Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

Exploring The Dimensions and Dynamics of Felt Obligation: A Bibliometric Anal...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTARCT: This study presents, to our knowledge, the first bibliometric analysis focusing on the concept of
"felt obligation," examining 120 articles published between 1986 and 2024. The aim of the study is to deepen our
understanding of the existing knowledge in the field of "felt obligation" and to provide guidance for further
research. The analysis is centered around the authors, countries, institutions, and keywords of the articles. The
findings highlight prominent researchers in this field, leading universities, and influential journals. Particularly,
it is identified that China plays a leading role in "felt obligation" research. The analysis of keywords emphasizes
the thematic focuses of these studies and provides a roadmap for future research. Finally, various
recommendations are presented to deepen the knowledge in this area and promote applied research. This study
serves as a foundation to expand and advance the understanding of "felt obligation" in the field.

Types of Twitter users
How do I find the right people and conversations?
14. 11 basic Twitter terms you need to know
Follower The basic social connection on Twitter. You follow people to see their updates and they follow you to see yours.
If you follow someone they do not have to follow you back.
Tweet Messages you send to your followers. Must be 140 characters or less
Feed Constantly updating list of tweets, usually sorted chronologically. Your homepage is a feed of tweets from the
people you follow, your profile page is a feed of your tweets.
Retweet (RT) A way to share tweets by others that you find interesting. Click at the bottom of the tweet and it will
appear in your feed and to your followers
Favorite Notifies the user that you like/agree with their tweet. Doesn’t appear in your feed.
@Mention A way to direct messages to other Twitter users. E.g. @kovamic Hi there! If used at start of tweet, it will only
appear on the homepages of people who follow me, but if you put it later in your tweet (e.g. Hi there @kovamic!)
then everyone who follows you will see it.
Direct Message (DM) Private message sent between two twitter users. Do not appear to anyone else. You can only send to someone
who is following you. Limited to 140 characters.
Hashtag Turns any word or group of words that directly follow it into a searchable link. This allows you to organize
content and track discussion topics based on those keywords. A hashtag immediately expands the reach of your
tweet beyond just those who follow you, to reach anyone interested in that hashtag phrase or keyword.
URL shortener Programs that shorten your weblinks so they don’t take up too many characters in your tweet. Bit.ly and goo.gl
are common but now Twitter has an inbuilt shortener that makes all URLs 22 characters long (t.co) leaving you
118 characters for the rest of your tweet.
Engagement The practice of responding to and making conversation with your followers and other people on Twitter. Can
be measured.
Trending When a term is extremely popular at any given time on Twitter either globally or in different regions. Trends
evaporate as quickly as they appear.

38. Using hashtags
There is no preset list of hashtags, no one “owns” hashtags.
Hashtags are only as important as the people who use them.
Popular hashtags meaning that people consistently use them.
Create a brand new hashtag simply by putting the hash before a series of
words. If it hasn't been used before, you've invented a hashtag.
39. Using hashtags
DO DON’T
Keep them short (otherwise it takes up too many
characters)
Use spaces.
Use numbers (e.g. #survivephd15) Use special characters - , . ! ? ‘ “ * &
Group multiple words together (e.g.
#Climatechange)
Use the @ symbol at the beginning of the tweet
unless you want to tweet at that user directly.
Use capitals to differentiate between words (e.g.
#FieldworkFail)
40. Some popular science hashtags
Biodiversity, ecological and environmental themes
#Biodiversity
#Conservation
#Ecology
#Environment
#Extinction
#UrbanEcology
#UrbanWildlife
#Wildlife

Don’t always need one, particularly if you’re asking a question or
having a conversation.
When you do use links, make sure you’ve copied it over right and
check it works
You can use a shortener (bit.ly, goo.gl) but Twitter will shorten the
link to 22 characters automatically.
47. Images
People see tweets more prominently
if they have an image.
If you don’t include a link in your
tweet use a photo!
Photos take 23 characters (leaving
you with 117 characters for the rest

56. Advice to presenters from the Online Academic
1. Assume everyone is going to Tweet your
presentation – every part of it.
2. Say at the beginning of your presentation that you
have data/results which are sensitive
3. Indicate specifically, which of your slides you do
not want Tweeted. Put a symbol up. That way
people can see you don’t want your stuff putting on
the web
https://onlineacademic.wordpress.com/2015/02/02/tweeting-etiquette-at-conferences/
It’s all our responsibility to be polite and think about what we do at the
conferences.
57. Can tweets tell a story?
Storify provides a way to help your audience make sense of the stream of
information flowing out of social networks.
I think of it as a very visual blog that helps you capture and curate the best
reactions and conversations around an issue or event.
Types of storify stories:
1. Key takeaways from a presentation:

advisor
2. Breaking news story:

from-a-ppd-v
3. Main outcomes from a Twitter chat:

scientific-paper
58. Using Storify
DO DON’T
Break up tweets with narrative Get bogged down in too much backstory
Include a variety of perspectives Dump redundant information
Give just enough background for readers who are
new to the story
Just use tweets
Use strong visuals Leave it too late - you can only search back 7
days*
*though you can go further back with topsy and link to your storify...it’s just a bit of mucking around
