
the extract, in particular debating whether various propositions made by Rawls in this
extract are true. Initially it is important to situate the extract of discussion. Section 3
of A theory of justiceis the opening of Rawls argument in A theory of justice , where
he introduces his original position, stating how rational individuals in a hypothetical
scenario, behind a veil of ignorance, would agree to two principles of justice which
would determine the way social institutions would be organised and how primary
goods would be distributed. This section also shows Rawls agreement with the idea
of hypothetical consent , an idea which suggests that because free and rational
individuals behind a veil of ignorance would agree to Rawls two principles of social
justice; they hypothetically consent to the principles of the social contract.
Initially I will analyse this extract in detail, focusing the claims and propositions
made by Rawls. Rawls claims that no society can...be a scheme of cooperation
which men enter voluntarily . Rawls belief in this leads to his agreement with the
idea of hypothetical consent, however, what if it is possible for society to be a
scheme of voluntary consent, perhaps taking part in a vote
Analysis Of Feminist Criticism In John Joyce s Ulysses
To begin with, Joyce was not a woman.
After Ulysses was published, many people thought that Molly was a prostitute
because of her sexual frankness, but with time her thoughts were appreciated by her
nuance. The problem then came with the arisen of the feminist criticism in the 1970
s, the debate started again. This is known as a big feminist moment in literature, but
the truth is that, as some critics point out, sex and how we are seen by men is not the
only thing women think at night, it may be in our thoughts, but it is not the only
single thing.
Although he was not a woman, Joyce tried to walk a mile in women s shoes, and
that is admirable and says much about him. It is known that Molly was modelled on
his wife Nora Barnacle, with whom he was deeply in love. However, Nora never
cheated on Joyce, although there were some rumours circulating about it, they were
nothing else, just rumours.
The way of thinking of the end of this the book, Ulysses, is that Joyce made an effort
imagining what would be his wife s point of view in the worst of all possible and
imaginable worlds, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While reading the novel, we take for granted our life will not be as Bloom s life,
that it will be better, but the truth is, we do not know what the future will bring, we
may find ourselves in Bloom s shoes or Molly s shoes in the future, trapped in a
marriage which is more a lie than anything else, our dreams left behind and a job
we do not really like. What Joyce is trying to tell us with this is not to despair, live
your life as if every day were the last one, and try to find happiness in every single
tiny moment: a coffee, a dance, a walk; happiness is hidden behind all those moments
which at first seem
Descriptive Essay On My Dream House
Everyone has a dream house , they just rely on your opinions and beliefs. You can
have a modern dream house, or maybe a vintage dream house. You can also either
live in the woods, in the city, or even right by the beach! You can be by yourself, or
you can have lots and lots of roommates. You can have lots of neighbors, or maybe
even none at all! You could live off of a mountain, or maybe on a paved street. First
of all, my house would be in the woods, away from everyone else. I would also live
in a modern looking log cabin. It has always been a dream of mine to live in a log
cabin. I also want to live in a modern house, so if you mix the two together, that
would just be perfect for me. I think that if you live in the woods, which is
secluded from everyone else, with a few friends, life would be perfect. My house
would be a two story, modern looking log cabin with lights all around the outside
so it would look beautiful at night. I would also have 4 roommates. They would all
be my best friends and we would have lots and lots of fun in our house. My
roommates names are Kian, Jc, Franny, and Bobby. They are all people that I
would have the most fun living with. Kian, Jc, and Bobby are all boys while
Franny and I would be the only girls. Sometimes, two guys named Harrison and
Anderson would live with us for about a month to two months at a time. They would
also be really fun to live with, and would basically be roommates. I think these
people would be the best roommates
The Magna Cart The Balance Of Power In The Middle Ages
During the later Middle Ages, societies effectively resolved conflict using legislation
and larger participation in politics through the growth of representative government.
Feudalism functioned as the system of local government in the period, and though it
was technically effective, lords felt no need for a central government under a self
proclaimed king. Regardless, the monarchy s power grew, and when the king was not
functional, as under King Stephen, Englandbecame a total anarchy, filled with
violence. People were tormented by pains unspeakable or exhausted with hunger
(Source 61). It was agreed that a strong central government was necessary, but barons
rebelled against demanding kings. Thus, in an example of functional diplomacy, the
Magna Carta, a constitutional treaty was created. The document shifted power away
from the monarch by giving rights to the people of England, successfully solving the
crisis of the extremely unequal balance of power without further violence.
Landowners no longer had to rebel against the king when they felt discriminated
against under unfair ruling, and instead simply brought up the legislation of the
Magna Carta against their ruler. Whenever the barons of England felt the king was
becoming too autocratic but had difficulty in finding specific abuses to accuse him
of, they simply demanded that he confirm the Magna Carta (Text 26). The Magna
Carta s ability to shift preferred solutions from direct violence to reliance on a piece of
Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Analysis
The musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has lyrics written by
Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Gänzl). Joseph is one of Lloyd
Webber s most popular works and has been performed in multiple countries both
professionally and in schools. It is based on the story of Joseph and his coat of many
colors from the Torah. The majority of the musical takes place in ancient Egyptduring
Biblical times. Joseph s interpretation of ancient Egypt influences the audience s
perception of the country in that time.
Joseph s first performance was in March of 1968 at St. Paul s Junior school in
London England Originally composed for a school choir as a 25 minute piece. It
was the first piece of work by Lloyd Webber and Rice to be performed publicly. It
has since been revised performed multiple times at various schools and theatres
(Playbill). Following Lloyd Webber s success with Jesus Christ Superstar, the
show had its first professional performance at the Edinburgh Festival of 1972 by
the Young Vic company. After it was not deemed to be very successful in the UK,
the music and lyrics were revised again, adding more characters and songs. And
then the script finally became solidified (more or less) to the version we know of
today (The Encyclopedia of the Musical Theatre Vol.2). Its first Broadway
production was on November 18, 1981 at the Entermedia Theatre in New York City
(Gänzl). Although it technically premiered in 1981, it is considered part of the 1982
U.s. Presidential Election System
To begin looking at the differences in greater depth I believe we should start with
the election system. In the Russian elections there are no electoral college.
Therefore, on the outside it looks as if the Russian election system is more
democratic than the U.S. However, there have been extensive studies done and they
have shown that the previous Russian Presidential have been far from democratic.
Since there is no electoral college that elects the President in Russia, it provides for
a more free election by the Russian people, as the Russian citizens elect the
President based on a purely popular vote. In the Russian Presidential election system,
if no candidate receives a majority of the vote, a runoff election has to be held. The
runoff is held between the top two candidates in the general election. There are also
factors that differ greatly in the election process between the two Presidential
systems. To begin this portion of the essay it would be appropriate to explain the two
in simple terms and then break it down. When one looks at both the American
constitution they see that the American constitution contains a very detailed
description of the powers and limitations of Congress, while only offering very little
space to define the authority of the President. However, on the other hand, the
Russian Constitution has a lengthy description of powers of the President and offers
very little description of the authority of the Russian Parliament. The Russian

