Samsung Galaxy Note7 Case Study
Samsung owns the market right now. Samsung is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the
world. They also sell all kinds of other products. Their focus is of course on their Android
smartphone/tablet/wearables business. Samsung grew at an incredible rate over the years to become
what it is now. They outsell even Apple when it comes to smartphone/tablet sales. The company pivots
and produces quickly, coming out with a variety of devices. It sees what the market responds to,
pushes successes, and kills failures. And now, rather than just providing a cheaper and lesser iPhone, it
s differentiated itself with larger screens, different features, successful marketing, and delivering what
consumers want. The Note is a perfect example. The company found through market research that
Asian language speakers wanted a device that they could hand write on, because drawing characters is
easier with a pen. The result was a combination phone/tablet ( phablet ) that s been an unexpected hit.
However, there was some setbacks this year with the production of the Samsung Galaxy Note7.
Samsung produced the Galaxy Note 7 in August expecting to deliver a smartphone that could take on
and take down the iPhone 7. Before long, unfortunately, buyers reported that the device was heating
up and for some, exploding. Samsung is blaming the malfunction on a manufacturing problem with
batteries at one of its suppliers. In September, Samsung began a recall and reproduced its second run

Christian Theology And Psychology Is Necessary
Living in a pluralistic world naturally lends its inhabitants to a culture plentiful of varying belief
systems in which integration becomes beneficial, as opposed to detrimental. Theology, or more
specifically Christianity, and the field of psychology are central ideologies that often call into question
the need for unification. The intermingling of the two for certain people is logical; whereas, others
view them as absolutely distinct with no benefit of integrating. Either standpoint offers valid claims
with both being worthy of examination.
The idea of whether or not integrating Christian theology with psychology is necessary is well stated
by David Cartwright (2010), a professor at Colorado Christian University, in that this depends on one
s perspective (Integration of..., Video 1). Certain Christian circles believe that not only should these
two areas be interrelated, but they also naturally are, as all things fall under God s realm of creation.
Yet, other believers stake their claim in a different camp with the mindset that theology and
psychology should never intersect, let alone meld into one another. On the opposite end of the
spectrum, this question is a moot point for one who adheres to an atheistic worldview. Personally, my
stance follows a Christ centered worldview, thus, aligning with author David Entwistle s proposal of
the allies approach. Truth originates with God, and either discipline affords one the means to seek out
knowledge concerning humanity

Castaway Analysis
In the movie Castaway, Chuck Noland is marooned on a deserted island by himself. He lost everyone
he ever knew and because of that he started to go insane. To cope with this, he created a friend for
himself, helping him keep his sanity and to be less lonely. At times, he lost motivation, and he almost
gave up. Noland learned how to get food, clean water, and make a shelter in the four years he was on
the island, fulfilling his basic needs . Ultimately, the main reason he almost died multiple times while
marooned was because he was alone. Love and belongingness needs are one of the most important
needs for human survival because without human interaction, one could lose their sanity, motivation,
and can become lonely. Some people who follow Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs believe that the basic
needs are the most important needs. Seeing as how the basic needs include food, water, and rest, this
makes sense. Without those essentials, one will die. In the book The Clay Marble by Minfong Ho, in
chapter nine, a young refugee named Dara is walking back to her campsite after being separated from
her family. I noticed an old man looking at me curiously. He was sitting with his own family, holding a
plate of cold rice. I looked at it hungrily, but could not bring myself to ask for any food. Dara is
rejecting asking for food, and yet the only reason she is there in the first place is to find her family.
Dara cannot bear to lose them, and would rather go hungry looking for them than be fully nourished
without them. This shows how much risk people will go through for the ones they love. Dara
wandered back to her campsite, right after it had been bombed, to try and find the people she loved.
Eating, drinking, and sleeping are key human instincts, but on the other hand, so is love. In the article
Homeless turn lives around step by step , in which the topic is a woman who started a running club for
homeless people, On line 36, Anne Mahlum, the founder of the running club, Back On My Feet, state
s: Right above those needs is an innate desire to be recognized, valued, appreciated, loved and cared
for. These desires, just like those of food and shelter, do not become less important as we grow older.

The Fiery Inferno
Into the Fiery Inferno I am destruction, death, and danger. I am fierce, wild, and unpredictable. I am
hot, warming, and light giving. In me there is death; in me there is new life. I am mysterious, ever
changing, and beautiful. I am fire. I have been an object of curiosity forever; one minute I warm, give
light, and comfort; the next I destroy, devastate, and horrify. The humans have tried to harness me and
my almost endless power for their own wellbeing for millennia, and I often comply and give them a
portion of my power. There are times, however, that I become bored with being contained and long to
reign free. When this happens, it is very hard to stop me. I am always hungry and never satisfied,
continually reaching out with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I lingered in the coals of my burnt fuel, struggling to stay alive. I was low on fuel, and knew that if I
didn t do something quick that I would be extinguished. I looked around and noticed a pile of sticks
and straw nearby. With the last reserves of my strength I flung a piece of me into the straw which,
after a brief pause, ignited. I took a deep breathe of oxygen, which gave me more strength, and smiled.
Finally, I was out of that horrible stone cage in which the humans had trapped me. Finally, I was free.
I didn t waste any time dawdling; I knew that any moment now the humans could sound the alarm and
I would be caught and subdued. I quickly reached out, feeling my ever changing form tickle the pile of
wood nearby, and felt the wood catch. I felt another sense of accomplishment as I pulled myself into
the pile of wood and started devouring it as a starving man would devour a plate of delicious food that
had been set before him. With each piece of wood and particle of fuel I felt myself gaining power.
Soon I had spread even further into the house and my power had grown stronger as well. I was well
established now and burning fiercely. Just then one of the baker s servants heard me hissing and
crackling and came out of his room to investigate. When he saw me his eyes widened into big orbs of
surprise and fear, and he ran back through the house screaming the alarm. The

