everything your brain needs to process.
According to The Wall Street Journal, some physicians say that
writing — which engages your motor-skills and memory is good

sharp as they age.
Taking pen to paper inspires more creative thoughts as it is a

The linked regions of the brain for reading are activated while
writing by hand but not while typing or texting.

Expressive writing has psychological benefit as it deliver therapeutic value
Much of the research on writing and happiness has dealt with it
2005 2008 2013
A 2005 study showed that victims of
trauma who wrote about stressful
events for 15 to 20 minutes three
to five times over the course of a
four-month period had an
improvement in both physical and
psychological health.
A New Zealand researcher monitored
the recovery of biopsy wounds on 49
healthy adults who wrote about their
feelings for 20 minutes, three days in
a row, two weeks before the biopsy.
Eleven days later, 76% of the writing
group had fully healed while 24 % of
the control group had not.
Dr. Marc Seifer, a graphologist and
handwriting expert who wrote The
Definitive Book of Handwriting Analysis
in 2008 noted that writing a calming
sentence can calm the person down
and retrain the brain.