Malaria Is A Threat Of Malaria
Malaria, just the very name rings with menace. It is a life threatening disease cause
by parasites transmitted from infected bites of female mosquitoes. Now if you live
in any area that is humid, hot, and prone to rain or near water and has mosquitos
you are at risk for contracting this parasite. Normally Africa, South America, Middle
East, rarely developed countries. About 3.2 billion people, almost half of the world s
population, are at risk of malaria. Granted we live in a time where in the United
States malaria is rare to hear about these days but in developing and undeveloped
countries, Malaria is a very real threat. Malaria has been plaguing societies for
years. Only recently has the Unites States and other countries been able to make it
a rare instance due to control of mosquitos. The symptoms of malaria was first
described in Chinese writings, the Nei Ching (2700 BC). It became widely known
in Greece, Hippocrates noted the principle symptoms. In the Susruta, a Sanskrit
medical treatise, the symptoms of malaria were described and attributed to certain
bites of insects. Some Roman writers thought the diseases were attributed to swampy
areas. In the New World, Indians told Spanish missionaries of the medical bark they
used to treat the fevers of those infected with malaria. With the bark it actually cured
the wife of the Viceroy of Peru. After this the bark from that tree was called Cinchona
after the countess. The antimalarial, quinine, derives from this bark and
Essay about Grief from a Cross-Cultural Perspective
Grief is a multi faceted response to loss. Although primarily focused on the emotional
reaction to loss, it also carries a physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, and
philosophical connotation. Doctor Elisabeth KГјbler Ross introduced the idea of the
stages of grief in her 1969 book, On Death and Dying. Although it has received much
criticism since then, the KГјbler Ross model remains to be the most widely accepted
model of grief today. However, as most psychological research conducted in the 20th
century was based on people living in the North America and Western Europe, the
KГјbler Ross model could be culturally biased. In the Laws of Absence, Ahmed El
Madini introduces the readers to grief and mourning in the Islamic culture. Through

The story is divided into three sections: the first introduces the concept of insanity as
experienced by the protagonist; the second, although still set in the stream of
consciousness, focuses on the narrator s grief rather than his reflection of self; the
third concludes with the protagonist reentering reality, or the physical world. From
the analysis of these sections, conclusions will be drawn through comparison to the
KГјbler Ross model. In order to compare the human reactions to the events
occurred within the story, the Islamic funeral rites will need to be observed.
However, it is important for the reader to realize that the grief and mourning, albeit
similar, are not the same. The act of mourning often varies by culture, whereas
grief, as explained previously, could more or less be experienced the same. The
story s first section introduces the readers to the concept of the narrator s insanity,
and his opposition against himself. In order to create the desired atmosphere of the
stream of consciousness, El Madini uses a variety rhetorical devices including:
paradox and epiplexis. In addition to rhetorical devices, El Madini also stylizes his
text through the use of invited reading. Through the use of those literary
techniques, El Madini expects the reader to infer that this type of speech and
perspective is typical of those suffering grievance or loss. The opening poem is an
example of El Madini s rhetorical devices at work. The last two
Alexander Fleming And Penicillin
How would it feel to save a life? How would it feel to save a few? Imagine saving
millions. Alexander Fleming knew that all too well. Although his name should sound
familiar, most people know very little about him, if anything at all. Just as discoveries
can lead to inventions, inventions can sometimes lead to discoveries. In 1928,
Alexander Flemingdiscovered penicillin. Prior to his discovery, patients with
infections or trivial injuries often died. A doctor would have to watch, wait, and
hope that a patient s immune system would be strong enough to fight and heal.
Throughout history, inventions and discoveries have been made to change or
save lives, but most are not discovered by accident. His entry into the world was on
August 6, 1881 on an 800 acre farm in a remote, rural part of Scotland. He was the
seventh of eight children enjoying a happy childhood and loving the outdoors (Ho,
1999). For the most part, he was shy, quiet, modest, and silent, except among loved
ones and friends. Indeed he was quite charming and gentle, but by all means, he

The Macroeconomic Situation in the USA
Micro Economic Situation in the USA United States economy was faced with
grim economic prospects that nearly plunged the economy into recession. The
measures that were put in place by the Congress and the Federal Reserve Bank did
make the US economy survive the recession scare that was realized in August
2011. This recession scare was occasioned by the figures generated from the July
29th GDP report (Bullard, 2011). The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC)
has however remained on the outlook and has warned the players in the financial
markets of a possible downside risk originating from Europe. The basis of FOMC
assertion was premised on European sovereign debt crisis that eroded the
confidence households and businesses had in certain financial institutions.
However, the drops in confidence have not impacted growth because large
businesses have focused their growth strategies to Asia as opposed to Europe.
Besides, households are less bothered by events unfolding in Europe which they
consider too distant to make them change their behavior (Bullard, 2011). As at
January 2013, civilian unemployment rate stood at 7.9%. This was coupled with a
four week moving average of 350,500 initial jobless claims (Federal Reserve Bank
of St. Louis, 2013). This means there was a 0.1 percentage increase in civilian
unemployment rates considering that the civilian unemployment rate was 7.8% as at
December 2012. There was also a +157 change in payroll employment as at January
2013. For

In 1905, Mr. H Piper filed a patent for a gasoline engine electric motor powertrain.
According to him, the electric motor would augment a gasoline engine, allowing a
vehicle to accelerate from zero to 25 miles an hour in 10 seconds, much faster than
the gasoline engines of that time. Ironically, when finally Mr.H Piper was granted
the patent a few years later, normal engines were capable of producing the same kind
of acceleration.
Due to rapid advancements in the gasoline engine, the popularity of a hybrid car
slowly diminished untill again in the early to mid 1970s, the time of oil crisis. Many
companies poured funds to build experimental Hybrid Electric Vehicles. But as the
oil became available again, the surge for HEVs died down immediately.
The Europeans and Japanese researching on reducing production costs and making
HEVs more salable. Companies like Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi came up
with ways to reduce emissions and better the mileage.
Toyota introduced the Prius in 1997 (in Japan and in 2000 in the US) which proved
to be a huge success. Recent sales figures indicate that well over 300,000 units of
Toyota Prius have been sold the world over justifying the concept of a clean family
car.
In 1999, Honda introduced its first production hybrid car, the Insight and then the
Civic Hybrid in 2002.
Ford came up with the first hybrid SUV, the Escape, which hit the road in 2004.

My Brother Sam Is Dead
Many people think war is fun, defending your country, or having all the glory. Other
people think that war is not fun. For example, killing people and losing friends,
family and community members. In the sad, but exciting, book My Brother Sam Is
Dead by the Collier brothers, Tim and his family struggle through many obstacles in
the American Revolutionary War. As we read this story the authors show that war
can divide and destroy individuals, families and communities. War can destroy and
divide individuals. For instance, when Tim is asked by Mr. Heron to deliver a
secret message, but his father doesn t want him to. The reason Tim was doing this
is because he wanted to impress Sam, but father wouldn t let him because he could
get lost or hurt. When Tim said, ... I didn t mean I have any opinion. This shows that
he doesn t know if he should go... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, when the Continental soldiers came into the tavern looking for the
Brown Bess father told them that Sam had it. The soldier said, watch your tongue
or i ll slice it out. This is an example of communities being torn apart because the
Patriots are trying to take father s gun for their own side of the war. This shows that
war has caused people to only care about themselves and what side their on, not their
own community members. Also, people are being threatened, forced to pick a side
and forced to turn against people who live in the community that they are in.
People only caring about themselves is not the only way communities are being torn
apart by war. For instance, losing people in the war (Sam, father and other
community members). People are stealing from each other because they only care
about their own needs. Finally, people are lying to each other. For example, when
Tim tried to lie to Betsey about the secret message he was sending for Mr. Heron.
This shows that communities are being torn apart by death, stealing and lying to each
A Brief Note On The Air Temperature Inversion
1. Is a temperature inversion more likely to form on a calm or a windy night?
Why? The air temperature inversion is more likely to occur on a calm night
versus a windy night. The inversion will happen when the air, closest to the earth is
a lot colder than the air higher in the atmosphere. Wind will naturally mix and
causing the temperature preventing an inversion. Temperature inversion may
happen during a cold front moving through. 2. What are the various methods used
to protect sensitive crops from damaging low temperatures? Explain why each
method works. Fruit trees can be very vulnerable for farmers (Ahrens 65). Many
ways a farmer can protect their crops as they are blossoming during low
temperatures is by using orchard heaters or Smudge pots. Smudge pot warm the air
around the trees close to the ground producing heat to raise the temperatures.
Another way that farmer protects their crops to warm the ground. They way the
ground is warmed is through a devices such as a wind machine (Ahrens 65). A
wind machine is a fan, which emulates propellers. One of the advantages that the
wind machines provide is that they turn on and off as they reach certain
temperatures. The basic way to protect crops is by covering them. On a cold night
to protect small plants of shrubs covering them with straw, cloth, or plastic sheeting
will prevent ground heat from being radiated away (Ahrens 65). 3. Would a strong
radiation inversion be more likely to form on a winter night or a