Powers Of Ten Analysis
To begin, much like space, the videos and books read and listened to, covered a lot of ground. What
these sources explained was simply how big space is and our microscopic place is inside such a
colossal surrounding of stars, galaxies, Nebulas, and so much more. To first get a reference point of
our closer neighbors, we were brought through an adventure in the countryside with Bill Nye to
acknowledge the unimaginable distances between the planets. For example, when earth was scaled to
the size of a baseball, it took over well over two miles to reach an absolutely tiny scale model of Pluto.
This is striking on it s own and even more staggering is the fact that Pluto is but a inconsequential
speck on the map of the solar system, galaxy, and universe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The short documentary begins at the hand, or thumb, of a man picnicking in Chicago, then things
change. As hinted by the title, the frame of reference begins to move away from the hand at a power of
ten, and within second viewers have been immersed into space. From that moment forward, our
planet, our sun, our solar system, even the our Galaxy, The Milky Way, shrink out of sight into a
bewildering cluster of galaxies. Third and finally, a representation of the space around us was shared
though the art of words and all things considered, stuns readers the same way as two minutes of film
does. The book is titled A Short History of Nearly Everything, written by Bill Bryson. The passages
read focussed around our home town , or solar system. In movies from recent decades and even 40
years ago, humans are shown zooming through the sky, galaxy to galaxy, but this is sorely not the
case. As written, humans will never leave even our own group of planets. That is unless we have a
spaceship capable of sustaining multiple generations though the Orc Cloud, a 10,000 year journey, and
that is from Pluto, of

Terracotta Etruscan Vase Analysis
I saw a terracotta Etruscan vase at the Walters Museum, on November 4, 2015. Created by Micali
Painter, it stands 16¾ high and has a circumference of 10¼, excavated between 500 490, BCE in
Cerveteri, Italy. The museum provenance for the container states that it was purchased in 1902 by
Henry Walters from the Don Marcello Massarenti Collection in Rome ( Black Walters). A close look
at the vase reveals unclothed, energetically running satyrs. Above them, birds face in the opposite
direction, closer to the neck of the vessel. The wild satyrs with their powerful physique caught my
imagination and attention. The amphora was created in the Archaic Period, historians use the term
archaic, to suggest that a work is primitive, antiquated or old fashioned, ... Show more content on

Their use caused them to be indispensable, and their presence desired along with Greek imports. We
can form an idea of the main differences between Greek and Etruscan vases. Greek images are used
for their narrative qualities and symbolism; the erotic pleasures of mortal life and a prospect of eternal
feasting in the afterlife. Etruscan paintings conveyed a clear sense of an exuberant enjoyment of life,
with dancing couples and other human characters looking strong, healthy and filled with life. The art
captured human emotion much better than the more stylized Greek art. During the 4th and 5th
centuries BCE, Greek fleets began to plunder the coastal cities, the Gaul s overtook the Po Valley, and
without unity among the citizens, the Etruscans were overwhelmed. Extensive sculpture and artwork
were destroyed when around 396 BCE, Etruscans were overcome by the Romans and absorbed into
the empire ( Etruscan Collins). The short time period when the culture survived independently, they
created amphora that was magnificent in style, in my opinion, and vital in its use. The symmetry of the
handles suggests the stability of the symmetrical piece. While gazing at the item, I realized that this
ancient and delicate artifact is in remarkable condition. To imagine all of the individuals that utilized
the amphora in some way, and its travels throughout its life during the last 2500 years, is a journey I

During her and her husband s visit to the hospital in which Suguro was confined, she was mentioned
to have been wearing a white Ōshima kimono (白大島着物, shiro ōshima kimono). Ōshima kimonos
are expensive, high quality kimonos produced on Japan s Amami Ōshima Island. According to Martin
Fackler of The Seattle Times, it takes 30 separate steps to produce one kimono, which, at the peak of
the kimono in Japan, can sell for more than $10,000 apiece. This information, along with the textual
evidence found in the story such as her husband being an official of the Economic Planning Agency
and the couple playing golf together, further supports the idea that Yasuko and her husband are
wealthy. Meanwhile, the color of Yasuko s kimono, white, is created by dyeing fine silk fabric in the
white mud of the volcanic ashes of Mt. Sakurajima, which is an active volcano found in the
Kagoshima Prefecture. Another notable piece in Yasuko s attire is her crimson obi (唐紅帯,
karakurenai obi), which is, according to the ImmortalGeisha, a broad belt or sash tied around a woman
s waist to close the kimono and hold it in place. In Japanese culture, the colors red and white are
considered auspicious colors and represent purity and truth, leading them to be worn during many
special occasions such as births and weddings. However, there are underlying wordplays in these two
colors that are relevant to the story, according to the Yamakawa Dojo Iaijutsu. Red in Japanese is 赤

Discipus Reflection Paper
Jesus is sending his disciples, sheep, to be among the men who are persecutors, wolves. He is also
warning them that they will experience troubles on the way from the governments, courts and also
their friends and families. However, he is saying that going into trial is not bad because in these
moments they have their advantage to spread His word so they can see the glory. Jesus says not to
worry when they are arrested because God will help them with what to say. Throughout the New
Testament Jesus is compared to a shepherd leading and protecting his flock, but this scripture Jesus is
not there among the sheep protecting them. The disciples have been sharing the good news about
Jesus and once he is sacrificed, resurrected into heaven, he will not be there physically for the
disciples to have nearby and protect them. They will be the sheep among the wolves needing to protect
for themselves. Whenever the government has a conflict with God s word, Jesus is the one who steps
in to share a parable and let the pharisees know what God s law is, but once he goes to Heaven, he will
not be around to speak on behalf of God. The disciples will be on there own and Jesus is trying to
prepare them for this.
Jesus knows the disciples will be weak and defenseless without him there to step in and help, but
through this scripture, he continues to prepare his disciples for what they need to do when spreading
the word and others are in disbelief. When people can physically see

