This document summarizes a high school located in Viladecavalls, Spain. The high school has approximately 700 students from Viladecavalls, Terrassa, and Ullastrell who study compulsory ESO (ages 12-16) or optional BATXILLERAT (ages 16-18). The school facilities include labs, a technology workshop, a music classroom, drama classroom, lockers, hall, and a playground.

2. IES VILADECAVALLS
This is our high school. It is located in our village, Viladecavalls.
Here there are 700 students and 60 teachers more or less. The
students come form different towns: Viladecavalls, Terrassa and
Ullastrell.

3. COMPULSORY STUDIES: ESO
•Here you can study ESO and BATXILLERAT.
•ESO: 4 years of obligatory educaion. All boys and girls start ESO
when they are 12 years old and they finish when they are 16.

4. FURTHER STUDIES: BATXILLERAT
•BATXILLERAT: It’s not compulsory. It consists of 2 years (from 16 to 18)
where you can choose different subjects according to the speciality you
choose: Science, Social Science, Human Studies, Technology and Drama and
you prepare the university entrance exam. Now we are in 1st of batxillerat.

5. Playground: This is our playground. We can go there during the break that we have in
the middle of our lessons. People often play football and different sports there. You
can also chat with friends and meet new people. However, when you get to
Batxillerat, you’re allowed to go outside the building and stay out until the lessons
start again.

6. •Hall: it’s the entrance of the school, and the centre of the school. In the hall there is the
concierge and the classroom guard.

7. Lockers: In the corridors we have lockers where we can store our books or our bags,
but we have to share them with another student.

8. The music classroom: We have a music classroom where we learn how to play
the flute and some history of music. However, the students who are currently
doing drama 'batxillerat' keep taking music lessons.

9. •Drama classroom: Here drama students can do everything!

10. SCHOOL FACILITIES
In our high school we find different facilities:
•Labs: There are three labs in our school to do the experiments required in
subjects such as biology, chemistry and physics.

11. •Technology workshop: there are two technology workshops where we
can put in practice what we learn in this subject.
