The proposed approach involves using a "Citizen Dialog Kit" (CDK) platform to engage citizens in conversations at public places through wireless displays and an online platform. The CDK allows conveying real-time information to citizens and surveying their viewpoints. It empowers citizens to start conversations themselves. The proposer seeks a consortium that values engaging less spontaneously engaged citizens in their neighbourhoods and communities. As a university spin-off, the proposer brings the fully functioning CDK platform, customization expertise, and experience in citizen engagement projects and urban human-computer interaction evaluation studies.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

20. Proposed Approach
I am a Labour law scholar and my approach is through case law and jurisprudence. I have nevertheless collaborated in the past with
economists and work organization experts.
I would support the team in discussing the rationale of decisions developed at national and international levels, by the EU Courts and by the
EHCR, the ILO’s boards of experts, and on the other side by collective agreements.
What part of the Scope do you want to address?
I am particularly interested on discriminations against people with disabilities and especially people with mental health issues, related or
unrelated to work place issues, and discrimination against people with behavioural borderline mental issues: the grey area between mental
pathologies and personal behaviours affected or affecting wellbeing in the workplace: of course protecting individual privacy. The aim is to
develop legal policies and contractual policies aimed at integrating people in society with a peculiar interest on work as a mean of personal
development not only as a tool meant at satisfying economic needs.

Toronto, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Urbana-Champaing (IL), ColombiaUniversity).
I have strong links with the Italian judiciary bodies and the ILO.
For 6 years I have been Director of a philanthropic Italian Foundation worth 2billions Euros assets which supports the health public service
and Third sectors bodies also supporting social inclusion projects.

the social economy. My aim is to collaborate with these entities over the Horizon program in order to study the best practice and their

21. Proposed Approach
The Rule of law (RoL) is a set of principles under which persons, institutions, and powers are guided
by and accountable to, a pillar of the EU. Our proposal pivots on a horizontal innovative
understanding of the RoL (as opposed to the more traditional “vertical understanding”) and on an
understanding of rights as “empowerment”, impacting especially the marginalised and disadvantaged
youth.
We want to focus on the specific role played by the education to RoL in the wider domain of civic
education. Analysing the notion implied in the path of civic education according to the United
Nations, the European Union, and the Italian government. Constructing a frame for civic education
where the different kinds of knowledges and skills dealing with Rol, citizenship, and human rights are
clearly identified in different realms and linked according to an explicit path. Suggesting innovative
perspective that are effective in the face of the current challenges to social inclusiveness, democracy
and respect for human rights.
We are looking for partners who are established academics in the field of law and political sciences.
Organisational Capabilities
Our research group of philosophers of law offers
strong analytical and research skills, an innovative
approach to research, a dynamic and diverse
intellectual environment, international breadth,
advanced infrastructure in five major Universities
across Italy (Palermo, Padua, Enna, Bari).
Our organisation is academic. The project will have
the following theoretical and practical benefits:
reorganising and rearticulating the teaching of civic
education; theorising and testing an innovative
approach to RoL and human rights, bearing potential
strong social impact on the youth, countering
discrimination; supporting responsible behaviour
towards the environment; improvement of the
economic and social inclusion.
Experience
The members of our team are full professors and researchers in the field of Philosophy of Law and
Political Sciences, with outstanding publication record in the field of human rights, the rule of law.
Each of the members of our team conducted research in the context of EU research grants and
national research grants which proved to be ground-breaking.
Our project concept is innovative and has strong potential practical impact, our past experience
includes international cooperation with the leading academics in the field. Of the rule of law and
human rights, we established a large and international network ranging from academics,
practitioners, judges, high level officials that can be put to use in the project.
Administrative Information
We are planning on being the Coordinator of the
project.

23. Proposed Approach
Classroom drama and applied theatre are new education and training formats that incorporate
creative approaches.
Research shows that these approaches can have an impact on e.g. bolstering democratic citizenship,
promotion of core values like human rights and the rule of law, promotion of gender equality,
disability inclusiveness, a culture of peace and non-violence, environmental awareness,
appreciation of linguistic, ethnic, cultural and religious diversity, tackling radicalisation and
successful integration of migrants and refugees along with other aspects mentioned in the call.