was the British and then stated the Pakistani regime. Continuously oppressed and exploited by these
powers the resources of this country were already half exhausted. When Bangladesh emerged on 1971,
the country started a new journey towards self sufficiency with whatever left over resources she had.
And with those Bangladesh has maintained her pride among the developing countries for more than 40

growth of the individual end user sectors the projection of demand for energy should ideally be made.
The demand forecast is based on the excellent historical correlation of electricity demand with GDP
and three forecasts of GDP growth through 2025. The Base case uses GDP figures whose compound
average annual growth rate is 5.2%. The low case GDP figures average annual rate is 4.5%. The high
case is based on a GOB forecast with an annual average rate of 8.0%. These GDP growth rates

Great dynasties in Imperialistic China
Ancient China was always able to flourish as a powerful economic and imperialistic country. Behind
this great amount of early success were great dynasties that played great roles in China s history.
China has always been highly influenced by its great ancient dynasties. These dynasties were able to
establish monetary systems, road and canal systems for trade, and also build great elaborate historic
structures that still stand today. They also influenced different philosophies such as Taoism and
Confucianism. In the long history of China, many great dynasties appear that have helped a lot to the

They also built a tomb for the emperor containing giant detailed sculptures of each one of his soldiers
called the Terracotta Army. Even though this dynasty only lasted 15 years, the Qin s hold an important
part in Chinese history and it shows great influence on the later dynasties. The Han dynasty was
another highly successful dynasty in Chinese history it covered over four centuries from 206 BC 220
AD and it is known as the Golden Age in Chinese history. They were considered this for many
reasons; they had the city of Chang an which was one of the two largest cities in the ancient world at
this time. The dynasty had a large growth in population and urbanization which allowed for an
increase of industry and trade which developed on the Silk Road routes. This ultimately led to an
increase in economic growth. This empire had Liu Bang ruling as the first emperor but under him they
had a bureaucracy so they also implemented a civil service exam to ensure the best people fit for the
job were working in the government and under the emperor. The Han dynasty s government system
was in some way implemented throughout the imperial history of China. The Hans also improved iron

All that Heaven Allows Movie Analysis
In a film, ideology plays an important role in connecting the film to the society and allowing the
audience to have better understanding of the film. According to the German philosophers Marx and
Engels, (1978) ideology is identify as the relative systematic body of ideas, perception, and the actual
subconscious though of a given class, or group of individual in a certain time and place. In their
statement, there were four criteria to this definition, Marx and Engels always considered the state,
politics, education, religion, the law and other activities not directly a part of material production to be
ideological forms or manifestations of ideology . The second criteria is the highest authority class will

the fourth criteria is each specific expression of ideology is mediated, which can be explained as

and many more. During first cold war, from late 1940 to mid 1960, most of the Hollywood cinema

Politics And Religion By Gerard Hauser
Politics and religion have long been entangled in the United States. The United States has struggled
with the question of how to maintain an appropriate combination of religion and politics in the public
sphere for a long time. Gerard Hauser argues that public spheres are discursive spaces where society
deliberates about normative standards and even develops new frameworks for expressing and
evaluating social reality . Religion is part of the public sphere and has an influence in American
political life in affairs such as leadership, legislation and voter partisanship. Religious rhetoric plays
an important role in defining the boundaries of the political community and in setting the tone for
political discourse. American democracy owes its birth to the influence of a specific form of
Christianity: English Puritanism. The Pilgrims, laid the essential groundwork for America s
experiment in self government. Religion was in fact the primary reason for the northern settler s
immigration to the New World. These settlers known as Pilgrims because their journey had a religious
purpose . They sought to build Puritan communities, to live in America in their manner and pray to
God in freedom . The Pilgrims came to establish religious communities, but their beliefs called for
such communities to be instituted and administered by the consent of the governed. (Holloway,
Carson) As time went by, they began to constitute and frame laws, ordinances, acts and constitutions.

Who Is Boose In To Kill A Mockingbird
When I look back on my experience in Maycomb County, I remember the kinds of things people
thought of others, just cause they were different, or just cause they didn t take part in normal things.
Arthur Boo Radley definitely was one of those people who was judged harshly by normal folk. People
believed that he was a malevolent phantom (8) who committed crimes and peeped in windows (9).
Even after the real culprit of the crimes was revealed, everyone was unwilling to discard their initial
suspicions (9). Jem and I also believed it ourselves, completely oblivious to the fact that the town

The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari Analysis
The relationship between the frame story and the framed story in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is the
central key to understanding the message the film tries to convey to the audience. This essay will
cover the how the resolution of the frame story changes the meaning of the framed story told by
Francis, the impact and importance of the style of the framed story, and the important analytical
interpretation of why the story ended the way it does. The film opens with Francis sitting in a garden
with a fellow inmate, even though to the viewer there is no premonition that they are inmates, When
Jane walks by in a trance Francis is triggered into recounting the tale of how they were once engaged,
and why she acts now the way she does. At this point there is still no confirmation that anyone is
insane even though to the audience Jane seems to be in her own world. The film then enters the
framed story where the bulk of the narration and film will take place until it ... Show more content on

In the characters of Jane and Caesar we see drastic departures of how they act in the present day
versus in Francis mind. However, it can be noted that even in the frame story there is still use of
obscure imagery with the spider like branches, foreboding wall, and distorted decorations on the
leaves and wall. Speculating that this reality may also not be trustworthy. It is left ambiguous because
both frame and framed parts of the story exhibit the same questions as to whether even Caligari is

expressionistic style with its framed narrative. The film is cited as one of the first horror films and

