Jesus, the Son of Man, reveals through Hebrews 2: 6-16 that he is in fact a human being.

2. It has been testified somewhere,
“What is man that thou art mindful of him, or the
son of man, that thou carest for him?
(7) Thou didst make him for a little while lower
than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory
and honour,
(8) putting everything in subjection under his feet.”

3. “But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and
honour because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for
everyone.
(10) For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to
glory, should make the pioneer of their
(11) salvation perfect through suffering. For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have all
one origin. That is why he is not
(12) ashamed to call them brethren, saying.
“I will proclaim thy name to my brethren,
in the midst of the congregation I will praise thee.”

4. “And again, “I will put my trust in him.”
And again, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”
(14) Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of
the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death,
that
(15) is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong
(16) bondage. For surely it is not with witches that he is concerned but with
the descendants of Abraham.”

5. In order to fulfil the scripture, Jesus would obviously have to be human, seeing that God made him
higher than creatures but yet lower than angels. Why did God do this? He did this so that Jesus, like humans,
could suffer death and make him humble from it.
In order to save the people, he first had to be like them, so he partook their nature and shared in their
flesh and blood. This put him in a better position to bring salvation to everyone, so that he might destroy, through
his death, the devil who has control over the power of death. Thus enabling him, to better save those who were
fearful of death and as a result were subject to lifelong bondage.
It is also revealed that God rewarded him with glory and honour for his suffering of death, by putting
everything in subjection under his feet. ‘Putting everything in subjection under his feet, meant that God left
nothing outside humanity’s control.
