INTRODUCTION
Headache, is one of the most common of all human physical complaints.
Headache is actually a symptom rather than a disease a stress response,
vasodilation (migraine), skeletal muscle tension (tension headache), or a
combination of factors
DEFINITION

may occur with other symptoms.
CAUSES OF HEADACHE
1. Stress. Stress can cause tight muscles in the shoulders and neck.

• Migraine headaches are sometimes preceded
by warning symptoms. Triggers include
hormonal changes, certain food and drink,
stress and exercise.
CLUSTER HEADACHE
• Cluster headache (CH) is a neurological disorder
characterized by recurrent, severe headaches on
one side of the head. Typically around the eye.
• • A cluster headache commonly awakens paitent
in the middle of the night with intense pain in or
around one eye on one side of head.
TMJ DISORDER HEADACHE
• Headaches occur in TMJ syndromes because the
swelling and inflammation in the temporo-
mandibular joint travels to other muscle and
ligament tissues in the jaw area.
• As it spreads, muscles become tight and inflamed
causing spasm. This results in headaches around
the skull, face and even neck areas.
ALLERGY HEADACHE
• An allergy headache occurs when allergy
symptoms trigger a headache.
• Some symptoms of an allergy headache include
sinus pressure, a stuffy or runny nose, watery
eyes, and sneezing.
• Not everyone who has allergies will experience
headaches,