Essay on Commonality of Synesthesia Induced by Serotonin
The study of synesthesia has grown exponentially over the past few decades and as a result there is
some level of ambiguity as to the scope of what defines it. Gail Martino and Lawrence Mark propose
that synesthesia can be categorized into strong or weak. The former refers to those who experience a
vivid image in one sensory in response to stimulation in another , whereas the latter is characterized as
cross sensory correspondence[s] expressed through language, perceptual similarity and perceptual
interactions during information processing (Martino and Marks, 2001). This view implies that even
the subtlest forms of cross modal interactions that take place in the individual, albeit associating
certain sounds to sight, deserve some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conversely, the administration of melatonin allowed for a subject to experience grapheme color
synesthesia, in which S1 activation was lowered allowing for the dis inhibit[ion] of S2a receptors
leading to synesthesia (p. 903). These conclusions thus support the notion that the uptake of serotonin
in the S2a receptors has some correlation to synesthetic experience, yet it is unclear which S2a
receptors were specifically looked at. Berit Brogaard recently conducted a study that looked at Brang
and Ramachandran s serotonin hypothesis across drug induced and acquired forms of synesthesia.
Brogaard states that it has been shown in several studies that psychedelic hallucinogens that function
primarily as serotonin agonists, such as LSD, often induce auditorial visual synesthesia . It is believed
that this form of drug induced synesthesia is a result of an alternation of functional brain connectivity
caused by the binding of serotonin to S2a receptors (p. 5). In regards to acquired synesthesia following
brain injury research has shown that necrosis following tissue damage leads to local neurotransmitter
flooding caused by an excessive release of serotonin and glutamate (Brogaard, 2013). Damaged tissue
requires the cells in the brain to shift to anaerobic glycolysis, which quickly depletes the ATP levels
present and ultimately causes the membrane ion

The Movie American History X
Recently I watched the movie American History X. Its major subjects are gang violence and racism,
that has been passed on from generation to generation. It also asked questions like, what were their
racist ideas really based on, how did racism effect the community, can racism be reshaped by actual
experiences, and how or why racism to begin with? Racism has been the main topic in the judicial
system, police affairs, and racially divided communities for years but it s neither disappearing nor
growing to this today.
In this movie the main character was a man named Derek. After the death of his father, due to gang
violence, he became a racist to all others but white people. He blamed the lack of jobs and poor wages
on the blacks and immigrants. In an interview he had after the death of his father he stated that, it s all
the blacks fault for all the violence in their neighborhood. He also said that, they brought all the
diseases like AIDS and it s their problem and why did they have to bring it to the white people. Before
he vandalized a store, owned by a Chinese man, with his other racist friends he told them why they
were doing this. He told them that these immigrates come here an instead of looking for the American
dream they come and take advantage of it and by firing those who worked there before and hiring
Mexicans and blacks, that are willing to work at a low wage, they make more money. So he and his
friends need to show them that they indeed don t belong here and

ABC and the Australian Multimedia Industry
As the ABC is an organisation heavily involved within the Australian Multimedia Industry, the tools
and equipment used are integral to the quality of the content produced. For different areas of
production, the tools and equipment used will differ, for example, when working in television,
equipment would include a set, cameras, tripods, microphones, props, lighting, video monitors and
teleprompter. To edit and deliver good quality television content, the department would use various
editing tools and software s during post production focusing on almost all areas of audience
experience such as visuals and audio. Some of these tools include Photoshop, Adobe After Effects,
Flash and Computer generated imagery (CGI). When working with radio, the equipment needed to
produce a podcast or broadcast includes a sound proof room or studio, sound boards, microphones and
switchboards and the tools used for editing would be solely based around sounds to enhance the
audience s aural experience, so this would include sound editing software such as audacity.
ABC Television works with independent producers to ensure that the content being delivered to the
public is diverse and unique. Strict processes are followed by both parties to ensure that the content is
of high quality and serves a purpose to the audience.
THE PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION WITH THE ABC IS AS
FOLLOWS;
1. Commissioning Process:

Sprit Airline Case Study
Sprit Airline was founded in 1964 as Clppert Trucking Company. In 1974 they changed their name to
Ground Air Transfer, Inc. In 1983, they started doing business as Charter One, a Detroit based charter
tour operator providing travel packages to entertainment destinations such as Atlantic City, Las Vegas
and the Bahamas. In 1992, Charter One changed its name to Spirit Airlines; they then began
scheduling passenger service to places such as Fort Lauderdale, Detroit, Myrtle Beach, Los Angeles
and New York. Spirit airline relocated its headquarters to Miramar, Florida in December 1999.
Products And Merger
Sprit airline is an oligopoly market. An oligopoly exists when a market is controlled by a small group
of firms, often because the barrier to entry is significant enough to discourage potential competitors
from entering it. As of 2014, five major airline carriers earn 70% of industry revenues, and the barrier
to entry for new companies is substantial.
Structure
There are over 5000 airlines with ICAO codes. The world s largest airline by fleet size and passengers
carried is American Airlines, operating from the United States.
In December 1995, Spirit started daily flights from Detroit to Philadelphia, with fares as low as $49
one way. At the time, the Detroit Philadelphia market was divided between Northwest and US
Airways in a 70% 30% split. Northwest airline dropped its fare to $49 matching Spirit s fare and
added another daily flight. Northwest s pricing and capacity

