MY HIGH SCHOOL
 The Secondary School " Escultor Juan de
Villanueva " is located in Pola de Siero , at twenty
kilometres from Oviedo , capital of Asturias. It was
created in 1982 and it teaches Secondary
Education, Vocational Training School and
Baccalaureate.
ABOUT THE NAME
 The name is a tribute to a Spanish baroque sculptor that
was born in Pola de Siero. He is important because he
was one of the founders of the Real Academia de Bellas
Artes in Madrid in1751 and one of the first principals.
Despite having so many sculptures, a lot of them have
disappeared during the Spanish Civil War.
ABOUT THE TEACHERS…
 According with the La Nueva España
newspaper, there are about 80 teachers in
the high school. A few of them teach
Sciences, others teach English and so on.
There are so many teachers because each
one of them has studied for different grades.
…AND THE STUDENTS

 The students of a grade are divided in
different groups(1st A, B, C and D) that
