This document provides tips for using a PowerPoint presentation (PPT) for active learning sessions: 1. The PPT can be freely downloaded, edited, and modified. 2. Many slides are intentionally blank except for the title to prompt student discussion. 3. The instructor should first show blank slides related to a topic, ask students what they know, and then show the next slide with information. 4. This process repeats through multiple revisions for active engagement. 5. The technique is useful for self-study as well.