Modern Day Leadership Is Not Black And White
In my short but fulfilling career I have had many opportunities to lead different groups and
organizations. These organizations have been in a vast number of areas such as for profit, non profit,
community based and governmental agencies. These unique set of experiences have given me a
different understanding of leadership in different fields and allows me to take the best in each and
apply it to the other. Leadership to me is not a definable word rather it is a living theory that changes
through generational spans. Therefore, I think the best theory or style of leadership has to be a mix of
all theory s and concepts. From understanding your true north and what induvial traits, skills and
abilities you as a leader have to different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a leader, I need to inspire those around me to succeed and reach for the impossible. It is my job to
form the effective team because a leader is only as good as those around him. As I mentioned above
Leadership to me is living and breathing theory idea. If you take a look at the different theories, from
Trait, Behavioral, Situational, New Leadership and Emerging each has built off of each other
(Northouse, 2014). As our society continues to develop and people become educated our
understanding will increase not because we are growing but because more people are questioning and
are asking why they are being told what to do.
An example of what typifies leadership to me is a contrary to what a leader should do. As the elected
secretary in my masonic fraternity it is my job to see the lodge business in conducted in accordance to
all fraternal rules and governmental laws. Our organizational hierarchy is as follows; Worshipful
Master, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, and Secretary. In a business organization that would correlate
as follows, President, Senior Vice President, Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer. That being
said, during my 5 years in office I have had five different leaders and five different archetypes that
really define how I look at leadership (George, 2007). The worst by far was the rationalizer (George,
2007). As I mentioned before in one of my weekly posts

The Giver novel published in 1993 written by Lois Lowry. And until after 21 years, released on big
screen directed by Philip Noyce. The Giver is a must read, about a teenage boy, 16 years of age, Jonas
(Brenton Thwaites) living in a far futuristic dystopian society where everything seems to be a
PERFECT life with Sameness. But when Jonas is selected instead of assigned a job, he is to receive
memory from the Giver (Jeff Bridges) as his assigned role. Jonas realises the bright and dark
factualities of his community. And with the dark truths, Jonas decides to try to escape from the society

From the novel to the film, Noyce, and screenwriters Michael Mitnick and Robert Weide stay close to
the plot and characters with some significant changes. The movie begins introducing the community
and their technological dwellings where Jonas, his assigned parents (Alexander Skarsgard and Katie
Holmes) and younger sister (Emma Tremblay) live as black and white to show what the people living
in the community see as it is not very interesting. But in the book, it begins with the recent release

The Importance Of Technology And Technology
Technology has become a vital part of the insurance over the past decade in a plethora of ways,
ranging from mobility to Big Data, and even social media. We are in a new era and insurance

society. By utilizing the technology and new ways, they are maximizing customer outreach and
satisfaction. The need for personal interaction is still a must, but slowly diminishing, yet there will
always be a need especially for the elderly generations. Mobility consists mostly of apps and cellular

By using Big Data, companies can take the past accidents and experiences that have occurred and
build a model to help predict what might likely happen in the future. These models that help predict
the future are built from the relationships between variables from the collected data. There are many
uses for the Big Data, but one very important use is for insurance premiums. Tying back to efficiency,
which is the most important vocabulary word of insurance, to be able to cover their risks and make a
profit at the same time companies must set their premium prices at the appropriate level; exactly
where the Big Data comes into play. It is even working its way into health and life insurance with the
establishment of the Apple Watch and Fitbit, because consumers can monitor and record their activity
and lifestyles. These recordings offer companies proof of healthy customers, therefore gifting them
with discounts. To market their products as efficiently as possible, and to grasp the attention of newer
generations, insurance companies are utilizing social media pushing their profitability to the maximum
level. They are branding themselves so that their potential customers can differentiate between
products, and so that they can hit the proper audiences. With the adaptation to social media, companies

Why Secondary Schools Should Not Have Recess
Secondary schools should not have recess. There are many reasons why secondary schools should not
have recess. Teachers don t have enough time to teach their kids if there is recess. Kids also need more
time to learn things. If there is recess then they don t have enough time to learn those things that they
need to know. The reason that recess should not be banned because the teachers don t have enough
time to teach their class every thing that they need to teach. In the text it says, He says other teachers
tell him the recesses make it harder to keep regular lessons on schedule. The quote tells us why
secondary schools shouldn t have recess by telling us how much harder it is for teachers to keep a

of the relation between morality and law. In the first section of his essay, he defends the Source Thesis
where he explains the nature of legitimate practical authority. The second section, the implication of
this analysis is elucidated to show the relevancy to our understanding of the law. The relation of the
analysis with the there theses is examined. In the last section the connection between law and morality

the features of moral good. This is also why he says that the Separability Thesis is implausible as
every legal system does some moral good. He says that all moral consequences of legal rule are part of

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost Essay
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
In Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken, (reprinted in Laurence Perrine and Thomas R. Arp, Sound and
Senses, 8th ed. [San Diego: Harcourt, 1992] 23) the speaker stands in the woods, considering a fork in
the road. Both ways are equally worn, and equally overlaid with un trodden leaves. The speaker
chooses one, telling himself that he will take the other another day. Yet he knows it is unlikely that he
will have the opportunity to do so. And he admits that someday in the future he will recreate the scene
with a slight twist: he will claim that he took the less traveled road. The whole poem is an extended
metaphor, where Frost describes a path in the woods that is directly comparable to a major ... Show

Frost presents to the reader a man s decision, at a turning point in his life, symbolized by two roads
diverged in a yellow wood.
In the first line, Frost introduces the elements of his primary metaphor: the diverging roads. The
speaker expresses his regret that [he] could not travel both (line 2). The choice is not easily made since
long I stood (line 3) before coming to a decision. In an attempt to make a choice, the traveler examines
the path as far as [he] could (line 4), but his vision is limited because the path bends and is covered in
the undergrowth (line 5). Thus, indicating that although he would have liked to acquire more
information, he is prevented from doing so because of the nature of his environment. In lines 6 8, the
speaker is still unable to decide between the two paths since the other, [is] just as fair (line 6). He
indicates that the second path is a more attractive choice since it was grassy and wanted wear (line 8).
Nevertheless, by the end of the stanza, he remains ambivalent, even after comparing the two paths, for
each was really about the same (line 10). Neither path has been traveled lately. In the third stanza, the
speaker makes his decision, trying to persuade himself that he will eventually come back (line 15) to
satisfy his desire and curiosity to travel both paths. However, deep down, he admits to himself that

