This document provides steps to delegate permissions for a user or group in Project Online. It explains how an admin user can act as another user through delegation in PWA (Project Online) without needing the other user's login credentials. The key steps include logging in as an admin, selecting "Manage Delegates" in settings, adding a new delegation by selecting the delegate user, dates, and person being delegated for, and then starting the delegate session to act as the other user. Delegation can then be stopped by selecting the same user and clicking "Stop Delegate session".

1. How to Delegate permissionforaUser’sor Group in Projectonline.
Today I am writingabouthowto delegate permissionforauser’sand Groupsin Projectonline stepby
stepwithscreenshots.
We have optioninPWA (projectonline) todelegateandact userrole same account fromany of the
users.
Example:we have adminaccountandwe needtoupdate some dataor Timesheetforauser’s,butwe
don’thave theiruseridand password.
But still we canuse the particularuserforupdatingtimesheetinProject PWA,we are functioningthe
same for Projectonline,alsowe canuse thisfor on premisesas well.
Followthe belowstepstoDelegate the userpermissionusingAdminaccount:
 Loginto the PWA site withauthorizeduseraccountandpassword.
 Nowclickon Gear box fromright side of page calledsettingandselectPWA setting.
 Clickon the Mange DelegatesunderPersonal settingonthe firstoptionof PWA setting.
 On the Manage delegate’spage,we willgettingoptionfromRibbonpage calledDelegations,
selectthe same andclickon newoptiontocreate new delegation.

2.  Once clickedonnew,itwill take usto Adddelegationpage,where we needtosetfollowing
optionstoconfigure properly.
Set DelegationPeriod*: Selectthe periodduring whichthe delegate will be able to manage work
From date to next To Date*: betweenthese date user can access the delegation.
Set Delegate *: The delegate that you want to manage work during the specifiedperiod
Workingon Behalf Of*: The personwho requiresa substitute
 Afterfeedingall requiredfieldclickonsave totake effect.
 Once you will save this,youwill redirectingtoDelegationpage,where youcansee youraccount
isaddedas delegate the users.
 NowTo start the delegation,clickonPWA settingfromGearbox of the page and select Actas a
Delegate
 Nowon the Act as page,selectcreateddelegationuserandclickon Start Delegate session from
DelegationRibbonpage.

3.  Once you will startthe sessionyouwill gettingthe delegationactas informationonthe page,
whichisabout youare actingthispage as mentioneduser.
Note:We can stop the delegationbyselectingsame user underthe Act as delegationfromPWA
settingand stop delegatesfrom above screen.
