• Google Hangouts are closed, private discussions
between invited individuals. They cannot be viewed
by external parties, broadcast, or archived. It is
essentially free, video-based web conferencing
technology.
• Google Hangouts On Air may be broadcast to the
general public and, once complete, are automatically
archived on YouTube.