Thesis Statement About Marriage

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Marriage is a ritual that marks a change in status for a man and a woman and the
acceptance by society of the new family that is formed (Rosman Rubel, 1981).
Marriage, like other customs, is governed by rules (Rosman Rubel, 1981).
Anthropology has represented marriage as the definitive ritual and universally
translatable regulative ideal of human societies (BORNEMAN, 1996). Marriage
also the act of joining two persons of opposite sex together to become as husband
and wife. Many people in the society have different opinions or outright
misconception of the meaning of marriage. While some people see it as a union
between a man and woman, others take it to mean an agreement made between a man

Us Involvement In The Vietnam War
The Vietnam War spanned over several decades, included several United States
Presidents and caused controversy over the nation. The U.S. involvement in the war
began as a fight against the spread of communism. Eventually it became unclear to
the people of the United States what the goal of the war was. It caused disapproval
and concern among Americans.
Long before the United States had any influence on Vietnam, it had been controlled
by outside forces. First Vietnam was controlled by the Chinese. Vietnamese people
didn t want to lose their identity under Chinese rule. They struggled to maintain their
culture and China continued to exert some control over the Vietnamese until 1885
(historynet). France later colonized Vietnam in the late 1800 s. Then in 1940 Japan
took control from the French over Vietnam.
A leader emerged, HoChi Minh, who organized a group to fight back against the
Japanese. Members of the group became known as the Viet Minh. HoChi Minh
wanted support from America to help Vietnam become independent. France wouldn t
leave their hold in the country. An agreement was made between HoChi Minh and
the French. The northern part of Vietnam went to the... Show more content on

troops in Vietnam to hopefully win the war. At this point in history no American
president had lost a war (shmoop). In January of 1968, just before the Vietnamese
holiday of Tet, the North Vietnamese organized an offensive attack since a cease fire
was usually observed during the holiday. The Tet Offensive did not work as planned,
and the North Vietnamese troops lost about 40,000 soldiers. The American soldiers
who died numbered about 2,600 and about 13,000 were wounded. While the North
Vietnamese suffered more casualties, the American people still considered the Tet
Offensive a loss and mistrust of the U.S. government increased as citizens believed
they were not being told the

What I Attended A Concert
I attended a concert on the 16th of November at 7:30 in the evening at the Olive
DeLuce Fine Arts Building to watch the Northwest Jazz and Studio Jazz Ensembles
perform. Both ensembles performed a variety of songs generally under the jazz
genre, featuring artists studied in the course, including Duke Ellington, Count Basie
and George Gershwin. Some of the songs performed by the ensembles included La
Almeja Pequena, Count Me In, Rockin In Rhythm, and I ve Got a Crush on You.
Although there were many diverse styles played throughout the concert, many songs
performed are from the Tin Pan Alley, jazzor swing genres, all of which became
popular between 1930 and 1950. The songs performed by the Northwest Jazz and
Studio Jazz Ensembles can collectively be classified as big bandera music, including
polyphonic textures, complex rhythmic structures and collective improvisation, the
start of a new age of American popular music.
The Northwest jazz ensembles featured songs both under Dixieland jazz and swing
genres. Using a combination of the improvisational, small band qualities of jazz with
big band swing allowed listeners to experience both genres of music, clearly
displaying the similarities they share. A distinguishing feature in Dixieland jazz is the
separation of the front line (instruments such as the cornet, clarinet and trombone)
and rhythm section (instruments such as the piano and drums). Similarly, it is
noticeable in Dixieland jazz is that each
The Static Model Of Data Mining Essay
Abstract: Lot of research done in mining software repository. In this paper we
discussed about the static model of data mining to extract defect .Different algorithms
are used to find defects like naГЇve bayes algorithm, Neural Network, Decision tree.
But NaГЇve Bayes algorithm has the best result .Data mining approach are used to
predict defects in software .We used NASA dataset namely, Data rive. Software
metrics are also used to find defects.
Keywords: NaГЇve Bayes algorithm, Software Metric, Solution Architecture,.
I.INTRODUCTION
According to [1], multiple algorithms are combined to show better prediction
capability using votes. NaГЇve Bayes algorithm gives the best result if used
individual than others. The contribution of this paper based on two reasons. Firstly, it
provides a solution architecture which is based on software repository and secondly
it provides benchmarks that provide an ensemble of data mining models in the
defective module prediction problem and compare the result. Author used NASA
dataset online [2] which contain five large software projects with thousands of
modules. Bohem found 80/20 rule and about the half modules are defect free [3].
Fixing Defects in the operational phase is considerably more expensive than doing
so in the development or testing phase. Cost escalation factors ranges from 5:1 to
100:1 [3]. It tells defects can be fixed in operational phase not in development and
testing phase. The study of defect prediction can be classified into
Villain Support Group Essay
WHAT WERE YOUR IDEAS AND WHAT SOURCES PROMPTED THEM?
Within my group, many ideas were shared. Our first idea for our pre existing piece
was sparked from a concept from the movie Wreck It Ralph in which a villain is the
protagonist, who learns to accept who he is by the conclusion of the story. This
inspired our idea of a Villain support group to be the main concept of our story.
This then developed into a Side character support group , and the discussion of
which characters would be included in either side. Ultimately, this was as far as
this idea got and was scrapped when a future, more relevant idea came along. I felt
as though this idea would be great for a short scene in the show, but was not
elaborate enough to create a 10 20 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
WHAT SOURCES DID YOU RESEARCH TO HELP WITH YOUR IDEA?
To aid our idea of a high school theatre audition, I researched movies and shows that
contained similar concepts. For example, the audition scene in the Pitch Perfect
movie was ideal in sculpting our idea of a collective audition which would represent
the individual auditions of those in the room. Each student that would audition
would present the song differently, and therefore, be portraying how their own
characters are, even through a simple 3 minute pop song. Additionally, since this
idea would have been set within a high school, it was relevant to research similar
musicals. For example, Heathers the Musical, Be More Chill, and Spring
Awakening are all musicals set within a high school environment. Bare the Musical
stood out to me the most personally, for the simple fact that within the musical,
there are high school characters putting on a Shakespeare play. The song Auditions
would have been a brilliant way to inspire a script for this idea, if it would have
developed into our final idea.
To help with the pre existing villain/sidekick support group idea, I looked into the
most iconic antagonists and minor characters both within theatre and popular movies
and tv shows. For villains, I looked deeply into characters like Voldemort (Harry
Potter), Pennywise the Clown (It), Ghostface (Scream), etc. For sidekicks, Ron
Weasley (Harry Potter), Boq (Wicked), Robin (Batman). To help even further with
this idea, I
Aristotle s Virtue Is A Disposition That Issues Correct...
In Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle understands virtue is a disposition that issues
correct choice. In this essay, we are given the task to explain what Aristotle means by
choice, which is in turn show that choice is not wishes, opinion, nor desire. Rather,
Aristotle believes choice involves desire. So, I will explain concisely why correct
choice is not a tendency to opine the correct thing to do rather correct choice is an
intimate coordination between our rational and desiring faculties. Thus, controlling
and coordinating what we desire and why we desire something. Ultimately, leading
the agent to what the right thing they should do, full stop, regardless of numerous
alternatives. We will focus on what Aristotlemeans by choice, as presented in the
Nicomachean Ethics. First, we will understand what choice is not to Aristotle. For
Aristotle, choice is not a wish because wishes can be related to impossibilities, such
as immortality, which are things that we cannot do. Rather, what we wish for is the
goal or the end that we are trying to achieve and choices are the means that will get
us to the end. Next, Aristotle believes that choice is not equivalent to opinion in the
sense of arriving at a beliefabout what to do. Aristotle says, it cannot be opinion; for
opinion is thought to be related to all kinds of things, no less to eternal things and
impossible things than to things in our own power; and it is distinguished by its
falsity or truth, not by its badness or
Analysis Of A Girl By Gardiner Harris Rape Of Girl
Everywhere around the world women and girls are terrorized, mistreated and
victims of abuse, rape, and assault. Sadly this kind of treatment towards women
and girls is often very common in Asian countries. The article by Gardiner Harris
entitled, Rape of Girl, 5, Draws Focus to Child Assault in India , talks about how
an innocent five year old girl was raped, tortured and almost killed in India. Harris
wrote in the article that people demand stricter laws against sex crimes and that
there should be more protection for women. In Asia women tend to be less
desirable, and are treated with less respect than a man. Harris also claims that news
reports are packed with stories about heinous crimes and assaults against women

