  2. 2. Birds are vertebrates  Birds have a skeleton inside, so they are vertebrates.  Their bones are very light, so they can fly
  3. 3. Birds are oviparous  Birds lay eggs. Baby birds are born from eggs
  4. 4. They have beak and wings  All birds have a beak, two legs and two wings
  5. 5. Most birds can fly  But not all of them: hens, penguins or ostriches cannot fly
