This document outlines a proposed health-related lifestyle survey of several European cities. The study has two main goals: 1) describe, explain, and evaluate the health-related lifestyles of city populations, and 2) measure relevant indicators through quantitative and qualitative research. Data collection will involve secondary data sources, face-to-face surveys, and qualitative research including documentary analysis, case studies with interviews in participants' homes, life histories, and focus groups. Sampling will divide each city into zones and select participants proportional to population characteristics to allow comparisons between areas and demographics. Potential problems include lack of segmented city data, non-response to surveys, and ensuring a representative qualitative sample.
