WHAT IS GOOGLE ADWORDS ?
Google AdWords is an advertising service by Google for businesses wanting to display ads on Google
and its advertising network. The AdWords program enables businesses to set a budget for advertising
and only pay when people click the ads. The ad service is largely focused on keywords.
An Overview For Advertisers:
Google AdWords is Google's
online advertising program
that lets you reach new
customers and grow your
business.
With AdWords, you choose
where your ad appears, set
a budget you're comfortable
with, and measure the
impact of your ad.
There's no minimum
spending commitment. You
can pause or stop anytime
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER BEFORE CREATING A CAMPAIGN ON
ADWORDS
Select your campaign type
and name.
First, choose the campaign
type—for now, we highly
recommend the “Search
Network only” option, then
give your campaign a name.
Also remove the tick next to
“Include search partners”
for now (you can always
change this later).
Choose the geographic location
where you’d like ads to show.
Next, decide how large or small a
geographic area you want to
target. You can choose whole
countries, regions of countries,
states or provinces, cities—even
U.S. Congressional districts. You
can also choose custom-
designated geographic areas,
such as latitude-longitude
coordinates or the radius of a set
number of miles or kilometers
around a specific address. Click
“Let me choose ...” and then
search for the most appropriate
area for you.
Choose your “bid strategy,” and set your daily
budget. Change the default “Bid strategy” to “I’ll
manually set my bids for clicks.” This gives you
more control and will help you learn AdWords
at a greater level of understanding. You can
always change to one of the many automatic
options later.
Your daily budget is the maximum that
Google is authorized to charge you per day.
Chances are, you'll hit that maximum most
days.
Google offers several payment options:
“You can make payments before your
ads show (manual payments) or make
payments after your ads show
Set your daily budget so that if you screw up
big-time, your checking account won’t get
emptied out. You can always come back and
bump it up, but it’s important to have a
safety net.
WHAT IS CAMPAIGN IN ADWORDS?
Your AdWords account
can have one or many
ad campaigns running.
Campaign is a set of ad
groups (ads, keywords,
and bids) that share
a budget
location
targeting, and
other settings.
Campaigns are often used
to organize categories of
products or services that
you offer.
LETS UNDERSTAND A CAMPAIGN WITH THE HELP OF AN EXAMPLE.

rules by
google,you
need to have
2 ads for
each ad
group.
Name of your
campaign goes here
You can have
same or
different
keywords for
both the ads.
Also you can
have only 1
or more
keyword for
an ad
Now suppose we need to create a campaign for a particular classes lets
say Abc classes for certain courses they offer like java,php,android. So we
need to create an ad group for each course.
The entire thing should be like this
Campaign Name – Abc Classes
Ad Group 1 –PHP
Ad1 for php
Ad2 for php
And minimum 2 keywords for respective ads
And same for java and android.
Lets see how to do that.
NOW LETS CREATE A CAMPAIGN FOR A CLASSES WITH THE FOLLOWING

Sign up for an AdWords account. Once you're logged in, click the “Create your first
campaign” button.
find the “Get started now” button.
To start your campaign, go to https://adwords.google.com.
NOW WE WILL SEE HOW TO CREATE CAMPAIGN IN
ADWORDS
Imp Note : Use the Adwords Keywords Planner tool before you start with your campaign.It will help you for finding your
appropriate keywords.

We will choose Search Network Only Campaign Type.

Click to target specific location
Choose specific lang
You can select radius targeting which means a specific miles or just write a name directly in search box and click done.

You can add any ad extension if
you want them to show with your
ads.
Campaign is created.Next step is to create ad groups
1. Your landing page should be relevant to the ad group,
should be attractive and also it should contain some sort of
enquiry form for the viewers to connect with you.

keywords
You will automatically get ideas for
keywords here once you start typing
the keywords which you can use.
Next step is to create ads for Php ad group.

You can see the preview of
how your ad will look

This path is just for the viewer it wont affect your
original url
You need to create at
least 2 ads for 1 ad
group
Click on this to create
another ad
You can change keywords for ad2 if you want or use the same ones you used for ad1.
You can see that two ads are created for our ad group Php Course with same keywords
Now click
You can see the details of your campaign here

Click on ads tab to view your ads
Your
ads
Click on keywords tab to view your keywords. Note that they are not showing eligible in
status . Lets see how to make them eligible.
You need to add
these amount to the
cpc box and click save
You can see that both the keywords are eligible now which is what we want.
Now complete all the ad groups in the same manner. Click on the ad group tab and
repeat the steps.
After completing all the ad groups you will see the following screen.

Note that it takes 1 day for your ads to get approved
After 1 day your ads are approved
Now your campaign is ready. All you have to do now is make the payments under billing
settings and you are all set to show your ads live on search engine. Minimum you need to
have 500rs
So that’s it your first campaign is ready. You can make several such campaigns and pause a particular
campaign if you don’t want it to be live.
You can also pause a particular ad group or a particular ad ,depending on
your needs.
Also check the quality score of your keywords,if it is greater or equal to five that’s a good
score but a score less than five is not acceptable.

You can add particular
column too if you cant find
it directly .
Lets see how to do that.
Go to Columns tab ->Modify Columns and then choose the columns you want
to see.

