After teaching 2 lessons in high school I feel like the kids are warming up to me! This lesson was developed super smoothly, hopefully my next ones go as well as this one!
This experience was very rewarding, I do hope to be able to plan my next lesson with them using the computer lab so that I can promote ICT in the classroom.
This is my last lesson plan for Kinder in my practicum period. The experience was terrifying at first but with the passing of the days it became an amazing moment of my life that I will forever treasure in my heart.
Sometimes we may feel like we have chosen wrong, or that we are not good at what we do. But it only takes practices and hard work to help you realize what a magnificent profession EFL is!

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

● Teaching approach: In this case the approach is communicative and task-
based. This approach seems to be the most suitable for the class as students
will be giving their opinions as well as developing task to check
comprehension of new topics.
● Materials: printed images, ss book, audio cd, and stereo.
● Use of Ict
● Seating arrangements: Students will sit in groups of 3. As I mentioned
before the class is developed in the lunchen room, therefore the tables are
long and they are very likely to seat in one full table. It seems to be the best to
divide them in 2 tables of 6 students each
3. ● Assessment : As usual I will introduce the topic promoting communication
with the students and I will follow every activity by explaining and revising the
task together before they develop it and I will monitor their progress and
provide them with my help if need it
Routine:(5’)
As I enter the class, I greet my students and remind them that this is my last class
with them.
Warm-up:(10’)
I write on the board with big letters and colours the phrase “Inspiring people” then I
paste around the phrase the pictures below.
Inspiring People
Mother Teresa
Martin Luther King
Melipal Firemen
4. Then I will ask students: do you know the people in the images? For example Martin
Luther King fought for black people´s civil rights in the USA.
Mother Teresa helped orphans, sick people and people that lived in the street in
India
Melipal Firemen: They volunteer their time to help people (on fires, accidents, etc)
All these people are Inspiring or Heroes, because they fought and gave time of their
lives to help others. Can you think of other inspiring people? Who?
After I ask students this question I will let them know that anyone of their choice can
be Inspiring, perhaps their parents, or a friend, anyone they admire.
Transition: (5’’)
Let’s take a look at the image in the ss book on page 61:
What do you see? There are children with an adult and books on the table. What are
they doing? What’s on the table? Are there books? (There is a teacher at a low
resources school in Kenya, Africa)
Can we describe the picture? For example: The colours are bright and there is a
lamp on the table. The texture of the image is smooth and the contrast is sharp.
Anything else you would like to add?
Once we predict and imagine what’s going on in the picture I will invite one student
to read the box at the bottom left of the image to see if our predictions were right or
not!
5. Presentation: (10’)
Now, let's change to page 62. Take a look at the words in the box and look AT the
examples.
In this case I will make sure that students understand the meaning of the new words
and I will provide them with examples to infer meaning through context. Before they
complete the sentences we will read them together to make sure that they all
understand the general meaning.
Changed - gave - inspired - showed - supported - was
Martin L King changed the lives of Afro-American people because he gave them the
right to vote.
Mother Teresa inspired people to help others.
Martin L King showed African Americans that it was possible to fight for their rights.
Firemen are supported by their family and community to rescue people.
My father was a very good role model for me. He taught me everything I know.
Development:(15’)
Activity 1 (5’)
Complete the sentences from the book with words above. Then listen and check
your answers:
6. activity 2 (10’)
Change the sentences from exercise 1 and make true sentences about yourself.
For example:
When I met my boyfriend Jeff, he completely changed my life!
Transition (5’)
Now we are going to listen to a NASA astronaut ( I’ll write the word NASA on the
board and ask students if they all know what NASA is)
His name is Franklin Chang Diaz and he is going to talk about his number 1 hero/
the person the inspired him to become an astronaut.
For example for me, My number 1 hero is my grandmother. She taught me to
always smile and be strong no matter what. She was a very giving and loving
person.
7. Activity 3 - Listening (5’)
who does he describe as his hero?
a) his science teacher b) a famous astronaut c) his father
Activity 4 - Listening t or F(10’)
Students have to complete with true or false as they listen to the audio. Before we
start with this exercise we will check the comprehension of each sentence.
Activity 5 (10’)
In this activity students will write a short description of the person that inspires them,
following this questions
who inspires you? Is it someone you know? Is it a celebrity?
Why does this person inspire you? Did the person give you any strong
recommendation?
Example:
The person that inspires me is my grandfather. He is not a celebrity or famous. He
inspires me because he taught me important lessons for life. He told me to be strong
and to try to be happy.
Closure:(5’)
I invite students to share with the rest of the class to speak and tell us about the
people that inspires them and why.
