The Golden Age Of Hollywood
From 1920s, Hollywood became one of the most notable businesses in America. The great
development of film technology and those countless creative ideas put most of the Americans into
a feeding frenzy. However, the golden age of Hollywood experienced the impact of World War II,
which led to the significant changes in film industry. At the beginning of 1960s, European film
industry gradually moved its focus to creativity and aesthetics, and the auteur theory gained more
and more attention. American films were also influenced by these European art films. Due to the
development of video filming technology, it was easier and cheaper to shoot and produce works,
so that more young people became able to show their ideas and do independent films.... Show more

Although it is because of his love to Holly, all the things he does to the guiltless father shows his
violent and remorseless characteristic, which is quite different from the traditional hero in a
teen film. The whole story is based on a real life murder spree of Charles Starkweather and his
girlfriend. To follow Starkweather s action, Kit also kills three bounty hunters, his friend Cato
and an innocent teenage couple who just arrive to visit Cato. It seems that killing people is his
way to solve problems. Compared to Badlands, Kit s idol Jim Stark still shows sympathy to his
best friend Plato, and tries to protect Plato until the end. The title Rebel without a cause may be
even more suitable to describe Kit s action that the film does not set a clear conflict between him
and the real world. What Kit mainly does is dresses a white T shirt, jeans and boots to look like
James Dean, and imitates some rebellious actions. Holly proves the reason for falling love with
him in her voice over at the beginning, He looked just like James Dean (Brickman 2014). The
initial attraction of Kit is basically due to the imagination of a dream lover from a simple and
pure 15 year old girl. After a period of killing and escaping, Holly pays less and less attention on
Kit, and she starts to refuse Kit s crazy rebel, which proves that Kit himself is not an engaging
character. Furthermore, as

Essay on Micro Unknown Lab Report
| Gram Negative Unknown| Biology 3444 006| | Lena Wallace| 11/7/2011|

Abstract:
The purpose of this lab was to identify an unknown bacteria culture using differential tests. The
identification of the unknown culture was accomplished by identifying the bacteria based on its
specific metabolic characteristics and morphology. It is suggested that culture 11 is a sample of
Enterobacter aerogenes.
Introduction:
This experiment was centered on metabolic and biochemical testing procedures. The rationale of
performing these tests was to distinguish six different microbes from one another and to compare
how their metabolic and biochemical processes differ from species to species to determine the
unknown sample. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the broth turns yellow, it means that acid was produced and reported as A. If the organism can
break down the amino acids be de amination and ammonia is produced, this will raise the pH level
turning it pink. This alkaline result was reported as K.
The Methyl Red test is a differential test for bacterial respiration used to differentiate strains of
coliform bacteria capable of performing mixed acid fermentation that will lower the pH despite
the phosphate buffer (http://faculty.deanza.fhda.edu). Mixed acid fermentation is confirmed by
using methyl red as an indicator. It is red ant pH 4.4 and below, yellow at pH 6.2 and above, and
orange in between. Red is a positive result reported as (+), yellow is a negative result reported as (
), and orange is negative or inconclusive.
The Voges Proskauer test to detect organisms that are able to ferment glucose, but convert the

The Importance Of Teamwork And Learning Processes After...
In studying and learning about human behaviour in organisation unit at University of Canberra, it
is compulsory to review the aspect of teamwork and learning processes after completing the video
project assignment. Students should critically analyse about the teamwork experience as part of
their learning processes and put it in the form of individual essay. This essay briefly discussed
about my personal experiences associated with the related teamwork. Generally speaking, the team
has done a great job in terms of goal achievement. However, the problem that I observed during the
teamwork process learningis about the lack of cohesion in group due to conflict among the members
. On the other hand, the good experience about the group is the commitment of all members of the
group to accomplish the project on time. In other words, the positive experience outweighs the
negative one, especially when all members keep their commitment towards the goal of the group.
Teamwork is the number of people who work together to achieve a goal, which they have rules
and a clear working mechanism and interdependent with each other (Andrzej and David 2013). In
general, there are five stages in the evolution of a team including forming, storming, norming,
performing and adjourning (Tuckman and Jensen as cited in Andrzej and David 2013). First, the
group experiences the forming stage when the lecture appointed all members to join in a team. We

Our Needs And Wants Essay
Our Needs and Wants: effects on our inner peace
Life, in general, has not changed over the years; it is only the surroundings and circumstances that
have changed. The way we choose to react to those changes, determines the direct effect on the
quality of our life. We need to focus on the need of distinguishing, between the ever increasing
responsibilities on our shoulders and other insignificant matters that consume our precious time.
Our needs and wants are two distinct entities. We needto separate our needs from our wants in
order to achieve satisfaction. It is definitely not a simple matter. The dilemma is that we all want
everything, but we don t need everything we want. When we can quiet the unnecessary, we can

We need to find an opportunity to coach somewhere, in fact anywhere. Find a young person, a
young team, jump in and impart training, like we would if we were coaching at the highest level.
Such initiative and experience, will give us sufficient boost to reach our goals, and actually
become a sport coach one day.
We should not be afraid to take small steps. There s something powerful about momentum...no
matter how little. Many times, the impossible is simply the untried. When we are immobilised
with fear, when each task ahead appears to be a huge one, when we are unable to lift ourselves to
face it at those moments we can break the dilemma by using two simple words: Do something! By
taking some small steps, the required momentum will begin to come into our life.
Most people don t succeed because they are too afraid to even try. As incredible as it sounds,
they decide in advance that they are going to fail. Many times, our final goal seems so distant
unachievable that we don t even make an effort. But, once we have made our decision and actually
start, it s like we are halfway

2g Scam Essay
The 2G spectrum scam in India involved the issue of 1232 licenses by the ruling Congress led
UPA alliance[1] of the 2G spectrum to 85 companies[1] including many new telecom companies
with little or no experience in the telecom sector at a price set in the year 2001. The scam involved
allegations regarding the under pricing of the 2G spectrum by the Department of
Telecommunications which resulted in a heavy loss to the exchequer, and the illegal manipulation
of the spectrum allocation process to favour select companies The issue came to light after the
auction of airwaves for 3G services which amounted to 677,190 crore (US$151.01 billion) to the
exchequer.[2] A report submitted by the Comptroller and Auditor General based on the money

