I’ve divided my talk into 3 parts. Firstly, I wanna show you is its introduction. Then, it will be history. Finally, I’m gonna tell you about its tourism.
Now I start off by introducing some information about it. Mount Rushmore is the national park service, located in the South Dakota of the United States. It has the face of four presidents carved in the side of a mountain named Rushmore. Look at this photo (Point at screen and explain) In order from left to right: this is George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Each president is 18 meters tall.

Ok, I’ve just told you about the introduction. Now, Let me move on to the history.
Mt Rushmore started in 1923 as an idea of Doane Robinson, the founder of the South Dakota Historical Society. He thought this would bring thousands of tourists to the South Dakota and take occasion to celebrate the 150 years of American history.
In 1927, Mt Rushmore was made by Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum, together with over 400 men. They used dynamite which is a kind of gunpowder to clear away unwanted rocks. It took almost 14 years to complete, from 1927 to 1941. The entire project cost about 1 million dollars.
Let’s now take a look at the tourism:
Although it has been completed for a long time, it started opening for tourism in 1998. Nowadays, Mount Rushmore has become the top tourist attraction in the United States. There are over 3 million visitors each year. If you get a chance to visit the United States, this may be the best choice for you.
And that brings me to the end of my presentation. Let me give you a summary of what I’ve been talk about over last 3 minutes:

This fundraising event featured support from Dianna DeGette, Ken Salazar and many others in support of inproving inner city public schools. The event raised $100,000 for scholarships to cover chidlren in summer camps, summer school, etc.

Nearly 80 million people were under alerts in the US north-east and midwest yesterday as temperatures in some municipalities reached record highs in a test to the country’s rickety power grid.
In other news, the Financial Times has a new Big Read this morning on Russia’s grip on nuclear power. Despite sanctions on its economy, the Kremlin continues to be an unrivalled exporter of nuclear power plants, building more than half of all reactors under construction globally. Read how Moscow is using these projects to wield global influence.
Today’s Energy Source dives into the latest Statistical Review of World Energy, the industry’s annual stocktake of global energy consumption. The report was published for more than 70 years by BP before it was passed over to the Energy Institute last year. The oil major remains a contributor.
Data Drill looks at a new analysis from the World Bank showing gas flaring is at a four-year high.

New report offers sobering view of the energy transition
Every year the Statistical Review of World Energy offers a behemoth of data on the state of the global energy market. This year’s findings highlight the world’s insatiable demand for energy and the need to speed up the pace of decarbonisation.
Here are our four main takeaways from this year’s report:
Fossil fuel consumption — and emissions — are at record highs
Countries burnt record amounts of oil and coal last year, sending global fossil fuel consumption and emissions to all-time highs, the Energy Institute reported. Oil demand grew 2.6 per cent, surpassing 100mn barrels per day for the first time.
Meanwhile, the share of fossil fuels in the energy mix declined slightly by half a percentage point, but still made up more than 81 per cent of consumption.
