3. God said:
On the same day the Lord made a
covenant with Abram, saying:
“To your descendants I have given this
land, from the river of Egypt to the great
river, the River Euphrates— the Kenites,
the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, the
Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the
Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites,
and the Jebusites.” (Genesis 15:18-21,
NKJV)

4. He confirmed it in:
• Numbers 34:1-12
• Ezekiel 47:13-20

5. He sent Joshua into the Promised Land:
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it
came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the
son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: 2 “Moses My
servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this
Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I
am giving to them—the children of Israel. 3 Every
place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I
have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the
wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great
river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the
Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going
down of the sun, shall be your territory. (Joshua
1:1-4)

6. When Solomon was King:
Israel was at the peak of its power
and size.
And yet, only 10% of the land was
occupied.
What happened?

7. Why?
Every place that the sole of your foot
will tread upon I have given you, as I
said to Moses. (Joshua 1:3)
They never took the land…
What a pity!

8. Does this apply to us?
Yes it does.
How much of the Spirit-filled life are
you living?
Are you walking in the fullness of the
life that Jesus Christ died and rose
from the grave to give us?

9. We are no different…
Just like Israel, we must walk in it:
Every place that the sole of your foot
will tread upon I have given you, as I
said to Moses. (Joshua 1:3)

11. You gotta put your soul into it!
We must walk in it with all of our
heart, mind, and soul:
Jesus said to him, You shall love the
LORD your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your
mind. This is the first and great
commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38)

12. It is a life of sacrifice:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not
war according to the flesh. For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal but
mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
casting down arguments and every high
thing that exalts itself against the
knowledge of God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
and being ready to punish all disobedience
when your obedience is fulfilled. (2
Corinthians 10:3-6)

13. And it is difficult:
