Goal

     JKHKF   is expanding the horizon with a goal
     to bring people to the development front and
     help them to take responsibility for their own
     development       along     with       creating
     environment to strengthen their potentiality to
     act as the change agents in the society.

Major Activities of Organisation
       Having a conscious view to the decrement of humanity among the people and to the
        rigorous degradation of environment at present JKHKF upholds a high volume of
        activities to be undertaken for the community people at large.

        Working at the grassroots level since last decades JKHKF has faced money
        problems and simultaneously learned many lessons which enabled the organisation
        to build up concrete plans and programmes for the upliftment of deprived and down
        trodden.The foundation undertake huge activities which undoubtly would
        produceed a lot in social development and are as under:-

       Promotion of integrated development programmes for communities at large.
       Promotion integrated water, sanitation and Hygiene.
       Promotion programme to create a greater platform for women folk to participate in
        National Development and Generate Self Esteem.
       Employment Generation Programmes for rural youth and women and overall
        development of rural J&K
       Promotion of women and child development programmes.
       Strengthen the youth power to generate progress and maintain peace and National
        Integration.
       Strengthen People’s involvement an d participation in development activities and
        programmes.

Plantation Programme under Greening
    India Project at Tangmarg
       The Govt of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests sanctioned the
        project Greening India during 2006-07, for planting process integrated
        forest area of Tangmarg with the objective “save plants to save lives”.
        This is one of the frontline slogan carried out by the conscious people all
        over the world with a view to the rigorous degradation of the environment
        at present. Keeping the increased afforestation and its hazards on global
        warming, in view, where lack of awareness occupies a major negative
        role, JKHKF felt the need of intervention to make the environment cleen &
        green.

Women & Child Development Programme, Rajive
    Gandhi National Creche Scheme for the Children
    of Working Mothers.




       The Ministry of Women and Child Development Govt of India
        through Central Social Welfare Board Sanctioned 20 crèches in
        favor of JKHKF for Kashmir Division of J&K State. The
        introduction of the scheme is with increased opportunities for
        employment for women and the need to supplement household
        income as more and more women are entering the job market.

    Ganderbal
       The Family Counseling Centre
        was     established     in     Distt.
        Ganderbal sponsored by Central
        Social Welfare Board, Govt Of
        India with an objective to solve
        various cases like –
       Dowry
       Marital   maladjustments        with
        spouse / in-laws
       Personality Differences
       Interference of Parents / in-laws
       Extra marital relations
       Alcoholism / Drug Addiction
       Economic crisis
        Which in certain cases are
        counseled & referred to:-
       Legal/ Police Assistance
       Short Stay Homes

Entrepreneurship Development
    Programme for the Functionaries of
    SHG’s at Ganderbal.

       An entrepreneurship development Programme was
        organized for the functionaries of women Self Help Groups
        at Ganderbal from 10th to 15th April 2006, the Programme
        was sponsored by KVIB.

Women in Agriculture Programme.
        The organization organized short
         term training Programmes for
         rural women of Kangan, Nunner,
         Gutlibagh,        Dawb,         and
         Chatterhama areas of Ganderbal
         where the target women get the
         training in Food Processing’s,
         Vegetable cultivation and Cattle
         feeding. The Programme was
         organized in association with
         SKUAST-K          and       Animal
         Husbandry Departments, from
         15th to 18th Apr 2006, at Kangan,
         27th June 2006 at Nuner, 18th to 20th
         Aug at Gutlibagh, 13th to 15th Sept
         at Dawb, and 17th to 19th Dec 2006
         at Chatterhama and Tangmarg.

Micro Credit, Micro Enterprise
     Workshop

        Was       organized     for
         educated women youth at
         Ganderbal sponsored by
         J&K Bank from 8th to 9th
         March 2007. The aim of the
         workshop was that the
         unemployed youth can
         establish     their  own
         income and employment
         generation units.

National Environment Awareness
     Campaign 2006-07
        The organization organized
         demonstration Programme of
         agriculture     wastes      at
         Zabarwan Hills with Girls
         Battalions of NCC. The
         Programme was sponsored
         by Ministry of Environment &
         Forests through RRA The
         NGO’s           Co-ordination
         Federation      and       was
         organized on 7 & 8 Jan

Multi Culture Indian Food Festival in National
     Youth Festival, Patna from 13th to 17th Feb
     2006 & 11th to 18th Jan 2007 in Puna.

        The festival was organized
         with an objective to bring
         together youth from various
         culture, Language, Religion
         and Tradition to share ideas
         and talent for preparing
         Indian Traditional foods for
         communal        Harmony     &
         National Integration and also
         to expose them to other food
         habits of the country.
        The organization received
         NATIONAL YOUTH AWARD
         by Dr. Abul Kalam Azad,
         Hon’ble President Of India in
         Puna for the same.