Dexter Filkins wrote an article entitled Afghan Girls, Scarred by Acid, Defy Terror,
Embracing School. Filkins wrote that Shamsia Husseini was the victim of an acid

school. Filkins wrote that Shamsia claims The people who did this to me don t
want women to be educated, they want us to be stupid things (Dexter Filkins,
2009). This article relates to the article, Rape of Girl, 5, Draws Focus to Child
Assault in India , because both articles talk about how girls and women in some
Asian countries are thought to be inferior to men, and can be terrorized or abused
into doing what others want. This article is very deviant, because a hate crime such
as throwing acid on someone is never okay. It is deviant to use violence to get what
you want. A man throwing acid on a girl to keep her from going school and being
educated is very deviant. The Gender Conflict Theory applies to this article as well,
because a man threw acid on a girl to stop her from being
Suspense In Bram Stoker s Dracula
Dracula written by Bram Stoker was one of the few very few novels I read that
contain a lot of suspense. This novel is typically the book I would avoid because I
do not like novels that contain violence. Despite reading this book out of my
comfort zone I actually enjoyed reading it more than I thought I would. One thing
I liked about the novel was how each Stoker wrote the book as journals or diaries
from each character, which was very neat. I also liked that each journal and diary had
a date, it made the novel very organized as a whole. This novel was not like any other
book I read, it was very different. I liked this novel because there was a lot of
suspense; it was basically a huge mystery. In the beginning of Dracula, there was sine

This event took place in the churchyard where Arthur, Dr. Seward, Quincey, and Van

own heart cold as ice, and I could hear the gasp of Arthur, as we recognized the
features of Lucy Westenra. Lucy Westenra, but yet has changed. The sweetest turned
to adamantine, heartless cruelty, and the purity to voluptuous wantonness. (217)
Basically, what Stoker is saying that Lucy was turning very sexual because Dracula
influenced her. Dracula power over her not only turned her into a vampire but also
changed her innocence. After, they viewed her features. She entered into the
coffin and they stabbed her heart and cut off her head. Lucy soul was finally free, she
was able to rest in peace. This event was major because it was a very intense scene
because they were all shocked about Lucy s behavior and also killing her was very
tough for the
Robert Fulghum Dinner Diction
Did you know there was a name for the nasty, icky, gross, unsanitary gunk that is in
the bottom of your sink after you wash dishes? Well there is and the name of it is
dinner dandruff just like the essay by Robert Fulghum. Fulghum wrote the essay
Dinner Dandruff to entertain the reader along with relating to them about a
problem that everyone that washes dishes has. In the essay he uses many different
types of author s style but the main three are diction, syntax, and imagery. Diction
is the author s word choice while syntax is the author s sentence choice, and
imagery is where you can picture what s happening while reading the story. First of
all the author uses diction in the essay to create the tone by using smaller words
along with more proper words. For an example in the essay it states A rational,
intelligent, objective person would say that this is simply a mixture of food
particles too big to go down the the drain, composed of pits of protein,
carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. This shows that Fulghum uses diction when he explains
what dinner dandruff is made of by using a higher vocabulary like particles and
carbohydrates it creates an effect on the essay. It makes the essay sound... Show more

Syntax is the arrangement of words into sentences, Fulghum uses syntax often in the
essay to show the importances of words and to create the humorous effect. One
example of it would be Once, in school, I came across the french word ordure, and
when the teacher told me it meant unspeakable filth I knew exactly to what is
referred. We had it every night. In the bottom of our sink. The sentences have syntax
and create an effect not only because of the diction in them but because the lengths of
them and the structure. The first set of parentheses is much longer compared to the
other too. That way the other ones are more dramatic and forces you to take a pause
between them which ultimately helps set the
Arguments On Human Cloning
Human cloning has been around since 1952 and up to this day, the issues
surrounding cloning of humans remain a hot topic. People are divided on both sides
of the controversy and morally the arguments are broader. The word cloning is mostly
used in everyday communication to mean and represent many different technological
procedures. More specifically, cloningis defined as somatic cell nuclear transfer.
Human cloning is a very controversial topic as well as a tremendous breakthrough in
today s technology and science. There have been many experiments on animal
cloning which have been successful, and because of these discoveries, there is a
belief that human cloning would be successful too.
Many individuals argue that each human life is unique and born of a miracle that
is beyond laboratory science. A fundamental argument is that cloning is ethically
wrong, and many religious groups have rejected it saying that cloning is
equivalent to playing God . And cloning goes against these certain religions
because they believe only God has created life and its various forms in nature, and
humans should have no right to act like God . And many others argue that human
cloning should continue for many reasons. One of them being that cloned humans
embryos would make research into genetics and genetically related diseases and
their preventions or treatments, much easier, as well as cheaper. Embryo cloning
has also been seen as a potential treatment for infertility when in vitro fertilization
is not available. And this can occur when parents are infertile, or when both or one
of the parents harbor a genome coding for certain undesirable traits or beliefs.
Cloned embryos tissues could be used for the replacement of lost or diseased
tissues. Some experts believe that embryo should not require any moral
consideration. Reason being that they believe at the stage an embryo is cloned, it is
basically just a bunch of cells that contain DNA, which are considered no different
than the millions of skin cells we shed daily. At that stage, embryonic cells should not
be considered equivalent to human beings because it does not have any self
awareness, memory, feelings, thoughts, organs, legs, arms, etc. However, adult
cloning might be
Becoming An Early Childhood Teacher
Introduction
An educator is vital to have their own teaching and learning philosophy, a personal
learning philosophy is the elements, belief and the pedagogy for the educator in the
teaching field(Soccorsi,2013). The changes of your teaching philosophy will changed
through the studies of your course, teaching experiences and career. In this essay, it
has separated into three part, the first part is to explain what has influenced me to
become an early childhood teacher. The second part is to explain the situation of
early childhood education in Australia today. The last part is going to explain my
philosophy and provide some support evidences.
Why I want to become an early childhood teacher?
There are two people that influenced me to become a early childhood teacher, one
is Miss.Huang and the other is Eason. When I was small, I have studied in 2
different kindergartens, I have left the first kindergarten due to the removal of the
kindergarten, and I have to move the second kindergarten. I still remember in my
first few month studying in kindergarten, I kept crying every day when I have to
leave my parents and study in the kindergarten, I was scared of adapting new
environment and get to know new teacher. However, Miss.Huang in the kindergarten
treated me really well, she is kind and paid a lot of effort and patience to help me
adapt the environment and teach me the rules in this kindergarten. At last
Miss.Huang has build a reciprocal relationship with me by helping me to