  • 2. Samsung Galaxy Note7 Case Study Samsung owns the market right now. Samsung is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world. They also sell all kinds of other products. Their focus is of course on their Android smartphone/tablet/wearables business. Samsung grew at an incredible rate over the years to become what it is now. They outsell even Apple when it comes to smartphone/tablet sales. The company pivots and produces quickly, coming out with a variety of devices. It sees what the market responds to, pushes successes, and kills failures. And now, rather than just providing a cheaper and lesser iPhone, it s differentiated itself with larger screens, different features, successful marketing, and delivering what consumers want. The Note is a perfect example. The company found through market research that Asian language speakers wanted a device that they could hand write on, because drawing characters is easier with a pen. The result was a combination phone/tablet ( phablet ) that s been an unexpected hit. However, there was some setbacks this year with the production of the Samsung Galaxy Note7. Samsung produced the Galaxy Note 7 in August expecting to deliver a smartphone that could take on and take down the iPhone 7. Before long, unfortunately, buyers reported that the device was heating up and for some, exploding. Samsung is blaming the malfunction on a manufacturing problem with batteries at one of its suppliers. In September, Samsung began a recall and reproduced its second run Galaxy ... • 3. Christian Theology And Psychology Is Necessary Living in a pluralistic world naturally lends its inhabitants to a culture plentiful of varying belief systems in which integration becomes beneficial, as opposed to detrimental. Theology, or more specifically Christianity, and the field of psychology are central ideologies that often call into question the need for unification. The intermingling of the two for certain people is logical; whereas, others view them as absolutely distinct with no benefit of integrating. Either standpoint offers valid claims with both being worthy of examination. The idea of whether or not integrating Christian theology with psychology is necessary is well stated by David Cartwright (2010), a professor at Colorado Christian University, in that this depends on one s perspective (Integration of..., Video 1). Certain Christian circles believe that not only should these two areas be interrelated, but they also naturally are, as all things fall under God s realm of creation. Yet, other believers stake their claim in a different camp with the mindset that theology and psychology should never intersect, let alone meld into one another. On the opposite end of the spectrum, this question is a moot point for one who adheres to an atheistic worldview. Personally, my stance follows a Christ centered worldview, thus, aligning with author David Entwistle s proposal of the allies approach. Truth originates with God, and either discipline affords one the means to seek out knowledge concerning humanity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Castaway Analysis In the movie Castaway, Chuck Noland is marooned on a deserted island by himself. He lost everyone he ever knew and because of that he started to go insane. To cope with this, he created a friend for himself, helping him keep his sanity and to be less lonely. At times, he lost motivation, and he almost gave up. Noland learned how to get food, clean water, and make a shelter in the four years he was on the island, fulfilling his basic needs . Ultimately, the main reason he almost died multiple times while marooned was because he was alone. Love and belongingness needs are one of the most important needs for human survival because without human interaction, one could lose their sanity, motivation, and can become lonely. Some people who follow Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs believe that the basic needs are the most important needs. Seeing as how the basic needs include food, water, and rest, this makes sense. Without those essentials, one will die. In the book The Clay Marble by Minfong Ho, in chapter nine, a young refugee named Dara is walking back to her campsite after being separated from her family. I noticed an old man looking at me curiously. He was sitting with his own family, holding a plate of cold rice. I looked at it hungrily, but could not bring myself to ask for any food. Dara is rejecting asking for food, and yet the only reason she is there in the first place is to find her family. Dara cannot bear to lose them, and would rather go hungry looking for them than be fully nourished without them. This shows how much risk people will go through for the ones they love. Dara wandered back to her campsite, right after it had been bombed, to try and find the people she loved. Eating, drinking, and sleeping are key human instincts, but on the other hand, so is love. In the article Homeless turn lives around step by step , in which the topic is a woman who started a running club for homeless people, On line 36, Anne Mahlum, the founder of the running club, Back On My Feet, state s: Right above those needs is an innate desire to be recognized, valued, appreciated, loved and cared for. These desires, just like those of food and shelter, do not become less important as we grow older. Love and Belongingness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Fiery Inferno Into the Fiery Inferno I am destruction, death, and danger. I am fierce, wild, and unpredictable. I am hot, warming, and light giving. In me there is death; in me there is new life. I am mysterious, ever changing, and beautiful. I am fire. I have been an object of curiosity forever; one minute I warm, give light, and comfort; the next I destroy, devastate, and horrify. The humans have tried to harness me and my almost endless power for their own wellbeing for millennia, and I often comply and give them a portion of my power. There are times, however, that I become bored with being contained and long to reign free. When this happens, it is very hard to stop me. I am always hungry and never satisfied, continually reaching out with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I lingered in the coals of my burnt fuel, struggling to stay alive. I was low on fuel, and knew that if I didn t do something quick that I would be extinguished. I looked around and noticed a pile of sticks and straw nearby. With the last reserves of my strength I flung a piece of me into the straw which, after a brief pause, ignited. I took a deep breathe of oxygen, which gave me more strength, and smiled. Finally, I was out of that horrible stone cage in which the humans had trapped me. Finally, I was free. I didn t waste any time dawdling; I knew that any moment now the humans could sound the alarm and I would be caught and subdued. I quickly reached out, feeling my ever changing form tickle the pile of wood nearby, and felt the wood catch. I felt another sense of accomplishment as I pulled myself into the pile of wood and started devouring it as a starving man would devour a plate of delicious food that had been set before him. With each piece of wood and particle of fuel I felt myself gaining power. Soon I had spread even further into the house and my power had grown stronger as well. I was well established now and burning fiercely. Just then one of the baker s servants heard me hissing and crackling and came out of his room to investigate. When he saw me his eyes widened into big orbs of surprise and fear, and he ran back through the house screaming the alarm. