• Profile Elements (Public)
– Header Photo (2400 x 700)

Rules of Twitter
• Don’t lie, pick fights, or automate too much
• Be transparent (every tweet is public)
• Stay short, sweet, and to the point
• Use images when appropriate
• Give more than you take
• Have a personality
• Engage

• They categorize the subject/nature
• Allow you to participate in conversations

• Lists allow you to segment your followers
• Classify by category, topic, interests, etc.
• Lists can be public or private
• User is notified when they are added to a list
– Great way to get someone’s attention
Using Lists
• Keep track of topics/people that interest you
– News
– Sports
– Designers
– Authors
• Monitor your competitors
• Identify people who are part of a group
• Engage with sub-sets of users (e.g. an event)
Engaging with others
• Find and follow thought leaders in your space
• Review their bio and things they tweet
• Read, favorite, and re-tweet
• Add them to a list (“Interesting Individuals”)
• @mention them and say something nice
• Add your 2¢ when re-tweeting others