Storytelling As A Form Of Storytelling
Furthermore, storytelling becomes a form of physical and psychological torture that
the characters try to escape. There are two perspectives that torture illustrates in the
plays. Torture as a form of storytelling is sharing the stories, but also how stories are
told. The Pillowman forms storytelling as torture when the Tupolski and Ariel
interrogate Katurian to expose his identity through his stories. The push of
storytelling as torture becomes a central focus when the use of language and words
direct a physical and psychological control against the characters. Therefore,
storytelling illustrates a form of brainwashing. In addition, Katurian uses storytelling

just coincidental. On the other hand, Antigone in New York illustrates that
storytelling is torturous towards Anita and Sasha when they do not listen to one
another. Anita tortures Sasha and Flea to find Paulie that she does not find him
herself. Throughout the play, Anita has more concern for Paulie than anyone else;
she recalls stories to help herself out of the lumps. However, by recalling stories about
Paulie of how much she loves him, only tortures herself knowing she doesn t know
where he is. She hurts herself not knowing what will happen, not even wondering of
any consequences that would arise. However, the more Antia talks about Paulie, she
realizes her relationship with Paulie is not how she talks about him in the beginning.
They started beating him over the head with their clubs, Anita reveals how
storytelling is tortuous that she could have done something to help but during the
moment, she is more concerned with herself. Thus, the act of storytelling becomes a
torture when the characters ultimately hurt one another in the end. Needless to say,
The Pillowman and Antigone in New York amplify storytelling as torture; the
difference in plays illustrate a contrast between telling and performing the stories. The
difference between the two establish a
Persuasive Speech Essay
For this assignment, I reviewed Ivan Coyote s persuasive speech, Why We Need
Gender Neutral Bathrooms, In this speech, Ivan told the audience that he was
transgender and had a difficult time using public restrooms. The reason being was
due to the fact that Ivan was not a woman, and not a man. Ivan used a lot of
different persuasive techniques to get the point across that there should be gender
neutral restrooms in every public space and outlet. One of the impactful parts of
this speech was the use of introducing personal stories. This utilizes the term logos
which means evidence and reasoning. It is very difficult to open up and talk about
past experiences that have heavily impacted you in some way. Doing it publicly,
or a greater cause and with a goal of bringing awareness is completely different.
Ivan was able to go to TED and discuss his/her story to the public, while also
knowing it would be taped and posted to the media forever. This was a very
commendable and brave thing for this speaker to do. It was heartbreaking when Ivan
mentioned stories of attempting to do a simple human everyday task, go to the
restroom. Ivan talks about being glared at, being talked about, yelled at, physically
assaulted, and plain dragged out of the restroom by security guards while still pulling
his/her pants up. This is outrageous that because other people are not comfortable
with the idea of transgenderpeople that they have to suffer. It is unfair that coming
out and being their true
Describe The Structure Of Methanogenesis
Methanogens are prokaryotes. A prokaryote cell does not contain a membrane
bound nucleus; they range from 0.1 to 10 Вµm in total cell size. Methanogens are
usually either coccoid (spherical) or bacilli (rod shaped). Each cell is surrounded by
a plasma membrane. The cell has no subcellular organelles, only infoldings of the
plasma membrane called mesosomes. The deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is condensed
within the cytosol to form the nucleoid. The cell walls of Methanogens, like other
Archaea, lack peptidoglycan. Some prokaryotes have tail like flagella. By rotation of
their flagella, they have the ability to move through their surrounding media in
response to chemicals or better known as chemotaxis . The flagella are made of the
proteinflagellin that forms a long filament, which is attached to the flagellar motor by
the flagellar hook.
Methanogens are anaerobic unicellular organisms that release methane as a waste
product of cellular metabolism. All of the methanogens are lithotrophs that can make
their own energy only by Methanogenesis, or the production of methane. ... Show

They are responsible for the methane in the belches of ruminants, as in, the flatulence
in humans, and the marsh gas of wetlands. Methanogenic archaea, are an important
group of microorganisms that remove excess hydrogen and fermentation products
produced by other forms of anaerobic respiration produce methane as a metabolic by
product under anaerobic conditions ecosystem. Because of this, methanogens thrive
in environments in which all electron acceptors other than CO2 (such as oxygen,
nitrate, trivalent iron, and sulphate) have been depleted. In spite of this, since the
process of methanogenesis also produces methane, which has a global warming
potential 21 times greater than that of carbon dioxide. This effect can fortunately be
offset through the use of methane as a