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Powers Of Ten Analysis To begin, much like space, the videos and books read and listened to, covered a lot of ground. What these sources explained was simply how big space is and our microscopic place is inside such a colossal surrounding of stars, galaxies, Nebulas, and so much more. To first get a reference point of our closer neighbors, we were brought through an adventure in the countryside with Bill Nye to acknowledge the unimaginable distances between the planets. For example, when earth was scaled to the size of a baseball, it took over well over two miles to reach an absolutely tiny scale model of Pluto. This is striking on it s own and even more staggering is the fact that Pluto is but a inconsequential speck on the map of the solar system, galaxy, and universe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The short documentary begins at the hand, or thumb, of a man picnicking in Chicago, then things change. As hinted by the title, the frame of reference begins to move away from the hand at a power of ten, and within second viewers have been immersed into space. From that moment forward, our planet, our sun, our solar system, even the our Galaxy, The Milky Way, shrink out of sight into a bewildering cluster of galaxies. Third and finally, a representation of the space around us was shared though the art of words and all things considered, stuns readers the same way as two minutes of film does. The book is titled A Short History of Nearly Everything, written by Bill Bryson. The passages read focussed around our home town , or solar system. In movies from recent decades and even 40 years ago, humans are shown zooming through the sky, galaxy to galaxy, but this is sorely not the case. As written, humans will never leave even our own group of planets. That is unless we have a spaceship capable of sustaining multiple generations though the Orc Cloud, a 10,000 year journey, and that is from Pluto, of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Terracotta Etruscan Vase Analysis I saw a terracotta Etruscan vase at the Walters Museum, on November 4, 2015. Created by Micali Painter, it stands 16¾ high and has a circumference of 10¼, excavated between 500 490, BCE in Cerveteri, Italy. The museum provenance for the container states that it was purchased in 1902 by Henry Walters from the Don Marcello Massarenti Collection in Rome ( Black Walters). A close look at the vase reveals unclothed, energetically running satyrs. Above them, birds face in the opposite direction, closer to the neck of the vessel. The wild satyrs with their powerful physique caught my imagination and attention. The amphora was created in the Archaic Period, historians use the term archaic, to suggest that a work is primitive, antiquated or old fashioned, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their use caused them to be indispensable, and their presence desired along with Greek imports. We can form an idea of the main differences between Greek and Etruscan vases. Greek images are used for their narrative qualities and symbolism; the erotic pleasures of mortal life and a prospect of eternal feasting in the afterlife. Etruscan paintings conveyed a clear sense of an exuberant enjoyment of life, with dancing couples and other human characters looking strong, healthy and filled with life. The art captured human emotion much better than the more stylized Greek art. During the 4th and 5th centuries BCE, Greek fleets began to plunder the coastal cities, the Gaul s overtook the Po Valley, and without unity among the citizens, the Etruscans were overwhelmed. Extensive sculpture and artwork were destroyed when around 396 BCE, Etruscans were overcome by the Romans and absorbed into the empire ( Etruscan Collins). The short time period when the culture survived independently, they created amphora that was magnificent in style, in my opinion, and vital in its use. The symmetry of the handles suggests the stability of the symmetrical piece. While gazing at the item, I realized that this ancient and delicate artifact is in remarkable condition. To imagine all of the individuals that utilized the amphora in some way, and its travels throughout its life during the last 2500 years, is a journey I will never fully ... Before his death due to the complications of hepatitis at the Keio University Hospital in Tokyo at the age of 73, Endo had written numerous prominent novels which includes The Sea and the Poison in 1957, Life of Jesus in 1973, and Scandal in 1986. During his lifetime, he had also received 4 awards, which includes the 2 most prestigious literary awards in Japan: the Akutagawa Prize for his work White Men in 1955, and the Tanizaki Award, just one year after it had been established, for his most popular work Silence in 1966. During her and her husband s visit to the hospital in which Suguro was confined, she was mentioned to have been wearing a white Ōshima kimono (白大島着物, shiro ōshima kimono). Ōshima kimonos are expensive, high quality kimonos produced on Japan s Amami Ōshima Island. According to Martin Fackler of The Seattle Times, it takes 30 separate steps to produce one kimono, which, at the peak of the kimono in Japan, can sell for more than $10,000 apiece. This information, along with the textual evidence found in the story such as her husband being an official of the Economic Planning Agency and the couple playing golf together, further supports the idea that Yasuko and her husband are wealthy. Meanwhile, the color of Yasuko s kimono, white, is created by dyeing fine silk fabric in the white mud of the volcanic ashes of Mt. Sakurajima, which is an active volcano found in the Kagoshima Prefecture. Another notable piece in Yasuko s attire is her crimson obi (唐紅帯, karakurenai obi), which is, according to the ImmortalGeisha, a broad belt or sash tied around a woman s waist to close the kimono and hold it in place. In Japanese culture, the colors red and white are considered auspicious colors and represent purity and truth, leading them to be worn during many special occasions such as births and weddings. However, there are underlying wordplays in these two colors that are relevant to the story, according to the Yamakawa Dojo Iaijutsu. Red in Japanese is 赤 (aka), and because a ... • 9. Discipus Reflection Paper Jesus is sending his disciples, sheep, to be among the men who are persecutors, wolves. He is also warning them that they will experience troubles on the way from the governments, courts and also their friends and families. However, he is saying that going into trial is not bad because in these moments they have their advantage to spread His word so they can see the glory. Jesus says not to worry when they are arrested because God will help them with what to say. Throughout the New Testament Jesus is compared to a shepherd leading and protecting his flock, but this scripture Jesus is not there among the sheep protecting them. The disciples have been sharing the good news about Jesus and once he is sacrificed, resurrected into heaven, he will not be there physically for the disciples to have nearby and protect them. They will be the sheep among the wolves needing to protect for themselves. Whenever the government has a conflict with God s word, Jesus is the one who steps in to share a parable and let the pharisees know what