Herbs are plants that are used for culinary, medicinal, or fragrant purposes. They can be categorized as either tender and leafy or hardy and woody. Herbs are commonly used to enhance the flavor of food. Some common herbs mentioned are parsley, cilantro, oregano, mint, rosemary, sage, and basil. Parsley can be used as an herb or vegetable, while cilantro has a stronger smell than parsley. Mint spreads easily so it is considered invasive.