  • 1. How To Write A Conclusion Essay Crafting an essay on the intricacies of writing a conclusion essay may seem deceptively simple at first glance, but delving into the task reveals the multifaceted nature of the endeavor. The challenge lies not only in conveying the fundamental principles of conclusion writing but also in articulating them in a manner that engages and enlightens the reader. One of the primary complexities stems from the need to strike a delicate balance between summarizing key points and introducing fresh insights. The conclusion should not merely rehash the body of the essay but should rather synthesize the information cohesively, offering a new perspective or a sense of closure. This requires a keen analytical mind to distill the essence of the essay and present it with clarity. Furthermore, grappling with the challenge of avoiding redundancy while reinforcing the main arguments demands a nuanced approach. A conclusion should feel like a natural culmination, not a repetitive recapitulation. Achieving this finesse involves careful consideration of the language used, ensuring it remains concise and purposeful without being overly verbose. Another layer of difficulty arises in the task of crafting a memorable conclusion. The concluding paragraph is the last impression the reader will have, and as such, it should leave a lasting impact. This necessitates a certain level of creativity and rhetorical finesse, elevating the conclusion from a mere summary to a thought-provoking reflection on the essay's themes. In the process of writing about how to write a conclusion essay, one must also grapple with the challenge of catering to diverse audiences. Different essays may require different approaches to crafting conclusions, considering factors such as the subject matter, tone, and intended readership. Adapting the writing style to suit these variations adds another layer of complexity to the task. In conclusion (ironically), writing an essay on how to write a conclusion essay is a task that demands more than just a cursory understanding of the subject. It requires a nuanced grasp of rhetorical strategies, analytical thinking, and the ability to tailor the conclusion to the specific nuances of each essay. Aspiring essayists embarking on this journey must navigate the intricate terrain of language, synthesis, and creativity to produce a conclusion that truly resonates with the reader. If the intricacies of such essays become overwhelming, it's worth noting that there are resources available. Similar essays and much more can be explored or even ordered through platforms like HelpWriting.net, offering assistance for those seeking guidance in the art of essay composition. • 2. Taking a Look at Acid Rain Acid rain or acid deposition occurs when atmospheric pollutants, namely sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, combine with water vapour present in the atmosphere. (Morgan, 1999, p. 3) Acid deposition is a broad term which includes any precipitation that has a pH deemed to be acidic. When these pollutants, released from the burning of fossils fuels or the smelting of metal, enter into the atmosphere they combine with moisture before falling down to Earth. (National Geographic, n.d.) A chemical reaction then occurs converting these reactants into sulfuric and nitric acid which in turn will create rain that is acidic. (Petheram, 2003, p. 15) Prior to this, several reactions must first occur. Sulfur, which is found in nature in a solid state, must transform into sulfur oxide gas. (Morgan, 1999, p. 35) Sulfur dioxideis often found from industrial emissions and electricity generation. (Jakuboski, 2011) While it can be found in nature, it is not found in nearly as conspicuous amounts as it is from human pollution. In nature it is formed by bonding sulfur oxides with oxygen in the atmosphere, transforming the sulfur oxides into a gaseous state. Sulfur dioxide gases will then oxide to create sulfur trioxide. Finally, sulfur trioxide will chemically bond with moisture in the atmosphere to form sulfuric acid. (Morgan, 1999, p. 34) Nitrogen, however, remains a different story altogether. Nitrogen monoxide, which enters into the atmosphere as emissions from vehicles and
  • 3. Stop And Frisk At The Court Case Of Terry V. Ohio As crime rates rise, police must come up with new methods to counteract these increases. Many of these methods come with pros and cons that may affect the way the public views Police officers and law enforcement in general. Some of these methods may seem like a violation to people s rights, even though they may be constitutional. One of these methods known as Stop and Frisk is one of the most widely debated topics in America when it comes to dealing with Policeactions and Constitutional rights. Stop and Frisk is the practice by which a police initiates a stop of an individual on the street based on reasonable suspicionof criminal activity. The Stop and Frisk policy was adopted from laws in a number of different courts in America. Under Stop and Frisk, a police officer has the power to stop, question, and frisk suspects with reason. These questions may determine whether the suspected person should be detained and investigated. The constitutional requirements of stop and frisk practices were bought up by the Supreme Court during the court case of Terry v. Ohio. Before this case, it was illegal for Police Officers to stop someone and frisk them unless they were being arrested or have a search warrant for that person. After various cases that tested the constitutional rights of Americans such as Sibron v. New York, Peters v. New York and Terry v. Ohio, the Supreme Court cane to the conclusion that police officers can frisk someone without having
  • 4. The Best Places For Find European Stocks 1. The best places to find European stocks The stock market may have found its legs within the United States, but its true spiritual home is without doubt within European borders. European stocks for the past 100 years have found great success within European exchanges, with several of them bringing investment opportunities closer to the people. If you are someone who holds an interest in European stocks, then the following are the exchanges that you need to place focus on. London Stock Exchange Found deep within the heart of London, the London Stock Exchange ranks as the 4th largest stock exchange in the world and certainly has age and experience on its side. Founded back in 1801, it s located next to the historic St Paul s Cathedral and is an international market in almost every sense of the word. At last count there were more than 3,000 brands from 70 different countries present and accounted for. What helps make the London Stock Exchange such a haven for European stocks is the fact that it is open to both upstart and already established markets. The Alternative Investment Market (AIM) opens its doors to lesser known names and gives them a platform to openly promote themselves to traders. If you are looking to invest in European stocks the London Stock Exchange represents a great place to start. Deutsche Borse Germany is considered key financial house within Europe, so it is no shock to see that various European stocks call the country home. Germany s leading stock
  • 5. Global Warming And Its Effects On Society Another important fact in Global warming is known for causing more natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, heat waves, tropical storms, and etc. (Jones, 2010). This seems to me to come into place as common sense if temperatures escalate, glaciers will melt and as a conclusion, it will possibly make the oceans rise causing erosion. Therefore, stated in the article Greenhouse Effect, enlightened numerous lower regions, mainly experiencing warmer temperatures in their climates (Losev, 2014). By reading this article I absorbed that it s just not any country, it seems to happen to underdeveloped countries that have the main effects because they are not dominate (Kuczynski, Vidal, Li etc., 2011). I have considered that a dominant society compared to none dominate culture will have the resources to stop these harmful chemicals into their society before it causes harm to their nation and then into others. Another critical factor of climate change is pollutions and pollen. She added, That man (Boaz) is our close relative; he is one of our kinsman redeemers (Ruth 2:20). This scripture exposes Boaz as a candidate to be the kinsman redeemer of Ruth and her deceased husband s family. From the land of Moab, gleaning in the fields of Boazand to the threshing floor the story finds its purpose in Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. While there are so many influential figures in the Bible, I argue that Boaz is of great importance because of he becomes the kinsman redeemer, he acts in redemption, and the lineage of Ruth and her deceased husband is carried on all while foreshadowing Christ and things to come.... The epic hero is a larger than life person who embodies the highest ideals of his culture and time period. Also, this type of heroes experience human emotions, yet is able to master and control these human traits to a greater degree than a typical human. All of these standard traits were set by Odysseus, the epic hero from the Odyssey, written by Homer. Odysseus embodies the characteristics of the Greeks at the time such as Curiosity, sharp intellect, cunningness all throughout the Odyssey to set the standard for epic heroes for future generations to come. Out of all of Odysseus traits, his cunningness and ability to be an articulate speaker is one of the more prominent traits that shines throughout his journey. Through the odysseys many bumps and battles Odysseus demonstrates his cunningness and quick thinking at every page. When Odysseus says, My name is Nohbody: mother, father, friends, everyone calls me Nohbody (Homer 9.360 361). Odysseus shows his deceptiveness by naming himself Nohbody in future plans of escaping from Polyphemus. In this situation, Odysseus cunningness helps him to escape and get back on track to his journey back to Ithaca. The following demonstrates another example Odysseus persuasiveness: My quiet Penelope how well I know would seem a shade before your majesty, death and old age

The early initiation of DMARDs has shown to reduce progression of radiologic damage such as joint erosions by 60% (Luime et al., 2016; Wasserman, 2011). Luime et al. (2016) reported treatment initiation should begin within three to four months of the onset of symptoms and benefits are dependent on how early treatment is initiated. In 2015, the ACR conducted a systematic review of the literature evaluating the benefits and risks of treatment options and established a guideline for initiating treatments for early diagnosed RA patients defined as having RA symptoms or the disease for less than six months and for established RA patients defined as having RA symptoms or the disease for greater than six months or having met the 1987 ACR RA classification (Singh et al., 2016). Physicians should not consider the guidelines as prescriptive but a tool for discussion with the patient to determine an appropriate treatment course considering the patient s wishes and the decision should be shared between the physician and the patient (Singh et al., 2016). After putting all trust into the security and emergency responders, a catastrophe, like the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, happens. During the bombing, three people died and more than 260 were injured (Barlow 1). Recently, in Las Vegas, an elevated shooter fired down on music festival goers. He killed 58 people and injuring hundreds (Hudgins 2). Securityat major events should be tightened because citizens would feel safer, it would prevent many deaths and injuries, and it could make terrorists think twice before attending. Since the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, security protocols have increased dramatically. The police have established what they call a no drone zone , meaning drones can no longer be flown anywhere on the 26.2 mile course. Police have also asked spectators to leave backpacks, blankets, shoulder bags, and coolers at home (Barlow 1). This gives other attendees a sense of comfort and quickens the security screening. Such injuries are by far the leading public health problem for young people 13 19 years old (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety [IIHS], 2014). Drivers are not the only ones at risk. Teenagers who are passengers in others vehicles make up a startling 87% of the fatality statistic. Lack of driving experience, disregard for traffic laws, and quick access to full driving privileges contribute to teen death. At the same time, they are the least able to cope with hazardous situations that arise unexpectedly (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 2014). Again, it is apparent the blatant disregard of traffic laws directly correlates to teen deaths in vehicle crashes. Teens underestimate how speeding actually impedes their reaction time when placed in precarious driving situations. Contributing factors such as wet roads or uneven pavement necessitates that drivers slow down. Unfortunately, speeding causes them to overcompensate resulting in many one vehicle accidents resulting in death. Learning to understand the reasons why one should obey traffic laws begins at home through observation of adults. However, academic settings such as driver s education classes are the optimum place for these lessons because their structure provides in depth training. Driving gives teens a sense of freedom. They are in charge once their driving permit is in hand and the key is in the ignition. However, freedom comes at a cost and too much to soon can be fatal. That s actually why I didn t like Behind the Formaldehyde Curtain even though it was enlightening me about a pretty interesting topic. The writer chose the give the information step by step, and it was quite boring reading twelve pages of concatenated data along with some quotes. Also the sentence: The hands should be cupped slightly for a more lifelike, relaxed appearance (Brady) made me think about death, in all the cultures, it is showed as if dying is a good thing rather than bad. I will also analyse the extract, in particular debating whether various propositions made by Rawls in this extract are true. Initially it is important to situate the extract of discussion. Section 3 of A theory of justiceis the opening of Rawls argument in A theory of justice , where he introduces his original position, stating how rational individuals in a hypothetical scenario, behind a veil of ignorance, would agree to two principles of justice which would determine the way social institutions would be organised and how primary goods would be distributed. This section also shows Rawls agreement with the idea of hypothetical consent , an idea which suggests that because free and rational individuals behind a veil of ignorance would agree to Rawls two principles of social justice; they hypothetically consent to the principles of the social contract. Initially I will analyse this extract in detail, focusing the claims and propositions made by Rawls. Rawls claims that no society can...be a scheme of cooperation which men enter voluntarily . Rawls belief in this leads to his agreement with the idea of hypothetical consent, however, what if it is possible for society to be a scheme of voluntary consent, perhaps taking part in a vote