Values Of Education
Values are virtues, ideals and qualities on which actions and beliefs are based. Values are guiding
principles that shape our world outlook, attitudes and conduct. (Dhunnoo. et al., n.d.). Human
beings have needs: physical and emotional. Some of these needs are catered at home while others at
school or religious institutions or the society itself. The schoolas an institution of educationis
responsible for the cognitive and affective development of the learners. However in Mauritius, our
primary school curriculum has been focusing mainly on the cognitive domain since ages. Teaching
is mostly done in a traditional way; spoon feeding and rote learning since teachers are exam
driven. They would teach students in order to prepare them for the final exams at the end of the
year, rather than for their whole life. The main goal of the education system in our... Show more

First and foremost, the philosophical perspective will focus on the field of axiology (ethics),
that is, our notions of right , good , and wrong . In my point of view, right is to abide by rules
and regulations and good refers to a virtue, that is, something that is morally right while bad is
something that is unacceptable or morally wrong. For instance, I find that greeting family
members, friends and neighbours upon meeting them is something good while misbehaving with
these people is something that is considered bad . Wearing seat belts during driving is considered
right because we are adhering to the traffic laws. Similarly, I think that helping someone in need
emotionally, physically and financially is a good action. Hence, according to me, individuals
should behave in a way that is deemed well in society; responsible, honest, respectable, caring,

Comparitive Flood Stories Essay
Comparitive Flood Stories Most comparisons between Genesis and ancient Creation or Flood
stories can be classified as comparative religious studies. They generally involve one text isolated
from its original historical context (e.g., the Babylonian creation myth Enuma Elish or the Flood
tablet of the Gilgamesh Epic) and one related biblical narrative. On the basis of currently available
evidence, their earliest known written form can be dated only to the first half of the first millenium
B.C. William Shea of Andrews University has pointed out that by using isolated, solitary Creation
or Flood stories, that we neglect a large amount of other literary critcism which can be very helpful

In 2006 as stated by the Guardian, Chief Executive of Marks Spencer Stuart Rose wanted to stretch
the company brand, for example he considered selling food online as part of a plan to become a
multi channel retailer, this was obviously to keep up with the competitive market such as Asda.
Asda and Marks Spencer appeal to different markets in terms of social class and other
demographics; this has a major influence on the way they respond to current issues.
In response to the current cheap clothing industry supermarkets have increasingly over the last few
years caught up with fashion trends, helping them to rival the high street clothing stores with their
less expensive versions. Marks Spencer is no exception to this and they have bought their clothing
ranges up to date to keep up with the latest trends and to keep their customers interested. Consumer
purchases are influenced by cultural, social, personal and psychological characteristics. For the
most part, marketers cannot control such factors, but they must take them into account .

Technological Factors
Technology is vital in the retail market. Companies must manage their brands carefully. First the
brands position must be continuously communicated to consumers. Major brand marketers often
spend huge amounts on advertising to create brand awareness and to build preference and loyalty .

Julius Robert Oppenheimer, the Man Who Created the Nuclear...
One man created a nuclear bomb, ended a world war, saved hundreds of thousands of lives, all
while creating a new wave of theoretical physics. He was born on April 22, 1904 in New York.
His father, who had come to the United States from Germany at the age of 17, was a prosperous
textile importer. His mother, Ella Freedman, was a painter who studied in Paris and came from
Baltimore. He is Julius Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was the most important person of the
twentieth century due to his creation of the School of Theoretical Physics in Berkeley, his crucial
work on the development of the atomic bomb, which ended World War II, and his thoughtful
opposition to the great destruction that could be wrought by the atomic bombs.

in H. A Bethe 191 192). Oppenheimer s role in the Manhattan Projectwas important for the United
States to develop the nuclear bomb before its opponents. If Oppenheimer was not involved, the
nuclear bomb may not have been created in time for its use in Japan, leading to hundreds of
thousands of unnecessary deaths. Estimates from the Radiation Effects Research Foundation, a
cooperative Japan US research organization, say that there were an estimated 90,000 to 166,000
casualties from the bomb dropped in Hiroshima, Japan, and an estimated 60,000 to 80,000
casualties from the bomb dropped in Nagasaki, Japan. If the United States had not had atomic
bombs as a negotiation technique, Imperial Japan would have kept fighting to keep their honor.
This would have, most likely, led to a land invasion, which would resulted in many more Japanese
and American casualties. Oppenheimer saved hundreds of thousands of lives and ended the second
world war with his work at the Manhattan Project.
However, the massive destruction wrought by the atomic bombs troubled Oppenheimer. He had not
considered the human toll that would be caused by the atomic bombs he and his team were
working so hard to create. At

Reconstruction Revisited Essay
Review of Reconstruction Revisited
In Reconstruction Revisited , Eric Foner reexamines the political, social, and economic experiences
of black and white Americans in the aftermath of the Civil War. With the help of many historian
works, Foner gives equal representation to both sides of the Reconstruction argument. Foner writes
that nowhere, was the transfer in black life more profound than in politics. The amazing political
mobilization of the black community was one of the most striking features of that period, along
with the emergence of a new black political class. At the beginning of the Reconstruction, blacks
turned to ministers and men who had achieved prominence as slaves to represent them politically.

Slave quarters were done away with and replaced by small tenant farms, with families occupying
the land. The black church emerged at this time along with black fraternal, charitable, and self
improvement organizations. Black family life was reinstituted with black women withdrawing
form field work. Foner states that Reconstruction gave birth to the modern black community. At
this time there were many white landowners attempting to recreate as much of the slave system
as possible. Many whites were not willing to see blacks on their level socially or economically.
During reconstruction, blacks were no longer forced to work as slaves however they still needed
to work to support themselves and their families. Not many blacks had skills outside of farming so
most worked the lands of the wealthy white landowners but not as slaves. They had the right to do
whatever they wanted and the landowners could do nothing about it. Wealthy landowners still
needed work hands and blacks needed an income so former slaveholders established the
sharecropping system. Land owned by a white person would be farmed by black families and they
shared the crop yield. This often resulted in the white person taking more than their share and the
black families struggled to support themselves. Sharecropping did little to help economic
advancement for blacks and was a way the white man could prevent blacks from making enough

Characteristics Of Legal Positivism
There are two approaches that can be adopted as to what would amount to a legal system. On the
one hand are theories that treat the concepts of law and legal systems having certain moral
dimensions on this view, a body of rules might be said to count as a legal system only if it is
aimed at the common good or enforcement of justice. The other approach, which is a characteristic
of legal positivism, offers an account of law and legal systems that is morally neutral in character.
Legal systems are characterized on this view, by the existence of certain types of institutional
arrangements rather than by moral purposes they may or may not serve.
The starting point for Fuller s theory is the suggestion that formal characterizations of human
institutions, independently of their purpose, must be illusory and inadequate. In other words, for
the better understanding of concepts one must know their purpose. In Fuller s opinion, the
characteristic features of legal systems that have provided the focus for legal positivist as such is ...

