• It is use for cutting of the
unwanted branches or twigs of
the orchard tree, vines, scion
sticks, defoliation etc.

operate,it is considered to be an
essential tool of the gardener in
plant propagation.

3. HEDGE SHEAR
• It is manually operated hand tool
for pruning,trimming and cutting
of hedges and shurbs.
• The tools essential consists of two
blades with tangs.The cutting
action take place between two
blades which are pivoted and the
material to be cut is sheared
between these blades.

4. KHURPI
• It is generally use for weeding,
lifting of seedlings and plants in a
nursery, transplanting plants in
potand field, and performing
various other gardening
operations.

5. WHEELBARROW
• It is use to move various things
from one place to another, such
as moving compost to the garden,
moving planting materials,
fertilizers and also to collect
trash in the garden.

6. RAKE
• Rake is a horticultural implement
consisting of a toothed bar fixed
transversely to a handle, or tines fixed
to a handle.
• It is used to collect leaves, hay, grass,
etc., and in gardening, for loosening the
soil, light weeding and levelling,
removing dead grass from lawns, and
generally for purposes performed in
agriculture by the harrow.

7. TROWEL
• It is a small hand tools used for
lifting the nursery plants ,and for
transplanting seedlings.

8. HEDGE TRIMMER
• Hedge trimmer consists of a
cutter bar having two sets of
reciprocating blades.
• Hedge trimmer is used for
trimming hedges, shrubs and
brambles. It is also used for
contouring plants in desired
shapes and sizes for enhancing
the aesthetics of the garden.

9. CHAIN SAW
• It is also called power saw and is a
light and portable machine
normally and operated by one
person.
• The chain saw is used to trim
dead or diseased wood from
trees, to remove inconveniently
placed branches or fell trees.

10. LAWN MOWER
• A lawn mower (also known
as mower, grass
cutter or lawnmower) is a
machine utilizing one or more
revolving blades to cut a grass
surface to an even height.
• The mower is used for cutting
grass in lawns and fields..

11. SPRAYER
• It is used for sparying insecticides,
fungicides, herbicides, fertilisers
and various other chemicals in the
field.

12. POST HOLE DIGGER
• Post hole digger is a tractor mounted
tool, used for making holes in the
ground. The farm tool includes a
rotating helical screw blade to
remove the drilled out material. It is
a specially designed machine that
digs pits for farm fencing and
plantation purposes.
• This tool is used to dig holes in the
ground, typically from a few inches
to a about a foot in diameter.

13. POTATO HARVESTER
• Potato harvesters are machines that
harvest potatoes.
• They work by lifting the potatoes from the bed
using a share. Soil and crop are transferred onto
a series of webs where the loose soil is sieved
out. The potatoes are moved towards the back of
the harvester on to a separation unit and then
(on manned machines) to a picking table where
people pick out the stones, clods, and haulms
(stems or stalks) by hand. The potatoes then go
on to a side elevator and into a trailer or a potato
box.

14. TURMERIC HARVESTER
• The harvester consists of a crescent-
shaped blade with three bar-points
meant to penetrate the soil.
• The bar points with the blade
penetrate the soil, lifting the
turmeric rhizomes along with the
soil. As the turmeric and soil move
along the slats, the motion separates
the rhizomes and allows the soil to
fall back into the field.

15. VEGETABLES TRANSPLANTER
• The Mechanical Transplanters are
excellent close spacing bed
transplanters that work well in
any soil condition. They can Plant
at spacing as close as 5-8 cm in
the row.
• Planters are available to plant 2-6
rows at a time with 15-20 cm row
spacing.
