The document discusses the evolution of computing and connected devices from 2010 with 300 million devices to 2016 with an estimated 30 billion devices. It highlights how technology is moving beyond glass screens to a world where any object can be more than what it is through connectivity. Examples discussed include the Michael Bastian Chronowing smartwatch and how content and products can be combined. It also provides tips for wearable and Internet of Things devices like embracing brand idiosyncrasies and amplifying only essential information to users.

Deck that accompanied my talk at the 2104 WACVB (Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus) Tech Summit in Portland, Oregon on March 13, 2014.
Over the past 25 years Notes/Domino has been the most successful application development platform for small-medium-sized applications. 50,000 organizations are using 10 million applications and supporting 50 billion lines of code. We take a look at recent events and product announcements to see how Domino is featured by IBM.
In the early days of product development, the technology is inferior and lacking in performance. The focus is very much on the technology itself. The users are enthusiast who like the idea of the product, find use for it, and except the lack of performance. Then as the product becomes more mature, other factors become important, such as price, design, features, portability. The product moves from being a technology to become a consumer item, and even a community.
In this lecture we explore the change from technology focus to consumer focus, and look at why people stand in line overnight to buy the latest gadgets.

This presentation was used at an HP Experience Day in Helsinki, Finland. It describes why companies should look at cloud, social, big data and the internet of things as vehicles to engage more with their customers, so they can attract, engage, convert and retain them. What is needed, how can it be implemented.
This presentation was given at a conference in November 2014. It addresses the future of IT and takes 2020 as a milestone. My take is that IT will still exist, but will be very different. If you are interested in how this was discussed, take a look at www.hp.com/cloud/blog where a blog entry with the same title should appear in a couple days.

This was a presentation I held for a group of executives at West Sweden Chamber of Commerce. A couple of slides are in Swedish, but most of it is in English. The presentation has a focus on online content driving sales (content marketing). I also touch on the trend of the increasing number of visitors that are using smartphones and tablets when surfing the web. I also emphasize the need of a clear strategy, to achieve the desired results.

Mobility is de nieuwe manier van werken. De nieuwe werkplek is mobiel, connected maar
secure.
