In order to help the audience to seamlessly identify the dream levels where the different stages of
the plan were takin g place, Pfister gave each level a particular color tone. The first level, where the
abduction takes place, has a fairly neutral tone to it; everything looks normal. The second level,
most of the action develops in the hotel hallway, the lighting and furniture provide a warmth tone;
and the third level, where they penetrate the mountain fortress, has a cool tone to enhance its
already sterile ambient.
Pfister certainly contributed to the beauty and creativeness of the film. It is no surprise his work on

divorce and to remarry. In the poem, Dunbar uses a male narrator who is a voyeur eavesdropping

November 9, 2015 through November 23, 2015, I continued interning at the Nulook Bounce n
Party located in Winterville, NC. The previous two weeks consisted of me working and
completing basic employee duties and procedures. I have completed plenty of hours, and I have
also completed my multimedia projects. When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I
should be ready. Viewing my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me
that I will be creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of November
9, 2015 through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook Bounce n Party facility. The
building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat screen televisions installed in the building has
been a hit for the children since they can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the

The authors of this article are Boris Groysberg and Michael Slind. It is published in the Harvard
Business Review, June 2012. Boris Groysberg is a Professor of Business Administration in the

The authors believe that this will help employees from all levels of the company hierarchy to gain a
general understanding on where the company stands in its competitive environment.
The authors then conclude the article by stating that the flow of conversation is out of control and
that smart leaders learn how to use conversation to their benefit by managing the flow of
information in an honest fashion. One way communication has become an antique but people will
listen to conversation that is intimate, interactive, inclusive and intentional.
CRITUQUE
In the article, Groysberg and Slind give several examples of how business communications are
dealt with in our current world. However, some of the points raised are questionable. Such as
that of Athenahealth where the company entrusts secret documents to all their workers and
hence makes them all insiders . This is worrying, as to deem all employees as responsible is a
clear generalisation. They are sure to be several bad apples in any company, waiting to spill their
company secrets to a competitor. Athenahealth s idea requires a high level of trust which is not
possibly attainable in a world where white collar crime is rampant. Practices like these might lead
to companies losing revenue as ideas are stolen by other companies. Therefore, communications
between the top brass and the employees should be amiable and open, but not to the extent where
company secrets are divulged easily.

A more considered reading, however, would see the poem as being more ominous and disturbing.
Under the apparent good fortune and excitement of the scene are darker ideas about the poverty and
superstition of the people in the poet s native country.

We get this information from various places throughout our day to day lives. For example, in classes, new stories, political debates, and more. We may need guidance during a doctor s appointment or when given directions. During all of these cases we listen to gain and understand information in order to act appropriately (Wood, 2015). Being mindful is an import first step. Staying focused when the information gets complicated or confusing can be difficult however, don t let your mind wonder and take in as much information as possible. You can always ask questions later and get a better understanding about what you didn t understand. I sometimes struggle with this. As I lose interest or get lost in what the other personis trying to tell me my mind then starts to give up. I can make little notes about what was not clear so the person can elaborate further and allow me to get a better understanding. When it is hard to concentrate on a conversation look around and see what is making it hard to pay attention. Maybe there is too much noise from the T.V., or the room is too cold or hot. These are things you are able to control by turning off the T.V. or setting the thermostat to a comfortable temperature. With three kids in my house the T.V. is almost always on. The previous two weeks consisted of me working and completing basic employee duties and procedures. I have completed plenty of hours, and I have also completed my multimedia projects. When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I should be ready. Viewing my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me that I will be creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of November 9, 2015 through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook Bounce n Party facility. The building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat screen televisions installed in the building has been a hit for the children since they can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the bounce houses, giving the kids double the entertainment. Whenever customers enter the building, you can just see the amazement on their faces. During the two weeks, I continued to work independently at the facility.
