As part of a broader partnership, CMMI, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) and the Administration for Community Living (ACL) are jointly sponsoring a webinar titled, Unleashing the Capabilities of MAOs to Deliver Health Innovation for Older Adults in Underserved Settings on October 7 from 2:30-4:00 PM ET to highlight the emerging, numerous opportunities for MAOs to support beneficiaries in more fully meeting their care needs and goals through novel approaches and services enabled by technology.
The webinar will provide an overview of the data supporting these opportunities and will include a panel of three speakers from payer organizations, each of whom will provide an overview of their experience and results in innovating in the use of technology to address unmet enrollee health needs. Panelists include Mona Siddiqui MD, MPH, Senior Vice President for Enterprise Clinical Strategy and Quality at Humana, who will discuss Humana’s approach to the use of data and predictive modeling to proactively engage and provide care for the highest risk and most vulnerable populations; John Wiecha, Medical Director, Senior Products Division at Point32Health, representing the newly combined organizations of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan will provide an overview of a recent pilot project to improve dementia care through a digital caregiver support program; and Caesar A. DeLeo, MD, MHSA Vice President & Executive Medical Director Strategic Initiatives, Highmark Health Enterprise Clinical Organization, Highmark BCBS who will discuss Highmark’s experience with telemedicine to approach substance use disorders during the pandemic and results from a five-year data driven program addressing appropriate opiate prescribing through profiling and academic detailing.
The webinar offers attendees the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the evidence and potential of several technology-enabled services in improving access, quality and outcomes of care, including, importantly, for underserved populations and will provide MAOs with insights more broadly on the challenges and solutions in design, implementation and evaluation of innovative and technology-enabled service. MAOs that are considering such innovations who may wish to target the use of technology-enabled and/or other services based on chronic illness and/or Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) status through the VBID Model are encouraged to attend.

Dr. John Beech & Christian Muller of the DfL talk you through the issues.
We've now seen well in excess of 50 insolvencies at football clubs since 1992 compared to no insolvencies in the Bundasliga during this period, leading to most expert commentators on football finance now agreeing that ‘light-touch' regulation is at an end.
We heard from one of the most respected academics in his field, Dr John Beech of Coventry University, about what has failed and what he believes needs to change. and the DfL's Christian Muller on how they do it in Germany,

Laurents voormalige privéleraar Rudy Bogaerts is formeel.
Studying the Link Between Volume of Media Coverage and Business Outcomes. Udit Joshi
My study is based on exploring the Link between Volume of Media Coverage and Business Outcomes. The main purpose of this study is to gather and classify the varying factors used in marketing mix modeling, and to look at how public relations is represented therein. Only a few studies albeit have actually been published on the topic within industry literature lacking especially in the Indian context. I would also like to bring upon the issue of Online Media an emerging area for marketing mix modeling which is of particular interest to the practitioners for measuring public relations through websites and consumer-generated media.
Understanding how news and advertising interact is important, from two perspectives. From a business management perspective, this understanding would enable a company to develop optimally-effective integrated communications plans and to allocate resources appropriately. From a theoretical perspective, there is the promise of deepening our understanding of how people integrate messages received from different forms of mass
communication.
While this study focused on how the volume of media coverage relates to brand value, reputation in the media is often a greater predictor of brand value and business outcomes such as sales. In industries that involve more research before purchases are made, the editorial content that results from PR can account for nearly half of brand value.
In industries that exhibit a stronger link between media coverage and brand value, managers in these product categories need to pay special attention to the way the brand’s value is impacted by its communications activities.
‘Earned media’ that results from public relations efforts may be more important than advertising to brand value, especially for companies that sell feature-rich, high-involvement and complicated products such as consumer durables. Findings from the study reveal that industries that sell high involvement products - where a buyer invests time and effort in deciding what to buy than buying by impulse.
Public Relations could be used as a powerful tool to draw customer attention. A timely and topical issue can be news that drives media coverage, getting the company’s name or brand more visibility.
Objectives
As a researcher I delve into the following spheres:
1. Constituents of Brand identity and role of PR in Brand identity
2. Reaching your direct customer through PR with stress on online PR efforts.
3. Empowering customer to make an informed decision.
4. Helping customer research the product at the information seeking stage of the buying decision model.
5. Trust has become a major issue in the post-bubble business world. Relationship building protects a firm’s long-term competitiveness.

Opnieuw alleen.

In Spring 2013, we are on the precipice of dramatic, disruptive change in the health field that offers an unprecedented opportunity and challenge to transform health care and population health.
We know that traditional public health approaches along with more and better health care are not enough to improve health outcomes, equity, and cost. We must also:
- implement sustainable, fundamental "upstream" changes that address the root causes of disease and disability; and
- transform the way we deliver health care to ensure access to quality, affordable health care for all.

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!

16. Major Transformation of Healthcare
Rapid Adoption of Electronic Health Records
• 44% (2009) to 73% (2012) have electronic records
Health Information Exchanges (HIE)
• Over 280 across the US with more than 50% of hospitals
participating in HIE organizations, Meaningful Use
New Delivery and Payment Models
Health and Medical Homes (HMH, PCMH)
• Managing patients across continuum of care and
reimbursement based on outcomes (volume to value)
Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) –
• Over 370 ACOs across the US, 150 more in development
Retail Clinics –
• CVS, Walgreens & Target operate 70% of retail clinics in US.
Virtual Care – Remote Patient Monitoring, eVisits, Telemedicine
.
17. The Engaged and Empowered Patients
• Embracing New Technologies
• Educated consumer of healthcare services
• Patients are making use of retail clinics and urgent care centers
(convenience and lower costs)
• mHealth (Mobile Health and Wellness applications) are
exploding
• Patient Self Monitoring (wearable sensor technology)
• Patients have the ability to stream continuous health data on
dozens of physiological measures and vital signs
(blood pressure, weight, pulse oximetry)
• Social Networks
Challenge : Connecting the Dots
18. Plenty of Technology in Place
Identity Assurance
Bar Codes
ID Cards Smart Cards Biometrics
Sensors
Point of Care Longitudinal Record
19. Patient identification is foundational for the
Interoperability of Electronic Health Records
and for Health Information Exchange
• Go-forward strategy: Patient Identification not Matching
• Policy has hampered progress on crucial research and
development (lost time and funding)
• Put patients at the center of this process
• Patient safety and satisfaction can be greatly enhanced
• Universal Patient Identifier

Patient records are continually developing collections of changeable data
Continuing de facto endorsement of statistical matching as the only practicable approach to linking patients to their electronic health records will inhibit the effective development of the national health information network.

Enterprise Master Patient Indexes (EMPI) algorithms are at best 90-95% accurate.4 But most important factor is the quality of the data.