L. A. Hart, the concept of law need not be understood by reference to any moral standard or
purpose. Law, in Hart s view, can be used for many different purposes, some of them good and
some bad. If one had to describe a particular purpose which was a necessary feature of law, it
would have to be something highly general and morally neutral such as the provisions of rules for
the guidance of conduct . However, this is not really self explanatory or fully intelligible and
requires a further explanation. The natural law tradition of thought would supplement such an
explanation of law s purpose with an account of how rules serve justice or the common good o
other values: once one has seen how the provision of rules overcomes certain problems inherent in
the human condition, one has understood laws nature. Although, for Hart it is not that the
establishment of rules lacks a point, that it may serve huge diversity of different

Suicide Is A Serious Topic
People tend to have completely different points of views on suicide. What s yours? Do you
think it is wrong? Do you think it is right? Do you think it is stupid? Do you think it is no good
for you or anyone around you? Well, put your answers aside for a second because this paper is

is a topic that hits home to you. I think that suicideis a very serious topic in the society today. In my
eyes, suicide is the way you try to come out of how you feel, the way some people release their
feelings, the way people try to feel better, but mainly its the way people try to end it all. As a
student who has had very many situations involving suicide, either with my personal life or
with my friends lives, suicide is always brought up. Some people have the idea that suicide is a
joke, that it is just a way to get attention, that it is stupid and immature to do, that it is just a big
way to hurt yourself and others even more. I completely and utterly respect anybodies opinions
about any topic, unless you are not willing to look on the other side of the story or facts. In my
life, I was raised to see both sides of every story. That s because you can t really judge a book or a
person by their cover and when people just want to think one thing and not have the respect or the
tendency to learn about the other side of the story then how can you sit there and judge a certain
topic you don

Venture to Find Success
Nothing ventured nothing gained is one of the most famous lessons learned by many successful

In contrast, both IgM and IgG non Gal antibodies were increased when xenograft rejection was

In the movie, there are signs saying either no prawns or no humans and the humans show a major
sign of xenophobia towards the prawns. In this day in age we see a lot of hatred towards
foreigners, in particular, terrorists. In the beginning of the movie you see Blomkamp interviewing
the humans about the prawns. They show a great level of hatred and disgust for the prawns
intruding on their town. In the real world, we see this same form of hatred or disgust from certain
people about the immigrants and refugees intruding on and taking over many American s jobs.
Blomkamp wants to push the issue that there is great hatred throughout the world today. The main
reason he produced the film in Johannesburg was because there were high tensions between native
south Africans and Zimbabwean refugees. He wanted to try to make the town he grew up in great
again. Blomkamp wanted to open people s eyes with the use of science fiction to show that in some
ways we treat other humans like the humans treated the prawns. Differential Criticism studies

common ethical concerns that arise within the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model.
Robinson and Reiter (2016) illustrate these common concerns through artificial case examples that
address issues related to competence, informed consent, and confidentiality. Each of these ethical
concerns are found within any field of psychology; however, the paradigm shift that the PCBH
model reflects leads to several new questions regarding these issues. Robinson and Reiter (2016)
discussed these ethical topics particularly related to the PCBH model. The first case illustrated by
Robinson and Reiter (2016) pertains to competence within the PCBH model. Specific guidelines
are provided to demonstrate how a psychologist can gain competence within different subsects
established within the field of psychology. For example, some states have specific requirements
that a psychologist must meet in order to be recognized as a ... Show more content on

Warm handoffs are often utilized within the PCBH model, which allows a primary care provider
(PCP) to introduce the patient to the psychologist at the time of the patient s appointment with the
PCP. Although these warm handoffs are often effective, some professionals struggle with whether
the patient truly understands the role of the psychologist. Robinson and Reiter (2016) emphasize
that there is no need for a separate informed consent because the informed consent signed by the
patient at the start of the appointment encompasses the psychologist. However, it is still important
that the psychologist or behavioral health provider ensure the patient understand who he/she is,
what his/her role is, and how he/she will interact with the other members of their healthcare

Literary Allusion In The Works Of Robert Frost s Design
Poet, Robert Frost, in his poem, Design, delineates a spider s meal atop a medicinal flower. In
Design, Frost questions the nature and existence of God, whether or not the world is harshly
meaningless or coldly calculated, through his use of literary allusions, personal point of view, and
contrasting imagery. Literary allusions aid Frost in constructing his inquiry against religion, citing
the works of Epicurusand Shakespeare. The Riddle of Epicurus is especially prominent, What but
design of darkness to appall? (Frost, 13). This line calls into questionthe nature of God, paralleling
the Riddle of Epicurus by insinuating that if God is willing and able to alter the world then he is
evil and undeserving of worship. Again, Frost alludes to Epicurus when the narrator wonders if
such a paradoxical God even exists. In addition to citing ancient literature, Frost also references the
more recent play Macbeth, Like the ingredients of a witches broth (Frost, 6). This quotation
illustrates the calculated and cruel design aspect of the Epicurean Paradox, because it is
improbable that these three albino creatures would converge in the same place so Frost asks if it is
design, or coincidence, leaving the audience to choose between the two horrifying alternatives. The
Macbeth allusionalso enhances the crisp, paralyzing tone of the poem because of its own tone,
morbid and melancholic, as well as engaging the reader by referencing familiar works.
Philosophical and Shakespearean allusions in Design assist Robert Frost in creating a questioning
tone which in turn provokes the reader to question the true nature of God as well. The ending of
Design is ambiguous, leaving the audience to draw their own conclusions about religion, a result
which was achieved through first person point of view, which causes the ambivalence of the poem
to resonate with the reader. Frost questions,
What brought the kindred spider to that height, Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
(Frost, 11 12).
Through this query, the poet engages the reader and causes them to question in their own right, is
God malevolent or does he not exist? By employing this perspective, the audience sympathizes and

