Descartes discusses that physical objects are more known distinctly through the mind than through the
body and explains his reason further in the Wax Argument. The Wax Argument describes how
Descartes wanted to show that we come to know things using the intellectual parts of our brain rather

Essentially, every culture has their own unique genre of music. The question of what is good music, is

To start off, I really enjoy the beat that Bryce uses on this track. This song features an upbeat rhythm,
and the lyrics compliment the beat. The entire song is supposed to deliver a nostalgic feel to the
listener. Throughout the song, He incorporates popular themes from his childhood into the lyrics, and
the music video features these themes throughout. For me, I think the nostalgic theme works well with
this song. It provides a happy, carefree feeling to the listener. When I listen to this song, it personally
brings back feeling and memories from the summer I was shown it. Because of this, I believe the
nostalgic theme of the song is a good fit. Another reason this is good music is because of the lyrics.
These lyrics break away from the typical stereotype that is expected from rap/hip hop music. It seems
that recently, few popular songs have lyrics with meaning. Most feature lyrics that will appeal to the
masses to sell the most records. This is where Bryce Vine differentiates himself from these artists. His
lyrics share stories and experiences from his life, and are very personalized for the listener. I recently
went to one of his concerts he had in East Lansing, and when he performed Sour Patch Kids, the entire

obstacles to stay on budget.

The King s Speech (2010) follows King George VI, referred to as Bertie throughout the film, as he

Throughout our lives, we have buried our dead. It is a normal process, embedded into our culture
since, to what seems so to us at least, the beginning. However, we never thought to ask ourselves

our dead in a ritualistic way. There is evidence of our distant cousins Homo neanderthalensis, or

Lovelace s poem To Althea, from Prison expresses two concepts: the impossibility of imprisoning the
mind and therefore the impossibility of repressing one s belief in a cause, or in this case, a person. The
initial lack of explicitness of the meaning of the poem is exemplified by the mysteriousness of the
woman, Althea, who is rather unspecific in description, and ethereal, described as divine. Whether or
not the woman was real, or herself imaginary is unimportant to the poem, which is all about the lack
of division between true reality and reality of the mind. The juxtaposition between the body and the
mind reflects the same conflict within Lovelace himself, and in fact all Cavalier poets: the altogether
real matters of war and politics and the expression of poetry and imagination.
It is interesting that while the speaker is writing of freedom and the indomitability of the mind, he
describes himself as being tangled to Althea s hair and fetter d to her eye. This is language
undoubtedly of constraint, and seems to work in contention with the what in fact the speaker is
expressing; in fact, Lovelace is trying to express that even behind bars, and tangled and fetter d in his

Though, the majority of students who go through this inevitable admissions procedure typically do not
meet the Wizard of Oz after traveling the yellow brick road in hopes of being granted their first choice
for higher education.
Sue Biermert explained to our junior class that night that life is about taking risks and facing problem
after problem. It was obviously not getting any easier by applying to colleges. However, this is what
we all had to do in order to feel like our parents in thirty years, because our culture has forced us to be

The admissions process is analyzed by determining what ideal students are, as a more concrete answer
may be deduced about how this admissions game works and how to solve this equation. A profitable
