2. MACHINE GUARDS
In September 2015, completed the first monthly inspection of the
machine guards on the lab equipment. Identified, documented and
revised worksheet to conform to newly written in-house Neopak
method.
3. CHEMICAL SAFETY
Attended a ten notational learning hour
course entitled Chemical Safety on the
9 Sep 2005 and hosted by SafeNet (Africa).
4. H&S REP TRAINING
Attended a 10 notational learning hour
course entitled Health and Safety Representative
course on the 1 June 2005 and hosted
by SafeNet (Africa).
5. SPILL KIT TRAINING
Was trained on using the Chemical Wheely Bin Spill Kit on the 25
Sep 2005. The kit is sold by Drizit Environmental (Pty)
Ltd.
6. SAFETY COMMITTEE MEMBER
Was an appointed Safety Representative on the Nampak Research and
Development (R&D) Safety Committee from Jun 2004 to Mar 2007.
Also signed as competent person for the Paper & Plastics Lab
Portable Electrical Equipment register from Aug 2004 to June 2006.
7. BBS REPRESENTATIVE
Was trained as a Behaviour Based Safety observer in October 2002 at
Sappi Enstra Learning & Growth Centre.
8. EMERGENCY FIRST AIDER
Attended an Emergency First Aider course
on the 30 July 2002 and hosted by the
Institute of Emergency First Aiders
(IEFA) – this expired in July 2005.