Gardening, Civil Disobedience, And Self Reliance
Dreams and Individuality Imagine having endless opportunities to be great and change the
world. During the late 1820s a philosophical movement developed. Transcendentalism allowed
people to think out of the box and use critical thinking. Transcendental thinking leads to positive
changes because they encourage following dreams and being individuals. To further explain
how transcendentalists thought the following essays will be discussed Gardening, Civil
Disobedience, and Self Reliance. In the essay Gardening by Bailey White the women telling her
story about starting her garden. As she stated she fell for it I don t know whether it was the
pictures on the seed packets, or the vision I had of myself, dressed all in white, strolling through
and in the Vista of poppies and daisies . This statement leads me to believe she was fascinated
with what the appearance of the garden would look like. She had it all planed out how she
would get this perfect garden and how she would even line up the rows. As years went by more
and more flowers bloomed as she weeded out all the weeds. Once all the flowers were in bloom
she no longer needed her long white lace dress and she passed it on to her sister Louise. After

The Death Of The Moth
In her essay The Death of the Moth , Virginia Woolf depicts the struggle of life confronting death
through the death of a moth. Woolf sees a moth flying in a pleasant morning, mid September, mild,
benignant (385). She uses this soft autumnal description of her morning to emphasize the beauty of
life and the happiness one feels while being alive; however, she uses the moth to represent life
itself and show its own struggles: [the moth] tried to fly across...the window pane , but he failed
(386). She uses the moth s failure and awkwardness (386) to announce deaths arrival and the moth s
constant effort to keep flying to show a desperation to hang on to life. Why moth is so attached to
life?. After perhaps a seventh attempt [the moth] slipped from the wooden ledge and fell,
fluttering his wings, onto his back on the window sill (385). No matter how bad the consequences
of the moth s attempts to fly, he was not going to surrender and after recognizing that there was
something marvelous as well as pathetic about the moth due to his constants attempts to live,
Woolf stretched out a pencil, meaning to help him to right himself , but when she notice the
approach of death... [she] laid the pencil down again (385). Woolf s use of the pencil instead of
her own fingers shows how fragile the life of the moth was and how careful she was trying to be to
help the insignificant creature (385). However, her shift from interest on the moth life to its death

Perfume, By Patrick Suskind Essay
As a German writer, the reason for which Patrick Suskind wrote his critically acclaimed novel,
Perfume, in a French setting, about the French, is questionable. However, candidate answers lie in
the setting of the novel itself. Mid 18th century France, which is adjacent to Suskind s Germany,
harboured not only a national, but global revolution of politics, economics, and social norms
through the French reforms. This had plentiful influence on all aspects of Prussia since the late
17th century (when Germany was known as Prussia) to the present. This stepping stone to a change
in practicality lied in the French Revolution and the change of identity that it instilled upon the
populace. An exploration of Grenouille and perfume in Perfume reveals their symbolism of the
critical transition from religious prominence, to humanistic considerations, to nihilistic extremes
that ensued national and global chaos after the French Revolution to represents its influence on
Germany and its constituent populace.
Perfume s mid 18th century setting boasts a religious presence through the Kingship rights
employed by Roman Catholic Church doctrines, that was gradually diminishing due to an Age of
Enlightenment paradigm shift and an introduction of humanistic and nihilistic views from the
French Revolution. In past and present days, perfume has been a symbol of religion and divine
transcendence. Incense is often depicted as a transcendent connection to God in the form of smoke

How Mentoring Is Beneficial For The Workplace As Well As A...
Mentoring is a strategy that is beneficial to increased productivity in the workplace as well as a
fulfilling love for one s career. Mentoring can take place at many levels. It can occur at an
education level or as we enter into prospective careers. Those who miss out on the opportunity to
be mentored, have a lower chance to perform at high levels or receive positions that are more
successful. Mentors and protГ©gГ© s work on challenging tasks and activities together, in an
effort to enhance the skills of the protГ©gГ©. The earlier a protГ©gГ© is taken under the wing of
a mentor proves extremely beneficial.
As we have learned white males are the majority opposed to women, ethnic women, and minorities.
The means that the chances of the mentor being a white male is extremely high, whereas the
protГ©gГ©s are likely to be any form of minority. It is often challenging to minorities (especially
women). Although, mentoring relationships are thought to be best between those who have
similarities (educational background, gender, race), it is beneficial for diverse teams to come
together sharing cultural differences, views and mindsets. Diversity actually brings forth a great
deal of benefits for shaping and building the relationships in mentoring teams. The bible shares with
us in the bible that one generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your
mighty acts (Psalms 145:4, English Standard Version). We are destined to lead others and teach

Literary Devices In Hamlet
Hamlet Analysis
To be, or not to be? That is the question, These words are spoken by Hamlet in the play Hamlet by
William Shakespeare. This quote is well known around the world and is interpreted differently, with
so much meaning behind a small soliloquy. Throughout the play, Hamlet, Shakespeare uses the
literary device to involve the audience on what is occurring but also to convey more meaning and
understanding. Shakespeare uses symbolism describe complex ideas, that help develop the plot of
the play. Another literary device he uses is imagery, he uses imagery throughout the play to give a
more accurate representation of the corrupt Denmark and the events taking place within. Lastly, he
uses allegory, the allegories are used to hide the moral all throughout the play. In Hamletthe play,
William Shakespeare, uses different literary devices to further the understanding of his writings,
through symbolism using objects to convey the meaning behind it, imagery using descriptive words
to help give a more vivid picture to the audience, and allegory to hide morals/messages behind other
things.
Throughout the play, Shakespeare uses symbolism to help the audience further understand the
meaning. The one example that stood out the most was, the poison throughout the story, for
example, ...Upon my secure hour, thy uncle stole With juice of cursed hebenon in a vial, And in
the porches of my ears did pour... (Act 3, Sn. 5, ln. 61 63). Poison was a symbol of death and

Informative Speech On Snoopy
Madelynn Parrott
Section 21
General Purpose: My general purpose is to inform.
Specific Purpose: Inform my audience about Snoopy.
Central Idea: Snoopy is so special to me because he gives me the realization that I can be myself
despite what others think, he serves as an inspiration to think adventurously, and he gives a
demonstration of how to treat the people closest to me.
Snoopy for the Win
Introduction
How many people, by a show of hands, have a dog or at some point want to get a dog?
I don t have a dog, but if I were to get one, I know exactly which dog I would get. By far, the
coolest dog in the world, cooler than the Robert Downey Jr. and yes, even cooler than James Bond
is of course Charlie Brown s beloved pet, Snoopy.
Snoopy, I believe, is the best dog to ever be drawn (motion with hand) into this world because we
can all relate to him in some way or another. He gives us three tions as I like to call them. What
do I mean by tions? I mean he gives us a realization, he gives inspiration, and he gives us a
demonstration or example to follow.
Transition
Let s first start with how Snoopy gives us a realization.
Body
Snoopy gives us the realization that it s okay to be yourself even when other people don t like it.