God s law is, but once he goes to Heaven, he will not be around to speak on behalf of God. The disciples will be on there own and Jesus is trying to prepare them for this. Jesus knows the disciples will be weak and defenseless without him there to step in and help, but through this scripture, he continues to prepare his disciples for what they need to do when spreading the word and others are in disbelief. Power and Energy Crisis of Bangladesh Introduction Bangladesh is a country that has been exploited by many super powers in the past. 1st it was the British and then stated the Pakistani regime. Continuously oppressed and exploited by these powers the resources of this country were already half exhausted. The Base case uses GDP figures whose compound average annual growth rate is 5.2%. The low case GDP figures average annual rate is 4.5%. The high case is based on a GOB forecast with an annual average rate of 8.0%. Josh Turner Professor Mayes History 110 4/9/2015 Great dynasties in Imperialistic China Ancient China was always able to flourish as a powerful economic and imperialistic country. Behind this great amount of early success were great dynasties that played great roles in China s history. China has always been highly influenced by its great ancient dynasties. These dynasties were able to establish monetary systems, road and canal systems for trade, and also build great elaborate historic structures that still stand today. They also influenced different philosophies such as Taoism and Confucianism. In the long history of China, many great dynasties appear that have helped a lot to the development of the whole country. The Han dynasty was another highly successful dynasty in Chinese history it covered over four centuries from 206 BC 220 AD and it is known as the Golden Age in Chinese history. They were considered this for many reasons; they had the city of Chang an which was one of the two largest cities in the ancient world at this time. The dynasty had a large growth in population and urbanization which allowed for an increase of industry and trade which developed on the Silk Road routes. This ultimately led to an increase in economic growth. According to the German philosophers Marx and Engels, (1978) ideology is identify as the relative systematic body of ideas, perception, and the actual subconscious though of a given class, or group of individual in a certain time and place. • 15. Politics And Religion By Gerard Hauser Politics and religion have long been entangled in the United States. The United States has struggled with the question of how to maintain an appropriate combination of religion and politics in the public sphere for a long time. Gerard Hauser argues that public spheres are discursive spaces where society deliberates about normative standards and even develops new frameworks for expressing and evaluating social reality . Religion is part of the public sphere and has an influence in American political life in affairs such as leadership, legislation and voter partisanship. Religious rhetoric plays an important role in defining the boundaries of the political community and in setting the tone for political discourse. American democracy owes its birth to the influence of a specific form of Christianity: English Puritanism. The Pilgrims, laid the essential groundwork for America s experiment in self government. Religion was in fact the primary reason for the northern settler s immigration to the New World. These settlers known as Pilgrims because their journey had a religious purpose . They sought to build Puritan communities, to live in America in their manner and pray to God in freedom . The Pilgrims came to establish religious communities, but their beliefs called for such communities to be instituted and administered by the consent of the governed. (Holloway, Carson) As time went by, they began to constitute and frame laws, ordinances, acts and constitutions. Our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari Analysis The relationship between the frame story and the framed story in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is the central key to understanding the message the film tries to convey to the audience. This essay will cover the how the resolution of the frame story changes the meaning of the framed story told by Francis, the impact and importance of the style of the framed story, and the important analytical interpretation of why the story ended the way it does. The film opens with Francis sitting in a garden with a fellow inmate, even though to the viewer there is no premonition that they are inmates, When Jane walks by in a trance Francis is triggered into recounting the tale of how they were once engaged, and why she acts now the way she does. At this point there is still no confirmation that anyone is insane even though to the audience Jane seems to be in her own world. Essay on Commonality of Synesthesia Induced by Serotonin The study of synesthesia has grown exponentially over the past few decades and as a result there is some level of ambiguity as to the scope of what defines it. Gail Martino and Lawrence Mark propose that synesthesia can be categorized into strong or weak. The former refers to those who experience a vivid image in one sensory in response to stimulation in another , whereas the latter is characterized as cross sensory correspondence[s] expressed through language, perceptual similarity and perceptual interactions during information processing (Martino and Marks, 2001). Conversely, the administration of melatonin allowed for a subject to experience grapheme color synesthesia, in which S1 activation was lowered allowing for the dis inhibit[ion] of S2a receptors leading to synesthesia (p. 903). These conclusions thus support the notion that the uptake of serotonin in the S2a receptors has some correlation to synesthetic experience, yet it is unclear which S2a receptors were specifically looked at. Berit Brogaard recently conducted a study that looked at Brang and Ramachandran s serotonin hypothesis across drug induced and acquired forms of synesthesia. Brogaard states that it has been shown in several studies that psychedelic hallucinogens that function primarily as serotonin agonists, such as LSD, often induce auditorial visual synesthesia . It is believed that this form of drug induced synesthesia is a result of an alternation of functional brain connectivity caused by the binding of serotonin to S2a receptors (p. 5). In regards to acquired synesthesia following brain injury research has shown that necrosis following tissue damage leads to local neurotransmitter flooding caused by an excessive release of serotonin and glutamate (Brogaard, 2013). Damaged tissue requires the cells in the brain to shift to anaerobic glycolysis, which quickly depletes the ATP levels present and ultimately causes the membrane ion ... It also asked questions like, what were their racist ideas really based on, how did racism effect the community, can racism be reshaped by actual experiences, and how or why racism to begin with? Racism has been the main topic in the judicial system, police affairs, and racially divided communities for years but it s neither disappearing nor growing to this today. In this movie the main character was a man named Derek. After the death of his father, due to gang violence, he became a racist to all others but white people. The choice is not easily made since long I stood (line 3) before coming to a decision.
