5. The Solution
Phage therapy: use of good viruses (bacteriophages) to treat bacterial
infections. This could be used as an alternative to antibiotics when bacteria
develop resistance.
• Bacteriophages - viruses that infect and replicate within bacteria
• Not effecting human cells
• It uses bacteria structures to self-replicate into thousands of new phages
• Newly created phages bulge the bacteria bursting it open and cause its death.
• Found where bacteria exist.