Chain Store Essay
Second, and most importantly to me, is the quality and high standards that chain stores possess.
In my personal experience, chain stores have a decent amount of staff available to assist you
with knowledge of product and great customer service. In the few local shops I ve stepped into, I
have rarely been greeted or assisted unless I managed to chase down a dour looking employee to
begrudgingly answer my questions. In Postrel s essay, she hits the nail on the head by asserting
the idea that whether a store is local or a chain, they are still quite similar in products they sell; A
hardware store was a hardware store, a pharmacy a pharmacy. (p. 347) The only true difference to
me is the quality of the customer service and the values the store possesses. In Augusta there are

Prostitution In Victorian
The study of Victorian prostitutes by historians came into its own in the 1970s and 1980s when
there was the feminist revival in reclaiming the female body, femininity and female sexuality,
historiographical trend reflecting social interest. Just as historians were eager to uncover the sexual
underground of Victorian society, the Victorians were as equally fascinated as they were horrified
and ashamed of the profession. In this case, we will be considering a prostitute a profession, that is
that the prostitute exchanged sexual acts for payment, be that monetarily or material goods. By
constructing the figure of the prostitute , this essay will be considering the figure to be the image,

Literacy
Despite the higher living standards of Australia, comparatively on a global basis, today almost half
of the population of Australia is facing difficulties and challenges with basic literacy, interpreting
and evaluating texts, paraphrasing and engaging with lengthy texts. (ABS, 2012)
To ensure the growth and development of students in Australia today, it has become increasingly
important for the educators to bring an improvement in the current teaching practices by making
them more effective since a well developed country is a country whose citizens are well educated
and this is done only by effective teaching strategies.
But the educators cannot be fairly considered responsible for the current situation of the literacy
levels in Australia as there are various other factors which may have led to such a situation like
internet, television, social networking. Although technology has been attributed with negative
consequences, such as the deterioration of culture, language and numeracy (REFERENCE), there
are also a number of technological advancements which have greatly aided the teaching of literacy,
such as PowerPoint, researching useful/relevant information on the Internet, SmartBoards.
Therefore, educators must adapt their teaching practices to incorporate technology into the
classroom in order to keep pace with the

The Equal Pay Act For Women And Women Working Under The...
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed into effect a landmark legislation that would
guarantee equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. However, to this
present day, women still only make, on average, 77 cents to every dollar that a male earns. This
paper focuses on some of the underlying problems as to why there is still such a large genderpay

put in place and the positive impact(s) each policy could have on women in the work place.
Lastly, we will look at some of the laws that have been in place, and how effective or ineffective
they have been.
Introduction
More than fifty years ago, in 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed landmark legislation that
would guarantee equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. The Equal
Pay Act was the first in a series of major federal and state laws that had a profound effect on job
opportunities and earnings for women over the next half century, and laid the foundation for the
movement of women into the paid labor force at unprecedented levels (whitehouse.gov).
However, there is still much more to be done. According to a recent study, American womentoday
who work full time, year round, are still only paid 77 cents for every dollar paid to their male
counterparts (Kim p.1). Women s median earnings are also lower in nearly every occupation

Rhetorical Analysis Of Speech By Ronald Reagan
Two hundred and nine thousand. That is the number of lives that were nobly given to save the
many during the invasion of Normandy (D day and the Battle of Normandy). The courageous men
and women fought continuously for days on end, climbing the jagged cliffs of Normandy, France.
Under rifle fire from gun nests from above, the allied troops were able to take control of the
coastline, but not without great sacrifice. The speech given by Ronald Reaganwas made to
commemorate those who fearlessly fought for our country and the many thousands that gave their
lives during those hard days of war. His speech had a clear message, to honor and remember those
who gave and risked their lives during the invasion of Normandy.

He uses rhetorical questions asking why they served and fought till their last breath. You were

joys of life before you. Yet, you risked everything here. Why? Why did you do it? What impelled
you to put aside the instinct for self preservation and risk your lives to take these cliffs? What
inspired all the men of the armies that met here? We look at you, and somehow we know the
answer. It was faith and belief; it was loyalty and love. (Reagan). He answers his questions with

The Legend Of Dracula
Kostova utilizes the setting in The Historian to reinforce the legitimacy of the legend of
Dracula. The reader is taken on a journey throughout time and space all over Europe, which is
made all the more realistic by Kostova s use of imagery and sensation. There are several different
locations that are quite important to the story and establishing the history of Dracula. The location
that has the most significance is Dracula s tomb. The whole story has been geared to finally
finding Dracula s tomb, and therefore finding out whether he really is still alive. The tomb is
revealed through the letters Rossi wrote while he was there. Kostova plays on the readers senses
when describing the tomb, which makes it incredibly realistic. She uses darkness and coldness to
illustrate the fear that Rossi is feeling, being in this place with the monster that is Dracula. This
groping in dimness was terrifying, and I expected at any second to be pounced on by the Thing
that had brought me there. I wondered again if I might not actually be dead if this was some
terrible version of death, which I had momentarily mistaken for a continuation of life, (Kostova,
806). While reading this, the readercan feel exactly what Rossi is feeling in that moment, which is
due to the descriptive setting. Using the senses draws the reader in, allowing them to imagine
exactly how the character is feeling and making them feel like they are right there with the
character. Because his back was now to the fire,

