Week 3 Discussion Post 1
Tip 3: Make eye contact and share facial expressions
I believe in making eye contact when you are speaking to anyone. Making eye contact with the
person or people your taking shows respect and you will get respect back.
1. Respect – In the ole United States when making eye contact with the person or a group
of people show respect and return you will earn respect back. I love the saying “eyes are
the window to the soul.” When you make eye contact with people, they can fell the
sincerity when you make the eye contact. So making eye contact you will receive
genuine respect when you pay attention with your eyes.
2. Interest – Making eye contact with someone that like or love why would not make eye
contact. When you make eye contact with smile may take various in ways,( depending
on the person, it can say that you like what they saying or it can say you love them, may
have bond with that person. ) But someone can feelintimidated if you hold the eye
contact to long depending on the situation.
When I take about something that I really love or excited my eyes get big and my mom
always told to “pop my eyes back in”. Mom told me my eyes bugs out really big when
I am excited about something that I talking when am really excited. When you look
down or away will show you do not care or not interest. But sometime making direct eye
contact can be intimidating depending on the situation. Like when animal is trying to
become the Alpha of the pack, so direct eye contact with the animal can be intimidating,
it shows the other that the Alpha means business.
3. Appreciation – You can pass pm appreciation more easily with your eyes – when you
look into their own. With the appropriate eye contact, the person or group people give
more meaningful look
4. Understanding – When you locking eye contact with someone, might be all you need
to get to the point across of what you mean. When someone lock eye contact with me I
feel very intimidated at times.
5. Eye contact can be the difference between seeming aloof and a new
friendship. Making eye contact with new people that comes into your life can change
things. Like making new friend, love relationship, or an enemy. I like to make eye
contact with everyone I came into contact. I have made severalfriends, but someone
know my weakness,so they knew how to use it against me.
Tip 8: Non-Verbal
Ever since I was young I talk with my hands.My hands always needs to be doing something.
Only 20% in communication is verbal and the other 80% is non-verbal. By having body language is very
important. You just need to move naturally around.
Avoid
 Pacing
 Hands in pocket
 Your armed cross
 Moving too fast
Tip 9: Relax, Breathe and Enjoy
Justremembertorelax,breathe andenjoy.Firstwhenyouneedtotake adeepbreathe before youget
started,secondrelax whenyouare relaxeditmake iteasierandthe listenerwill be able tounderstand
youbetter,whenyouare nottense up,and thirdenjoywhatyouare talkingabout

How can you make a good presentation even more effective?

  • 1. Week 3 Discussion Post 1 Tip 3: Make eye contact and share facial expressions I believe in making eye contact when you are speaking to anyone. Making eye contact with the person or people your taking shows respect and you will get respect back. 1. Respect – In the ole United States when making eye contact with the person or a group of people show respect and return you will earn respect back. I love the saying “eyes are the window to the soul.” When you make eye contact with people, they can fell the sincerity when you make the eye contact. So making eye contact you will receive genuine respect when you pay attention with your eyes. 2. Interest – Making eye contact with someone that like or love why would not make eye contact. When you make eye contact with smile may take various in ways,( depending on the person, it can say that you like what they saying or it can say you love them, may have bond with that person. ) But someone can feelintimidated if you hold the eye contact to long depending on the situation. When I take about something that I really love or excited my eyes get big and my mom always told to “pop my eyes back in”. Mom told me my eyes bugs out really big when I am excited about something that I talking when am really excited. When you look down or away will show you do not care or not interest. But sometime making direct eye contact can be intimidating depending on the situation. Like when animal is trying to become the Alpha of the pack, so direct eye contact with the animal can be intimidating, it shows the other that the Alpha means business. 3. Appreciation – You can pass pm appreciation more easily with your eyes – when you look into their own. With the appropriate eye contact, the person or group people give more meaningful look 4. Understanding – When you locking eye contact with someone, might be all you need to get to the point across of what you mean. When someone lock eye contact with me I feel very intimidated at times. 5. Eye contact can be the difference between seeming aloof and a new friendship. Making eye contact with new people that comes into your life can change things. Like making new friend, love relationship, or an enemy. I like to make eye contact with everyone I came into contact. I have made severalfriends, but someone know my weakness,so they knew how to use it against me. Tip 8: Non-Verbal Ever since I was young I talk with my hands.My hands always needs to be doing something. Only 20% in communication is verbal and the other 80% is non-verbal. By having body language is very important. You just need to move naturally around. Avoid  Pacing  Hands in pocket  Your armed cross  Moving too fast Tip 9: Relax, Breathe and Enjoy Justremembertorelax,breathe andenjoy.Firstwhenyouneedtotake adeepbreathe before youget started,secondrelax whenyouare relaxeditmake iteasierandthe listenerwill be able tounderstand youbetter,whenyouare nottense up,and thirdenjoywhatyouare talkingabout
