that he can lead us through, because much of the time we are lost and disoriented. I, personally,

In order to help the audience to seamlessly identify the dream levels where the different stages of
the plan were takin g place, Pfister gave each level a particular color tone. The first level, where the
abduction takes place, has a fairly neutral tone to it; everything looks normal. The second level,
most of the action develops in the hotel hallway, the lighting and furniture provide a warmth tone;
and the third level, where they penetrate the mountain fortress, has a cool tone to enhance its
already sterile ambient.

Secular marriages were not blessed by the church and were more popular amongst the poorer
people as there was no expensive ceremony with rings. This type of marriage made it easier for
divorce and to remarry. In the poem, Dunbar uses a male narrator who is a voyeur eavesdropping
into a conversation amongst three, intoxicated woman who are in a garden on Midsummer night s
eve; two of them married and one a widow. In this conversation they discuss their husbands in an
unpleasant way and discuss their sexual desires which at this time was unheard of to males as
they classified woman as belongings and inferior. This poem is an attempt by Dunbar to get inside
the head of a woman which was a common thought amongst men as some were worried woman
were untrustworthy. The setting of this poem plays an important, although discreet role as
Midsummer Eve is associated with fertility rites back in pre Christian times and the garden they
are in would have been filled with sweet scents from the flowers blooming at that time of year, so
the setting is almost a metaphor for the woman and their duty to provide children and fertility.

adjustments throughout time. When the Great Burning happened, everything was destroyed and
most knowledge was lost along with the city. This caused everything to change when it came time
to rebuild the society. Culturechanges over time due to the idea that through everyday that passes,
some form of knowledge, somewhere, is lost or gained, and that causes a dramatic change as the
years keep going. Cultural change happens very often and there are many factors that can lead to
a culture adopting different customs. One factor is expressed in the story when John had a
vision of the Great Burning. This disaster caused the survivors to forget the old ways which
changed everything. For example, the story states, It was the time of the Great Burning and the
Destruction. They ran about like ants in the streets of their city poor gods, poor gods! (Benet,
pg9) This explains the fact that the Great Burning killed off most of the gods that resided there.
The poison still affected the few survivors that escaped. This poison caused the survivors to lose
everything they knew about the old ways and every piece of knowledge left. This caused a
cultural change because there was nothing there anymore to explain the way things were supposed
to happen. Overtime, knowledge can eventually be changed through the passing from generation
to generation, causing cultural change to occur. In John s society, culture had slowly been
modified due to the time. Some of the culture was altered since only few people had knowledge to
begin with. Once those people with the knowledge were gone, then there would be no way of

J.H. Elliot examines the history of early modern Spain from the reign of the Catholic Monarchs,
Isabella and Ferdinand, to the reformation of the Spanish government by the first member of the

Nulook Bounce-N-Party Narrative Report
November 9, 2015 through November 23, 2015, I continued interning at the Nulook Bounce n
Party located in Winterville, NC. The previous two weeks consisted of me working and
completing basic employee duties and procedures. I have completed plenty of hours, and I have
also completed my multimedia projects. When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I
should be ready. Viewing my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me
that I will be creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of November
9, 2015 through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook Bounce n Party facility. The
building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat screen televisions installed in the building has
been a hit for the children since they can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the
bounce houses, giving the kids double the entertainment. Whenever customers enter the building,