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Naproxen
2.RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
A great number of drugs available on the market contain an active ingredient that is poorly
soluble in water and has a low dissolution rate. Various approaches to improve these properties
exist. One of the most common approaches is the production of a solid dispersion (SD), whereas
the use of porous carriers, such as calcium carbonate, also proved to be potential.
Since naproxen is a substance with good permeability and low solubility (Class II according to
BCS), dissolution is the limiting factor that determines the speed and extent of absorption of the
active ingredient.
In the context of the master s thesis it will be investigated whether, by incorporating naproxen,
which is practically insoluble in water, into calcium ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The maximum plasma concentration is reached after 2 to 4 hours, whereas the equilibrium
concentration (steady state) is established after 4 to 5 doses, respectively within 2 to 3 days.
Plasma concentrations of naproxen are increasing in proportion to a dose of up to 500 mg, while
higher doses were less proportionate. Plasma protein increases the creatinine clearance due to the
saturation binding of naproxen.
Distribution
Plasma concentrations of naproxen are in the usual dose between 23 mg/L and 49 mg/L. 99 % of
plasma proteins bind naproxen at concentrations of up to 50 mg/L, whereas at higher concentrations
the unbound drug amount is increased. Thus, at a concentration of 473 mg/L 2.4 % of unbound
naproxen were measured. Due to the strong binding to plasma proteins, the volume of distribution
is low and amounts to only 0.9 L/kg of body weight.
Metabolism and excretion
There is no presystematic metabolism. Naproxen is extensively metabolized by the liver and
excreted almost entirely via the kidneys (97.5 to 99 %) and only a very small proportion through
feces. Less than 10 % of the active substance is excreted unconverted and 60 % in the particular
form of conjugates with glucuronic acid. The remaining portion (30 %) is subjected to
demethylation by the liver, resulting in the production of 6 O desmethyl naproxen or its conjugates.
This metabolite is pharmacologically

19th Century Ireland Research Paper
Ireland is a country that is known for it s strong Irish heritage. Ireland struggled to become
independent from Britain. When Ireland was controlled by the queen it was taken advantage of
unfairly. Britain demanded exports from Ireland as a part of the unfair sanctions imposed on them.
Ireland had to obtain a specific amount of abundant resources to keep the British homeland both
secure and well. Irelandwas fed up with European dependence upon them but they could do nothing
about this because of lack of strength against their controller of the time, Britain (Braa 2). One
thing that most countries relied on that the Irish supplied was the Potato as it was vitamin rich and
inexpensive compared to other food, so when a famineof the crop came... Show more content on

In 1798, 100,000 Irish revolted in an attempt to end all British rule was brutally crushed by the
opposition. As a result of this, two years later Britain introduced the British Act of Union in
which Ireland was a part of the United Kingdom Penal laws against the Catholic Irish lay law
from 1695 all the way until 1829 in where Ireland emancipated itself but because of the Irish lay
low tactics, this was not the biggest of deals at the time. by the mid 1800s, many high minded
English politicians and social reformers began to think that Ireland was a nation in need of
transformation, that its people now needed to be yanked into the modern world by tossing out
the old Gaelic traditions. Many at the time thought of Ireland being old fashioned and needed
modernizing. English protestants were fed up with Irish dawdling doing essentially no work .
With such a bountiful amount of crops in before years of the famine (1820 1835), Irish society
grew to an astonishing 8 million citizens and growing. With the increase in people, Britain
passed The Act of Union, greedily taking most of Ireland s profits. Even though free trade was
allowed between the two nations and tensions were at a low, Britain used Ireland as a sort of
waste land for its surplus of resources. When industrialization began to play a huge factor in
British success, it ended famous Irish linen and wool services putting many out of work. When
the British conducted the Poor Enquiry survey in 1835, it concluded up to 75% of Irish were out
of work and this needed to change. Under intense pressure from English Reformists, the British
government enacted the Poor Law Act of 1838 in which Ireland was subsided into 130 unions
(essentially counties) in which there was a board of director for each with tax payers, government
officials, and the hard working class (men, women and children

The Kingdom Of God In The Gospel Of Luke
The Kingdom of God is an idea that is near impossible to define in one sentence, however there is
one parable in the Gospel of Luke that includes numerous characteristics of the Kingdom of God
and speaks to all groups of people. The Parable of the lost son is one that describes the Kingdom
as overly generous, open to all and forgiving to those who show repentance. In this Parable, a
father s youngest son asks for half of his estate, he is reckless with what he is given, he finds
himself at a low point once he has lost everything and in the end, finds his way back to his father
and repents for what he has done. The father then not only forgives his son and takes him back but
he throws a party in celebration for his return and has the largest

Comparing Hoot Film and Novel
Hoot
Among many books that were written and later made into films, the relation between the two can
be vastly different, or practically identical. Though there are many similarities between the novel
Hoot written by Carl Hiaasen, and the film directed by Wil Shriner, there are some differences as
well. As a young man, Roy Eberhardt was a strange individual. Hoot, both the film and the novel,
are based on a boy s new life in Coconut Cove, Florida. As most would expect, starting a new life in
a place that you ve never been before, isn t exactly a cup of tea. Roy grew up being the nerdy,
low self esteemed loser of all groups. But after being successful in making a few friends here and
there, they come together to rise against an upcoming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the film, it s Roy s father whom tells Roy to do the same actions. In the novel, when Officer
Delinko s police car was spray painted as an act of rebellion, he was sleeping in a restaurant
parking lot and was awoken by his boss to talk about the incident. However, in the film, the
whole scene at the restaurant was cut out and went directly to Officer Delinko confronting his
boss in his office. Officer Delinko is an officer in the Coconut Cove police department. He is
described as being young and loyal by his boss and his dad. He is the leading, as known as only
officer investigating the vandalism at the Mother Paula s All American Pancake House
construction site, though his personal items, such as his police squad car begin to be
vandalized as well. Along with this particular incident, when Officer Delinko s police car was
spray painted in the novel, he was given a replacement squad car for the amount time that it
would take for repairs to be completed and during the film, he was given a golf cart type vehicle
to drive until his personal car was finished being repaired. During the film, when Roy had
claimed to had been bitten by a vicious dog, he told the staff his name was Ling Ho, but in the
book his told them his name was Tex. In both stories, the hospital later found out that he had been
faking the scenario and was released back into his parents custody. One major flaw within the
novel plot was it was

Positive Impact Of Social Media On The Movie Industry
Ever since the successful marketing campaign of The Blair Witch Project , studios have
progressively marketed their films in social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and
other forms of websites. This has become more apparent in recent years where films even have
their own social media accounts to share and update fans with anything related to the filmitself
whether it be interviews with the cast, trailers, movie posters, or just to simply interact with
their fans. Some movie critics claim that social media is ruining the movie industry because
films tend to get too much coverage which leads to spoilers getting revealed before the film
releases. However, I believe that social media is not only a positive for the movie industry it s
an innovation because it s a cheap and effective way to generate buzz for a film, it allows the
fans to feel more connected with the movie they re planning to see, and individuals can easily
voice their opinion about a flick whether it be positive or negative. Have you ever noticed that
people nowadays instinctively go to any social media outlet, most notably YouTube to check out
all the new movie trailers released for upcoming films, if so then you have already detected that
movie studios tend to do this in a regular basis because it s a cheap and effective way to produce
talk for their future films. The most recent example of this would have to go to Marvel Studios and
the release of the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity

  • 2. The Golden Age Of Hollywood From 1920s, Hollywood became one of the most notable businesses in America. The great development of film technology and those countless creative ideas put most of the Americans into a feeding frenzy. However, the golden age of Hollywood experienced the impact of World War II, which led to the significant changes in film industry. At the beginning of 1960s, European film industry gradually moved its focus to creativity and aesthetics, and the auteur theory gained more and more attention. American films were also influenced by these European art films. Due to the development of video filming technology, it was easier and cheaper to shoot and produce works, so that more young people became able to show their ideas and do independent films.... Although it is because of his love to Holly, all the things he does to the guiltless father shows his violent and remorseless characteristic, which is quite different from the traditional hero in a teen film. The whole story is based on a real life murder spree of Charles Starkweather and his girlfriend. To follow Starkweather s action, Kit also kills three bounty hunters, his friend Cato and an innocent teenage couple who just arrive to visit Cato. It seems that killing people is his way to solve problems. Compared to Badlands, Kit s idol Jim Stark still shows sympathy to his best friend Plato, and tries to protect Plato until the end. The title Rebel without a cause may be even more suitable to describe Kit s action that the film does not set a clear conflict between him and the real world. What Kit mainly does is dresses a white T shirt, jeans and boots to look like James Dean, and imitates some rebellious actions. Holly proves the reason for falling love with him in her voice over at the beginning, He looked just like James Dean (Brickman 2014). The initial attraction of Kit is basically due to the imagination of a dream lover from a simple and pure 15 year old girl. After a period of killing and escaping, Holly pays less and less attention on Kit, and she starts to refuse Kit s crazy rebel, which proves that Kit himself is not an engaging character. The identification of the unknown culture was accomplished by identifying the bacteria based on its specific metabolic characteristics and morphology. It is suggested that culture 11 is a sample of Enterobacter aerogenes. Introduction: This experiment was centered on metabolic and biochemical testing procedures. The rationale of performing these tests was to distinguish six different microbes from one another and to compare how their metabolic and biochemical processes differ from species to species to determine the unknown sample. ... • 4. The Importance Of Teamwork And Learning Processes After... In studying and learning about human behaviour in organisation unit at University of Canberra, it is compulsory to review the aspect of teamwork and learning processes after completing the video project assignment. Students should critically analyse about the teamwork experience as part of their learning processes and put it in the form of individual essay. This essay briefly discussed about my personal experiences associated with the related teamwork. Generally speaking, the team has done a great job in terms of goal achievement. However, the problem that I observed during the teamwork process learningis about the lack of cohesion in group due to conflict among the members . On the other hand, the good experience about the group is the commitment of all members of the group to accomplish the project on time. In other words, the positive experience outweighs the negative one, especially when all members keep their commitment towards the goal of the group. Teamwork is the number of people who work together to achieve a goal, which they have rules and a clear working mechanism and interdependent with each other (Andrzej and David 2013). In general, there are five stages in the evolution of a team including forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning (Tuckman and Jensen as cited in Andrzej and David 2013). First, the group experiences the forming stage when the lecture appointed all members to join in a team. We chose the leader to set out the goal and task ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The way we choose to react to those changes, determines the direct effect on the quality of our life. We need to focus on the need of distinguishing, between the ever increasing responsibilities on our shoulders and other insignificant matters that consume our precious time. Our needs and wants are two distinct entities. We needto separate our needs from our wants in order to achieve satisfaction. It is definitely not a simple matter. We need to find an opportunity to coach somewhere, in fact anywhere. Find a young person, a young team, jump in and impart training, like we would if we were coaching at the highest level. There s something powerful about momentum...no matter how little. Many times, the impossible is simply the untried. When we are immobilised with fear, when each task ahead appears to be a huge one, when we are unable to lift ourselves to face it at those moments we can break the dilemma by using two simple words: Do something! By taking some small steps, the required momentum will begin to come into our life. Most people don t succeed because they are too afraid to even try. As incredible as it sounds, they decide in advance that they are going to fail. Many times, our final goal seems so distant unachievable that we don t even make an effort. In 2006 as stated by the Guardian, Chief Executive of Marks Spencer Stuart Rose wanted to stretch the company brand, for example he considered selling food online as part of a plan to become a multi channel retailer, this was obviously to keep up with the competitive market such as Asda. Asda and Marks Spencer appeal to different markets in terms of social class and other demographics; this has a major influence on the way they respond to current issues. In response to the current cheap clothing industry supermarkets have increasingly over the last few years caught up with fashion trends, helping them to rival the high street clothing stores with their less expensive versions. Marks Spencer is no exception to this and they have bought their clothing ranges up to date to keep up with the latest trends and to keep their customers interested. Foner writes that nowhere, was the transfer in black life more profound than in politics. Slave quarters were done away with and replaced by small tenant farms, with families occupying the land. The black church emerged at this time along with black fraternal, charitable, and self improvement organizations. Black family life was reinstituted with black women withdrawing form field work. Foner states that Reconstruction gave birth to the modern black community. At this time there were many white landowners attempting to recreate as much of the slave system as possible. Many whites were not willing to see blacks on their level socially or economically. During reconstruction, blacks were no longer forced to work as slaves however they still needed to work to support themselves and their families. Not many blacks had skills outside of farming so most worked the lands of the wealthy white landowners but not as slaves. They had the right to do whatever they wanted and the landowners could do nothing about it. Wealthy landowners still needed work hands and blacks needed an income so former slaveholders established the sharecropping system. Land owned by a white person would be farmed by black families and they shared the crop yield. This often resulted in the white person taking more than their share and the black families struggled to support themselves. • 14. Characteristics Of Legal Positivism There are two approaches that can be adopted as to what would amount to a legal system. On the one hand are theories that treat the concepts of law and legal systems having certain moral dimensions on this view, a body of rules might be said to count as a legal system only if it is aimed at the common good or enforcement of justice. The other approach, which is a characteristic of legal positivism, offers an account of law and legal systems that is morally neutral in character. Legal systems are characterized on this view, by the existence of certain types of institutional arrangements rather than by moral purposes they may or may not serve. The starting point for Fuller s theory is the suggestion that formal characterizations