  • 4. Goal  JKHKF is expanding the horizon with a goal to bring people to the development front and help them to take responsibility for their own development along with creating environment to strengthen their potentiality to act as the change agents in the society. 4 02/02/13
  • 5. Major Activities of Organisation  Having a conscious view to the decrement of humanity among the people and to the rigorous degradation of environment at present JKHKF upholds a high volume of activities to be undertaken for the community people at large. Working at the grassroots level since last decades JKHKF has faced money problems and simultaneously learned many lessons which enabled the organisation to build up concrete plans and programmes for the upliftment of deprived and down trodden.The foundation undertake huge activities which undoubtly would produceed a lot in social development and are as under:-  Promotion of integrated development programmes for communities at large.  Promotion integrated water, sanitation and Hygiene.  Promotion programme to create a greater platform for women folk to participate in National Development and Generate Self Esteem.  Employment Generation Programmes for rural youth and women and overall development of rural J&K  Promotion of women and child development programmes.  Strengthen the youth power to generate progress and maintain peace and National Integration.  Strengthen People’s involvement an d participation in development activities and programmes. 5 02/02/13

Plantation Programme under Greening India Project at Tangmarg  The Govt of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests sanctioned the project Greening India during 2006-07, for planting process integrated forest area of Tangmarg with the objective “save plants to save lives”. This is one of the frontline slogan carried out by the conscious people all over the world with a view to the rigorous degradation of the environment at present. Keeping the increased afforestation and its hazards on global warming, in view, where lack of awareness occupies a major negative role, JKHKF felt the need of intervention to make the environment cleen & green. 6 02/02/13
  • 7. Women & Child Development Programme, Rajive Gandhi National Creche Scheme for the Children of Working Mothers.  The Ministry of Women and Child Development Govt of India through Central Social Welfare Board Sanctioned 20 crèches in favor of JKHKF for Kashmir Division of J&K State. The introduction of the scheme is with increased opportunities for employment for women and the need to supplement household income as more and more women are entering the job market. 7 02/02/13
  • 8. Family Counseling Centre At Ganderbal  The Family Counseling Centre was established in Distt. Ganderbal sponsored by Central Social Welfare Board, Govt Of India with an objective to solve various cases like –  Dowry  Marital maladjustments with spouse / in-laws  Personality Differences  Interference of Parents / in-laws  Extra marital relations  Alcoholism / Drug Addiction  Economic crisis Which in certain cases are counseled & referred to:-  Legal/ Police Assistance  Short Stay Homes 8  Vocational Trainings02/02/13 
  • 9. Entrepreneurship Development Programme for the Functionaries of SHG’s at Ganderbal.  An entrepreneurship development Programme was organized for the functionaries of women Self Help Groups at Ganderbal from 10th to 15th April 2006, the Programme was sponsored by KVIB. 9 02/02/13
  • 10. Women in Agriculture Programme.  The organization organized short term training Programmes for rural women of Kangan, Nunner, Gutlibagh, Dawb, and Chatterhama areas of Ganderbal where the target women get the training in Food Processing’s, Vegetable cultivation and Cattle feeding. The Programme was organized in association with SKUAST-K and Animal Husbandry Departments, from 15th to 18th Apr 2006, at Kangan, 27th June 2006 at Nuner, 18th to 20th Aug at Gutlibagh, 13th to 15th Sept at Dawb, and 17th to 19th Dec 2006 at Chatterhama and Tangmarg. 10 02/02/13
  • 11. Micro Credit, Micro Enterprise Workshop  Was organized for educated women youth at Ganderbal sponsored by J&K Bank from 8th to 9th March 2007. The aim of the workshop was that the unemployed youth can establish their own income and employment generation units. 11 02/02/13
  • 12. National Environment Awareness Campaign 2006-07  The organization organized demonstration Programme of agriculture wastes at Zabarwan Hills with Girls Battalions of NCC. The Programme was sponsored by Ministry of Environment & Forests through RRA The NGO’s Co-ordination Federation and was organized on 7 & 8 Jan th th 2007. 12 02/02/13

Multi Culture Indian Food Festival in National Youth Festival, Patna from 13th to 17th Feb 2006 & 11th to 18th Jan 2007 in Puna.  The festival was organized with an objective to bring together youth from various culture, Language, Religion and Tradition to share ideas and talent for preparing Indian Traditional foods for communal Harmony & National Integration and also to expose them to other food habits of the country.  The organization received NATIONAL YOUTH AWARD by Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Hon’ble President Of India in Puna for the same. 13 02/02/13