How to setup campaign in googleadwords

  • 2. WHAT IS GOOGLE ADWORDS ? Google AdWords is an advertising service by Google for businesses wanting to display ads on Google and its advertising network. The AdWords program enables businesses to set a budget for advertising and only pay when people click the ads. The ad service is largely focused on keywords. An Overview For Advertisers: Google AdWords is Google's online advertising program that lets you reach new customers and grow your business. With AdWords, you choose where your ad appears, set a budget you're comfortable with, and measure the impact of your ad. There's no minimum spending commitment. You can pause or stop anytime
  • 3. IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER BEFORE CREATING A CAMPAIGN ON ADWORDS Select your campaign type and name. First, choose the campaign type—for now, we highly recommend the “Search Network only” option, then give your campaign a name. Also remove the tick next to “Include search partners” for now (you can always change this later). Choose the geographic location where you’d like ads to show. Next, decide how large or small a geographic area you want to target. You can choose whole countries, regions of countries, states or provinces, cities—even U.S. Congressional districts. You can also choose custom- designated geographic areas, such as latitude-longitude coordinates or the radius of a set number of miles or kilometers around a specific address. Click “Let me choose ...” and then search for the most appropriate area for you. Choose your “bid strategy,” and set your daily budget. Change the default “Bid strategy” to “I’ll manually set my bids for clicks.” This gives you more control and will help you learn AdWords at a greater level of understanding. You can always change to one of the many automatic options later. Your daily budget is the maximum that Google is authorized to charge you per day. Chances are, you'll hit that maximum most days. Google offers several payment options: “You can make payments before your ads show (manual payments) or make payments after your ads show Set your daily budget so that if you screw up big-time, your checking account won’t get emptied out. You can always come back and bump it up, but it’s important to have a safety net.
  • 4. WHAT IS CAMPAIGN IN ADWORDS? Your AdWords account can have one or many ad campaigns running. Campaign is a set of ad groups (ads, keywords, and bids) that share a budget location targeting, and other settings. Campaigns are often used to organize categories of products or services that you offer.
  • 5. LETS UNDERSTAND A CAMPAIGN WITH THE HELP OF AN EXAMPLE. CAMPAIGN NAME AD GROUP 1 AD 1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD 2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD GROUP 2 AD 1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD 2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD GROUP 3 AD1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD2 As per new rules by google,you need to have 2 ads for each ad group. Name of your campaign goes here You can have same or different keywords for both the ads. Also you can have only 1 or more keyword for an ad
  • 6. Now suppose we need to create a campaign for a particular classes lets say Abc classes for certain courses they offer like java,php,android. So we need to create an ad group for each course. The entire thing should be like this Campaign Name – Abc Classes Ad Group 1 –PHP Ad1 for php Ad2 for php And minimum 2 keywords for respective ads And same for java and android. Lets see how to do that.

NOW LETS CREATE A CAMPAIGN FOR A CLASSES WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION Abc Classes AD GROUP 1 PHP AD 1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD 2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD GROUP 2 JAVA AD 1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD 2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD GROUP 3 ANDROID AD1 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD 2 AD2 • KEYWORD 1 • KEYWORD2
  • 8. Sign up for an AdWords account. Once you're logged in, click the “Create your first campaign” button. find the “Get started now” button. To start your campaign, go to https://adwords.google.com. NOW WE WILL SEE HOW TO CREATE CAMPAIGN IN ADWORDS Imp Note : Use the Adwords Keywords Planner tool before you start with your campaign.It will help you for finding your appropriate keywords.
  • 9. 1. Insert your gmail address 2. Select your country 3.
  • 11. 1 2 3 We will choose Search Network Only Campaign Type.
  • 12. 1. Give name 2. Select standard
  • 13. Click to target specific location Choose specific lang
  • 14. You can select radius targeting which means a specific miles or just write a name directly in search box and click done. Click

  • 16. You can add any ad extension if you want them to show with your ads.
  • 17. Campaign is created.Next step is to create ad groups 1. Your landing page should be relevant to the ad group, should be attractive and also it should contain some sort of enquiry form for the viewers to connect with you. 2. 3. 4. Insert relevant keywords You will automatically get ideas for keywords here once you start typing the keywords which you can use.

  • 19. Next step is to create ads for Php ad group. 1 2 3 4 You can see the preview of how your ad will look 5 . Click on save ad below This path is just for the viewer it wont affect your original url
  • 20. You need to create at least 2 ads for 1 ad group Click on this to create another ad
  • 21. You can change keywords for ad2 if you want or use the same ones you used for ad1.
  • 22. You can see that two ads are created for our ad group Php Course with same keywords Now click
  • 23. You can see the details of your campaign here Campaingn name Ad group
  • 24. Click on ads tab to view your ads Your ads
  • 25. Click on keywords tab to view your keywords. Note that they are not showing eligible in status . Lets see how to make them eligible.
  • 26. You need to add these amount to the cpc box and click save

  • 28. You can see that both the keywords are eligible now which is what we want.
  • 29. Now complete all the ad groups in the same manner. Click on the ad group tab and repeat the steps.
  • 30. After completing all the ad groups you will see the following screen. Your ad groups
  • 31. All your ads Note that it takes 1 day for your ads to get approved
  • 32. After 1 day your ads are approved
  • 33. Now your campaign is ready. All you have to do now is make the payments under billing settings and you are all set to show your ads live on search engine. Minimum you need to have 500rs
  • 34. So that’s it your first campaign is ready. You can make several such campaigns and pause a particular campaign if you don’t want it to be live.
  • 35. You can also pause a particular ad group or a particular ad ,depending on your needs. Also check the quality score of your keywords,if it is greater or equal to five that’s a good score but a score less than five is not acceptable.