After Ulysses was published, many people thought that Molly was a prostitute because of her sexual frankness, but with time her thoughts were appreciated by her nuance. The problem then came with the arisen of the feminist criticism in the 1970 s, the debate started again. This is known as a big feminist moment in literature, but the truth is that, as some critics point out, sex and how we are seen by men is not the only thing women think at night, it may be in our thoughts, but it is not the only single thing. Although he was not a woman, Joyce tried to walk a mile in women s shoes, and that is admirable and says much about him. It is known that Molly was modelled on his wife Nora Barnacle, with whom he was deeply in love. However, Nora never cheated on Joyce, although there were some rumours circulating about it, they were nothing else, just rumours. • 16. The Magna Cart The Balance Of Power In The Middle Ages During the later Middle Ages, societies effectively resolved conflict using legislation and larger participation in politics through the growth of representative government. Feudalism functioned as the system of local government in the period, and though it was technically effective, lords felt no need for a central government under a self proclaimed king. Regardless, the monarchy s power grew, and when the king was not functional, as under King Stephen, Englandbecame a total anarchy, filled with violence. People were tormented by pains unspeakable or exhausted with hunger (Source 61). It was agreed that a strong central government was necessary, but barons rebelled against demanding kings. Thus, in an example of functional diplomacy, the Magna Carta, a constitutional treaty was created. The document shifted power away from the monarch by giving rights to the people of England, successfully solving the crisis of the extremely unequal balance of power without further violence. Landowners no longer had to rebel against the king when they felt discriminated against under unfair ruling, and instead simply brought up the legislation of the Magna Carta against their ruler. Whenever the barons of England felt the king was becoming too autocratic but had difficulty in finding specific abuses to accuse him of, they simply demanded that he confirm the Magna Carta (Text 26). The Magna Carta s ability to shift preferred solutions from direct violence to reliance on a piece of

Joseph is one of Lloyd Webber s most popular works and has been performed in multiple countries both professionally and in schools. It is based on the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors from the Torah. The majority of the musical takes place in ancient Egyptduring Biblical times. Joseph s interpretation of ancient Egypt influences the audience s perception of the country in that time. Joseph s first performance was in March of 1968 at St. Paul s Junior school in London England Originally composed for a school choir as a 25 minute piece. It was the first piece of work by Lloyd Webber and Rice to be performed publicly. It has since been revised performed multiple times at various schools and theatres (Playbill). After it was not deemed to be very successful in the UK, the music and lyrics were revised again, adding more characters and songs. Its first Broadway production was on November 18, 1981 at the Entermedia Theatre in New York City (Gänzl). Although it technically premiered in 1981, it is considered part of the 1982

In the Russian elections there are no electoral college. Therefore, on the outside it looks as if the Russian election system is more democratic than the U.S. However, there have been extensive studies done and they have shown that the previous Russian Presidential have been far from democratic. Since there is no electoral college that elects the President in Russia, it provides for a more free election by the Russian people, as the Russian citizens elect the President based on a purely popular vote. In the Russian Presidential election system, if no candidate receives a majority of the vote, a runoff election has to be held. The runoff is held between the top two candidates in the general election. There are also factors that differ greatly in the election process between the two Presidential systems. To begin this portion of the essay it would be appropriate to explain the two in simple terms and then break it down. When one looks at both the American constitution they see that the American constitution contains a very detailed description of the powers and limitations of Congress, while only offering very little space to define the authority of the President. However, on the other hand, the Russian Constitution has a lengthy description of powers of the President and offers very little description of the authority of the Russian Parliament. From the analysis of these sections, conclusions will be drawn through comparison to the KГјbler Ross model. In order to compare the human reactions to the events occurred within the story, the Islamic funeral rites will need to be observed. The measures that were put in place by the Congress and the Federal Reserve Bank did make the US economy survive the recession scare that was realized in August 2011. This recession scare was occasioned by the figures generated from the July 29th GDP report (Bullard, 2011). The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) has however remained on the outlook and has warned the players in the financial markets of a possible downside risk originating from Europe. The basis of FOMC assertion was premised on European sovereign debt crisis that eroded the confidence households and businesses had in certain financial institutions. However, the drops in confidence have not impacted growth because large businesses have focused their growth strategies to Asia as opposed to Europe. Besides, households are less bothered by events unfolding in Europe which they consider too distant to make them change their behavior (Bullard, 2011). Temperature inversion may happen during a cold front moving through. 2. What are the various methods used to protect sensitive crops from damaging low temperatures? Explain why each method works. Fruit trees can be very vulnerable for farmers (Ahrens 65). Many ways a farmer can protect their crops as they are blossoming during low temperatures is by using orchard heaters or Smudge pots. Smudge pot warm the air around the trees close to the ground producing heat to raise the temperatures. Another way that farmer protects their crops to warm the ground. Thesis Statement About Marriage NURUL ATIRAH BINTI ROSLI 43517 PROBLEM STATEMENT Marriage is a ritual that marks a change in status for a man and a woman and the acceptance by society of the new family that is formed (Rosman Rubel, 1981). Marriage, like other customs, is governed by rules (Rosman Rubel, 1981). Anthropology has represented marriage as the definitive ritual and universally translatable regulative ideal of human societies (BORNEMAN, 1996). Marriage also the act of joining two persons of opposite sex together to become as husband and wife. Many people in the society have different opinions or outright misconception of the meaning of marriage. • 29. Us Involvement In The Vietnam War The Vietnam War spanned over several decades, included several United States Presidents and caused controversy over the nation. The U.S. involvement in the war began as a fight against the spread of communism. Eventually it became unclear to the people of the United States what the goal of the war was. It caused disapproval and concern among Americans. Long before the United States had any influence on Vietnam, it had been controlled by outside forces. First Vietnam was controlled by the Chinese. Vietnamese people didn t want to lose their identity under Chinese rule. They struggled to maintain their culture and China continued to exert some control over the Vietnamese until 1885 (historynet). France later colonized Vietnam in the late 1800 s. Then in 1940 Japan took control from the French over Vietnam. A leader emerged, HoChi Minh, who organized a group to fight back against the Japanese. What I Attended A Concert I attended a concert on the 16th of November at 7:30 in the evening at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building to watch the Northwest Jazz and Studio Jazz Ensembles perform. Both ensembles performed a variety of songs generally under the jazz genre, featuring artists studied in the course, including Duke Ellington, Count Basie and George Gershwin. Some of the songs performed by the ensembles included La Almeja Pequena, Count Me In, Rockin In Rhythm, and I ve Got a Crush on You. Although there were many diverse styles played throughout the concert, many songs performed are from the Tin Pan Alley, jazzor swing genres, all of which became popular between 1930 and 1950. The songs performed by the Northwest Jazz and Studio Jazz Ensembles can collectively be classified as big bandera music, including polyphonic textures, complex rhythmic structures and collective improvisation, the start of a new age of American popular music. The Northwest jazz ensembles featured songs both under Dixieland jazz and swing genres. Using a combination of the improvisational, small band qualities of jazz with big band swing allowed listeners to experience both genres of music, clearly displaying the similarities they share. A distinguishing feature in Dixieland jazz is the separation of the front line (instruments such as the cornet, clarinet and trombone) and rhythm section (instruments such as the piano and drums). Similarly, it is noticeable in Dixieland jazz is that each

