An American psychologist outlined 10 things that are important for living a happy life, including doing work you love, taking care of your health, having goals, accepting life's ups and downs, living in the present without regret or anxiety, thinking carefully before making decisions, focusing on those less fortunate, smiling and keeping optimistic company, making others happy, and renewing your own happiness through joyful occasions. The psychologist also said to enjoy the present and look for ways to prevent future pain.