of human institutions, independently of their purpose, must be illusory and inadequate. • 21. Literary Allusion In The Works Of Robert Frost s Design Poet, Robert Frost, in his poem, Design, delineates a spider s meal atop a medicinal flower. In Design, Frost questions the nature and existence of God, whether or not the world is harshly meaningless or coldly calculated, through his use of literary allusions, personal point of view, and contrasting imagery. Literary allusions aid Frost in constructing his inquiry against religion, citing the works of Epicurusand Shakespeare. The Riddle of Epicurus is especially prominent, What but design of darkness to appall? (Frost, 13). This line calls into questionthe nature of God, paralleling the Riddle of Epicurus by insinuating that if God is willing and able to alter the world then he is evil and undeserving of worship. Again, Frost alludes to Epicurus when the narrator wonders if such a paradoxical God even exists. In addition to citing ancient literature, Frost also references the more recent play Macbeth, Like the ingredients of a witches broth (Frost, 6). This quotation illustrates the calculated and cruel design aspect of the Epicurean Paradox, because it is improbable that these three albino creatures would converge in the same place so Frost asks if it is design, or coincidence, leaving the audience to choose between the two horrifying alternatives. The Macbeth allusionalso enhances the crisp, paralyzing tone of the poem because of its own tone, morbid and melancholic, as well as engaging the reader by referencing familiar works. Philosophical and Shakespearean allusions in Design assist Robert Frost in creating a questioning tone which in turn provokes the reader to question the true nature of God as well. The ending of Design is ambiguous, leaving the audience to draw their own conclusions about religion, a result which was achieved through first person point of view, which causes the ambivalence of the poem to resonate with the reader. Frost questions, What brought the kindred spider to that height, Then steered the white moth thither in the night? (Frost, 11 12). Through this query, the poet engages the reader and causes them to question in their own right, is God malevolent or does he not exist? By employing this perspective, the audience sympathizes and identifies ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. The Death Of The Moth In her essay The Death of the Moth , Virginia Woolf depicts the struggle of life confronting death through the death of a moth. Woolf sees a moth flying in a pleasant morning, mid September, mild, benignant (385). She uses this soft autumnal description of her morning to emphasize the beauty of life and the happiness one feels while being alive; however, she uses the moth to represent life itself and show its own struggles: [the moth] tried to fly across...the window pane , but he failed (386). She uses the moth s failure and awkwardness (386) to announce deaths arrival and the moth s constant effort to keep flying to show a desperation to hang on to life. Why moth is so attached to life?. After perhaps a seventh attempt [the moth] slipped from the wooden ledge and fell, fluttering his wings, onto his back on the window sill (385). No matter how bad the consequences of the moth s attempts to fly, he was not going to surrender and after recognizing that there was something marvelous as well as pathetic about the moth due to his constants attempts to live, Woolf stretched out a pencil, meaning to help him to right himself , but when she notice the approach of death... [she] laid the pencil down again (385). • 24. Perfume, By Patrick Suskind Essay As a German writer, the reason for which Patrick Suskind wrote his critically acclaimed novel, Perfume, in a French setting, about the French, is questionable. However, candidate answers lie in the setting of the novel itself. Mid 18th century France, which is adjacent to Suskind s Germany, harboured not only a national, but global revolution of politics, economics, and social norms through the French reforms. This had plentiful influence on all aspects of Prussia since the late 17th century (when Germany was known as Prussia) to the present. This stepping stone to a change in practicality lied in the French Revolution and the change of identity that it instilled upon the populace. An exploration of Grenouille and perfume in Perfume reveals their symbolism of the critical transition from religious prominence, to humanistic considerations, to nihilistic extremes that ensued national and global chaos after the French Revolution to represents its influence on Germany and its constituent populace. Perfume s mid 18th century setting boasts a religious presence through the Kingship rights employed by Roman Catholic Church doctrines, that was gradually diminishing due to an Age of Enlightenment paradigm shift and an introduction of humanistic and nihilistic views from the French Revolution. In past and present days, perfume has been a symbol of religion and divine transcendence. Incense is often depicted as a transcendent connection to God in the form of smoke and scent, ... • 26. How Mentoring Is Beneficial For The Workplace As Well As A... Mentoring is a strategy that is beneficial to increased productivity in the workplace as well as a fulfilling love for one s career. Mentoring can take place at many levels. It can occur at an education level or as we enter into prospective careers. Those who miss out on the opportunity to be mentored, have a lower chance to perform at high levels or receive positions that are more successful. Mentors and protГ©gГ© s work on challenging tasks and activities together, in an effort to enhance the skills of the protГ©gГ©. The reader is taken on a journey throughout time and space all over Europe, which is made all the more realistic by Kostova s use of imagery and sensation. There are several different locations that are quite important to the story and establishing the history of Dracula. The location that has the most significance is Dracula s tomb. The whole story has been geared to finally finding Dracula s tomb, and therefore finding out whether he really is still alive. The tomb is revealed through the letters Rossi wrote while he was there. Kostova plays on the readers senses when describing the tomb, which makes it incredibly realistic. She uses darkness and coldness to illustrate the fear that Rossi is feeling, being in this place with the monster that is Dracula. This groping in dimness was terrifying, and I expected at any second to be pounced on by the Thing that had brought me there. I wondered again if I might not actually be dead if this was some terrible version of death, which I had momentarily mistaken for a continuation of life, (Kostova, 806). Various approaches to improve these properties exist. One of the most common approaches is the production of a solid dispersion (SD), whereas the use of porous carriers, such as calcium carbonate, also proved to be potential. Since naproxen is a substance with good permeability and low solubility (Class II according to BCS), dissolution is the limiting factor that determines the speed and extent of absorption of the active ingredient. Plasma protein increases the creatinine clearance due to the saturation binding of naproxen. Distribution Plasma concentrations of naproxen are in the usual dose between 23 mg/L and 49 mg/L. 99 % of plasma proteins bind naproxen at concentrations of up to 50 mg/L, whereas at higher concentrations the unbound drug amount is increased. Thus, at a concentration of 473 mg/L 2.4 % of unbound naproxen were measured. Some movie critics claim that social media is ruining the movie industry because films tend to get too much coverage which leads to spoilers getting revealed before the film releases. However, I believe that social media is not only a positive for the movie industry it s an innovation because it s a cheap and effective way to generate buzz for a film, it allows the fans to feel more connected with the movie they re planning to see, and individuals can easily voice their opinion about a flick whether it be positive or negative. Have you ever noticed that people nowadays instinctively go to any social media outlet, most notably YouTube to check out all the new movie trailers released for upcoming films, if so then you have already detected that movie studios tend to do this in a regular basis because it s a cheap and effective way to produce talk for their future films.
