4. AIM OF THE PROJECT
 Hostel Management System is designed for better interaction between students, hostel owners, and accounts.
Hostel Management System handles all the requirements for easy Hostel Management for a college.
 This application will help the Hostel to centralized the activities and maintain data transparency where needed and
properly store data for regular operations and future analysis.
 Here students can search for the hostels listed and the owners can maintain and manage data regarding the
hostel facilities and the fee billing system.
 So the application will be easy to use for both beginners and advanced users.
 features a familiar and well thought out, an attractive user interface, combined with strong searching insertion and
reporting capabilities.

5. OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT
 To get the hostel information like facilities and the fee structure.
 To maintain the students/ hostellers and owners database under the single system.
 To raise billing for the existing hostellers.
 To register the enquire regarding hostels.
 Admin can edit notice board and each student can view it.
 Hostel owner can calculate hostel fee including mess fee and can edit mess menu.
 Hostellers can check the status of every month’s hostel fee.

7. EXISTING SYSTEM
 The existing system is manual based and need lot of efforts and consume enough time. In the existing system
we can apply for the hostels online but the allotment processes are done manually.
 It may lead to corruptions in the allocation process as well as hostel fee calculation.
 The existing system does not deals with mess calculation and complaint registration.

8. DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM

9. PROPOSED SYSTEM
 A hostel Application which aims to reduce the overhead burden of hostel management on the side of college
administration and on the side of college students too.
 Faculty and student should be easy to use and should check the updates and maintain hostel details.
 In the proposed system student can search for nearby hostel and once enrolled into hostel, Student can check
their bill and pay online itself.
 Which make the process easier and simpler. We will provide friendlier environment than the existing one.

19. CONCLUSION
 Hostel management system is very useful for hostel search, allotment and fee calculation and maintenance.
This hostel management application is designed for people who want to manage various activities in the hostel.
 For the past few years the numbers of educational institutions are increasing rapidly. Thereby the numbers of
hostels are also increasing for the accommodation of the students studying in this institution.
 And hence there is a lot of strain on the person who are running the hostel and applications are not usually used
in this context.
 This particular project deals with the problems on managing a hostel and avoids the problems which occur when
carried manually.
 Also students can easily get the hostel information at one place. Identification of the drawbacks of the existing
system leads to the designing of computerized system that will be compatible to the existing system with the
system which is more user friendly.

20. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
 In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like IOS, etc.
 In adding the more features PG/ Hostel management application to develop access with user’s flexibility.
 To authenticate the users based on the system users list which is maintained by the operating system
 To restrict the usage of all files by the users based on their privileges on the system