NaГЇve Bayes algorithm gives the best result if used individual than others. The contribution of this paper based on two reasons. Firstly, it provides a solution architecture which is based on software repository and secondly it provides benchmarks that provide an ensemble of data mining models in the defective module prediction problem and compare the result. Author used NASA dataset online [2] which contain five large software projects with thousands of modules. Bohem found 80/20 rule and about the half modules are defect free [3]. Fixing Defects in the operational phase is considerably more expensive than doing so in the development or testing phase. Cost escalation factors ranges from 5:1 to 100:1 [3]. It tells defects can be fixed in operational phase not in development and testing phase. The study of defect prediction can be classified into
  • 34. Villain Support Group Essay WHAT WERE YOUR IDEAS AND WHAT SOURCES PROMPTED THEM? Within my group, many ideas were shared. Our first idea for our pre existing piece was sparked from a concept from the movie Wreck It Ralph in which a villain is the protagonist, who learns to accept who he is by the conclusion of the story. This inspired our idea of a Villain support group to be the main concept of our story. This then developed into a Side character support group , and the discussion of which characters would be included in either side. Ultimately, this was as far as this idea got and was scrapped when a future, more relevant idea came along. I felt as though this idea would be great for a short scene in the show, but was not elaborate enough to create a 10 20 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... WHAT SOURCES DID YOU RESEARCH TO HELP WITH YOUR IDEA? To aid our idea of a high school theatre audition, I researched movies and shows that contained similar concepts. For example, the audition scene in the Pitch Perfect movie was ideal in sculpting our idea of a collective audition which would represent the individual auditions of those in the room. Each student that would audition would present the song differently, and therefore, be portraying how their own characters are, even through a simple 3 minute pop song. Additionally, since this idea would have been set within a high school, it was relevant to research similar musicals. For example, Heathers the Musical, Be More Chill, and Spring Awakening are all musicals set within a high school environment. Bare the Musical stood out to me the most personally, for the simple fact that within the musical, there are high school characters putting on a Shakespeare play. The song Auditions would have been a brilliant way to inspire a script for this idea, if it would have developed into our final idea. To help with the pre existing villain/sidekick support group idea, I looked into the most iconic antagonists and minor characters both within theatre and popular movies and tv shows. For villains, I looked deeply into characters like Voldemort (Harry Potter), Pennywise the Clown (It), Ghostface (Scream), etc. For sidekicks, Ron Weasley (Harry Potter), Boq (Wicked), Robin (Batman). To help even further with this idea, I
  • 35. Aristotle s Virtue Is A Disposition That Issues Correct... In Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle understands virtue is a disposition that issues correct choice. In this essay, we are given the task to explain what Aristotle means by choice, which is in turn show that choice is not wishes, opinion, nor desire. Rather, Aristotle believes choice involves desire. So, I will explain concisely why correct choice is not a tendency to opine the correct thing to do rather correct choice is an intimate coordination between our rational and desiring faculties. Thus, controlling and coordinating what we desire and why we desire something. Ultimately, leading the agent to what the right thing they should do, full stop, regardless of numerous alternatives. We will focus on what Aristotlemeans by choice, as presented in the Nicomachean Ethics. First, we will understand what choice is not to Aristotle. For Aristotle, choice is not a wish because wishes can be related to impossibilities, such as immortality, which are things that we cannot do. Rather, what we wish for is the goal or the end that we are trying to achieve and choices are the means that will get us to the end. Next, Aristotle believes that choice is not equivalent to opinion in the sense of arriving at a beliefabout what to do. Aristotle says, it cannot be opinion; for opinion is thought to be related to all kinds of things, no less to eternal things and impossible things than to things in our own power; and it is distinguished by its falsity or truth, not by its badness or

Well there is and the name of it is dinner dandruff just like the essay by Robert Fulghum. Fulghum wrote the essay Dinner Dandruff to entertain the reader along with relating to them about a problem that everyone that washes dishes has. In the essay he uses many different types of author s style but the main three are diction, syntax, and imagery. Diction is the author s word choice while syntax is the author s sentence choice, and imagery is where you can picture what s happening while reading the story. First of all the author uses diction in the essay to create the tone by using smaller words along with more proper words. For an example in the essay it states A rational, intelligent, objective person would say that this is simply a mixture of food particles too big to go down the the drain, composed of pits of protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. People are divided on both sides of the controversy and morally the arguments are broader. The word cloning is mostly used in everyday communication to mean and represent many different technological procedures. More specifically, cloningis defined as somatic cell nuclear transfer. Human cloning is a very controversial topic as well as a tremendous breakthrough in today s technology and science. There have been many experiments on animal cloning which have been successful, and because of these discoveries, there is a belief that human cloning would be successful too. Many individuals argue that each human life is unique and born of a miracle that is beyond laboratory science. A fundamental argument is that cloning is ethically wrong, and many religious groups have rejected it saying that cloning is equivalent to playing God . And cloning goes against these certain religions because they believe only God has created life and its various forms in nature, and humans should have no right to act like God . And many others argue that human cloning should continue for many reasons. One of them being that cloned humans embryos would make research into genetics and genetically related diseases and their preventions or treatments, much easier, as well as cheaper. Embryo cloning has also been seen as a potential treatment for infertility when in vitro fertilization is not available. And this can occur when parents are infertile, or when both or one of the parents harbor a genome coding for certain undesirable traits or beliefs. Cloned embryos tissues could be used for the replacement of lost or diseased tissues. Some experts believe that embryo should not require any moral consideration. Reason being that they believe at the stage an embryo is cloned, it is basically just a bunch of cells that contain DNA, which are considered no different than the millions of skin cells we shed daily. At that stage, embryonic cells should not be considered equivalent to human beings because it does not have any self awareness, memory, feelings, thoughts, organs, legs, arms, etc. However, adult cloning might be

Throughout the play, Anita has more concern for Paulie than anyone else; she recalls stories to help herself out of the lumps. However, by recalling stories about Paulie of how much she loves him, only tortures herself knowing she doesn t know where he is. Ivan used a lot of different persuasive techniques to get the point across that there should be gender neutral restrooms in every public space and outlet. One of the impactful parts of this speech was the use of introducing personal stories. This utilizes the term logos which means evidence and reasoning. It is very difficult to open up and talk about past experiences that have heavily impacted you in some way. • 44. Describe The Structure Of Methanogenesis Methanogens are prokaryotes. A prokaryote cell does not contain a membrane bound nucleus; they range from 0.1 to 10 Вµm in total cell size. Methanogens are usually either coccoid (spherical) or bacilli (rod shaped). Each cell is surrounded by a plasma membrane. The cell has no subcellular organelles, only infoldings of the plasma membrane called mesosomes. The deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is condensed within the cytosol to form the nucleoid. The cell walls of Methanogens, like other Archaea, lack peptidoglycan. Some prokaryotes have tail like flagella. By rotation of their flagella, they have the ability to move through their surrounding media in response to chemicals or better known as chemotaxis . The flagella are made of the proteinflagellin that forms a long filament, which is attached to the flagellar motor by the flagellar hook.
